Hyuga Japanese Restaurant offers a pleasant and cozy atmosphere with simple but attractive facilities. Particularly noteworthy is the courteous and friendly staff, who make the visit a positive experience. However, I personally wasn't particularly impressed by the food, which is probably due to my own taste. However, I find the prices to be quite high when viewed together and also compared to the competition.

Everything was great, except that one person at our table got the appetizer and main course very late (after the others at the table were mostly done with both). Not sure what happened there.

The beer was very cold, as if the beer glass had come out of the freezer, and it was the best Kirin draft beer I've had recently. It took a while for the food to come out, but I understood because there were so many customers. The dish was very delicious. The fried octopus was a bit hard, but the tendon and grilled fish were especially delicious. The store was clean, the atmosphere was nice, and the staff were friendly enough to make you feel uncomfortable.

I had a celebration yesterday and went there with my family. I had attended them twice before at class reunions, but this was the first time for my family. The restaurant was bright with large windows, clean, and had plenty of space between tables. The food was, of course, very delicious, and the service staff was very attentive, such as asking if we wanted to order four items instead of three, depending on the number of people. It was a fun time. By the way, when it comes to grilled eggplant, why is it so fluffy and not bitter?

I specifically came here for the sashimi, but after ordering, we waited over 40 minutes with no sashimi. When we asked the server, they told us our order was mistakenly served to another table and it would take another 20 minutes to prepare. Moreover, right after we sat down, three dishes that weren't ours were brought to our table, which we immediately asked the server to take away. After a total of 50 minutes of waiting, all we got were a few apologies. The dining experience was extremely poor!!

If you want authentic Japanese cuisine, this is the place for you. The quality is simply great. The food was just great. The service is very very good. Recommendation Reservation is a must. The sushi 🍣 is a dream. Not exactly cheap, but it's also justified. We'd love to come back.

This is indeed a hidden gem Japanese place in Düsseldorf. The decoration and environment are so clean and cozy to enjoy a meal. Food wise, it is very authentic, just the same as what I have tasted in Japan before. I tried the yakiniku dong, which is so delicious with a raw egg. Service is so nice, and every one here comes with a smile. Good to try the lunch menu as a week reward for yourself!!

We wanted to eat there for the second time and had reserved a table by phone. When we arrived at the restaurant at the agreed time, this reservation could not be found. Since clarification was not possible in German and I cannot speak Japanese, we were not given a table. For me, this restaurant is not recommended because on the first visit the food was good, but the bill did not match what was ordered. In my opinion there are good alternatives to the Hyuga.

I ordered sushi, chirashi, and yaki saba. The sushi is fresh and delicious, but the tuna flavor is a bit lacking. The service is fast and friendly. I will definitely come back to try other menu items.

Very slow service and medium-high prices for poor dishes

Bad luck and diet. Full place, with many Japanese too, it presents itself well. It's not cheap but it looked like a nice dinner. Nothing, we order but our orders arrive very calmly, the last dish even took more than an hour (two fried vegetables with two fried leaves for €22...). We add some uramaki but after half an hour they don't arrive. Patience is not enough, it must have been bad luck. Flip a coin before booking. Good luck.

One of the most authentic Japanese restaurants in Düsseldorf, they recently moved close to the Rhin River. The midday menu is absolutely recommendable!

I wanted to try out the Hyuga, which I really appreciated in Litte Tokyo, after moving. Since I had my dog ​​with me, we weren't allowed in. But it doesn't say anywhere that dogs are not allowed. We then took our sushi takeaway. Unfortunately, the quality has also suffered. The restaurant itself looks very good. Nevertheless, in terms of price/performance, the Hyuga is no longer worth a real recommendation (115 EUR for 2 people without drinks). I'd rather go to Quomo with top quality and a view for a few euros more.

We enjoyed our time at Hyuga. The food was great and the service was beyond our expectation. We were able to experience authentic Japanese dining and the one of a kind Japanese hospitality. We definitely recommend this to friends and family.

Not only is it a premium sushi restaurant, but it is also in the top 3 best non-fine-dining Japanese hot cuisine in Düsseldorf and could arguably be number one. A person who knows can notice the techniques and concepts of perfectionism everywhere. At lunchtime five days a week, the restaurant offers sushi and sashimi as well as a selection of authentic Japanese homemade dishes and snacks at great prices. It's also worth noting that the restaurant probably also has the most diverse menu in Düsseldorf, considering the number of dishes on its long-limited lunch menu.

Have dined here a few times and always liked the lunches and dinners. However, I must say the recent visit was thoroughly disappointing; up to a point I even suspect there is a change of owner (maybe there is?). Not only the price went up significantly (e.g. almost 50% increase for a lunch sushi set), but the quality is also far below what was offered before (sashimis on the sushi are "dry"/less fresh, thinly cut and feels like of lower grade). It is sad as this restaurant used to be my go-to place whenever I am in Dusseldorf, and a constant recommendation to my friends. I can only hope this experience was a one-off! 1 star goes to the food experience and 2 additional to the staff who have been consistently friendly and pleasant.

Wunderbar. Ganz wie in einem guten, bodenständigen Restaurant in Japan. Die hohe Zahl japanischer Besucher auch am Abend bezeugt die Qualität. Nicht billig, aber absolut sein Geld wert. Auch wer bereits satt geworden ist, würde hier wirklich gerne noch weiter essen. Seit dem Umzug in die Kaiserswerther Straße mit mehr Plätzen und in schönerer Lage. Bestens per U-Bahn zu erreichen. Für mich das beste Restaurant in Düsseldorf.

Wonderful non nonsense eatery where the emphasis is on the quality of the food, ingredients and taste. Authentic Japanese dishes and some of the finest fatty tuna you can find.

Essen war einfach Bombe. Sushi Par excellence. Andere Teilnehmer hatten ebenfalls nichts auszusetzen. Für einen Japaner gibt's hier viele Vorspeisen auf der Karte.

Sushi in der eher oberen Preisklasse. Kommt nicht ganz an die Qualität und dem Geschmackserlebniss eines richtigem japanischem Sushi. Jedoch immernoch gutes „europäisches“ Sushi (Ausnahme: Thunfisch). Im Vergleich zu anderen japanischen Restaurants zu teuer.

Wir waren dort nach der Dokomi essen und haben sehr lecker japanisch gespeist. Offenbar ist dies ein Insider-Tip, da hier viele Japaner ebenfalls gegessen haben.

Very fresh seafood. We had the bowl (excellent!). The maki rolls were ok. If here, definitely opt for the bowl (around €35 but worth it). Prices a bit high considering the atmosphere but you must pay for quality so that is fine. If in the area, come by. I wouldn’t go out of my way, though.

I echo the comments below, for the money it's very good with an authentic, unassuming Japanese feel to it. You could be sitting in Yokohama in a place like this. Toro was the best of my sashimi with the scollop a close second.

Hervorragende Qualität des Essens, sehr freundliche Bedienung. Minimalistisch dekoriert. Wir waren mittags da und waren hauptsächlich umgeben von Japanern, die das Menü sichtlich genossen haben. Wer allerdings nicht mit Stäbchen umgehen kann, wird sich etwas fehl am Platze fühlen.

Geschmacklicher Wahnsinn. Bis auf die Pickles fanden wir alles 1A. Nichts war zu trocken, zäh, versalzen oder ähnlich. Es war alles perfekt zubereitet. Vor allem das Katsu hat uns sehr beeindruckt. Das hat allerdings auch sehr viel Zeit in Anspruch genommen. Wir mussten relativ lange warten auf unsere Gerichte. Es kam leider auch nichts zeitgleich sondern alles nacheinander mit gewissen Zeitabständen. Insgesamt ein preislich höher angesiedeltes Lokal, aber die Qualität hier stimmt dafür definitiv. Definitiv einen Besuch wert wer gute Küche mag.

Hyuga auf der Kaiserswerther Straße gegen 12.30h besucht. Super lecker! Location war zu 98% zu dieser Zeit ausgebucht, reservieren kann man mittags nicht, macht das ganze noch sympathischer. Ab 18h muss reserviert werden, da anscheinend ständig voll besetzt. Zu 2/3 von Japanern aufgesucht; Geheimtipp für uns Europäer. Nächste Woche gehen wir mit 12 Arbeitskollegen Abendessen vor Ort, natürlich reserviert👍

Ich bin jetzt zum Mittagstisch zweimal gegen 1:00 Uhr bis 1:30 Uhr gekommen und das Sushi Set beziehungsweise das halbe Menü war bereits ausverkauft. D.h. wenn du Sushi haben möchtest, solltest du zwischen 12 bis 12:30 Uhr erscheinen. Ich fand es immer noch relativ hochpreisig. Die Garage waren knusprig, aber ich fand die von Takumi persönlich besser, weil die mehr knuspriger und vom Teig mir besser gefallen haben. Das Curry hingegen war sehr lecker. Mir hätte katsu dazu sehr gut gepasst. Das sushi ist ok. Für 19 Euro gab es chu Toro maki und sechs nigiris. Die Ebi nigiri war sehr enttäuschend. Rest war ok. Der reis war kalt und fest. Ich hatte das sushi besser in Erinnerung muss hinterher sagen das yabase und nagomi dann doch vorne liegen.

Super japanisches Sushi Restaurant - darf man gar nicht verraten - wäre schade wenn es jeder weiss und es noch voller wird. Sushi der spitzenklasse inkl. frisch gezapftem japanischem Premium Kirin Bier. Wer mal dort war kommt immer wieder.

Nach langer Zeit mein erster Besuch im Hyuga in der neuen Location. Sehr schick, das familiäre Flair von früher fehlte mir aber etwas. Man sollte unbedingt reservieren, wir hatten Glück an der Bar noch Plätze zu bekommen. Service und Essen waren super, die Preise sind beim Abendmenü etwas höher. Klare Empfehlung für authentisch japanische Küche.

Das Hyuga ist mittlerweile mein Lieblingsrestaurant unter den japanischen Restaurants zum Mittagessen geworden. Es gibt ein täglich wechselndes Mittagsmenü. Insbesondere das meistens Samstags erhältliche und limitierte Hyuga Menü ist ein echter Genuss. Zudem ist es eines der wenigen japanischen Restaurants in Düsseldorf, wo es den Grüntee mittags noch gratis dazu gibt. Auch der Service ist sehr herzlich und das Restaurant bietet eine tolle Atmosphäre.

메뉴판에는 있지만 방문 당일 주문 불가한 음식들이 너무 많았습니다;( 뒤셀도르프에서 괜찮은 일식집이라는 추천을 듣고 방문! 대체로 음식의 맛은 괜찮은 편이고 맥주는 역시 맛있었습니다.

We had once of our best meal in the restaurant! The dishes were very authentic, and prepared to perfection , even the very simple dishes like tofu or fried squid. Be prepared to step out of your comfort zone when coming here. The omakase sashimi platter is to die for, well worth the price. The service is nice, attentive but still very respectful to your privacy. All in all we love it so much, given we been to all the famous japanese restaurants in Düsseldorf

Essen ist lecker, aber jedes Dritte mal werden die Öffnungszeiten nicht richtig kommuniziert und man steht vor einer geschlossenen Tür. Es sollte doch möglich sein, die Öffnungszeiten bei Google aktuell zu halten.

夜に訪れましたが、品質の高い日本料理を味わうことができ、種類も豊富です。 以前昼に行った時はランチメニューもやっていて、ドイツにある日本レストランでは値段が高過ぎずそれなりの価格で美味しい日本食を味わう事ができます。 またランチタイムでは日替わりメニューもあるのは嬉しい！ 店員さんの接客も丁寧で、調理する方は日本人らしく活気が溢れていて、お腹も心も満腹になれます。

Gutes japanisches Essen. 🍣 🍱 Eine Tischreservierung ist zu empfehlen. Wir haben an der Bar gesessen und konnten dem „Sushi-Meister“ direkt zuschauen - ein tolles Erlebnis. Alles super frisch und sehr lecker. Der Service ist sehr nett und schnell. Vielen Dank! Macht weiter so, wir kommen gern wieder!
