Haus Tannenberg in Todtnau

We made a last minute reservation, they were very friendly. There was vegetarian options and vegan too. Food was so good. Quantity of the food was also worth the money. We had Pumpkin bruschetta, it was fantastic. Alcohol free cocktail was very good too. The ambience and autumn decoration was also very elegant and classic. There is parking in the front of hotel so its easily commutable. For sure will visit next time to try dessert.

Great local restaurant with local cuisine. Staff were very friendly and service was great. Recommend going there for dinner, but better to book in advance. I imagine it can get busy here

Greatly prepared fish and excellent service! I come from the North Sea coast and have enjoyed many fish dishes, but I have rarely experienced such perfectly prepared fish as here. The plate was not only a visual highlight, but also outstanding in terms of taste. Kudos to the kitchen team! I'm currently staying in the Heidi holiday apartment, which I can also highly recommend. It is very nicely decorated and super clean. The hosts are warm and accommodating. I'll definitely be back!

The food was good but the chef was very unprofessional. We came yesterday with a group of 20 people. There should have been more, but some canceled the evening before, which wasn't entirely correct of them. When we got there we sat down, ordered and started eating. A colleague who originally couldn't come told us that he would still make it. He drove 45 minutes to meet us. When the very friendly waitress asked him what he wanted to eat, he said he was open minded, he just didn't want Hokkaido pumpkin. A few minutes later the chef demanded the attention of the entire restaurant and complained in a very cheeky way about the organization. He refused to serve our colleague, who then drove the 45 minutes back out of pride on an empty stomach. I can understand the chef's reasons. Given his terrible mood, he was definitely having a shitty day. But the way he treated the customers was shocking! So little professionalism and being upset that a guest doesn't want to eat pumpkin... Only the waitress was friendly and professional.

The very tasty dinner at Haus Tannenberg became a 5* experience thanks to the friendly service, especially since there are not that many alternatives in Todtnau, which is why you should definitely make a reservation by phone in advance. The ambience is traditional, the food a bit more modern, starting with the mushroom spread as a greeting from the kitchen. The Hinterwälder roast beef was tender and plentiful, and the side salad and dressing were delicious. The slightly watery vegetables and the colorless spaetzle lagged behind in terms of taste, but this was compensated for by the delicious dessert and would not justify deducting any points from the overall experience. The same goes for the vegan Rösti burger, which in our opinion would have been better served with a second crispy Rösti than the spongy curry tofu slice... or fried tofu... in our opinion, a burger needs a lot of crunch! Therefore, overall a recommendation!

Very good food and great service

Very child-friendly atmosphere and delicious food. Strange food requests due to allergies and personal preferences were also addressed promptly and courteously. All in all, a super pleasant stay and we will definitely find our way back despite the long journey.

Der Kuchen und das Essen war super lecker und alles war mit so viel Liebe zubereitet und angerichtet. Die beiden machen ihren Job mit sehr viel Hingabe und Freude. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt, auch unsere Gäste waren total begeistert 🤩 Vielen Dank für diesen wunderschönen Tag bei euch. Wir kommen bald wieder, wenn wir in der Nähe sind 😘

Das Essen war extrem lecker und wir haben uns sehr über die veganen und vegetarischen Optionen gefreut, die wirklich besonders waren und wirklich gut geschmeckt haben! Auch der gemischte Vorspeisenteller war super und die Portionen groß. Das Gastgeberin war sehr nett und die Atmosphäre schön, wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt:) Große Empfehlung!

The meat was plentiful, my steak was excellent. The vegetables are more of a decoration than an independent flavor component. Unfortunately, the lamb that my wife ordered (“sous vide”) was edible but tough. The only comment from the waitress: “I’ll pass it on”… The owner's response to our feedback is a rude insinuation. Conclusion: Completely correct German food but nothing outstanding. We don't go there anymore.

Dear Marta and dear Christopher, it was a feast for us to dine with you. Small but very nice menu, nice service and really fantastic food. The portions were more than generous and very appetizing. If you want to go out for a good meal in Todtnau and the surrounding area, you can't go past you. You convinced us. Thank you for allowing us to be your guests!

2022: Very tasty food, portions are well sized, you can take leftovers home, but you should reserve a place, 2023: still good food, nice service, for 2024: this year a great burger and a daily special ( Ordered roast pork crust: both very, very tasty. We'll definitely be back: the food is consistently good, the owners are very nice, the staff is great.

Fantastic find. Both had the Schnitzel which was freshly made and can also highly recommend the Panne Cotta.

We stopped by spontaneously for lunch and were given a place on the terrace. The ham & cheese bread was great. Regional products and homemade bread. There was also nice service and little tips for the city.

Sensational!!! We ate at Tannenberg last holiday and it was so good that we were happy to come back this year...twice. Everything we ate was high quality and super tasty. Even the supposedly "easy" children's meals are so incredibly good. The owners are attentive, friendly and put their heart and soul into it. A really great restaurant!

We were in Todtnauberg for 4 days and ate there 3 times in the evening. It was fantastic... There's not much more to say, just perfect. On the first evening it rained non-stop and we were driven to our accommodation by the landlady without asking - where else is there so much warmth? The food was bombastic, whether asparagus, beef or fish - everything was on point and tasted incredibly delicious. We have a very clear recommendation for the store... Keep it up, it was a pleasure to be your guests

The food was very good. The menu was extensive and everyone will find what they are looking for. Individual requests were responded to very nicely and naturally. The landlady is really interested in giving the guest a nice evening.

We went there spontaneously with 6 people. And we were surprised from the outside it was very inconspicuous. But we have never eaten such good asparagus with various side dishes. Everyone was very nice and accommodating. The dog was immediately given water and a blanket without saying a word. Thank you for the great food, it was really great. Definitely coming back 🥰

The asparagus cordon bleu is awesome! Asparagus, rolled in mountain cheese and ham - and then lightly fried... apart from the good food, the service here is excellent: because that's what we live here. Be it finding the right digestif or a local wine shop (Marianne and Jochen's wine bar). We had a great evening and recommend everyone to stop here.

Excellent, fine cuisine, beautiful ambience, beautiful, large beer garden terrace in summer. The high-quality dishes are perfectly seasoned, the menu is very varied, there is really something for every taste, and the service is extremely friendly. Yes, go there 😀! I have been to this hospitable restaurant very often now and on a variety of occasions. For dinner for two, with children, for weddings and birthdays in larger groups. I was never disappointed. In addition to great and freshly inspired classics, the menu also offers plenty for vegetarian and vegan diets. Not just salad plates and cheese spaetzle - as so often... There is always something new to discover and I would especially like to mention the desserts here. Simply great! If someone can cook easily, then it tastes good. Coupled with friendly service, this is a very successful time. The prices are fair, especially when you consider the authenticity. By the way, you can also taste that with the quality of the meat 😍 Simply a great restaurant with soul!

Essen war top, Bedienung hat uns leider oft nicht gesehen

Wirklich freundliches Personal. Mein Burger (schweizer Special) hat mich leider nicht überzeugt, dafür war der Rinderbraten superzart und sehr gut, auch meine Vorspeise sowie das "kleine vorweg aufs Haus" - Brot mit hausgemachter Kürbispate, waren toll.

Wahnsinns tolles Essen, bestens bedient worden und die Atmosphäre ist richtig schön heimisch. Hier haben wir uns sehr wohl gefühlt! Vielen Dank!

Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und das Essen war sehr gut. Ein kleiner Kritikpunkt ist, dass zum restlichen Ambiente Stoffservietten besser passen würden. 😊 Ansonsten gibt es nichts zu bemängeln, erstklassiger Service und es ging auch sehr schnell bis das Essen kam. Kommen gerne wieder.

Es ist ein sehr gutes Restaurant aber das ist nicht das einzige was der Ort zu bitten hat. Die Gastfreundschaft ist etwas besonderes und wichtiges im Haus Tannenberg. Deswegen würde ich es immer gern weiter empfehlen.

War ein sehr gelungener Abend mit außerordentlich netten Gastgebern. Es hat alles gestimmt; sehr gutes Essen, sehr freundlicher Service, tolles Ambiente und sehr nette Unterhaltungen. Absolut empfehlenswert.

So good we ate here twice this week. Large portions of good quality homemade food using local ingredients. We had a great steak, lovely hummus and garlic bread and huge, tasty burgers. Friendly staff who put up with our minimal German skills. Nice atmosphere and great views.

Wir hatten eine große Feier mit 45 Personen zum Brunch und 30 zum Abendessen. Den ganzen Tag waren die Gastgeber hilfsbereit, freundlich und fröhlich. Der Ort und die Menschen sind wunderbar für ein Familienfest. Auch in der Vorbereitung zeigten Sie sich sehr freundlich und flexibel. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Ein Restaurant zum Wohlfühlen! Wir haben exzellent gegessen und wurden freundlich und zuvorkommend bedient. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist hervorragend! Wir hatten einen SchwarzwaldBurger, einen SchweitzerbergBurger, Kartoffelrösti und ein Kinderschnitzel. Alles richtig lecker und sättigend. Als Vorspeise kam ein Gruß des Hauses (Rote Beete Creme mit selbst gebackenem Brot), der ebenfalls sehr schmackhaft war. Als Nachspeise hatten wir das absolut zu empfehlende Soufflé. Hier spürt man die Liebe zum Kochen!

Heute war mal wieder die Burger-Karte im Fokus - sehr lecker. Freuen uns aufs nächste Mal!

Überragend! Das Haus wirkt von außen eher unscheinbar, auch der Eingangsbereich lässt nicht vermuten, welch wunderbare Küche dieses Haus zu bieten hat. Der Blick in die Karte zeigt dann aber schon, hier arbeitet jemand in der Küche, der sein Handwerk versteht. Die Speisen sind von hervorragender Qualität, die Zutaten frisch, die Kompositionen interessant aber passend, die Garpunkte so wie sie sein sollen. Die Verwendung von Gewürzen und Kräutern gelingt in einer Art, die dem Gaumen Freunde bereitet. Das Schokoladen-Soufflé mit Waldbeerensorbet ist zum Niederknien lecker.

Lecker gespeist in Todtnauberg direkt am Skilift. Der Burger Schweizer Traum ist ein Gedicht. Dazu leckerer Salat aus dem eigenen Garten. Auch das Gemüse mit Ziegenkäse - sehr fein! Insgesamt eine gut durchdachte Karte. Es ist für jeden Geschmack etwas dabei. Da der Gasthof noch im Umbau befindlich ist, ist das Ambiente noch eher in den 80 ern hängen geblieben. Das wird aber werden - man kann hier auf die jungen, aktiven Wirtsleute bauen. Ein positives Beispiel hierfür ist das schon modernisierte Appartement für 2 Personen. Waren mit Hund dort.

Es war ein sehr schöner Abend. Das Essen war richtig lecker! Die Inhaber haben Spaß an ihrem Job und das schmeckt und merkt man!

Wir waren während unseres Urlaubs hier essen und waren absolut begeistert. Neben dem lecken Essen (Haupt- wie Nachspeisen), das sehr liebevoll angerichtet wurde, hatten wir auch einen Top Service und konnten unseren Abend wirklich gut ausklingen lassen. Absolute Empfehlung! Wir wären gerne nochmal gekommen, leider waren unsere restlichen Urlaubstage Ruhetage im Restaurant. Am besten vorher reservieren.

Das war für uns seit langer Zeit der beste Restaurant-Besuch. Wir sind rundum begeistert. Super herzlicher und (kinder-) freundlicher Service, sehr sehr leckeres Essen (auch für Kids), tolle Location und faires Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Einziges Manko (für uns): Zu weit weg von unserem Heimatort! Sonst würden wir viel häufiger vorbeikommen. ;-)

Von aussen denkt man nicht wie es drinnen aussieht, schönes einladendes Lokal mit schöner Terrasse, das Essen ist geschmackvoll und die Portionen sind sehr ausreichend, der Service, angeführt von der Chefin ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Wir kommen sicher wieder.

Das Essen war sensationell!!! Gestartet haben wir mit einen kleinen gemischten Salat der excellent zusammengesetzt war. Zum Hauptgang haben wir uns für das Wiener Schnitzel aus Kalbfleisch entschieden, dieses war ebenfalls sehr gut ebenso waren die Beilagen. Der Service war äusserst freundlich und zuvorkommend

Im Rahmen meiner BMW Z1 Schwarzwaldtour war ich mit mehreren Teilnehmern zum Essen im Haus Tannenberg. Die Abstimmung im Vorfeld war top. Die Inhaber sind sehr freundlich und kompetent. Das Essen und vor allem der Nachtisch waren sehr gut. Ich habe schon länger keinen so guten Burger mehr gegessen. Keine Frage, wir kommen sicher mal wieder... Bis dahin weiterhin viel Erfolg!
