Nice restaurant, good food and very nice staff who remain relaxed despite the hustle and bustle, very pleasant

Always delicious, very friendly and extremely cozy...one of my favorite restaurants for decades

We were there as a group, really great! And DELICIOUS!

Table reservations and also the food are important for seasonal food, it works, and the side dishes are flexible. Friendly service. Unfortunately, last time the guests got the time wrong and the table was therefore not available for the scheduled time. Despite the accommodating nature of the restaurant, the food was not as edible as if more time had been available. That's on me. Towards the end time was running out. The next guests were already waiting. To everyone it seemed like a sacking. When asked if we were dissatisfied, yes. I'm not an expert, but a little calmness would certainly have brought a tip. But nothing against the food. And compared to other restaurants, what they offer is a real bargain. I'm sure my next application will be better. Today does not reflect the true picture

Like every year we went to eat goose. This time the food wasn't good. The goose was tough, gray skin, not crispy. We were not satisfied. It tasted like it had been reheated several times

Wir hatten eine super köstliche Martinsgans mit schmackhaften Beilagen (Rotkohl, Bohnen, Kroketten und herrlicher Soße — wer Rosenkohl möchte, sollte diesen vorab bei der Reservierung bestellen). Unser erwachsener Sohn, der keinen Rotkohl mag, hat ihn probiert und war begeistert. Es war eine Freund dieses Speisen essen zu können. Gruß an die Küche. Faszinierend war der Service. Mit welcher Freundlichkeit und Ruhe die Mitarbeitenden diesen „Ansturm“ bewältigt haben. Tolles Team. Wir freuen uns schon auf das Gänse-Essen im nächste Jahr. Ein Tipp: schon im August reservieren, sonst wird es schwierig. Wobei das ja eigentlich für Corell spricht.

Very cozy facility with very clean sanitary facilities. There was a lot going on on Sunday, so the background noise was barely manageable.

Die Martinsgans war sehr trocken, Rotkohl und Kloß waren okay. Wir saßen am Tisch zu den Toiletten, wo es gezogen hat. Daher hat meine Freundin ständig die Tür zugemacht. Der Besitzer meinte dann irgendwann, das gar kein Fenster auf sei und sie auch gerne schauen könnte. Einfach frech und unverschämt so mit seinen Gästen umzugehen!

Our outside staff was very friendly and accommodating.

The Waldcafé thinks it can make more sales if you kick the guests out after a maximum of 2 hours. Anyone who feels well treated as a guest should support the restaurateur, who puts sales before guest satisfaction. I won't do this anymore.

Nice location, but it takes a long time to be served and the food arrives, it was very busy on Sunday. Unfortunately the hot chocolate doesn't taste good (thin, probably with water, not sweet enough) and 4.80 euros for that is a lot.

The good reviews are deceiving. First the croquettes were out! Pork tenderloin with Champion sauce and fries! The sauce didn't taste like anything, the fries weren't cooked through. It was really disgusting.

Great food, great service and the ambience with the wooden house and the furnishings everything fits together perfectly.

You are literally ignored here, even if you speak to a service person directly there is simply no response or perhaps a condescending look. Ordering and paying becomes a test of patience. This ignorance is just annoying. Sorry for disturbing us. Never again.

Unfortunately you can't give no stars at all. I was in the café today when a woman came in and quickly asked for a coke because she was diabetic and had low blood sugar. The waiter replied dryly: “Yes, then they are not allowed to be out and about.” What is wrong with this person? And someone like that works in a service company. Maybe the cafe should think about who they hire.

Unfortunately the most expensive, worst food I have ever eaten. I can only advise against it.

We were on the summer terrace on the holiday and waited a long time for the service to place our order. It seemed as if there were four service staff present, but unfortunately they had no interest in noticing us. Two women sat down next to us and also tried to get the service's attention for over 20 minutes. The waiters looked at them, but just kept walking without reacting. The ladies did it right and got up and left! If guests are deliberately ignored, you should ask yourself whether you are in the right place in the hospitality industry. We also had to wait over 20 minutes to pay, despite repeated requests. This experience was extremely unsatisfactory and I will not even purchase anything from the self-service outside in the future.

Entirely made of wood and therefore very comfortable! Nice atmosphere, friendly service, good food at fair prices, that's all you need for a relaxing evening! Thank you and see you next time!

The location is beautifully located, directly surrounded by nature. The ambience that the wooden building exudes is also quite pleasant! We were there when it was super crowded. The service suffered somewhat as a result. I also heard that a drink-only order was declined...probably because of the crowds, I assume. Nevertheless, we enjoyed our cake, ice cream and coffee or chai latte! The prices are still within reasonable limits.

We were here with friends and had dinner. The location in the Niendorf enclosure is great. You look at the forest and meadows. The food, the Waldcafe pan, was delicious, but unfortunately I didn't get it. My histamine intolerance occurs very rarely. Unfortunately that was the case here.

I am a taxi driver and was supposed to arrive on Sunday, September 22nd. pick up here. It was the (probably) last warm Sunday of the year and therefore all the restaurants in Hamburg were full. To say that the Waldcafé is “well attended” is a big understatement. Thankfully my passenger had my car number. That's how I was able to find her. An extra thank you to the waiter (slim, dark-haired). Top! The guests were very enthusiastic about the service and reported that the food was good and plentiful (they had the rest packed away). The cake slices are huge. I'm looking forward to my next visit. The taxi driver ;-)

Quaint restaurant in the middle of the forest. German food. We had deer medallions. Side dishes but only moderate: Rösti rather frozen, not freshly made and beans wrapped in unfried bacon, unfortunately not crispy.

The Waldcafe Corell is always fun. Regardless of whether you just want a snack with our own beer after a walk through the Niendorf enclosure, or you want to go out for dinner in the evening, you can do both here. For a spontaneous visit, use the snack bar in front of the café. Here you can only get the small classics such as fries, fish rolls, currywurst, etc. and you have to be prepared to wait a little as the queue can be very long, especially in good weather. Things look completely different in the restaurant itself. There is a good menu here and the service is very good. I would also like to emphasize that our children and our dog were always very welcome!

There are rolls from Lidl stone hard fries also from Lidl and it tastes like nothing

Got a very unfriendly feeling. From the people who worked there as waiters, as well as the older gentleman from the office or the manager of the restaurant. As a mother with a stroller, there was no toilet that you could enter with a stroller (like a disabled toilet). The changing table is in a small hallway that is so narrow that you can hardly open the door with a stroller. The older gentleman from the office complained about my stroller in the changing room! It bothered him. It's incomprehensible that they themselves don't notice that the changing table is in an unsuitable place. You don't get good quality for the price you pay. Very bad experience. Not recommended.

Seasonal dishes: Food was excellent: chanterelles, duck breast, hash browns. Lively ambience (garden), friendly service. The restaurant is always busy, so it is advisable to make a reservation.

How many children are included in the children's curry sausage?

Were there at the weekend, very well attended, the service was good but unfortunately overwhelmed with such a rush. More staff would be appropriate at the weekend. A family celebration was planned, but it was too restless for us.

We celebrated our child's starting school at the Waldcafe Corell and are completely satisfied! The atmosphere was cozy, the food was delicious and the portions were just right. We wanted to eat something good here today after our daughter started school because the comments were promising. The service was generally okay. The food came really quickly and made you think. In the children's spaghetti with tomato sauce (completely without cheese, canned quality), our older daughter immediately found a hair... ok, that can happen. My wife's open potato was lukewarm, covered with frozen vegetables, completely unimaginative in its preparation and serving. I ordered the game burger ..I'm really not picky, I eat everything and leave nothing on my plate. But I've never had anything so horrible on my plate. Burger meat was dry, slice of ham wasn't roasted enough and the taste was expired, old. Camembert was overripe and bitter. For 18 euros it was a disgrace I had to leave about half of it standing, it wouldn't go down. It's just a shame for the food, it's so difficult to prepare. 6 (including 2 children) people ate and drank for a total of 150 euros. It was really shocking. It's a shame... first and last time...

The food was delicious, but the kitchen had problems cooking the steak through. Without any hesitation it was taken back and remade. We are regularly out and about with our dog in the Niendorf enclosure and are now regular guests at Café Corell: cozy atmosphere, professional and super friendly service, very tasty traditional dishes (be sure to bring your hunger!) and constantly changing seasonal specialties. In addition to all the trendy shops with fancy food and hip people, Café Corell is a cozy retreat where you simply feel welcome and well protected. Absolute recommendation!

An absolute must!!!! Our breakfast (with friends) left nothing to be desired! The set table was a small work of art...you immediately felt welcome! Food & drinks whatever your heart desires...and were always refilled (at no extra charge) The entire atmosphere invites you to stay and linger! We would have loved to "adopt" the super nice service...incredibly quick, attentive and warm!!! Many thanks to the entire team...we'll keep coming back!!!

Wir waren mit mehreren Personen heute im Waldcafe Corell. Die bestellten Salate waren okay, der gebackene Camembert mit Preiselbeeren leider "tiefbraun" fritiert, die Preiselbeeren kamen als eher Marmelade daher, etwas lieblos mit ein wenig fritierter Petersilie und Taastbrot angerichtet. Etwas Garnitur Fehlanzeige! Die am Anfang weibliche Bedienung sehr nett und freundlich, brachte Getränke. Der für unseren Tisch wohl zuständige Kellner war missmutig und weniger freundlich. Der Weg zum Abkassieren war wohl zu weit, wir mussten selber zur "Kasse" gehen. Ein Danke, fürs Trinkgeld gab es nicht. Beide Damen Toiletten verstopft, ein freundlicher Hinweis an den " Chef" deswegen, wurde von diesem verbal unfreundlich und wenig Kundenorientiert zur Kenntnis genommen! Nicht das erste Mal, dass der Inhaber unfreundlich ist!

A wonderful ambience, pure nature all around, but unfortunately not perfect food either. We had roast beef and the veggie burger. The latter came juicy and fresh with frozen wedges on the plate and tasted okay. The roast beef was dry, as if it had been left out in the air for hours, taste-wise without a crust on top into which mustard or spices could have been incorporated. Any good supermarket with a fresh produce counter can do better. The fried potatoes were missing salt, the side salad consisted of coleslaw from the bucket and Danish hot dog cucumber salad! Doesn't fit!!! People: Something like this can be done much better with the least amount of effort, a little mixed salad prepared with a quick vinaigrette...that works. The other side salads you saw were all branded convenience foods thrown together. After criticism, we got the espresso on the house, great, but we hope that the criticism is also received. We'll give you a second chance. There's a lot more that can be done here if you take opportunities!

It was a very nice evening with you. We had made reservations for 6 people inside, but were able to get a table outside given the lovely weather. The food was very, very tasty, very courteous and attentive service, simply a successful evening. Thank you very much for this. Definitely highly recommended!!!

Coffee was undrinkable but everything else was OK and we would like to stop there again on the next bike tour.

Food was tasty but...how long does the food come after we ordered? The answer was .... 45 minutes So I already felt full of the gas of my stomach. There is also a different waitress here: 1. Waitress who took the order 2. Waitress who took the bill 3. Waitress who cleaned the table So... Is it normal? So so .... For me .. waitress is somebody who helped the customer right? So when we asked to the waitress who cleaned the table about our food, they will say ' ohhh I will ask my other colleague' Hmmm... Strange huh 😐💪🏾 The price was average... So basically they showed the restaurant atmosphere between the forest mix with the countryside feeling. It was quite an old restaurant, but seems like they still took care of everything inside. While we waited for the waitress and food, they will give some paper and colouring pens for kids. So the kids would not get bored.

Nice restaurant and good business! The restaurant looks really nice, you feel right at home. The staff is friendly, attentive and quick on the move, just running most of the time, so very ambitious. The drinks and food came in good time, it fills you up. You can still get something out of it in terms of taste, but the cruets are on the table. There is a beautiful entrance terrace with seating and a beer garden with a beautiful rural view. Thank you.
