Great Hard Rock Café. Food as always, great.

Right on the Elbe River, with a fitting atmosphere. Next door is the obligatory shop.

I often visit Rock Shops to continue my t-shirt collection, which in Hamburg reached number 75. Actually, I bought two t-shirts with Jva's Spanish-speaking customer service for payment, and the attendant tried to talk to the manager about getting me a gift, which is common for collectors who wear the t-shirts they already own, thus promoting the brand for free. But since it was one of the busiest stores I visited in the area, I don't think this made a difference to them. The management didn't even pay us any attention. And we had to endure the embarrassment of the attendant. I usually take dozens of photos at the establishment when we go to the restaurant, but I was so frustrated that I didn't even want to take one. In fact, we ended up eating at Five Guys, where the service was amazing, and we got a souvenir glass just for being there.

It was packed, but luckily we still got a table. Our burgers were great, but not cheap. The burger should have tasted good, but not so much.

Hello. I just had a coffee there. The ambiance was beautiful and the view was magnificent. The staff was very friendly.

Always a highlight! The Hard Rock Cafe is simply a must for us in every city where there's one! The food is always great, the service is great, and with the ambiance in typical Hard Rock Cafe style, there's always something new to discover!

Up on the terrace, you get a fantastic view. The service was so-so, even though it wasn't that busy. Unfortunately, the food wasn't anything special, and the price was on the higher side. It feels like you're paying a tenner just for the name. So, of course, everyone has to decide for themselves whether it's worth it.

Just had dinner there. Shrimp appetizer. €18! They were very tasty, but overpriced at €18. I had the Messie Chicken Burger/sandwich. It was tasty, but only lukewarm and tiny compared to the picture on the menu. It's really not worth the money. Sorry. Our server, Jakop, went above and beyond. Attentive, friendly, and courteous, top notch. When the manager came over to ask and I said that the burger was really tiny, she just said, "But the main thing is that it tastes good." Unfortunately, the price-performance ratio isn't right.

Great atmosphere and a fantastic location with a fantastic view. Unfortunately, the music on the terrace stopped playing halfway through our stay. It had previously created a really good atmosphere. The drinks selection is really good, although there were no non-alcoholic options. The cocktails themselves could have been presented more beautifully—unfortunately, they weren't very pleasing to the eye. The food was very tasty, but unfortunately not very filling. We were two petite girls, and we had to find something to eat after our visit. Unfortunately, there's no elevator to the restroom on the ground floor...

A small but nice shop at the Landungsbrücken (landing bridges). The merchandise could be a bit more diverse. We didn't eat. The service was mostly in English, but friendly. The atmosphere is a delight for any music fan.

The Hard Rock Cafe Hamburg isn't a top-notch culinary experience, but rather an event and experience venue. People don't go there primarily for the food, but for the atmosphere, the music history, and the iconic merchandise. Service is usually friendly and courteous, but can be a bit slow during busy times (e.g., on weekends or before events). The staff are typically young and casually dressed, which fits the relaxed atmosphere. The food is solid, well-portioned, but not exceptional. It's what you'd expect from a large American chain: hearty, fatty, and not particularly complex in flavor. The price is often perceived as a bit too high for the quality offered. The Hard Rock Cafe is expensive. A main meal with a drink can easily cost €25-40 per person. You're clearly paying for the brand, the location, and the ambiance, not for the culinary masterpiece. If you keep that in mind, you won't be disappointed.

The ambiance on the roof terrace is good, but the service unfortunately didn't impress us. Some people don't speak or understand German at all, it takes three people to bring a guest a sugar, we waited fifteen minutes for a beer and a sangria, and the beer had already been on the counter for five minutes... Many of the service staff just stand around, it seems they're doing this for the first time...? It's a shame, we actually wanted to eat here, but we'd rather go back to St. Pauli...

Not recommended for a large group with pre-ordered food. Despite pre-ordering, we waited 45 minutes. The burgers were cold!!! The salad was extremely small, and there was no fresh bread to go with it.

A great but also quite expensive venue. Music is, of course, a matter of taste.

My review is of the rooftop terrace of the Hard Rock Café in Hamburg. The terrace was almost completely empty, with only three tables occupied. However, it took almost 10 minutes for us to receive a drink menu. The neighboring tables also complained that there was no service, even though there were three waiters at the bar. The view from the terrace is truly amazing! We ordered a BBQ and a cheeseburger. The burgers looked great. But that was it. The patties were cold and completely unseasoned. They absolutely tasted of nothing! We've rarely eaten such tasteless burgers! At €27-30 each! Burger menu, there simply has to be more. You're definitely paying for the great view and the name. Therefore, absolutely not a recommendation and very poor value for money.

I'd like to note that this is my first time here, and the ambiance is undoubtedly impressive. However, I find the value for money of the food unacceptable. The portions seem unreasonably small considering the prices, especially considering the cost. A small salad and a meager piece of ground meat don't justify the prices charged, in my opinion, and seem more like a deception. Not again, sorry!!!

It's quite crowded, reservations recommended! The music is too loud for a good conversation. Prices are quite steep... Unfortunately, the music selection is very flexible when it comes to rock...

Cool cafe with cool music :) Of course, there are a few beautiful pieces of history to admire here as well. You should definitely plan a visit when you're in this beautiful city!

Great location, great food & drinks

The food was okay. However, the value for money was no longer there. Homemade lemonade was extremely expensive, as were some of the dishes. We also got an impossible table right next to the elevator, where the lights kept going on and off and on… a silly table. The table for four was free next door, and we had Farcitas, the stuff, and our drinks didn't all fit on our table. When we asked, we were told it was only possible for four people at the larger table. Aha. But no one else came the entire evening. The Hard Rock Cafe is actually a must-have for me when visiting Hamburg. But not really.

Kuschelrock Cafe is probably more accurate. The worst Hard Rock Cafe ever. Backstreet Boys blaring from the speakers, no one speaks German, terrible live music downstairs, a very poor drink selection, and so on.

Disappointing! When there's nothing going on in a cult bar on a Friday night, you should think about it! We only drank one beer each, but it was more expensive than in a fancy restaurant :(

We had delicious burgers in a great atmosphere, and the service was very attentive. We also had a wonderful view directly overlooking the Elbe River.

The restaurant definitely thrives on its location. It is and will always be a chain. The food was good, but the prices were too high in my opinion. Service was good, but they persistently try to upgrade every order. This upselling is very annoying.

Vibe is just perfect .. The interior is full of energy, decorated with authentic music memorabilia that keeps your eyes wandering while you enjoy your food and drinks. The staff are friendly and upbeat, which adds to the lively yet relaxed feel. Whether you’re stopping in for a casual burger and cocktail or making it part of a night out, the place knows how to set the mood.

I was a little disappointed. It's just a normal bar that was terribly loud and drafty.

A great experience in Hamburg. An American restaurant that serves high-quality, generous, and delicious burgers. Plus, the location is ideal: right on the harbor with a magnificent view that makes the meal even more enjoyable. A perfect place to eat well while enjoying the scenery!

Wanted to give this place at least four stars as the service was great, music great, food descent but overpriced for what it is. I had lunch here today and felt welcomed by my waitress and had a nice time. But the issue was the wait for my food, the waitress offered me a drink on the house and I took her up on that offer. So, after I’d paid and then saw that said drink was on the bill I was unpleasantly surprised as I don’t like being lied to. I asked about it and she then explained it was only eligible for a soft drink and not an alcoholic one, which was not mentioned beforehand. Othwr than that, had a nice time, but the misunderstanding really ruined it for me, explain these things clearly to your customer(s) in future.

The place was okay. We didn't get a good drink, but the food was okay, and I think the service could have been much better. The atmosphere was good, and the music was pleasant, but the sound quality was lacking.

We always enjoy going to the Hard Rock. The food is excellent, the servers are super friendly, and the music is great.

I actually only wanted to give it three stars, because it really has nothing to do with a typical Hard Rock Cafe. Mainstream would be a better adjective. This is a soft-as-water cafe. But your waitresses make the boring decor stand out. The waitresses are super friendly. I'm happy to give it an extra star.

The food was good. The price-performance ratio was just about right. The atmosphere was quite loud. Unfortunately, there were no toys for the kids' menu, and it wasn't communicated beforehand. It's a shame, so we had to deal with the drama.

Located next to the river Elbe close to the St Pauli area. Plenty of tables for food and drink. Fast and friendly service. Same menu as most other HR cafes, but that's OK with us as we like most things on it. Photos are of a potato tots starter salmon noodles and a New York burger. All were very good and reasonably priced. 5*

Online reservation not possible! Phone reservation didn't work! The host says he doesn't take reservations on-site. Ambience isn't everything!!!!

Not really. We didn't have a reservation and were seated at the counter, while others who also didn't have a reservation were allowed to sit on the terrace. We were also given a bit of a strange look, so I don't know why you have to act so arrogant, but I'd rather go to a regular coffee shop.

I made my reservation thru Get your ride to skip the line which was great as the place was really busy by the time I got there. The food was good. The waitress was really nice.

We had a drink at the rooftop bar in glorious sunshine. It had a wonderful view of the harbor and the jetties. A bit more expensive, but forgivable given the location.

The service is so slow. The served food one by one without proper cutlery, condiments. Always need to ask them which takes a lot of time again! The burger is mediocre for the price. Not good, not that bad. Cocktail is also disappointing. +service is bad. we asked the waiter from the beginning that we need two separate “receipts”. He said yes, its possible. Afterwards, we were surprised that the bill is all in one receipt. So pricey place for bad service.

Everything is great, I would like the prices to be 5% lower, not because at the 200€ I charged I wanted to leave more TIPS for the employees

We like to go to the Hard Rock Cafe when we're out and about. The kids love the kids' menu. The service is very friendly everywhere we've been. Great!

Super friendly staff and dog-friendly too. A bit loud, but you can have a good conversation. Great, interesting exhibits from musicians. The food was delicious and the prices were fair. There's a merchandise shop right next door. Everything is clean and well-maintained.

My wife and children really enjoyed the food, but unfortunately, I didn't think my burger was that good. The waiters were all very friendly and helpful. We thought the food was a bit overpriced, but you pay for the name.

The Hard Rock Café Hamburg is clean. We only had one coffee here, so we can't share a review of the food. The wait at the bar was a bit too long for our taste, despite the low occupancy. Therefore, we deducted one star. The quality of the drinks was good, though. The prices were reasonable for the location (cappuccino around €3.95). The service was very friendly and courteous, even if they weren't the quickest. In conclusion: It's doable. Just be sure to allow some time when ordering. (It depends on the staff.)

The food was sensational, as was the service! There's a lot of history on the walls, which I thought was really great! Unfortunately, one point was deducted for the pop music that played intermittently. I wouldn't have expected Billie Eilish music at the Hard Rock Café, and in my opinion, it doesn't fit, so it loses one star. 🤗 Otherwise, top-notch!

There was no sauce on the hamburger, the meat was burnt, and the soft drinks were watery and filled with ice cubes. The salad didn't taste like a regular salad, and the music was too loud, making it difficult to have a conversation.

I had the baby back ribs and I have to say they were super delicious 😋 The fries were in the fryer for a very, very long time. They were very crispy. In other words, very hard. Unfortunately, they didn't ask for ketchup or mayo, so I had to go to the bar and ask myself. I wanted to buy a shirt in the shop, but unfortunately, size L was no longer available.

As always, delicious food, good cocktails, and in Hamburg, a perfect location in the old Landungsbrücken with a roof terrace and views of the harbor.

3:00 p.m. Sunday afternoon. Dining room mostly empty but set. Asked if we could go to the roof terrace. No, they were completely booked, and the only seats available were at the bar. Mind you, only after asking if we wanted to eat or just drink, to which we replied with "drink." Sorry, guys, I don't believe you. "We're just a restaurant today," I accepted, even though that would be pretty un-groovy for a Hard Rock Cafe. The question suggested we would have gotten a seat if we had eaten. Pretty illogical - don't you think? Drinks = 1/2 hour - it even correlated with your time estimates. Dinner = 2 hours, definitely not. So if you don't like me, or if you're acting like a chef, tell me to my face. This is just annoying.

The prices were rather high-end, and the food was rather mediocre. I had a burger, and it wasn't exactly the yellow from the egg.

The food and atmosphere were truly top-notch. Just what you'd expect from a Hard Rock Cafe. The atmosphere was very friendly, and Jan, who served us, deserves special mention. We'll definitely be back on our next visit to Hamburg.

Finally visited the legendary Hard Rock Café. It's pleasant to sit on this terrace by the Elbe River. To my surprise, the food had the quality of fast food. There were several misunderstandings with the service.

Conversation at the table is almost impossible, as the noise level of the music (not really rock music...) drowns out everything else. This is even the case on the roof terrace. The food is good, but the prices are over the top. You're clearly paying for the name and the location by the harbor. Unfortunately, the waitress wasn't familiar with the menu and couldn't answer questions about the dishes. We'll be back again, probably not.

As with all Hard Rock restaurants, the prices are a bit higher, but still perfectly reasonable. The view from the top is great, and the service was relatively quick.

Our server was very nice and took our order right away. The food was delicious. And the atmosphere was great.

We went there today, we didn’t wait at all, we are received immediately and saw all three floors of the restaurant. The last floor has a beautiful view of Harbour, but we decided to stay at the main hall because of it’s rock ‘n’ roll vibe. Ali was so helpful for everything, he understood what we wanted actually he helped two customers who didn’t know what they wanted :) Thank you Ali, you left the restaurant, satisfied as happy and so many pictures of the objects from real stars 🎸🎸

We really like the manager, or assistant manager? I don't remember, but he was very funny and very aware of our needs the entire time. He asked us if we want ice- for context, we are Americans and no one had asked us that before at a restaurant here in Germany, which is fine, it was just a very kind gesture of awareness. He also asked about potential food allergies and when we said someone in our party had a shellfish allergy he informed us that it was cooked on a separate grill. Over all 10/10 service.

It was busy and quite crowded. The staff were really friendly and accommodating. The food was good, but a bit expensive. With the Hamburg Card (20% discount), it was okay. There weren't any real eye-catchers (music equipment, etc.).

In keeping with the chain's well-known customs, you'll find the typical decor featuring collectibles from famous musicians. The food is very tasty, but the portion sizes are small, assuming you have a "good appetite." But you won't go hungry. 😉 The prices aren't cheap, but they're definitely within the "normal" range for the area. There's an elevator.
