The food was really good. The staff was very friendly and attentive. However, there is one drawback. The online menu doesn't match the one in the restaurant. The food is more expensive! This should be updated.

The good reviews persuaded us to stop by. Disappointing! The menu offers a wild selection of dishes ranging from game to German specialties, Thai curry, and risotto. The presentation was unappealing, and the food was practically ice cold. The venison goulash, in particular, seemed to have been only slightly warmed up (still cold in the center) and served with supermarket-quality spaetzle, pear jelly, and whipped cream from a can?! Four kilograms of fried onions were used to "enhance" the Käsespätzle (cheese spaetzle). The waiters, however, were very friendly and tried to create a welcoming atmosphere despite their broken German. Next time, please refrain from smoking right before serving. Not really recommended; more like a tourist trap.

A real insider tip in the heart of Meersburg. The team is friendly, a bit chaotic, and a bit difficult to communicate with, but the chef is truly accommodating. I was there with six friends, everyone ordered a different dish, and everyone was very satisfied. Unfortunately, my "potato with quark and salmon strips" wasn't what I had imagined! Everything was arranged on top of each other in a deep plate, looking a bit "unappetizing." That was probably my fault. So, I don't want to criticize negatively just because I don't know baked potatoes in the same way. The ambiance is simply beautiful, both in the vaulted ceiling and upstairs. Cozy, exceptional, and highly recommended. The price-performance ratio is rather high, but still within reason. Conclusion: A clear recommendation for anyone who enjoys good, home-style cooking and wants a special gourmet experience.

It's quite surprising that a "house of wines" doesn't offer a proper wine list and only has two or three wines to offer. The food isn't exactly a feast; "sufficient" is the right word here. Service is friendly and attentive. The location is generally cozy and inviting.

This small, cozy restaurant was a fantastic find. The food was outstanding, and the service was professional and friendly. We saw the daily specials on a small chalkboard outside, which today focused on wild game. We chose the venison stew and the dorade risotto. The chef’s handmade pasta and risotto were a wonderful complement to the dishes. The venison was tender and flavorful, and the dorade was so fresh and perfectly seared. It was a flawless meal. The wine were also top-notch. It was an amazing dining experience at a surprisingly affordable price.

The reception, service, and food were absolutely fantastic. It definitely won't be my last time there. This restaurant proves that dining can still be an experience.

The service, the location, and the ambiance were fantastic. I have to deduct stars for the food: my soup wasn't hot, and the tartar had a residue of egg white that wasn't properly separated. Personally, I would have preferred more seasoning. My friend loved her venison, but complained that the spaetzle weren't homemade. The bread, with a hint of garlic, was very good, however.

The menu is extensive, but with a limited vegetarian offering, which, compared to the meat and fish dishes, displays neither particular creativity nor culinary sophistication. Untapped potential, as a more appealing vegetarian offering could easily be created from the existing ingredients. The cuisine is solid in taste and visually appealing, but lacks any inspiring touches – especially for vegetarians. These are dishes that could easily be prepared at home, even on a busy weekday. Drinks: No compelling non-alcoholic offering; prices are generally high. Ambience & Service: Friendly service, rustic decor. The most pleasant seating is outside. Overall, there's not enough appeal to consider returning.

First of all, I have to say that the staff is super personable and friendly. You really get the feeling they're like a family and enjoy their work. Plus, the food is a 10 out of 10. The champagne sauce was one of the best things I've ever eaten.

Hello We were with you for the second time today. I had the roast beef with onions and spaetzle. It was very good; the only downside was the dried onions. I would have preferred fresh ones. Then we had the zander with risotto, which was delicious. The server was very attentive and friendly. Keep up the good work, we'll be back.

It may take a minute or two longer, but everything is freshly prepared. There's also a rustic outdoor area, which looks and is quite cozy. As the name suggests, there's a large selection of wines. Very nice and friendly staff. I can wholeheartedly recommend this place, and if there were more than 5 stars to be given, I would. 👍

Whether it was venison or pork medallions in a pepper cream sauce, the service was very friendly, and the conversation was lively. We'll eat there again the next time we're at Lake Constance.

Beautiful inside, old vault. You feel very comfortable here! Now to the main reason for the bad reviews: the portion size was unfortunately “ridiculous”! The meal for €25 was eaten in less than 5 minutes and you weren't full! I took longer to get my dürüm at my regular kebab and for ⅓ of the price! The cheese spaetzle was seasoned far too little and the cheese also had a very neutral taste. The portion is far too small for the price. In our opinion, the seafood salad was not well seasoned. There was a very good wine and the service also deserves a star.

I don't understand how this place can have so many good reviews. I ate the worst cheese spaetzle of my life there. No homemade spaetzle, which wouldn't be so bad if you got by with a good ready-made product. Not real mountain cheese, but some cheese that tastes like nothing. Totally dry, zero taste. The dishes from the others at my table were only slightly better. The presentation is also poor. For me a typical tourist place. Go there once, pay and goodbye. I can't imagine having a single trained professional in the kitchen because it's so fundamentally wrong and bad from a technical point of view. The service was friendly and attentive, even if the waiting time was very long. No offense, but there has to be a better way.

The motto at the beginning of the menu is completely true, you come as a guest and leave as a friend. Very nice atmosphere in the vaulted cellar, perfect service and food of the best quality. The greeting from the kitchen was equally outstanding: the best homemade bread. Thank you for two excellent evenings, we have rarely felt so welcome.
