Great portions. Food is good. Rump steak too chewy unfortunately. When we were there it was not possible to pay by card, and the bill was hand calculated. In hindsight, the bill was about 15€ too much.

The food was delicious but a bit expensive. The attention was very nice. I ordered a Pfeffersteak (pepper beef) and it was delicious. They have tables outside which is good to take advantage of the good weather, but the place itself is not very nice.

Do not come if you do not speak German fluently and are not prepared to pay by cash. They will refuse payment by VISA/MasterCard/etc. even if they are indicated on their door. We had to pay 175 euros by cash. Scammers. Average cuisine.

My husband and I are extremely enthusiastic about this restaurant. We had the Fette Mühle and Käsespätzle for dinner. It was super tasty and mega portions. The staff very friendly and accommodating. Price-performance ratio is also good. We really enjoy coming back here. Motorcycle riders are also welcome here.

The quality of the food is catastrophic! We were there in a group of 7 people! The salad is made up of canned goods and fresh salads! The taste ranges from watery to stale - served on a plastic plate! The Jägerschnitzel was completely burnt - at least there was a replacement here! The schnitzel (turkey) was ok! The spaghetti Bolgnese had a sweet taste and was therefore old and not fresh! Carelessly prepared, warmed up in the microwave, there wasn't even parmesan on it! An impudence! The cheese spaetzle was served in a plastic plate - at least the taste was good! The furnishings and decoration are not inviting. The waitress forgot something a total of three times - a drink, extra plates and cutlery! The ceiling lighting at the table didn't work. Toilet paper was missing in the women's toilet. The general cleanliness would not have passed a state inspection. Where the good reviews on Google come from is a mystery to me! One star is actually too many!

The restaurant is located right next to the toboggan run and mountain bike park. Seems to be popular with bikers and day tourists. You can eat outside, inside or on the sun terrace. The menu is rather short, but the schnitzels we ordered were large and tasty, so the price was reasonable. The service was friendly and attentive.

We ate there on Mother's Day, prices were totally overpriced, schnitzel 22.50 euros. Salad was almost garbage. You weren't even allowed to look around. Service was friendly and tried hard. Unfortunately there was no other alternative that day. Unfortunately I can't recommend the restaurant.

We were there on Sunday and the place was yawningly empty, while everywhere else you were turned away because of overcrowding. Service: Was very friendly and tried hard without being intrusive. Ambiance: It's getting older and in desperate need of a makeover. Eat: The Jägerschnitzel with fries and salad is not worth the €22.50. The side salad is a 5 as a school grade. At least it isn't rotten. The schnitzel itself is okay and tastes good, but it shouldn't cost more than €18.90. All in all, rather disappointing and at almost 130 euros for 5 adults, more expensive than any other restaurant.

Waited about 1 hour 40 minutes for food. Even the drinks that were ordered took half an hour to reach the table. When we insisted after 1.5 hours that we at least needed fries for the children because they were already very upset because they were hungry, we were lied to about the waiting time, saying that we wouldn't have to wait that long and we didn't had reserved (which we have). The waitress was also very loud and rude. After almost 2 hours we all had our food. There wasn't much going on that day. The price of €13-20 per dish was not reflected in the quality.

Went here for dinner for the first and last time today. Kindly there was a table without a reservation. However, we immediately noticed the uncoordinated operation. She walked around completely aimless. Instead of taking the drinks with the food, this happened 10 minutes later when several more guests came and had to wait for them. What can you write... 2 stars: 1 for the food, 1 for the friendly service BUT: The whole place has an extremely dingy atmosphere. Cables hang out of the wall, some of the plaster is crumbling, the glasses above the counter are dusty and covered in a layer of dirt. We spontaneously went to the Pfeffermühle Todtnau after a hike and we have to say - we were and are absolutely thrilled. Super friendly staff, very accommodating. Our dog was warmly welcomed from the first second and there were no problems whatsoever. The atmosphere is rustic, we felt very comfortable. The food was excellent. Both the side salad and the main course were very tasty. The portions were more than sufficient and we were both very full. One thing is clear - when we are in the area again we will eat at the Pfeffermühle.

The food was really good the people that work there are very kind. You dont have to wait very long for your food and you get really good filled plates it was very nice to eat there.

We were hungry and found Di Pferffermühle. The food was very good and the service was very nice.

New owners. Team is not yet well-coordinated, but still friendly. Orders were forgotten but delivered quickly. Facility in need of renovation. Food is okay, but the menu is more focused on pizza, which doesn't fit the name Pfeffermühle. Pizza was not tried. Käsespätzle were not homemade and are not worth the price. Schnitzels were OK.

Die Pfeffermühle ist ein kleines und gemütliches Restaurant. Hier wird man sehr freundlich empfangen und bedient! Die Pizza fand ich sehr gut, leider waren die Fleischgerichte schon ausverkauft. Gerne hätte ich vorher gewusst, dass man derzeit nur bar zahlen kann. Die Parkmöglichkeiten vorm Haus sind etwas eingeschränkt. Ich war dennoch sehr zufrieden mit dem Besuch und kann die Pfeffermühle Todtnau nur weiterempfehlen!

Neue Inhaber... Es herrscht etwas Renovierungsstau* Die Küche selbst ist Funktionstüchtig und der Koch beherrscht sein Handwerk. Die Spaghetti Gerichte und Schnitzel wurden geprüfte und für super befunden. Am heutigen Tag wurde ein Fittbesteller und Gordonbleu gekostet. Extrawünsche sind möglich und der Empfang wie Bedienung herzlich!. Versucht es mal wenn ihr Satt zum Fairen Preis werden wollt.!

Das Essen war gut,leider machte die Friseuse Probleme und die Pommes waren etwas zu fettig. Es wurde allerdings umgehend angeboten Neue zu machen. Gläser und Besteck ebenfalls sauber und fleckenfrei. Service sehr freundlich,ebenfalls die Mitarbeiter der Küche. Da dieses Lokal im Aufbau ist,ist die Einrichtung noch sehr alt,Sanitäranlagen allerdings recht neu und absolut sauber. Am Nebentisch beschwerten sich Kunden über eine Fliege im Glas,und das bei einem halb ausgetrunkenem Bier,nicht nachzuvollziehen diese Kritik,die auch sehr unfreundlich geäußert wurde. Wir würden nochmal dort Essen.

One of a kind !! The owners are very kind and the food is extra ordiner . we ordered Spaghetti Carbonara which was "al dente" and delicious along with real Muzarrella Capersa salad and for deset a delicious strawberry pie from a true Italian chef.

Können die guten Bewertungen nicht verstehen. Man konnte die Schnitzel essen aber so lecker die beschrieben war es nicht. Der Hunger hat es reingetrieben. Die Bedienung war freundlich aber das Essen absolut nicht das Geld wert.

Wir waren zwei mal hier und das Essen hat super geschmeckt. Wir hatten verschiedene Schnitzel, und jedesmal war alles sehr lecker 😋. Ehrliches Essen und reichlich wars auch. Die Leute sehr nett und freundlich. Und auf Zack. Unbedingt empfehlenswert!

Hatten Samstags Hunger und im Schnellverfahren per Google Maps ein Restaurant in Todtnau gesucht. Die Wahl viel auf die Pfeffermühle. Auffallend sind die netten Servicekräfte die auch recht schnell unterwegs sind. Auch auffallend war die schön angerichtete Bruschetta, bei der allerdings ein Brötchen ziemlich dunkel war und von der Konsistenz her vermuten ließ, es sei vom gestrigen Tag neu aufgewärmt worden (Siehe Foto). Die Spaghetti waren ganz gut, auch der Salat war lecker. Die Waffeln, die wir als Nachtisch bestellt hatten waren nicht so toll. Der Teig schmeckte sauer. Entweder war die verwendete Milch sauer, oder es ist irgend etwas anderes schief gelaufen. Auch ein Gespräch mit der Service-Dame konnte hier keine Klärung bringen. Das Restaurant selbst wirkt ziemlich ungepflegt. Die Stühle im "Wintergarten" haben total verdreckte Bezüge. Man sieht hunderte von Flecken und Ränder, die einen glauben lassen jemand wäre auf dem Sitzkissen ausgelaufen. Woher die Idee kommt diese versifften Stühle Gästen so anzubieten, kann ich nicht verstehen. Leider habe ich versäumt davon ein Foto zu machen. Die Toiletten hingegen machen einen besseren Eindruck. Hier wurde offensichtlich vor einiger Zeit renoviert. Alles in allem ist die Pfeffermühle ganz o.k. um den Hunger zu befriedigen, allerdings gibt es hier viele Dinge die verbessert werden könnten.

Das Essen war lecker und der Service war auch sehr gut. Das Ambiente ist sehr in die Jahre gekommen und wirkt alt und „verbraucht“

Prices are really high and do not justify anything. The food is indeed fine, but not food that justifies the price, there are occasional deficiencies in several dishes (which is a bit disappointing), but overall it is fine.
