A Hard Rock Café as you'd expect. Great music, friendly service, and great merchandise. The Hard Rock Café is located right next to the Landungsbrücken (piers).

Ordered food three times: once it was wrong, once it was cooked extremely dry even though I ordered it medium, and once it wasn't tasty. The incorrectly delivered kids' hamburger took another 30 minutes to arrive after I complained. The waitress was rude and unmotivated and said, "You wanted a new one." The ambiance is nice, of course, but other Hard Rock Cafés are much better – we'll definitely never go back.

It was always my girlfriend's dream to visit this place and immerse herself in the world of rock, while enjoying good drinks and good food. Since you should always start with the positives: the location of the Hard Rock Café is, of course, unique, and the view from the rooftop terrace is fantastic. There's plenty of staff on site, and if you make a reservation, you have a good chance of getting a good seat. There's a lot to see from rock legends, and everything is very lovingly designed, and the music fits perfectly. That's about it, though, as far as the positives go, which is a shame. When we arrived, we were directed straight to the rooftop terrace, which, despite umbrellas and shade, wasn't the best option at 35°C outside. When someone finally took our order, we were able to change seats without any problems. However, we ended up sitting at a high table in the middle of the walkway. We sat there and, although we received our drinks after a while, it was quiet after that. There were a lot of staff around, as mentioned above, but none of them felt responsible, and there also seemed to be numerous disagreements within the team, which, of course, you shouldn't notice as a guest, yet we were seated right next to them. After several inquiries, our food order was finally taken. We were pressed for time that day because we wanted to see The Lion King, and the Hard Rock Café only has a 1.5-hour window for food and drinks. So, we were under a lot of pressure when our order finally arrived. The food was presented okay, but already half cold. We received the wrong burger, which we didn't complain about due to the time constraints. It's also confusing that different languages ​​are spoken, and you don't know if everything you say is understood. Perhaps a sign at the entrance would be helpful, indicating that you should order in English, or simply speaking clearly, might prevent mistakes when ordering. It might also be helpful to double-check what you ordered. Overall, the entire service seems very disorganized. We couldn't even clearly identify a manager we could have contacted. Perhaps one more positive thing: apparently, an employee noticed the commotion and gave our young companions a surprise gift, but that was only small consolation. So, unfortunately, our long-awaited visit turned into a bitter disappointment. We wouldn't come back again, unfortunately. We understand that it's not easy for the employees in such midsummer temperatures, but to leave the guest to their own devices and not see them... We would have liked to write more positive things, because we were really looking forward to the visit. What a shame.

Solid food, solid drinks, great rooftop terrace.

We were here twice this week and enjoyed both visits. Very friendly welcome, great service, and a cozy atmosphere. On the first visit, the BBQ sauce on the spare ribs was a bit too spicy. On the second visit, the kitchen took a little longer to prepare our food. Nevertheless, everything was perfect, and the service staff addressed these issues (free Coke with the spicy sauce, putting pressure on the kitchen during the longer wait). We'd love to come back again!

Today, after many years, I was back at a Hard Rock Cafe – years ago in Munich, now in Hamburg. What can I say? The Gateway Burger, the chef's own creation, was simply amazing – if I could, I'd give it 6 stars. The service was relaxed, cool, and fast. You should definitely make a reservation; we (two people) were lucky to get a spot between two reservations. The ambiance isn't really anything to complain about; the jetties, the harbor, and the decor are all top-notch and fit the concept. Nevertheless, I deducted one star because it's very loud inside, making it difficult to have pleasant conversations with the person sitting across from you. But that's not because of the music, it's because everyone sits very close together. Nevertheless, I would come back again and again. Special thanks again to the chef for this amazing burger – the rosemary in it is simply an 11/10.

Whenever we travel, we go to the Hard Rock Cafe if there's one. This time, I have to say the drinks were missing strawberries, they didn't have much ice, and the nachos lacked salt. It's the first Hard Rock where we haven't liked the drinks or the nachos. The views from the terrace overlooking the Elbe River are beautiful, as is the service, which is always friendly. But we didn't like the food.

The price-performance ratio today leaves a lot to be desired. Almost all meals (burgers) cost over €20, and in the end, they don't taste the same as before. Portions are far too small and completely overpriced. Sorry 🤦🏼 we knew better!

We went to the Hard Rock Cafe twice. The first time, everything was fine. The second time, it wasn't good. We waited over 30 minutes for drinks, and then another 30 minutes for our food. We also had vouchers for dessert. They scanned them, but after another 30 minutes and no dessert, we paid and left. We said something. They apologized, but nothing else. We go to the Hard Rock often, and we've never experienced anything like this. So, once it was great, once it was a flop.

Everything was good today! The food (special burger offer) was truly delicious. Staff at all positions were very friendly and attentive. Overall, a good location! Recommendation for those who also take cash: when paying with a card, make sure you point out the option to leave a tip, and the cash register will ring!

Just a Hard Rock Cafe. How over-alcoholic, actually too expensive, but it's somehow part of the experience.

The usual cool Hard Rock Cafe atmosphere. Especially in Hamburg at the Landungsbrücken. I'm used to the burgers better at other Hard Rocks, and the prices are also higher. All in all, though, a cool visit.

Actually a great place, the food is delicious, but the prices are high. The staff is super friendly, but unfortunately not everyone speaks German, which I find a shame. We're not calling a taxi.

I was expecting a cozy café, but I had to wait forever to be noticed, so I can't say anything about the food, unfortunately. And the shop is a complete rip-off—a shame, I was looking forward to it.

We went to eat, I asked if they allowed dogs, they told me yes but they were all rude from the start, bad manners from the waiters too... A day with more than 30 degrees and they don't turn on the air conditioning... Bad taste in my mouth from this Hard Rock.

Much too loud. A small and very expensive menu. Even though it was relatively quiet and there were plenty of free tables, the manager on duty sent us and seven people to the bar. We were with older people who couldn't easily climb onto a bar stool. However, there wasn't enough room at the bar for seven people, so the colleague directed us to a table. We were seated there without any problems... So why not just sit at a table?! The menu has a relatively modest selection compared to other Hard Rock cafes. Plus, you felt a bit rushed to eat.

The Hard Rock Café Hamburg is located right on the Landungsbrücken (landing bridges) and therefore has a very nice view. The service was very attentive, engaging, and enthusiastic. The food was incredibly delicious, and the selection was varied. The only drawback—and a major one for me—was the music. I expect rock music at the Hard Rock Café. There was none at all, just rap and electronic music. This was a real disappointment, as it was also my first visit to a Hard Rock Café.

We were there twice this week, the first time it was OK except for the prices 😁 but it's like that everywhere, but the second time I wanted a mixed salad, the waiter said hmm we only have one with breast fillet and we can leave it out, OK but what came next 😂 iceberg lettuce with a little, four small pieces, hard cheese and croutons that were absolutely old, price 20 euros, one euro was deducted because of the breast fillet 🫣😂😂 I complained but 🧐 nothing, that's it with you 👍

Went there for dinner today after a long time. Service was rather lackluster. The terrace wasn't crowded. The food arrived, but the starter and main course were served together, even though we requested them separately. The nachos weren't crispy, and more than half of the cheese was dry and undercooked. Only the guacamole was tasty and helped liven things up a bit. No one asked for a drink. And after we mentioned the nachos weren't good when paying, we just shrugged our shoulders. Too bad, we're not used to HRC Hamburg like that.

I would always love to go there again.

Pretty ambitious prices, drinks almost outrageous. 😳 Wait time was more than 45 minutes despite a reservation. Ordered additional side dishes, didn't receive them, but were charged. 😡 The music has absolutely nothing to do with hard rock, though. 😖 The food was pretty tasty, though! 😋

The food took a very long time to arrive. My wife's burger wasn't really warm. When it came to paying, we had to say something four times before someone finally came. The tip was correspondingly small; we've never experienced such abysmal service as at this Hard Rock Café.

It's a Hard Rock Cafe. My 27th (different). We were last in Hamburg 5 years ago. Unfortunately, our beloved appetizer platter is no longer available 💔 -The Rock Shop advertises a cap with the German flag and the Hamburg logo on its website. "Not available anywhere in Hamburg (not even online)" Food in a global comparison: 4* Atmosphere in a global comparison: 4* Service in a global comparison: 7* (3 best so far) The staff tried everything to help me get the caps. And when ordering, they arranged something so that we had mixed plates. We paid €70.20 and tipped €10. My 4-year-old son found the service so friendly and the fries so amazing (yes, they were super good) that he said, "We have to go back." See you soon 💪🏻❤️💪🏻

We were on a school trip and to round off the day, we ate at the Hard Rock Cafe. Everyone had a burger and fries, so far so good. The promised soft drink was a glass of sparkling water with ice cubes, a first disappointment. The wait time was abysmal. We were seated at 8 p.m. and had already pre-ordered what we all wanted. The food arrived 50 minutes later, in batches of three, with a break of 1-2 minutes each, a second disappointment. The waiters didn't speak a word of German and spoke to customers in a bored manner, a third disappointment. And last but not least, the music was by no means "hard rock," but pop. Therefore, only 2 stars for the whole experience; I had hoped for more. Edit: We may have been somewhat tense that evening due to previous inconveniences.

If you like it... Three stars because, damn it, they're in Hamburg, Germany, and none of their waiters spoke proper German. That's completely unacceptable, I think. Period.

We were just here for a spontaneous coffee. And because we were interested in the "name." On the roof terrace, the name said it all. There was only one free table by the loudspeaker. The view and the weather balanced out the noise. There were a lot of staff that day, like an anthill. Still, it took several attempts to pay the bill.

Went to many Hard Rock Cafes in Asia and in the US and this was the most disappointing one from all of them. The service is not up to company standards incl. greeting, the food prices and menu are almost the same, but the flavours, presentation, temperature and quality of the dish are very disappointing. You have to ask for everything extra even sauces, incl. the free soft drink refill system isn't promoted at all, which means unless you are familiar with the system, you would pay per drink. Unfortunately, would not go a second time or wouldn't even recommend to a friend.

Unlike 10 years ago, we got a table right away. The food was good, but unfortunately one dish was already cold, hence the deduction. The service was really friendly and attentive. The location at the jetty on the waterfront is cool, but unfortunately it was very hot upstairs, and we could only open one small window. Overall, though, I recommend it as a Hard Rock.

We know many Hard Rock Cafes in Europe and always visit them during our city trips. Therefore, we arrived with high expectations. Yesterday we were bitterly disappointed. Starting with the service staff: no structure in the distribution of tasks, long waits for orders and then for serving. The service staff was poorly trained or even untrained and poorly managed. For example: the cutlery wasn't even provided with the meal and was then thrown onto the table later. The bottle of wine and water was simply placed there, neither opened nor poured. The wine wasn't even offered for tasting. Food: When ordering the fillet, no one asked if it was cooked (the order was taken quickly). The quality and taste of the meat were very, very poor. The presentation of the food on the plates was very poor. Overall, the value for money was very poor. We paid €99 for a bottle of water, a bottle of wine, and two main courses (we couldn't finish them, so we had to leave half). It was worth half at most. Our complaints were also ignored. It's simply a cult favorite! The food was delicious. The prices are quite high. But hey, you don't have to treat yourself! The atmosphere is great and the staff is super friendly.

Catastrophic. Completely overcrowded, and on top of that, they just send you from point A to point B. No service, no help, nothing. We left after being sent upstairs, then downstairs, and then up again. Horrible.

Very Disappointing Experience – Rude and Unprofessional Staff I recently visited Hard Rock Cafe Hamburg with two friends from the USA. We chose this location because my friends were hoping to enjoy the same quality and atmosphere they’re used to at Hard Rock Cafes back home. Unfortunately, the experience was incredibly disappointing. Upon arrival, the hostess directed us to the upstairs area. When we got there, a staff member named Amir told us that everything was fully booked because a large group was expected. However, it was clear this wasn’t true—he and other staff members were just standing around chatting, not preparing for any large group or serving guests. We then returned to the first floor to find a table, only to be told by the host that food is not served downstairs and we must go back upstairs. He then brought us back up and suddenly told us that seating was available. Amir returned to serve us but continued to lie, claiming he didn’t know we planned to eat, among other excuses. The atmosphere was extremely uncomfortable, and due to the rude and dismissive attitude of the staff, we decided to leave. This was by far the worst Hard Rock Cafe experience we’ve had. We’ve visited HRC locations across the world—from Dubai to several in the USA—and have always been treated with professionalism and respect. Hamburg, unfortunately, was the complete opposite. We will not be returning, and I would not recommend this location to others.

The food is delicious, a reservation is essential, and the service could be more frequent for another round of drinks. The exhibits from many of the music industry's biggest names are pretty awesome.

The restaurant for all music lovers and those who want to become one. Lovingly furnished and decorated, and from the roof terrace you have a beautiful view over the port of Hamburg. However, you should reserve a table in advance, or you might just get lucky and get a table spontaneously.

I know the Hard Rock Café from abroad and had high expectations accordingly. The decor is great, and the staff is naturally very well-trained and international. Unfortunately, the food is a big drawback. It's well known that it's not cheap there, but for the reasonable prices, you'd expect the food to taste great. Unfortunately, it absolutely can't compete with, for example, the Hard Rock Café Macau... Be careful, the staff is so well-trained that they'll naturally fulfill every child's wish, which will then be reflected in the bill later... whether it's ketchup or mayo, parents will have to dig deeper into their pockets. ;) Conclusion: You can do it once and then that's it.

Great food, superb cocktails. Customer service is better at many HRCs, meaning the service sometimes leaves something to be desired. It's also strange that most of the staff don't speak German. Otherwise, a good panorama of the Landungsbrücken.

Absolutely disappointing!!! We had burgers and two kids' meals with pizza and burgers. The kids' pizza was a cheap, baked pizza, the burger meat on the Messi Burger was tiny, and the burger bun was ice cold. When ordering, the unfriendly waitress didn't point out that the kids' meal comes with an extra charge for a passion fruit spritzer. As a result, I had to pay almost €2 more for the meal. When we complained about this, we were rudely dismissed.

Food: I'm absolutely disappointed. The burger bun seemed "old" and was very thin, the grill side was very crispy. I usually like it crispy, but only when there's more bun available 😅 I had the burger with the meat alternative. I eventually ate the "meat"; I had no idea what it might be. The fries were outstanding! My girlfriend had a Caesar salad with chicken strips. Here, too, any salad from the supermarket with yogurt dressing would certainly taste just as good. The meat was very good! The croutons also seemed rather old-fashioned. I skipped the food altogether after the croutons. The location is very cool, typical Hard Rock Café 😊 The staff is friendly and accommodating. To sum it up. It's a good place to come for a quick drink, but not for food. Especially not for the money 😅

All in all, a nice place. You're shown to your seat. We just wanted to go to the bar for a beer. One thing that was a little off about it was that the waiter immediately assumed we were only drinking at the bar, so he could simply round up the tip and put it in the tip box. Then he turned around and walked away. That actually upset us, so we didn't leave a tip and demanded the rest of the money back. Stupid, it left a bad impression. We actually wanted something to eat. We asked at the entrance if we could redeem vouchers and eat up on the terrace. The server at the entrance told us that it was possible. When we got upstairs we were told that we could only order drinks there, even though others had ordered food. OK, so only drinks. We showed our vouchers to the waiter, they confirmed them, and when we paid they were taken away. After a while we were suddenly told they were not valid. I had actually received them from Hard Rock Cafe Berlin as compensation for the ages we had to wait to be served (20 minutes) and then another 20 minutes for drinks. We've made it clear to ourselves that we won't go to a Hard Rock Cafe again if we're only going to be disappointed.

We drove for an hour to the restaurant. The music was way too loud, you could hardly hear yourself. We really wanted to eat the ribs but they were already sold out at 5 p.m. on a Saturday. Someone must have drunk too much when ordering. I wouldn't recommend it, it was pure chaos!

Good location for a relaxed beer on the roof terrace... prices are reasonable, a 300ml beer for 4.50, a good burger with fries for around 22 euros... reservations weren't necessary... service was top-notch, nothing to complain about...

We travel all over the world and count on the Hard Rock for a good burger about half way through our trips. We were so pleasantly surprised at just how much better the food and service was at the Hamburg Hard Rock! Probably the best service and drinks we had in the 2 weeks in Germany. The burgers were really good as well. Great location as well, right on the river.

We recently visited the Hard Rock Cafe Hamburg at the Landungsbrücken (landing bridges) and had a fantastic evening. The ambiance is typical Hard Rock: cool rock music, lots of memorabilia on the walls, and a lively atmosphere. The staff was super friendly and attentive, which made the visit even more enjoyable. We opted for the Original Legendary Burger, which was juicy and delicious. It came with crispy fries and a refreshing cocktail. The portions were generous, and we found it to be great value for money. We particularly liked the small rock shop in the entrance area, where you can buy cool souvenirs and T-shirts. Overall, it was a thoroughly enjoyable visit. If you're in Hamburg and want good food in a relaxed atmosphere with a view of the harbor, the Hard Rock Cafe is definitely worth a visit.
