Good German cuisine, prices ok, service friendly

Food was okay but everything else was great! We were there today with 20 people and everyone was satisfied. Service was very nice and helpful :) Special requests such as banana wheat were also taken into account despite the group size. We've experienced it differently.

Violently violent class. The food tastes exceptionally good 👍, the service is great, the staff is extremely friendly and anyone who doesn't have too many demands on the facilities will feel really comfortable here. I can highly recommend this restaurant. Very good 👍 👍 👍 👍 👍

Fries weren't crispy, very little salad, a bad experience 👎

Went here again yesterday with three colleagues after work. Service was friendly as always. Special requests (cheese spaetzle as a side dish instead of fries or normal spaetzle) were noted but consistently ignored. But otherwise the food was delicious. Big minus point: the side salad with my sliced ​​meat looked as if it had spent the whole day on the plate covered in dressing. There were also some fries in it (my side dish was spaetzle!), which is why I assume that the salad moved from another plate to mine after it had previously gone back to the kitchen. That is not how it works. The waitress saw it that way too, but otherwise made no attempt to compensate in any way for this bad experience. Complaint management can also be taken a step further.

Good location and food is good for this price...!!! And big plates!! With much love... There are crayons for the children to grind on the table...🤗😁

Actually a good, cozy restaurant that I enjoyed visiting. However, after having raw minced meat stuck under my burger bun as a pregnant person, I doubt the kitchen hygiene and no longer feel comfortable there.

The food was ok. But there was a really unpolite waitress serving us. At first we waited for them to come to us and give us a table. She saw us but waited about 10 minutes in the meanwhile she was talking to her freinds and laugh. Afterwards another waiter came and took our order. They brought the food pretty fast and the portions are big. At some point she started turning on candles She put candles on all the other tables except for us. I wonder why she treated some customers differently ! We will never go back there again.

Arrived shortly before the kitchen closed and still had a really delicious meal. The service asked again in the kitchen if it was possible. Thanks to the entire team. The schnitzel is super tender and already pounded thin. The braised beef was cooked extremely well, it falls apart in your mouth and the matching sauce goes with it (not a bag). I would also say the spaetzle is homemade, but if not, it is of great quality. The side salad is fresh with a delicious dressing. The schnitzel 18.20 and the braised meat 20.90 is a great price-performance ratio for this quality and portion size. We will be back definitely.

Cozy place to dine at! Despite the fact that the main dishes & sides are on the heavy side they are enjoyable & are presented decently. The service was outstanding, attentive & friendly. Well worth a visit!

The tablecloths can be painted, the staff is always friendly and choosing dishes is always difficult. From classic dishes such as cheese spaetzle to tarte flambée to burgers with or without meat. Everyone will find something here.

My experience at Hatari was absolutely amazing. The customer service we received from everyone especially Naomi was top notch. She was quite attentive, guided us patiently (non German speakers ) through the menu, laughed at our poor jokes too. Food arrived reasonably quick 😊, was quite delicious and a good portion too. The chef offered icecream to the child and it was on the house. I can't say enough good things about Hatari, just recommend that you try it too as I will soon be visiting again.

freundliche Atmosphäre, hier kann man gemütlich sitzen

Das Hatari Ottensen erinnert mich mit seiner Speisekarte und der „guten Stube“ an süddeutsche Gemütlichkeit und Kulinarik. Das Essen ist hier sehr lecker. Ich kann die Maultaschen sehr empfehlen. Man sollte vorher reservieren, da das Hatari kein Geheimtipp mehr ist und auch andere dieses Ambiente zu schätzen wissen. Daher auch mein Punkt Abzug. Es kann sehr voll und laut werden.

Sehr gute Küche zum gehobenen Preis. Freundlicher Service, nettes Ambiente. Das Schnitzel, die Pfälzer Fleischplatte, die Burger und die Flammkuchen sind empfehlenswert.

Top Laden, nur leider werden die Portionen wie in vielen Restaurants (verständlicherweise) momentan etwas kleiner…bisschen schade aber was soll’s. Gibt immer einen Kurzen zur Rechnung, sehr sympathisch!

Es sequent sehr lange bis man bedient wird. Die Kellner haben das Essen gebracht und kamen kein einziges Mal wieder und haben sich erkundigt. Wir wollten mehrfach Getränke nachbestellen, aber es kam keiner. Ich musste zwei mal selbst aufstehen und zur Theke gehen. Das Essen war gut. Der Serbe nur eben nicht.

Lecker Essen, bei interessantem Ambiente

Wir haben spontan Sonntag Mittag gegessen und ich war sehr zufrieden hatte mich für die selbstgemachten Käsespätzle mit Salat entschieden, ich fand es sehr lecker 😋 und kann es weiterempfehlen.

Gezellig terras langs straat met niet teveel verkeer. Lekkere Flammkuchen, ook vega eten mogelijk. Bediening bood bij vertrek nog een drankje van de zaak aan.

Close to our Airbnb in Hamburg is Hatari. Young and old are booking tables and this variety of ages makes Hatari’s vibrant character. Our Grauburgunder is perfectly chilled and served with a smile.

Ich war schon 2x zum Essen dort und war begeistert. Ein junges und freundliches Personal das sehr zuvorkommend bedient hat. Die Speisen und Getränke kamen schnell auf den Tisch. Beim nächsten Aufenthalt in Hamburg gehe ich gerne noch einmal hin.

Viel zu langsam, haben 1h auf unser Essen gewartet. Dann hat es auch nicht geschmeckt (sowohl der Hatari Burger als auch das Lebanon Gericht). Nie wieder.

Will man gar nicht weiterempfehlen. Weil man alles für sich haben will. Perfekte Mahlzeiten und perfektes Team. Preis Leistungsverhältnis ebenfalls perfekt

Any other year I attend an important exhibition in Hamburg in March. This via the best place for burgers I found anywhere, not only in Hamburg. Run by very young people, service is great, quality and choice of burgers at best. Deeply recommended!

Spécialités allemandes roboratives. Il vaut mieux rentrer dans ce restaurant en ayant faim. L'établissement très fréquenté est bruyant. En fait, j'ai envie de dire "vivant". Le service est rapide et le personnel très agréable. Un incontournable pour se remplir la panse avant de sortir en soirée.

Massive portions, plenty of fries on each dish. We both chose to try schnitzel for the first time which was great! The gravy was a great addition to the meal and there were about 5 sauces on the table to choose from. We saw others with pizza and burgers and they looked great too. Cheaply priced lunch out for a trendy place in Hamburg - €30 for 2 meals, 1 beer and a soft drink. Decor is a little run down, but the staff were friendly and provided English menus to us and also spoke very good English. Would return in the future to try their other dishes!

Als Süddeutsche in Hamburg waren meine Erwartungen nicht so hoch, da ich schon zu oft enttäuscht wurde. Im Hatari war dies leider auch der Fall. Die Karte bot wenig süddeutsches Essen. Spätzle, Schnitzel und Flammkuchen sollen wohl den süddeutschen Flair geben, finde ich ein bisschen zu wenig. Bei den Getränken konnte man ein paar süddeutsche Weine finden. Im Fokus stehen Burger. Der Flammkuchen war ok, aber nicht wirklich gut oder gar authentisch, dazu war er relativ kalt. Der Burger war groß und einer großen Portion Pommes. War ok. Der Burger war zu trocken, konnte aber durch die vielen bereitgestellten Soßen aufgepeppt waren. Der Laden war sehr voll. Viele Eltern mit Kindern. Der Service war sehr nett, wenn auch nicht wirklich aufmerksam. Zum Essen muss ich dort nicht nochmals hingehen.

Wie waren dort zu viert zum Abendessen. Der Service war angenehm und frisch, die Getränke schnell da. Im Restaurant ist Kneipenatmosphäre, die Speisen sind entsprechend einfach. Wir haben knapp eine Stunde auf drei Burger und einen Flammkuchen gewartet. Der Flammkuchen war kalt, ein Burger falsch und ganz einfache Qualität. Für Pommes-Frites-Esser, die sich billig den Bauch vollschlagen und dafür mehr Bier trinken wollen, ist es wohl ok - ich hatte mehr erwartet.

I have always said that for successful neighborhood restaurant - all they need is 1-2 dishes on the menu that people crave. I have been to Hatari.....so many times! It is around the corner from our place and is literally an extension of our kitchen. Easy going, unpretentious, always good food, neighborhood people chatting to each other.. It tastes each time exactly how you expect it and when I want my schnitzel - I want my Hatari schnitzel and nothing else will do! I pray that the owners will read this review and fall to my plead: PLEASE get Heinz ketchup (laughing at myself but damn I am almost ready to carry my own bottle!) and change hamburger buns. Really, the hamburgers are awesome but this ready standard McD style buns are killing it! (not in a good way). Other than that - I could live there...
