Super friendly and quick service, very tasty food with tender meat. Due to the prices of under €10 on the weekly lunch menu, there was a lot of activity. Everything fine!

Super tasty cheese spaetzle, my husband raves about the pork knuckle (very tender with a great crust) and I love the Kaiserschmarn. Very nice and attentive staff, we often have the same waiter. Special requests have never been a problem.

Typical German tavern with a variety of dishes, highlighting the knuckle. Closes late, for those with Spanish customs.

Classic Hofbrau. The beer was excellent the food was slightly better than street food. Normal prices. If you want to have a beer and grab sth to eat you can go. Don't expect much from the food though.

Extremely poor food and service. Did not give us lunch menu until our food came after we order, and found out there were so much more better and cheaper options. Ended up ordering a sausage platter, and found out they give four Lidl-taste and Lidl-quality chicken sausages, and an Ikea hotdog sausage. Absolutely Disastrous! Would never return. Even thinking maybe they are racist so did not serve us appropriately, and thats the least thing I want to think about. Staff were also very slow and quite rude in responding to us politely telling them we did not receive the lunch menu.

Totally cozy place and delicious food

Reserved a table for 1 and the staff were very kind and put me in a more quiet area. Beir was strong and the cordon blur schnitzel was very good.

We were very happy to be able to enjoy delicious Bavarian dishes so far north. From the Obazda to the sausage salad and the goulash soup to the Leberkäs, everything was really very tasty and nicely prepared. The junior also enjoyed his schnitzel with fried potatoes. The ambience is typical of a brewery...we felt comfortable and the service also impressed us. The only downside is that I find the 0.5 liter beer for 6.20 euros to be sporty. It still tasted 😉

If you're in the mood for Bavarian food and beer in Hamburg, you can definitely go there.

One of the waiters has attitude problem. Unfriendly atmosphere and mediocre beer.

The food was already very selected at 1:15 p.m. even though the buffet was valid until 3 p.m. There was hardly any dessert left and when I asked, I was told that we hadn't expected so many guests. An embarrassing statement. The music system including the disc jockey was terrible. The whole event was not worth the €30.00. We were 14 people, we won't be coming back!

Good atmosphere, good service good value for money

Were there for the second time and won't be the last time either. Just like the first time, great service. We were lucky enough to get almost the same table as 3 months ago and had the same conditions. She was also very friendly.

Staff very friendly. Food was ok. The fact that during Oktoberfest some types of beer are only served in 1 liter measures (6 p.m. to 10 p.m.) is not right. Music very loud, conversation not possible. I don't need it.

Went there with our company. Our boss invited and left a lot of money there. Unfortunately we were greeted by a very arrogant and listless employee who took us to the booked table (not guided us). Later, when we were on the dance floor, our boss accidentally bumped into this waiter while dancing. He then immediately ran to the security service, who then tried to open a barrel in a very unprofessional manner. That's not how you celebrate at the Hofbräuhaus. Things were much better and more relaxed at Speersort last year.

The beers and food was good. However, service here tends to be slow, and some of the waitresses could have attitude problems. Food was generally served quite fast and also the beers, too. Both the food and beer portions are huge as well. If you are looking for good German Food and beer. You could consider this place.

Alcohol is consumed here in the presence of minors, unbelievable that this is still possible in 2024. No chance for these druggies. 1/5 stars, I'll never go there again.

Traditional Bavarian cuisine and Oktoberfest flair 🍻

Very cool service and the ambience and food were really great! Just a little info for improvements: For the Austrians among us, however, the original Viennese veal schnitzel was a little too lightly seasoned. Could be a little stronger in taste. Everything else is really great. Gladly again next year.

Met up with some friends one night. Wound having a group of almost 15 to 20 of us. First experience of original German meal and dark lager. Everything about this place was great. Food, drink and the service here. Great times and great memories were made.

Hofbräu was worth a visit again

The service team is very helpful and friendly. The food is classics. Unfortunately it was really unpleasantly loud, with groups of drunks shouting and singing at once. You have to like it, unfortunately it wasn't my case.

Food was delicious! We were a big group and some of the orders arrived very late, but still service was not bad. The atmosphere is nice and enjoyable!

Super mediocre. It should be mentioned that this inn actually has nothing to do with the Munich Hofbräuhaus. The potato salad comes out of the bucket and doesn't taste good.

We went there with an extremely large group of 25 people. They took our orders, served us all quickly and even took payment individually without any issue. They gave us the experience we wanted with quality German food to boot. (The kartofelsalat was particularly good) It's slightly higher prices than you might expect, but in all honesty it's well worth paying for the exemplary service.

This is a great opportunity for those who want to experience the atmosphere of Munich in Hamburg. Everything is exactly the same as in Munich. Live broadcast of football matches is also an advantage. However, there is a problem: when it is very busy, especially on weekends, the service is delayed.

I can only say incredible!! I wanted to eat something typical and what better than knuckle!! It was incredible, the place is very large and the service is very good and fast. We didn't have a reservation and there was no problem and there was also live music. Seriously, if you go, eat knuckle has nothing to do with those from Spain, they are too good.

I recently visited the Hofbräu in Hamburg and was overall satisfied. The food was good and authentic, especially the cordon bleu and the rust beef, and the service was very good. Unfortunately, the music was far too loud and distracting (unfortunately we were there on an evening when there was live music), so it was difficult to have a conversation. If the volume is adjusted, it would be a perfect place for a cozy meal. Or if you could create a corner where you wouldn't be bothered by the music.

Exceptional service at Hofbräu Hamburg! We were a group of 34 people, and Rajka did an absolutely amazing job. She was incredibly kind and adapted perfectly to all our needs. Always with a smile, she ensured that every one of us had a great time, despite the size of our group. Thanks to her professionalism and excellent service, our evening was a true success. If you're visiting Hofbräu, be sure to ask for Rajka – she makes the expérience unforgettable!

This is our second time visiting this establishment and we are delighted with the pleasant atmosphere, lovely employees and, of course, words cannot describe the quality of the food. It's very tasty! The portions are large! The knuckle is simply delicious! I recommend❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥

Wir haben hier spontan gegessen. Die Lage ist ganz schön an einem kleinen Park gelegen und wir haben im Biergarten gesessen. Der Kellner war bemüht, aufgrund der vielen Gäste aber gestresst und teilweise zu Gästen etwas patzig. Das Bier wurde schnell geliefert und auch das Essen kam trotz der vollen Tische schnell. Von der Qualität waren wir leider enttäuscht. Käsespätzle, Schnitzel und Cordon Bleu schmecken leider fad und waren „nur“ convenience food. Dafür war der Preis zu hoch. Hier muss man leider sagen: Einmal hier essen reicht.

While the atmosphere is "traditional", and the service is good, the food is of very poor quality and extremely overpriced. Only recommended for a quick beer if your really want to get a taste of Bavarian atmosphere, though even that feels tourist-y. Edit: The owner/company threatened me with Legal action if I did not provide proof that I visited this place 5y ago. Incredibly immoral.

Great ambience, great service. I wasn't really impressed with the food. The bread dumplings were very dry and roast pork without a crust (... that's not usual...) Unfortunately I have to say: if you do everything in Bavarian style, then please also roast pork WITH a crust... and coleslaw ;) But I would Still, of course, I would like to come back.

A brewery in the middle of Hamburg. You wouldn't guess. Dirndl, Bavarian music, atmosphere. Nothing for a quiet evening.

This is a great place for a beer and meat feast. It's even good with your family, as they have a children's menu (which I didn't see much of in Hamburg) and play area. The place is so vast I think the staff put you in an appropriate area for your ground. We had the Pork Knuckle which was ample for 2 adults and a child. The apple Strudel Pudding looked apitising but we were too full

A very atmospheric place with delicious beer, I was here on my birthday with family and friends, I liked everything, I learned about the establishment when I was in Munich, it did not disappoint here, I recommend it

Locale tipico tedesco che offre cibi tradizionali ma ha anche delle proposte vegetariane e vegane. Ho preso una specie di polpettone vegano con insalata bavarese di patate, che purtroppo era fredda e non aveva un buon sapore assieme al polpettone... il piatto non mi è piaciuto. Sicuramente sono da provare i loro piatti tradizionali e non quelli rivisitati.

Min vurdering er på baggrund af flere faktorer. Maden var perfekt - vi fik klassisks schnizel med kartoffelsalat og haxen med pommes. Begge dele var perfekte. Service var der desværre intet af. Vi henvendte os til medarbejderen i baren og svaret vi fik var øh, nå, ok. Efter lidt tid kom en anden medarbejder som sagde vi kunne sætte os hvor vi ville (hvorfor så bestille bord?) Ved bordet gik der 15 min før en tjener kom og tog imod drikkevare bestilling, derefter 20 min. Før der kom en og tog imod vores madbestilling… Det skal siges at der var mindst 6 medarbejder som hang i baren… trist. Dejligt sted, men service og kundepleje skal i arbejde med.

A great food experience for locals and tourists who want to enjoy authentic German food. The food was yummy, the restaurant was fun and the staff was friendly. Dinner and dessert were awesome! My wife and I will definitely return.

An unfriendly place for foreigners. The server placed the food on the table and said, “You can eat your own food,” which surprised me and the German at the table next to me. I'm surprised that places like this still exist in Germany. Unfreundlich zu Ausländern, Serviererin bringt das Essen, stellt es nicht vor die Person, die es bestellt hat, und tut so, als ob "Nehmt euch es selbst“.

The food was on point. 4 different people ordered 4 different meals and we shared the food to see what it all tasted like. Every single bit was amazing.

07/2023 So, today after 3 years I would like to give an update: Positive and negative reviews should help the person being reviewed learn and ideally improve. However, legal attempts are being made to have the review deleted, as a business relationship is doubted if proof cannot be provided. 08/2020 Well, we used to be here more often, but thanks to Corona there have now been some changes that are acceptable. But what is absolutely unacceptable is the poor service and the declining quality of the food. We were also very surprised that every single guest's order was taken and everything was ultimately delivered on a large plate or platter. Cheese spaetzle mixed with potato gratin is not for everyone. So we decided not to visit this restaurant anymore.

If you couldn't give a star, it would still be too much. My family and I stood in the entrance area for over a quarter of an hour waiting for a table to be assigned. There were only two service staff working in the premises (which are really spacious). However, there were still a lot of tables unoccupied. However, the two service staff walked past without paying any attention to us. By the way, it was very loud and had a typical train station atmosphere. We then decided on another restaurant and left. At this point there were other people in the entrance area who then left the restaurant.

Good food and service. Big portion. There is a corner for kids to play. Nice atmosphere.
