Hofbrau's Einspruch in Passau

So unscheinbar von außen so großartig sind Speisen und Gastfreundschaft. Abseits vom Trends und Hauptplatz Nähe der Jesuitenkirche. Draußen sitzen in der Sonne trotz 1°C mit Tischservice und Blick auf Mariahilf.

We stumbled upon this local traditional German restaurant. Although the menu was in German the owner was quick to explain and help us make our selection. The food was tasty and the beer is local. All in all a wonderful experience .we shared some Bradwurst and then had Gulash with Spetzle and venison with home made spetzle. Very tasty and we will surely return in the future

We had excellent service and the food was exceptional. Very helpful when there is a language barrier and we enjoyed our experience so much we decided to go back for a second lunch.

After taking a stroll along the river, we came upon Hofbrau’s Einspruch. It is small and very charming. We had a lovely table. The owner is charming and most helpful. I had a fabulous Hungarian Beef with spaetle that was to die for. My wife had a beef goulash with dumplings and red cabbage which she loved. High quality and creative cooking and presentation and the price was extremely modest 43 Euros with a small split of champagne and a small bottle of Austrian red wine. If you are a wine connoisseur this isn’t for you. Just one choice of Austrian red and no German whites, hence the champagne- which was excellent. I think most people who go there focus on beer. Don’t be put off by the small size of the restaurant. Perhaps a dozen tables. It is what makes the charm.

Direkt neben der Kirche. Tolle Atmosphäre. Sehr sehr sehr nette Bedingungen. Waren dreimal hier. Die besten Weißwürste, die ich jemals gegessen habe. Nicht fett, nucht knorbelig, einfach gut.

Wurst Salat leider eine Miniatur Ausführung Schweinebraten ist ok .Es gibt in Passau wesentlich besser Adressen um zum Essen zu gehen

Mittelmäßiges Kneipenessen. Hatte den Gulasch - viele Spätzle und 5-6 Stücke Fleisch in Fertigsoße. Preis-Leistung stimmt nicht. Zum Sattwerden bei akutem Hunger noch ok.

Wir wollten uns mit einem warmen Getränk aufwärmen und bestellten heiße Schokolade. Was man hieran falsch machen kann ist mir ein Rätsel. Keinem von uns hat sie geschmeckt. Die Schokolade hat sehr wässrig geschmeckt. Auf dem Weg zur Toilette geht man durch die Kaffeeküche. Appetitlich ist leider auch anders.

Dieses feine Mahl hat meinem Gaumen geschmeichelt.Auch die Knödel und das Sauerkraut waren exzellent. Sehr zu empfehlen

Ein kleines Bierlokal im Zentrum, das Bier bzw. die Getränke hätte kälter sein können, aber ist auch eine Momentaufnahme. War nett im kleinen Gastgarten.

Пиво действительно качественное, еда хорошая, но - Готовилась она слишком долго (около 1-1,5 часов, 1 человек на кухне, а это значит, что ресторан не справляется с нагрузкой) - Предположительно от капусты, которую подали, моей спутнице стало нехорошо, однако это установить точно невозможно, хотя стоит упомянуть Атмосфера уютная, расположение хорошее и пиво вас уж точно не подведёт.

While most restaurant close for lunch at 2:30, this one doesn't. Which is just as well as we would have missed this treasure. Simple local food not pretentious and great value. Delicious sausages and asparagus soup next to some famous Madonna that the waitress cared much more about than us. Lovely experience.

Consiglio vivamente a tutti quanti chi vuole assaggiare la vera cucina bavarese. Abbiamo ordinato la zuppa chili e la carne con deliziose sfere di patate- knodel. Il prezzo del pranzo completo , compresa la birra del posto, è inferiore a 20 euro. L'atmosfera del locale è molto accogliente e simpatica. Рекомендую посетить этот ресторанчик всем, кто умеет ценить блюда, приготовленные по традиционным рецептам. И супы, и вторые блюда здесь необычайно вкусны, а кнедли- сферы из картофеля- просто великолепны. Цены очень демократичны, а сердечность хозяев не знает границ.

Stopped in for a late lunch after a tour. We hung around the area ourselves for awhile, and rain cleared a lot of the tourists away. Wanted just a small bite and a bowl of soup, and this place was perfect. Small, seemingly authentic enough, quiet; seemed to be family-run. Plenty of choices. Everything tasted good. Nothing fancy or gourmet. Make sure you try some sauerkraut. The place appears to have some sort of attachment to the Hofbrau brewery. Prices moderate--should be able to get a nice lunch for two for 30-35 Euro.

Très bon accueil, ambiance un peu winstub, cadre chaleureux. Cuisine traditionnelle (voir photos) bien assaisonnée, parfait pour un repas simple, le service serait un peu plus rapide et se serait parfait. Nous pouvons recommander le goulasch. Nous avons apprécié le moment passé dans ce restaurant. Bonne découverte.
