Leider hatten wir nach 55 Minuten noch kein Essen, obwohl nichts los war. Auf Nachfrage wurde ein Schnaps angeboten, haben wir aber abgelehnt. Dann haben wir unsere Getränke bezahlt und sind gegangen. Sehr schade.

Gesamteindruck hervorragend und das Essen sehr lecker. Zum zweiten Mal gingen wir mit einem sehr positiven Eindruck nach Hause und kommen bestimmt wieder hier her.

Selten so wohlgefühlt! Fantastisches Essen, ausgezeichnete Weine, Terrasse mit Blick auf die Burg und ein Service, der keine Wünsche offenlässt. Waren zwei Tage in Folge dort weil es einfach Klasse war. Essen - Ambiente & Service top. Gut bürgerlich und die Speisekarte einfach und ansprechend.

Ein prima Restaurant, in dem es uns sehr gut gefallen hat. Wir hatten für vier Personen reserviert, allerdings war der Tisch im mittleren Teil nicht so schön... nach kurzer Nachfrage hat man uns in den Gewölbeteil gebracht. Wir waren sehr positiv überrascht wie schön der "Keller" ist, richtig urig in der die Atmosphäre eines alten Weinkellers sehr gut rüberkommt. Auch von außen ist das Lokal sehr schön gestaltet. Die Speisen war ansprechend und lecker. Getoppt wurde das nur durch das sehr freundliche Personal, das stets präsent aber nie aufdringlich war. Die Toilette dürften ein wenig überarbeitet werden.

Wir hatten Heute einen kleinen Ausflug nach Meersburg gemacht und wenn man einen Ausflug macht, will man auch was Essen. Ich würde mal sagen, das wir Heute Goldrichtig lagen, als wir am Haus der Weine nicht vorbei gelaufen sind, sondern uns vom Ambiente haben ansprechen lassen. Auf der Karte stand Wild und da ich eine Weile schon kein Wild gegessen habe, habe ich mir Hirsch Medaillons bestellt. Ich wurde nicht enttäuscht, das Fleisch war hervorragend. Die Weinkarte ist auch eine Empfehlung wert. Also, wenn Ihr gut Essen wollt, solltet, Ihr hier unbedingt einkehren. Volle Punktzahl *****

Sehr gutes, mit Raffinesse gekochtes Essen! Wir hatten Schweinebäckchen und Geschnetzeltes, davor ein sehr leckerer Salat und Knoblauchbrot! Danach die Zitronen Panna Cotta! Hier waren wir nicht das letzte Mal essen!

Ein wirklich tolles Restaurant mit fantastischem Essen😋 Der Name lässt nicht auf das schließen, was man bekommt....Essen, was mit Raffinesse zubereitet ist und tatsächlich sehr viel besser schmeckt, als in den üblichen Lokalitäten. Geschmacklich wirklich sehr gut, die Portionen sind angemessen und preislich ist absolut nichts zu beanstanden. Eine absolute Empfehlung und wir werden sicherlich nochmal kommen.

Unfortunately, we had to wait 1.5 hours for our food. The food itself was good, but the wait was far too long and the waiter offered no apology or anything similar. The food was presented without any care. For the same dish, one person received boiled vegetables while the other received grilled vegetables.

Excellent food and service, with a really cool view of the castle if you sit outside. The Käsespätzle and Wild Maultaschen in particular were very good.

We were a family of three. We ate Swabian specialties, and all three dishes were very good. Excellent value for money.

We dined at this restaurant during our vacation and were absolutely thrilled! The food was outstanding – simply delicious and more than ample. The homemade garlic bread served with the mixed salad was a particular highlight – simply fantastic! The service was also consistently excellent: very friendly, attentive, and warm. You immediately feel welcome and well taken care of. The value for money is definitely right. Another plus: dogs are warmly welcomed and even get a bowl of fresh water – a great service for pet owners! We wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant and will gladly return on our next visit!

We visited there during off-season for Meersburg, in late March. The deer gulash was realy good, so was house made bread. I wished to try sea bream but couldn't due to fishing season. I wanna try it the next time I am there. :) The waiter was also very friendly.

We were there during the off-season, so we weren't able to enjoy the lovely terrace. Great wine selection, including an excellent Müller-Thurgau. The cuisine was fairly classic. The risotto was cooked to perfection. Attentive service. It was a lovely evening.

Meersburg can be a little dreary in the evenings during winter. We decided to eat here, and we weren't disappointed. The risottos and fish are excellent, and the wine is too. A very pleasant memory before heading back into the almost medieval streets.

My girlfriend and I spontaneously decided to stop by. We were drawn to the place from the outside. It was also significantly better priced than the restaurants on the lake promenade. The food was a real treat. The complimentary homemade bread was almost the highlight of our visit; I'll definitely be back for that alone. She ordered schnitzel with fried potatoes, and I had the pork cheeks with mashed potatoes. Both dishes were beautifully presented and tasted far superior to what you'd get at an average German restaurant. I highly recommend it!

A gem in Meersburg 😍 Always a pleasure…

We can't understand the positive reviews. First, we were brought the wrong food. The sea bream fillet that followed was unfortunately full of bones. The saffron risotto was, sadly, more rice with saffron spice. The rump steak we ordered was good, even though it was lost on the plate, as three-quarters of it consisted of fries, and the last quarter was shared by butter, the steak, and a decorative tomato. After the meal, we spoke with the owner, who only wanted to give us his side of the story and wasn't able to accept our feedback. Instead, we had a very tedious discussion, which is exactly what no customer wants. We felt completely disregarded.

Unfortunately, I have to leave a negative review for this restaurant. We came for dinner on February 14th, but the evening ended very disappointingly and unfortunately demonstrated a lack of customer focus on the part of the management. I ordered a risotto with sea bream. Due to a mix-up, I was initially served a completely different dish, so I had to wait again for my food. In the meantime, my husband had already finished his meal. Only after about 20 minutes was my risotto finally brought to me. To my great regret, however, it wasn't a proper risotto at all, but rather completely overcooked, mushy rice. The sea bream – which the chef claimed was a fillet – also contained a lot of bones. Instead of reacting professionally and finding a solution, the chef reacted extremely loudly and aggressively, stating that we "didn't understand anything about German risotto." This behavior was very unpleasant for us. The impression was that the chef was less interested in the guests' satisfaction and more concerned with defending his own opinion and professionalism at all costs, without allowing any room for criticism or differing opinions. It's a real shame that the staff wasn't interested in a constructive solution, but only in being right. The guests' wishes and impressions unfortunately seem to play no role here. Overall, a very disappointing evening.

A relaxed atmosphere, delicious food, and generous portions – everyone will leave satisfied. The service is outstanding: very attentive and dedicated, and you can immediately tell that the staff loves their job. The prices are absolutely fair for the quality offered. Highly recommended!

Unfortunately, we were very disappointed on New Year's Eve. We had reserved a table, and up until then, the restaurant owners had been very friendly. When we arrived, we were shown to our table, and then offered the New Year's Eve menu, which hadn't been mentioned during the reservation process or on the website. Only after we were seated were we told that the only option available that evening was the New Year's Eve menu, at a hefty price. The biggest problem, however, was the lack of vegetarian dishes. When we explained that we were vegetarians, we received a strange look and were then told, "But there's fish on the menu, you're not vegan, are you?!" We left, but luckily, we found a great table with a lovely atmosphere at the Winzerstube restaurant right next door. That same evening, we met another couple in a bar who told us that the New Year's Eve menu hadn't been mentioned to them during their reservation, and they were also very disappointed. It seemed to us as if this was a tactic to push the expensive menu on all the guests. We are very disappointed and will not be visiting the restaurant again.

The good reviews persuaded us to stop by. Disappointing! The menu offers a wild selection of dishes ranging from game to German specialties, Thai curry, and risotto. The presentation was unappealing, and the food was practically ice cold. The venison goulash, in particular, seemed to have been only slightly warmed up (still cold in the center) and served with supermarket-quality spaetzle, pear jelly, and whipped cream from a can?! Four kilograms of fried onions were used to "enhance" the Käsespätzle (cheese spaetzle). The waiters, however, were very friendly and tried to create a welcoming atmosphere despite their broken German. Next time, please refrain from smoking right before serving. Not really recommended; more like a tourist trap.

A real insider tip in the heart of Meersburg. The team is friendly, a bit chaotic, and a bit difficult to communicate with, but the chef is truly accommodating. I was there with six friends, everyone ordered a different dish, and everyone was very satisfied. Unfortunately, my "potato with quark and salmon strips" wasn't what I had imagined! Everything was arranged on top of each other in a deep plate, looking a bit "unappetizing." That was probably my fault. So, I don't want to criticize negatively just because I don't know baked potatoes in the same way. The ambiance is simply beautiful, both in the vaulted ceiling and upstairs. Cozy, exceptional, and highly recommended. The price-performance ratio is rather high, but still within reason. Conclusion: A clear recommendation for anyone who enjoys good, home-style cooking and wants a special gourmet experience.

It's quite surprising that a "house of wines" doesn't offer a proper wine list and only has two or three wines to offer. The food isn't exactly a feast; "sufficient" is the right word here. Service is friendly and attentive. The location is generally cozy and inviting.

This small, cozy restaurant was a fantastic find. The food was outstanding, and the service was professional and friendly. We saw the daily specials on a small chalkboard outside, which today focused on wild game. We chose the venison stew and the dorade risotto. The chef’s handmade pasta and risotto were a wonderful complement to the dishes. The venison was tender and flavorful, and the dorade was so fresh and perfectly seared. It was a flawless meal. The wine were also top-notch. It was an amazing dining experience at a surprisingly affordable price.

The service, the location, and the ambiance were fantastic. I have to deduct stars for the food: my soup wasn't hot, and the tartar had a residue of egg white that wasn't properly separated. Personally, I would have preferred more seasoning. My friend loved her venison, but complained that the spaetzle weren't homemade. The bread, with a hint of garlic, was very good, however.

First of all, I have to say that the staff is super personable and friendly. You really get the feeling they're like a family and enjoy their work. Plus, the food is a 10 out of 10. The champagne sauce was one of the best things I've ever eaten.

The menu is extensive, but with a limited vegetarian offering, which, compared to the meat and fish dishes, displays neither particular creativity nor culinary sophistication. Untapped potential, as a more appealing vegetarian offering could easily be created from the existing ingredients. The cuisine is solid in taste and visually appealing, but lacks any inspiring touches – especially for vegetarians. These are dishes that could easily be prepared at home, even on a busy weekday. Drinks: No compelling non-alcoholic offering; prices are generally high. Ambience & Service: Friendly service, rustic decor. The most pleasant seating is outside. Overall, there's not enough appeal to consider returning.

Best value for money of all the restaurants we visited during our vacation in Meersburg. Great salads, very tender meat, cooked to perfection. Wheat beer on tap and excellent, attentive staff. Hello We were with you for the second time today. I had the roast beef with onions and spaetzle. It was very good; the only downside was the dried onions. I would have preferred fresh ones. Then we had the zander with risotto, which was delicious. The server was very attentive and friendly. Keep up the good work, we'll be back.
