Die Speisekarte war ansprechend, der Hauptgang exquisit. Ausgezeichnetes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis, absolut empfehlenswert für alle, die in Traben-Trarbach essen gehen möchten. Eine Reservierung wird dringend empfohlen.

Ich liebe die deutsche Küche, wenn sie gut zubereitet ist. Ich bin überzeugt, dass dieses Restaurant dazu fähig ist. Warum ich (und meine Reisegruppe) jedoch nur wässrige Suppe, geschmacklosen Eintopf und abgepackte Kartoffelkroketten aus der Tiefkühltruhe bekamen, ist mir ein Rätsel. Das schlechteste Essen, das ich je in Deutschland gegessen habe… Wirklich schade. Nicht empfehlenswert!

Ich mag alte Gewölbe und dieses war wirklich sehr urig und vor allem kühl bei über 30 Grad..essen war sehr gut und die Speisen regional..

Man glaubt gar nicht, wie schick ein Gewölbekeller sein kann! Bedienung und Essen waren wirklich gut!

Nur Barzahlung, in 2026 ein Nogo. Der Beilagensalat war sehr klein und bestand nur aus grünem Salat. Unser Apfelstrudel war noch gefroren. Auf die Reklamation reagierte der Küchenchef ausfallend und stürmisch. Die Portionen waren alle nicht besonders groß. Abgesehen davon waren die Essen in Ordnung und der Service eigentlich Nett.

Touristen Nepp !!! Schnitzel sehr klein und mehr Panade als Fleisch. Preis/Leistung ,sehr schlecht. Lange Wartezeit obwohl wenig los war . Nicht zu empfehlen!

Es wird leider keine Kreditkarte akzeptiert - stattdessen werden Geschichten erzählt, um das zu rechtfertigen.... Poor!

Das Rehgulasch samt Rotkraut und Knödel waren unterirdisch. Komplett, fade und verkocht. Schade wenn man im Urlaub hier ein Mittag vergoldet.

Köstliches Essen in wunderschöner Umgebung

Wir waren mit einer Gruppe von 10 Personen dort, natürlich vorher reserviert. Tolles Essen, große Auswahl von Gerichten, dort findet jeder was. Sehr freundliches Personal, tolles Ambiente, sehr zu empfehlen.

Essen nicht wirklich lecker. Fleisch o.k. Beilagen wässrig u. ohne Geschmack. Rotkohl nicht essbar.

Wir waren am Samstag 29.11. hier essen. Die Gänsekeule war ziemlich klein und dass bisschen Fleisch war auch nicht gar. ( wir hatten mit 2 Personen die Gänsekeule ) Die Sauce sah und schmeckte auch nach Dosensuppe. Auch das Rotkohl schmeckte wie aufgetaut und warmgemacht. Dafür 31,90 € sorry , das war überhaupt nichts. Ich bewerte eigentlich ungern, aber so schlecht habe ich schon lange nicht mehr gegessen.

Wir waren heute im Restaurant essen und wurden leider enttäuscht. Auf der Karte standen „Riesengarnelen mit Bandnudeln“, serviert wurden jedoch lediglich Scampis – ohne eindeutigen Hinweis auf der Speisekarte. Wir haben das Gericht insgesamt viermal bestellt. Zwei Teller enthielten zunächst nur 4 Scampis, die anderen beiden 8 Scampis. Nachdem wir das angesprochen haben, wurden Scampis nachgebracht. Die Portionen sind insgesamt sehr klein, sodass wir das Restaurant trotz vollständiger Bestellung eher hungrig verlassen haben. Die Bedienung ist auf unsere Hinweise nur minimal eingegangen und zeigte kaum Bereitschaft, eine zufriedenstellende Lösung zu finden. Für uns steht fest: Wir werden dieses Restaurant nicht mehr besuchen.

Leckeres Essen und schönes Ambiente.

Trotz spätem erscheinen ohne Reservierung noch tolles Essen bekommen, Schnitzel lecker und ausreichend gute Saucen, Medaillons Portion sehr klein für zu viel Geld (3 kleine Stücke Fleisch) mit Sauce (etwas zu salzig). Super leckere Champignonsuppe im weckglas ausreichend groß ! Beilagen Salat ausreichend jedoch zu viel essiggeschmack im Dressing, nettes Ambiente. Super nette Bedienungen 👍

Hatte die Schweinehaxe! War sehr lecker. Räumlichkeiten sind sehr laut. Preise sind in Ordnung.

Der Service war gut, das Essen wohlschmeckend und die Portionen üppig zu fairen Preisen. Das Ambiente empfanden wir als durchaus ansprechend. Die Auswahl an Speisen und Getränken passt, wir haben insgesamt nichts zu bemängeln und können die historische Kellerschenke daher gerne weiterempfehlen!

Waren vor 10 Jahren im Urlaub schonmal hier zum Essen und es ist uns so in guter Erinnerung geblieben, daß wir heute wieder eingekehrt sind. Der Hahn im Korb ist eine Wucht. Die Kartoffelchips sind unbeschreiblich lecker. Die Bedienung war sehr nett und zuvorkommend. Kann man wirklich nur empfehlen

Comedy pur, wenn sich Bedingungen streiten wer studiert hat.. Einfach schlecht, wenn sich die Bedingungen untereinander anschreiben.

Service ne Katastrophe. Waren mit 4 Erwachsenen und 1 Kind dort. Das Essen fürs Kind kam schnell, für uns Erwachsene erst eine Stunde später. Habe die Bedienung angesprochen. Sie sagt es wäre normal. Ki der bekommen zu erst. Das andere Essen würde frisch zubereitet. Anstatt einer Erklärung oder Entschuldigung gab es nur freche Antworten und keinerlei Entgegenkommen. Einmal und nie wieder.

Es dauerte alles sehr lange, das Bringen der Speisekarte, die erste Bestellung und weitere Getränkebestellungen. Das Fleisch war hart an der Grenze zum trocken sein. Beim Bezahlen kam die Bedienung, die sehr freundlich war und sich dauernd entschuldigte, mit 4 Bons und wie mussten ihr sagen, was wir verzehrt haben.

Well, the blonde lady serving on the terrace wasn't exactly friendly. Kudos to the kitchen, the food was delicious. The short, dark-haired waitress was very nice.

We tried our luck on a Friday evening without a reservation. The friendly waitress went above and beyond, pulling apart a larger table to accommodate us. The food was sensational, perhaps even the best pepper sauce I've ever tasted. Decent portions, good service, very fair prices, and a rustic atmosphere. We were completely satisfied.

A very friendly welcome. Despite the crowds, we still managed to find a table for two. Delicious sauerkraut mash with succulent pork. Accompanied by a lovely Mosel wine. Wonderful. The atmosphere was excellent.

Terrible food and terrible service! Extremely overpriced for a lunch salad. Most salads in Germany are great but this one was not good. Small limited lunch menu- totally disappointing!

We were lured by the good reviews. Unfortunately, I can't confirm them. Either the waitress was having a bad day or she was in the wrong profession. The food was delicious and arrived quickly, but it will be a one-time visit. Too bad.

We showed up 30 minutes early for dinner at the opening of the restaurant. We enjoyed a drink and ordered shortly thereafter. Not long after our meal was served, we were asked to move to another table, which we declined. When I complained about the horrible treatment we had received in the middle of our meal, we were offerred a free drink. We declined and asked for the drink to be taken off the bill. However, the proprietor demanded and I paid the full bill at departure as she actually threatened to call the police. Believe it or not, there were still 2 open tables each seating 7 people next to us, that were never occupied prior to our departure.

A group of eight people spontaneously dropped in for dinner around 2:30 p.m. We received a very friendly welcome and service. The food was consistently impeccable and very tasty. We'd be happy to come back.

But today at lunch, September 3, 2025, oh dear!! What a lack of staff can do. A lunch menu that's a turn-off (first reaction: better just have a drink – like several other guests. Still, I tried the schnitzel: OK, the microwave was working properly...) and completely overwhelmed waiters. Long waits, chaos, which guests would get which menu or meal, etc. And by the way, in 50 years, I've never experienced an additional charge for a wine spritzer in a wine-growing region. Dear Storck family, we are concerned about the continued existence of your restaurant. The following review was valid for several years up to and including 2024 (full 5 stars): Ate outside at this restaurant twice in August 2022. Very tasty food, very friendly service with a sense of humor. We'd be happy to come back!

Excellent and extremely attentive service. Unfortunately, we were too early for the evening menu.

We were very satisfied and will definitely come back. The owner just opened on March 27, 2024, and yes, a few things still need to get used to. The owner is very nice, the food was delicious, and just give it a try; it's still in its early stages. We visited Traben Trarbach in July on a detour from Bernkastel-Kues, but unfortunately, we didn't check the website beforehand. It's closed, which is a shame. We really enjoyed ourselves there in 2024. Next time we're in the area, we'll try again. 😊

We had lunch there today, and it was absolutely delicious. The atmosphere is very cozy and quaint. We'll be back.

The meal took about 30 minutes, which I thought was a bit long for the small lunch menu and not-so-busy place. The service was very friendly and accommodating. They also constantly asked if everything was okay. The food itself was good, simple German cuisine. I was generally a bit disappointed with my salad, as there was nothing on it other than lettuce leaves, a few onions, tomatoes, and sun-dried tomatoes. For just under €19, that was far too low for my taste. The margin is probably around 98% just in terms of cost of goods. It felt like a typical tourist restaurant.

Positive: - Nice location, clean restroom. Neutral: - On a Friday evening during the summer holidays, 5 tables occupied, the rest empty. Negative: - No card payments (although signs indicate this). - Waited 1:15 hours for 2 Wiener Schnitzel and 1 fries, even though the restaurant was empty. - No compensation/apology. - Food was at best of takeaway quality -> terrible value for money. PS: Reading the arrogant responses from management in the other reviews here, you can only shake your head.

As the restaurant name suggests, you're greeted by a rustic cellar vault, exuding a historic coziness. The service is friendly, although our food was first served to the guests at the other end of the table before making its way to us. The schnitzel with fries and mushrooms was good, juicy, and lean, and the portion was more than sufficient.

On Saturday, we naively headed to Traben Trabach to have a delicious meal. No matter which restaurant we went to, the first question we were asked was, "Do you have a reservation?" No! Sorry, we don't have any room 😔. At the historic cellar tavern Storcke Stütz, we had to wait a moment, and then a very nice waitress came over and kindly explained to us that their restaurant was also very busy and that we could have a table, but that we would have to wait a very, very long time for the food. We seized the opportunity and sat down. The drinks came very quickly, and that was half the battle! The food arrived after about an hour, and everyone was absolutely thrilled with it, especially the sauces for the dishes, which were super delicious... Great! The service was also very nice. We were served so, so kindly and attentively 💯👏 Keep up the good work. You saved our evening. We were the last guests in the restaurant and were even invited by the staff to have a nightcap. It couldn't be better✨

We visited this restaurant for the first time with four people. Very cozy atmosphere, very friendly staff. All requests and changes to our order were accommodated. The food was very good and perfectly adequate. We would be happy to come back.

A truly lovely, traditional restaurant. Very well-kept. The service was very friendly. We were told everything was fresh and homemade, and it was. The food was simply perfect. The bacon-wrapped dates with fresh quark were a highlight. The rooster in the basket with homemade chips was a dream. The schnitzel was fresh and (damn) delicious. We'd gladly go back.

Five people visited in the evening with guests. Unfriendly welcome... overwhelmed service... Much of the menu was "out". Waited 1.5 hours for the food to arrive. Horrible... burnt mushrooms... soggy fries, Riesling sauce completely watery... frozen schnitzel... soggy salads... All five people were disappointed... no value for money... i.e. high prices yes... but no value for money at all... Far too expensive... chaos among the crew, waiting... waiting... waiting... Unbelievable! Never again!!!!!!

Very disappointing!!!!!! Service was very superficial, unfriendly, and unprofessional. The term "host" doesn't apply here. We were there with five people and were more than disappointed! The negative behavior of the waitress, the warm wine in the cold glass, the carelessly prepared food, and the strange excuses were truly unbearable. Given the high prices, we should have expected a minimum of friendliness and quality. Our holiday guests were disappointed, and we were even more so. I can't recommend this restaurant at all! The food was delicious, and they made something special for our son (1.5 years old) because he doesn't like chicken nuggets and apparently, they found the soup too spicy. He got noodles and vegetables, just like his mom. The staff were very friendly and thoughtful!

The ambiance is quite nice, but unfortunately, that's about it. All the food was made from convenience foods, and the service was poor. Unfriendly, rude to other customers, and at times quite incompetent. Unfortunately, card payments aren't accepted, and some dishes are charged at a 7% surcharge on the bill—not trustworthy. Overall, it's a mystery to me how this restaurant can get a rating above three stars. Not recommended!

Delicious food! :) A beautiful, authentic restaurant with tasty dishes and very friendly service. When the weather is nice, there is also a small outdoor terrace at the front of the restaurant.

A hiking stop on the multi-day Moselsteig Trail: I was treated to delicious tagliatelle pasta with prawns accompanied by Pinot Blanc from the winery. For dessert, I had a glass of Williams pear and an espresso. Excellent service from the owner was included. Thank you for the warm hospitality!

Definitely worth a visit. We received a very warm welcome from Daniela the first time, and we enjoyed some delicious pork cheeks. Because we enjoyed it so much, it tasted amazing, and Daniela looked after us so well, we went back a second time today and once again, we didn't regret it.

Leuk restaurant op een mooie locatie. Eten viel tegen, 1 maal schnitzel met pepersaus, die was goed maar patat was veel te zout. 4 maal varkensmedallion maar deze waren allemaal erg droog.

Authentic charm and tasteful simplicity. A very cozy wine cellar where the pure German cuisine comes into its own. No unnecessary frills, but just honest, delicious food. The atmosphere is warm and informal, and the service is exceptionally friendly. I dare say with conviction: the best schnitzel I have ever eaten! An absolute must for those who love authentic and tasteful enjoyment.

A restaurant in the middle of Traben-Trarbach in a historic cellar. The drinks were cold and served quickly. The meals were delicious and freshly prepared. The service was very friendly, attentive and very helpful. Special requests were also implemented at no additional cost. There are no dedicated parking spaces at the restaurant. It is recommended to reserve a table in advance.

Bad service! 75min waiting time for the food, after about 20min waiting time for the menu! The schnitzel was anything but fresh. The salad was ok, but way too expensive for what came. The ribbon noodles were swimming in fat. Fries were ok, the water too! Almost the worst thing was two incredibly unkempt waitresses (so unkempt that you didn't like having your food brought to you), who were completely confused and delivered a delivery to the wrong table every 2 minutes. No card payment possible and excuses have been found for trying to install WiFi for years and it doesn't work (or doesn't want to) and all in 2025 😉 ABSOLUTELY NO RECOMMENDATION

Unfortunately, extremely long waiting times. The food is mediocre at best, the pork schnitzel in particular leaves a lot to be desired in terms of quality and taste. Sauces are out of the package. Salad is recommended. Price performance unfortunately inadequate.

Chicken in the basket was delicious as before, small menu, high prices (side salad 6.50), service first points out COMPENSATION PAYMENT, since only 4 of the 5 reserved seats could come due to illness, flickering lamps at the table are ignored by the service.

After the Christmas cellar market, we had schnitzel there with 8 people. It was okay, good and the price was right too. I find all 0.5 drinks over 5 euros to be a bit exaggerated. The service was also good, you can go there again.

Very nice restaurant but everything else is a disaster! The service is very very slow. The cook is sick in the kitchen and coughs on the food. You can only get full here with the food that is prepared in the deep fryer. For all other dishes you pay a lot of money for bad food and a subsequent stop at the nearest kebab shop.

I had already chosen the restaurant from home and ordered a table by phone (very friendly). The service was extremely friendly, attentive and accommodating. The food was very good, we had schnitzel with fresh champions and Riesling sauce twice, schnitzel with pepper sauce once and a rump steak. Everything was super delicious, the portions were absolutely sufficient and the service was very attentive with a Swiss accent 😉🤩🤗 Price-performance ratio absolutely fine.

Attention - no card payment or PayPal possible! The restaurant itself is beautifully decorated and looks great. The food was really very good and came to the table quickly. The waitress does her job attentively and courteously. You should make a reservation here to be on the safe side.

Very sweet personnel. The food was very homely and comforting, the red cabbage I had tasted like Gluhwein. We had a delicious wine recommendation by the server, and everything arrived very quick. The building is an interesting cave like interior, which I think would be a better atmosphere on a busier season.

We were warmly welcomed, but then forgotten relatively quickly. We sat in the back of the restaurant, where rarely anyone stopped by. The waiting time was about 1 hour until the food was in front of us. - the mayonnaise I ordered never arrived and when asked they said “I’m sorry, the store is completely full at the front” The pepper schnitzel was certainly not fresh. 1/2 knuckle was fine.

Unfortunately, it is noticeable that the food is not fresh and the portions are not appropriate for the price. It's also a shame that even though the menu has been shortened, a large number of the dishes and side dishes are still not available. Overall, the food didn't taste good, even though the restaurant is so atmospheric.

Very disappointing! We had an extremely unpleasant visit to this restaurant. The food arrived extremely late and no one informed us that some of the staff were unavailable due to illness. The quality of the food was very mediocre, almost at the level of a canteen. The taste left a lot to be desired - the sauce wasn't even warmed up properly. In addition, the size of the portions did not correspond to the high prices. The menu was greatly reduced, many dishes were not available. We ordered at least 5 different dishes in total (there were eight of us), and every single person in our group found the experience negative. I definitely cannot recommend this restaurant! Hands off!!!

Not recommended. After waiting over 1.5 hours for our food (which had been pre-ordered by phone), the food was a disaster. Tagliatelle with champions for €17. The portion corresponded to a children's portion with 2 champions and the taste was not enjoyable, no spices, tasted burnt... Totally overpriced for the quantity and quality. The conditions were totally incompetent and overwhelmed, the chef stood outside smoking while the guests waited for their food.

A great location with a nice atmosphere but with haphazard staff. Guests had their food taken away because they served it incorrectly. Price-performance ratio does not match.
