We were warmly welcomed, but then forgotten relatively quickly. We sat in the back of the restaurant, where rarely anyone stopped by. The waiting time was about 1 hour until the food was in front of us. - the mayonnaise I ordered never arrived and when asked they said “I’m sorry, the store is completely full at the front” The pepper schnitzel was certainly not fresh. 1/2 knuckle was fine.

Unfortunately, it is noticeable that the food is not fresh and the portions are not appropriate for the price. It's also a shame that even though the menu has been shortened, a large number of the dishes and side dishes are still not available. Overall, the food didn't taste good, even though the restaurant is so atmospheric.

Very disappointing! We had an extremely unpleasant visit to this restaurant. The food arrived extremely late and no one informed us that some of the staff were unavailable due to illness. The quality of the food was very mediocre, almost at the level of a canteen. The taste left a lot to be desired - the sauce wasn't even warmed up properly. In addition, the size of the portions did not correspond to the high prices. The menu was greatly reduced, many dishes were not available. We ordered at least 5 different dishes in total (there were eight of us), and every single person in our group found the experience negative. I definitely cannot recommend this restaurant! Hands off!!!

Not recommended. After waiting over 1.5 hours for our food (which had been pre-ordered by phone), the food was a disaster. Tagliatelle with champions for €17. The portion corresponded to a children's portion with 2 champions and the taste was not enjoyable, no spices, tasted burnt... Totally overpriced for the quantity and quality. The conditions were totally incompetent and overwhelmed, the chef stood outside smoking while the guests waited for their food.

A great location with a nice atmosphere but with haphazard staff. Guests had their food taken away because they served it incorrectly. Price-performance ratio does not match.

Simply fantastic. We were there for the breakfast buffet on Friday. Great ambience, super friendly service, nothing was left to be desired at the buffet. We made a reservation and were told that it was only good from 7 p.m. and that a group would be there beforehand, which we think was good. We then went for an aperitif outside, friendly service, everything was good. At around 6:30 p.m. we were told we could come inside to eat (food had already been ordered). Very nice restaurant, but that's about it on the positive side. At around 8:15 p.m. the food arrived, the rather small slices of salmon were fried to death and very dry. Pork fillet 2 pieces dry, one piece inedible. We reported our complaint to the waitress on site, but there was absolutely no response. We find it worrying when you complain on site and there is no response, so now everything is done online.

Wir waren am Abend hier und hatten ein sehr leckeres Essen. Mein Man hatte das Rinderfliet und ich den Hahn im Korb. Beides war hervorragend. Das Hähnchen war knusprig und das Fleisch fiel selbst vom Knochen ab. Das Rinderfilet war super saftig. Aber das beste war wirklich der tolle Service. Soviel Herzlichkeit findet man selten. Es war einfach ein schöner Abend. Danke an das Team 😊

Under all criticism! After ordering, we had to wait 1 hour and 45 minutes for the food. We ordered Wienerschnitzler, which most of all resembled flat chicken nuggets. The fries were also not properly cooked. The place cannot be recommended!

Maden kom efter 1,5 timer og bar præg af at de måtte have haft alt for travlt. Andre kom og bestilte, fik deres mad og gik inden vi fik vores. Hvis vi havde fået at vide at det ville tage så lang tid at lave en schnitzel havde vi valgt noget andet, eller et andet sted. Føltes lidt som en turistfælde, for stedet var virkelig hyggeligt.

Delicious food in a beautiful location in a former wine cellar. There is a warm atmosphere and it is very cozy. The service is friendly and helpful. We had the onion soup and the schnitzel with mushroom cream sauce as a main course. Plus a bottle of the delicious house wine!

The food was delicious. First we had a salad (with onions, not everyone likes it) and dates wrapped in bacon, as the main course the pork medallions and the rooster in the basket and afterwards the chocolate cake with a liquid center (which, however, was not liquid) and delicious wine from the Storck winery we were allowed to see as part of the underworld tour. Of course we missed the sign saying card payment is not possible. There is an ATM up the alley though, so it wasn't a problem. The service was very friendly and attentive. When the drinks were empty, we were asked if we had anything else we wanted. You actually don't see that very often anymore and I'm always happy about this detail. The rooms are very nice and quaint. We felt really comfortable!

Apparently they overextended themselves with a group that was too large, unfortunately everyone else had to leave. It's a shame but can't be changed

An absolute highlight for people who like local cuisine and a little more. Great staff 👍! Regional food and drinks. Please don't be surprised if the food isn't on the table after 20 minutes - it's still freshly prepared here! I've never eaten so well or so cheaply in my home town of Wiesbaden! €32 per person cannot be topped with the main course and drinks. Thanks to host Ingrid and the whole team.

We spontaneously looked for a table for 3 people and sat down based on the reviews. The waitresses were all SUPER friendly and very accommodating. Both the starters and the main courses were clear and very tasty. We'd love to come back! Greetings to the chef and the nice waitresses ☺️

On August 31, 24, I entered the outdoor area with my wife at around 6 p.m. Two tables free, no reservation signs, no indication that you will be seated. So took a seat. 10 seconds later a waitress appears: Quote: "You can't just sit down!" This has never happened to me anywhere! So we left because there was no reason for the rejection. Conclusion: Not recommended. Only bet if the princess graciously agrees to the service. What a shame actually!

The side salad for EUR 6.50 was really a disgrace, small, wilted, tasteless. Two points for cold beer and nice service. Unfortunately, food has zero points

My husband had rooster in the basket which was OK with a side salad €6.30 not justified for a salad bouquet. I ordered the large salad. This was not fresh and resembled a better side salad. There was also melon, instead of orange, as described on the menu. For €17.50, a joke even in a tourist hotspot. (I'm not a good eater, but I wasn't full in any way) Even though there wasn't much to do, we waited a long time. The service was friendly and the dogs were given water. Therefore two more stars. Not recommended

Unfortunately I can't say anything about the food. They said sit down somewhere, so we did. After being looked in our direction several times but no one came, we approached the waitress, who then very briskly asked to sit down. We then left with a “we don’t need to see each other again” and then a farewell. It's a shame, good tone is part of it. Unfortunately not here

We went to dinner! We ordered a schnitzel and a salad! The salad was amazing!! The schnitzel with potatoes could be a little or better! They weren't ugly but it wasn't anything super delicious! The schnitzel sauce is super delicious! The atmosphere is very nice and the service is very good!

Op leuke locatie gelegen restaurant. Smakelijke bruschetta en daarna Wiener schnitzel met Metaxa saus. Hoofdgerecht kwalitatief mager. Te vette stukken vlees en fantasieloos opgediend. Zalmfilet was goed qua smaak maar gerecht als geheel veel te vet. Jammer. Ergerlijk is ook dat je alleen contant kunt betalen. Wat dit betreft terug naar de middeleeuwen. Vriendelijke bediening. .

We saw the chicken as we walked by and decided to try it. I have to say it looked very appetizing... not ours! The potato chips were completely burnt (bitter) and the chicken was dry and smelled stale. The waitress didn't even ask us if we liked it! We were very disappointed and will not recommend this restaurant.

Rarely have we had such a great breakfast on Sunday. Top selection! The best rolls at the buffet! Very very nice staff. We were extremely satisfied and can only recommend it.

Endlich ist die Stütz wieder geöffnet. Und ein Besuch lohnt sich wirklich. Leckeres Essen, tolle Weine und Biere und sehr nettes Personal.

The restaurant is housed in an attractive, old building that exudes charm and offers a nice ambience. Unfortunately, we were unable to sit outside as initially planned, as we were asked to sit inside for some reason. Although later we could move out. The menu, though limited, offers a selection of good dishes. The schnitzel is particularly noteworthy—crispy and flavorful, and the Riesling sauce that accompanies it is simply amazing. The risotto is also commendable, creamy and well-prepared. However, the Gulasch soup was disappointing, tasting more like it came from a can than freshly made. Beer options are limited but of good quality. Despite a few shortcomings, the restaurant is worth a try for its pleasant atmosphere and standout dishes.

Catastrophe in 5 acts. We were so impressed with the cuisine in Traben-Trarbach yesterday that today we thought we would like to repeat this “hearty” evening again. Of course we didn't know that it would be a drama in 5 acts. Act 1: We had called ahead to inquire if it would be possible to come half an hour before our reservation. This was possible, but without ordering food early. So far too good. Act 2: We thought that appetizers like a cheese plate would somehow be possible. But this takes the longest. We then ordered two other starters (wait time: 45 minutes). 3rd act: our food was then served after 75 minutes - counting from the actual reservation time. MY meal, but the first bite stuck in my throat when, after 10 minutes, the remaining orders had still not been served, the waitress assured me: “This dish is not for you”. Act 4: After a really overdue complaint, excuses were made. “You can see what’s going on here” (several tables free) Act 5: The owner (?) loses all sovereignty when it comes to criticism and we rhetorically stopped the fireworks of the “shitstorm”. The terribly bad food was then delivered. (Canned beetroot, meat tough and dry, potatoes not cooked) Unfortunately, any potential is wasted here. I'm really sorry for the restaurant. Please visit other restaurants in the area where service and good food are valued.

I ordered half a chicken at this restaurant. Seemed good at first, but the next day I suffered from food poisoning.

I have no idea who can rate this store positively. Service is overwhelmed as soon as the store is even half full. If you then speak to them about it, the customer will be accused of misconduct. All of this would be somehow forgivable if the food wasn't absolutely below average; I can also eat beetroot from a jar at home. Gladly never again.

New operators have been active for a few weeks. The food was good as usual. The service was friendly. The ambience is good. The outside area is well maintained and makes a good impression. Even though my wife and I ordered and received small portions, we were charged the price of the regular portion. The prices are relatively high in comparison. Overall, our rating is good.

This evening we were in the “Historische Kellerschänke”. The first impression from the outside, how the menu was presented etc.” Were promising. We had already reserved a table for two people in the evening when we passed the restaurant in the afternoon. I should have been suspicious when I saw two schnitzels being taken out of the deep fryer. Nevertheless, we had reserved. We were warmly welcomed. my wife ordered a summer salad with goat cheese and I ordered a half rooster in a basket with homemade chips. My wife's salad was apparently very tasty. However, with half a rooster in the basket, everything that could go wrong went wrong. Half the cock was dry as a stick. He probably didn't like the long time spent in the deep fryer. The “chips” turned out to be quartered potatoes that apparently came from the deep fryer. The ratio of rooster to potatoes was 5:1. Five parts potatoes... This old wine cellar should be a nice setting for a good restaurant. Unfortunately, no beauty care has been carried out here for years. A little white paint on the vaulted ceiling certainly wouldn't have hurt. Unfortunately there wasn't enough for 10 buckets of paint and a bit of work during the spring break. I really don't like giving a rating like that. Unfortunately my verdict is: “inadequate (poor)”!!

Die neue Chefin hat erst am 27.03.2024 das Restaurant neu übernommen. Sehr nette Gastgeberin, ja natürlich ist noch nicht alles 100 % aber ich denke dass muss sich einfach noch einspielen. Das Essen war lecker, die Lokation sehr gemütlich wir würden zu jeder Zeit wieder dort einkehren. ☺

We were very satisfied and will definitely come back again. The tenant only opened on March 27th, 2024 and yes, one or two things still have to get used to things. Very nice boss, food was delicious and just give it a chance, it's just getting started.

We were here on the 2nd of Advent, it was a chance discovery after we visited the Buddha Museum. The food and the ambience really appealed to us, the side salad was too sweet for me and not worth a photo! But the pork medallions, great! The pasta with king prawns was super tasty, the king prawns were super fresh and tasty!4

vielen lieben DANK für den vorherigen telefonischen und Mail Kontakt. Die dazu führten das wir am Freitag mit 14 Personen ihren tollen Service,nette Persönlichkeit und das leckere Essen im tollen Ambiente genießen durften.

Klassisches Restaurant in historischem Kellergewölbe. Sehr freundliche Mitarbeiterinnen. Wir waren an einem Samstag am frühen Abend dort, nach einer Weinwanderung. Hat alles sehr gut geschmeckt.

Uriges Lokal in der Altstadt, welches sich in einem Kellergewölbe befindet. Die Bedienung ist sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das Essen war lecker. Wir hatten Hahn im Korb. Ein halbes Grillhähnchen, nachfrittiert, mit hausgemachten Kartoffelchips und einer Gewürzgurke. Eine gute und schmackhafte Portion.

Dieses Restaurant besticht nicht nur durch die ehrliche und wirklich gute Küche, auch der Service lässt keine Wünsche offen. Das Personal ist so freundlich, dass man sich direkt willkommen fühlt. Sogar mein Hund wurde freudig willkommen geheißen, was nicht selbstverständlich ist. Beste dem Essen ist garantiert nichts TK-Ware. Man schmeckt deutlich, dass alles ist mit Liebe zubereitet wird, daher ist es auch nicht schlimm, wenn es mit dem Essen etwas länger dauert. Die Zeit vergeht schnell mit dem leckeren Wein und der netten Unterhaltung. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist richtig gut. Vielen lieben Dank nochmals für 2 wunderschöne Abende bei euch.

Wir waren dort an einem Sonntag gegen 17 Uhr und haben uns rundum wohl gefühlt. Dort ist eine schöne Atmosphäre durch den Gewölbekeller. Die Bedienung war gut gelaunt und hat uns super durch die am Abend etwas abgespeckte Karte geführt. Das Essen war richtig klasse. Im Foto zu sehen die Kürbissuppe, der leckere Zander und der Schokoladenkuchen. Zusätzlich haben wir uns noch eine Flasche Wein und Wasser bestellt. Wenn wir wieder Urlaub in Traben-Trarbach machen, steht dieses Restaurant eindeutig auf unserer Liste für einen weiteren Besuch.

Super empfehlenswerte Lokalität. Wir waren ein Wochenende in Traben-Trarbach und waren direkt zweimal vor Ort. Leckeres Essen, charmante Lokalität und super nette Bedienung.

Helemaal leuk tentje. Het ziet er zowel binnen als buiten uit alsof je weer 100 jaar (of verder) terug in de tijd gaat. Je wordt hier niet verwelkomd als een koning in Frankrijk maar het blijft wel de Duitse manier. Niets mis mee. Het eten is echt helemaal prima. Smaakvol, lekker lokaal en goed op temperatuur. Het kan inderdaad even duren, als je in het weekend komt, maar dat is logisch met 1 werknemer op de vloer. Niet praktisch maar het geeft je in elk geval weer perspectief. Tegenwoordig willen we alles gisteren al geregeld hebben of op onze wenken bediend worden. Dat ga je hier niet krijgen. Kan je daar doorheen kijken en wil je gewoon goed eten? Dan is dit een prima zaak voor jou!

Gegessen haben wir leider nicht,aber was wir auf den anderen Tellern gesehen haben,sah sehr lecker aus. Dafür haben wir getrunken und dazu sehr leckere Chips gegessen. Ein sehr uriges,gemütliches Restaurant,was zum verweilen einlädt und wenn wir nicht mit den Rädern weiter gemusst hätten,wären wir noch viel länger geblieben. Zu dieser tollen Atmosphäre hat die charmante,witzige Bedienung Tina sehr beigetragen. Wir würden auf jedem Fall wieder kommen. Leider haben wir erfahren,dass die Lokalität zum Jahresende schließt und nach einem Nachfolger gesucht wird. Dafür drücken wir die Daumen,es wäre sehr Schade wenn es nicht weitergeht.

Ein wunderbares Restaurant mit einer reduzierten aber super Karte. Es ist eigentlich alles vorhanden was man sich wünscht. Das Essen war Mega und der Service war hervorragend. Wir kommen bestimmt wieder wenn wir in der Nähe sind. Vielen Dank.

Sehr schönes kleines Restaurant mit kleiner Karte aber dafür großen Geschmack

Kwamen daar om te eten, bij binnenkomst gevraagd of we met pin konden betalen of contant aangezien we geen contanten bij hadden. Alleen betalen met contant. De pinautomaat was aan de overkant +/- 500m lopen. Na het pinnen teruggegaan om te eten zegt ze doodleuk we hebben pauze en zijn over een paar uur weer geopend. Zeg dat dan meteen!!

Sehr kompetentes Personal, man merkt, dass die Dame ihre Arbeit liebt. Trotz ausgebuchtem Restaurant hat sie es geschafft uns einen Platz zum Essen bereitzustellen. Stets gut gelaunt und gut drauf. Das Essen war sehr gut. Karla und Richard Strauß

Sind Montags im Urlaubsort angekommen und abends verzweifelt auf Restaurantsuche gewesen, trotz personaler Notlage wurden wir mit eingeschoben. Die 4 Sterne vom Essen sind bloß vom etwas zu durch geratenen Rumpsteak (ich vermute zu lange nachgezogen)was aber angesichts der Personalnot nachvollziehbar ist.

Sehr leckeres Essen (Schnitzelin Rieslingsauce) , tolles und gemütliches Ambiente, ein sehr freundlicher Service. Unser Hund war auch Willkommen. Im nächsten Urlaub definitiv wieder!!!

Hier hebben we een hele lekkere schnitzel gegeten , het was heerlijk. Goede wijn, en vriendelijk personeel. Je kan bij mooi weer lekker buiten zitten. Binnen is het netjes en leuk ingericht. Toiletten zijn zeer goed bijgehouden.

Wir haben dort einen sehr schönen Abend verbracht,mit ausgezeichnetem Essen ,lecker Wein und einer sehr herzlichen Bewirtung!!! Wir können es nur empfehlen kommen auf jeden Fall noch mal wieder!!!

Sehr freundliche Chefin. Reservierte Zeit problemlos bekommen. Aber: Die Wartezeit zwischen Bestellung und Ausgabe des Essens Betrug geschlagene 58 Minuten. Geht's denn noch??? Zwischenzeitliche Kritik nach 45 Minuten wurden beantwortet, es seien "immer noch 2 Bons vor", ausserdem werde ja frisch zubereitet. Essen dann ok. Die angebotenen Schnäppse bzw. Espressi haben wir abgelehnt, beim Ausgang wurde uns noch ein schöner Abend gewünscht. Nach diesem Erlebnis konnte es ja nur noch besser werden...

Wir waren das erste Mal in diesem Restaurant essen. Die Auswahl an Gerichten war ausreichend und für jeden Geschmack etwas dabei. Da ich Fisch sehr gerne esse,habe ich Zanderfilet mit Salzkartoffeln und Rahmwirsing bestellt. Unsere Gruppe war mit dem ausgezeichneten Essen und dem sehr aufmerksamen und freundlichen Service sehr zufrieden. Wir werden auf jeden Fall wieder kommen.

Meget lang ventetid. Bestilte en salatbeilage med baguette. Salat uden baguette kom ca 3 kvarter inden hovedretten dukkede op og servitricen der havde arbejdet der i 3 år fik først, efter at jeg gjorde opmærksom på det, forståelse for at der hørte brød til salaten og at det stod i menukortet. Alt i alt måtte vi vente ca 5 kvarter og måtte bestille ekstra drikkevarer da de to bestilte fadøl var drukket da maden endelig kom. Min mand fik gullash og det var mørt og rigtig godt, jeg fik skinkeruller med ost og røget skinke indrullet, dertil romanie grønt og panerede kartoffelstykker og med flødesauce. Jeg syntes skinkerullerne burde have været mere møre.
