Restaurant Graf Zeppelin in Hamburg

I was there as a guest at an event, so no comment on the food and drinks. Attractive location, friendly and quick service. Toilets clean but not barrier-free (in the basement). Parking spaces available. The place is recommended.

On January 18, 2025, I attended an 80th birthday party. Everything was perfect: service, very attentive staff, beautiful ambiance, and excellent food! Highly recommended for any type of celebration or gathering!

Eleven months ago, we reserved a table for a cozy family dinner on Christmas Day. A few days beforehand, we received a friendly reminder email. We (eight people) arrived promptly at 6 p.m. and were greeted warmly by the staff. To start, we ordered mulled wine, which didn't take long to arrive and was delicious. When the waitress delivered the mulled wine, she asked us what we wanted. When we mentioned that we would like to relax and enjoy our Christmas dinner, she replied that the kitchen was so busy that we shouldn't worry about it. We then placed our orders. What happened next was unbelievable. The welcome from the kitchen (cream cheese with small rolls) arrived almost simultaneously with the starter soup, and then the main course was delivered in a flash. We still hadn't been able to finish our mulled wine because the food was already in front of us. To cut a long story short, we entered the restaurant at 6 p.m. and were served by 7 p.m. Our complaint was dismissed with the comment that the kitchen normally closes at 7 p.m. This was not communicated to us either when we made our reservation or in the reminder email. There's no mention of this on the website either. The food was of good quality, but I believe the restaurant and its owners, who present themselves as a family business, have lost sight of their guests. In any case, our cozy family Christmas dinner was completely ruined, and what we experienced was an absolute disgrace.

We had a separate room for a family celebration. Very friendly staff. Good food in a pleasant atmosphere.

We celebrated our wedding there. The food was great, but the buffet was dismantled too quickly. The service was just bad. Neither we nor our guests were served properly. This ended up saving us a lot of money, but it was just a shame. We would have expected more.

Unbelievable, I don't understand the other reviews. Are here at a wedding party, the service is underground! And when you ask, you get a snippy answer. The buffet was dismantled in a hurry and far too early. Some have commented that the potato wedges have run out and there have been no replenishments. When I asked the waitress if the drink service is not included, she snippyly said "only the wine service is included, if you want anything else you have to order it". In 4 hours they came with wine 2 times and in between was for almost Nobody here for an hour!!! We celebrated our wedding here 27 years ago and it was still good here. We, our family and everyone else who was there will never come back and will not recommend this restaurant!

Great German cuisine that you wouldn't expect as a tourist here.

We were at this beautiful restaurant/hotel for a crime dinner with four people. The reception at the bar was very pleasant. We had a drink here since we got there a little earlier. Everything was already prepared in the dining room. We checked in and were politely shown to our table. The drink order was taken. The service was very attentive, friendly and helpful throughout the evening. A change to the main course wasn't a problem at all. In the 3-course menu, a simple, but very tasty and still hot tomato soup was served. The main course was perfectly cooked chicken breast in a delicious cream sauce and well-made duchess potatoes. The pork schnitzel served as an alternative was also well received. Dessert was classic North German with red fruit jelly and vanilla ice cream. There could have been a little more here. Overall, we had a great evening and went home happy.

The restaurant was very cozy and the service was friendly. The food was very good and, on the one hand, had a really good price/performance ratio. For this reason we will be celebrating an 80th birthday there in January with around 30 guests.

I just celebrated my birthday with 40 people. Everything went very professionally, super friendly, very good food. All wishes were fulfilled. Highly recommended. During the preparation, I was particularly impressed by the diverse buffet selection. Keep it up.

I ordered the table by phone. The gentleman became abusive. Not a nice start. Were there with a larger group. Everyone enjoyed the food very much. The service staff was very friendly and competent. We would like to eat there again. However, without registering by telephone

Wir haben unsere Hochzeit hier gefeiert und sind häufiger in Restaurant zu Besuch. Leckeres Essen, freundliches Personal und ein schönes Ambiente.

Das Essen war sehr, sehr gut und mega lecker. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich, fast familiär genau wie das Ambiente in der Gaststube. Es hat mich sehr an den Gasthof in meinem Heimatort aus meiner Kindheit erinnert, den es leider nicht mehr gibt...... Es war ein wunderschöner Abend obwohl unsere Romreise 2 Stunden vorher abgesagt wurde.... Dankeschön an das tolle Team

Ganz tolles Essen das Hotelzimmer direkt daneben. Es war sehr schön. War auf Montage und das Frühstück war auch Top.

Das Ambiente und die Küche sind hier etwas gehobener, aber im Preis- Leistungsverhältnis einfach top. Ich habe erst dreimal hier gegessen aber war jedesmal begeistert, die Bedienung ist sehr freundlich und aufmerksam, die Speisen sind perfekt zubereitet und gewürzt und liebevoll angerichtet, auch das Zeppelin Bier ist wirklich lecker. Gastraum und Toiletten sind sauber und gemütlich, allgemein lädt die Atmosphäre zum verweilen ein. Ein tolles Restaurant das ich nur weiterempfehlen kann, bei meinem nächsten Hamburg Aufenthalt komme ich gerne wieder.

Sehr sehr schön kein ultra schicki Micky Hotel sondern es fühlt sich sehr heimatlich an und das Restaurant/bar sehr sehr gut ohne Witz Leute vorallem der Kellner Derbal wunderbarer service nur zu empfehlen!!!!! Essen sehr Traditionell heimatlich Leute geht hierher !!!!!!!!!!!!! Hab mein Aufenthalt 2 Mal verlängert !!!! Auch der Oberst Kellner alle hier super mach keine Werbung ohne das es sich nicht lohnt arbeite selbst seit 15 Jahren im Service! Klasse Jungs weiter so

Geburtstagsessen. Es war noch Pfifferlingswoche. Das Rumpsteak mit Pfifferlingen und Bratkartoffeln war fanatisch! Da versteht jemand sein Handwerk!

Ich war zum ersten Mal in diesem Restaurant und muss sagen, dass es sehr gemütlich war und das Personal sich sehr viel Mühe gemacht hat und sehr freundlich war. 😉👍🏼 Ich werde auf jeden Fall wieder kommen. Vielen Dank für die schöne Zeit bei Ihnen. 🤗 💐🥰

Wir waren heute anlässlich einer Beerdigung hier. Schönes Ambiente, gutes Essen, Bratkartoffeln sind eine Kunst für sich, nette unaufdringliche Bedienung. Saubere Restrooms

Das Roastbeef und die Bratkartoffeln waren sehr gut, die Steaks leider ein bisschen zu durch. Insgesamt gute Hausmannsküche.

Es war sehr gut besucht, deswegen mussten wir 45 Minuten auf unser Essen warten. Der Kellner war aber sehr aufmerksam und hat uns wegen der Wartezeit auf ein Getränk eingeladen. Das Essen war hervorragend und Wünsche wurden berücksichtigt. Als kleine Anregung: bitte die Corona Nachweise besser kontrollieren. Wir waren am Sonntag da wo "keine Kontrollen kommen", aber darauf sollte trotzdem beim Eingang geachtet werden, zumal dort viele ältere Menschen essen gehen. Gerne wieder!

Gut bürgerliche Küche. Wir hatten Grünkohl mit Pinkel und Wiener Schnitzel, beide Gerichte sehr gut und lecker. Sehr gutes Preis Leistungsverhältnis, danke.

Kann man nur empfehlen. Hatten dort unsere Kaffeetafel nach einer Trauerfeier. Sehr schön gedeckte Tische, Bedienung super freundlich und aufmerksam. Preise angemessen. Für jede Gelegenheit kann man dieses Restaurant buchen.

Ein großes Lob an das Personal. Der Service war, wie wohl nicht anders zu erwarten, absolut perfekt. Das Ambiente war äußerst gepflegt und strahlte Harmonie aus. Das Essen war hervorragend. Trotz corona konnten wir mit 10 Personen eine schöne Feier ausrichten. Danke nochmal an Herr Veblasco. Wir waren sehr zufrieden und können es nur weiterempfehlen👍

Unser Aufenthalt war absolut positiv. Das Essen war sehr lecker und das Personal super nett. Parkplätze waren neben und hinter dem Haus vorhanden.
