Hard Rock Cafe in Hamburg

The food is delicious, but it's best to reserve a table online in advance.

My wife and children really enjoyed the food, but unfortunately, I didn't think my burger was that good. The waiters were all very friendly and helpful. We thought the food was a bit overpriced, but you pay for the name.

The Hard Rock Café Hamburg is clean. We only had one coffee here, so we can't share a review of the food. The wait at the bar was a bit too long for our taste, despite the low occupancy. Therefore, we deducted one star. The quality of the drinks was good, though. The prices were reasonable for the location (cappuccino around €3.95). The service was very friendly and courteous, even if they weren't the quickest. In conclusion: It's doable. Just be sure to allow some time when ordering. (It depends on the staff.)

The food was sensational, as was the service! There's a lot of history on the walls, which I thought was really great! Unfortunately, one point was deducted for the pop music that played intermittently. I wouldn't have expected Billie Eilish music at the Hard Rock Café, and in my opinion, it doesn't fit, so it loses one star. 🤗 Otherwise, top-notch!

There was no sauce on the hamburger, the meat was burnt, and the soft drinks were watery and filled with ice cubes. The salad didn't taste like a regular salad, and the music was too loud, making it difficult to have a conversation.

Beautiful location with a terrace overlooking the harbor. It was pleasant to eat here on a beautiful sunny day.

I had the baby back ribs and I have to say they were super delicious 😋 The fries were in the fryer for a very, very long time. They were very crispy. In other words, very hard. Unfortunately, they didn't ask for ketchup or mayo, so I had to go to the bar and ask myself. I wanted to buy a shirt in the shop, but unfortunately, size L was no longer available.

3:00 p.m. Sunday afternoon. Dining room mostly empty but set. Asked if we could go to the roof terrace. No, they were completely booked, and the only seats available were at the bar. Mind you, only after asking if we wanted to eat or just drink, to which we replied with "drink." Sorry, guys, I don't believe you. "We're just a restaurant today," I accepted, even though that would be pretty un-groovy for a Hard Rock Cafe. The question suggested we would have gotten a seat if we had eaten. Pretty illogical - don't you think? Drinks = 1/2 hour - it even correlated with your time estimates. Dinner = 2 hours, definitely not. So if you don't like me, or if you're acting like a chef, tell me to my face. This is just annoying.

The prices were rather high-end, and the food was rather mediocre. I had a burger, and it wasn't exactly the yellow from the egg.

Finally visited the legendary Hard Rock Café. It's pleasant to sit on this terrace by the Elbe River. To my surprise, the food had the quality of fast food. There were several misunderstandings with the service.

The food and atmosphere were truly top-notch. Just what you'd expect from a Hard Rock Cafe. The atmosphere was very friendly, and Jan, who served us, deserves special mention. We'll definitely be back on our next visit to Hamburg.

As with all Hard Rock restaurants, the prices are a bit higher, but still perfectly reasonable. The view from the top is great, and the service was relatively quick.

Conversation at the table is almost impossible, as the noise level of the music (not really rock music...) drowns out everything else. This is even the case on the roof terrace. The food is good, but the prices are over the top. You're clearly paying for the name and the location by the harbor. Unfortunately, the waitress wasn't familiar with the menu and couldn't answer questions about the dishes. We'll be back again, probably not.

We went there today, we didn’t wait at all, we are received immediately and saw all three floors of the restaurant. The last floor has a beautiful view of Harbour, but we decided to stay at the main hall because of it’s rock ‘n’ roll vibe. Ali was so helpful for everything, he understood what we wanted actually he helped two customers who didn’t know what they wanted :) Thank you Ali, you left the restaurant, satisfied as happy and so many pictures of the objects from real stars 🎸🎸

Our server was very nice and took our order right away. The food was delicious. And the atmosphere was great.

It was busy and quite crowded. The staff were really friendly and accommodating. The food was good, but a bit expensive. With the Hamburg Card (20% discount), it was okay. There weren't any real eye-catchers (music equipment, etc.).

In keeping with the chain's well-known customs, you'll find the typical decor featuring collectibles from famous musicians. The food is very tasty, but the portion sizes are small, assuming you have a "good appetite." But you won't go hungry. 😉 The prices aren't cheap, but they're definitely within the "normal" range for the area. There's an elevator.

We really like the manager, or assistant manager? I don't remember, but he was very funny and very aware of our needs the entire time. He asked us if we want ice- for context, we are Americans and no one had asked us that before at a restaurant here in Germany, which is fine, it was just a very kind gesture of awareness. He also asked about potential food allergies and when we said someone in our party had a shellfish allergy he informed us that it was cooked on a separate grill. Over all 10/10 service.

The service was okay. Unfortunately, I find the food prices overpriced.

I'm rating it now because we've been there several times when we were in Hamburg. Service gets a rating of 6. The wait to order takes forever, and the drinks and food also take forever to be served. On our current visit, we were simply forgotten even though it wasn't busy. We left after 30 minutes. We sat upstairs on the outdoor terrace, as always.

Service very friendly and helpful. Toilet clean. Food very, very bad. The food arrived cold. The service resolved the situation confidently and replaced the food. The second one wasn't hot either, but rather cold. Pizza wasn't cooked through. The currywurst was inedible. The salad was very small and the ice cream was so quality that nobody wanted to eat it. I don't usually want to give a bad review, but I was very annoyed here to have to pay more than 50 euros for nothing. I'd rather get a speed camera ticket, then I'll know why and what for. It's a shame, because the service was good and it was my first visit here and my first time in Hamburg. I would be pleased to hear from the owner. See you tomorrow in Hamburg.

With a view of Hamburg's beautiful harbor, this restaurant is a must-visit in my opinion. Very friendly service, the famously good food and drinks, and good music invite you to linger. If you're looking for more than just fish sandwiches and the like during your visit to Hamburg, you should stop by here.

Prices are above average, but it still doesn't reach the quality of other US diners. Portion sizes are also rather small compared to the price. According to opening hours, they say it's open until midnight on Saturdays, but after 11:30 p.m., they won't even let you in for a last drink. Overall, it doesn't compare to other locations like Copenhagen or Amsterdam, which is a shame.

The location is fantastic, especially if you get a seat by the window or even outside. We had a super friendly server. The food is good, but a bit too greasy for me personally. The prices are also quite high.

Well, what can I say? The chicken wings weren't that great. Quite dry, and the blue cheese sauce was also quite flavorless. The cheese was just held over the sauce for a moment.

Overall, lots of seating. With a stunning view of the harbor and the philharmonic. Very friendly service. Perfect food. We also got an espresso macchiato and a flat white, even though these coffees were not on the menu.

The view from the roof terrace is unique and hard to beat. I found the overall ambiance very nice. The food was okay. The Bullette was good, but I've had better burgers. I found the prices quite high overall, but a nice view just costs more... The service was very courteous and friendly. We came without a reservation and were seated immediately. I did find it a bit annoying, however, that there doesn't seem to be a smoking ban on the roof terrace, so we were happily smoked while eating. Just a thought: If there are two separate roof terraces, then one could be non-smoking...

The waitress, "Dominika," wasn't willing to give children's meals to adults. Furthermore, a meal was booked that we didn't order. They were focused on making money, not on the customer. It's a shame. I'm not used to this kind of thing, as I've been to Hard Rock Cafes all over the world.

We've now visited Hard Rock restaurants in several European and German cities. The service was always super friendly. The ambiance on the roof terrace at Hamburg's harbor, with its view, is, of course, fantastic. The burgers, however, were the smallest we've had so far and not that great. They also skimped on the fries. What a shame 🤷‍♀️

What works in Cologne doesn't work in Hamburg. Now explain to me why I can get any burger on the menu vegetarian in Cologne, but not in Hamburg. They explain that because they can't charge for it. I'd say the Cologne burgers' capabilities exceed those of Hamburg burgers...

I was so excited to finally visit the Hard Rock Cafe. We received a very friendly welcome at the entrance. When we sat down at a table on the rooftop, we were still feeling confident. Several waiters repeatedly walked past us without noticing us. The most outrageous thing was when guests sat down at our next table, and the waitress who had ignored us immediately brought us a menu and took their orders shortly after. Conclusion: The atmosphere is great, but unfortunately, for me, the staff completely failed in terms of hospitality.

Service was very friendly and pleasantly relaxed. The fries were a bit oversalted and lacked a bit of sauce. The restrooms had a bit of a smell.

The waiter was super nice, but there were some minor communication issues. These were resolved quickly, though :)! The food is relatively expensive. It wasn't particularly tasty today, though! It could have been much better. It was also annoying that they promised us two free dips and charged us anyway. All in all, not worth the money. Over €5 for a glass of Coke with 10 ice cubes (despite requesting no ice cubes) is pretty steep for such a small glass.

Worth a visit just for the prime location by the harbor! Other than that, the cocktails are delicious. I can't comment on the food. The staff is friendly.

I can't recommend the Hard Rock Cafe because the food is so damn expensive that I'd rather go to Bobby's Bürger. I hate Spandau.

Unfortunately, I have to give a negative review here. We were immediately assigned a seat on the roof terrace, but then no one bothered us anymore. Only when I asked at the bar who was in charge did someone finally come over, and it seemed like several people at the neighboring tables were having the same experience. The service staff seemed a bit disorganized. So I just ordered a drink.

For the first time in 25 years, we refused to buy T-shirts despite having the opportunity, as we couldn't eat or drink either. Our attempt to make a reservation for five people was rejected, and two hours later, we were forbidden to dine inside the restaurant. We were only given a cramped rooftop spot in the blazing sun, which was too small for our needs. The reason: the lack of staff can certainly be solved if they are paid fairly. The young lady at the entrance is to be pitied, because watching all the guests move on to Block Bräu and express their dissatisfaction is exhausting. The colleague with a higher position is in the air-conditioned dining room on the first floor, where guests are not admitted; we couldn't verify his explanation. The slogan lost due to this behavior would at least be wearable by two more people on the staff. It's a shame for us, as we have T-shirts and caps from Europe, Latin America, and Africa – Hamburg will be missed. A shame.

This location is not as personalized as others. Still, the roof cafe is to be appreciated.

In a red brick building, accessed on the street side, not the water side. Took elevator to rooftop which has nice views. Burger was good, but not jaw-breakingly big like the photos. Chips were very nice. Gluten free bun was like a normal bun. Enjoyed the music. Gift shop is separate - back out the front door & turn left. There is also a Hard Rock gift shop behind the train station, Hamburg Hbf.

We were on the rooftop terrace in beautiful weather, were assigned a table, and then were ignored. Even though we reported to the staff, no one came to our table, even though it wasn't overly busy. I've never experienced anything like that at a Hard Rock Cafe in over 40 years. We left without being served. What a shame!

Absolutely fantastic view from the terrace, the staff were excellent and very helpful. Everything looked and smelled delicious. The cocktail was not only tasty but also beautifully presented, and the "Diesel" beer was very tasty. The value for money was good. It was great inside, with lots to explore, and the shop was also fantastic.

Hey, We were there on August 8th. We ordered a burger with fries. A taste experience, even the fries with mayo were simply amazing. Very friendly staff, great place with a view of the harbor. Worth a visit. Will be back

Hard Rock Cafe with first-class service and great burgers.

Unfortunately, it's also just a chain restaurant. While the menu promises gluten-free options, with the Caesar salad, that meant leaving half of the plate (without replacement). Considering the price for a salad is over €20, that's a bit of a shame...

Dogs are even allowed here, and they offer dog menus. In other HRCs, dogs are usually not allowed.

Booking Skip the Line is a complete scam. You still have to wait or you don't get anything faster. Skip the Line advertises VIP...but you don't notice it!!!! Service leaves a lot to be desired. We waited 20 minutes before we were even asked what we wanted to drink. The ambiance and food were very delicious. Filling the entire glass with ice, so that almost no Coke could fit in, is also very questionable. The second sip already tasted watery. With desserts, no one asks what toppings you want...even though they advertise the whole package. It was simply presented to us without any care, and we felt like we were being ripped off. And at a price of 130 euros, I expect appropriate service.

We were guests at the Hard Rock Cafe Hamburg for lunch with an international Lions youth group. From the delicious selection, we enjoyed a cheeseburger with various sauces and a Caesar salad with chicken strips, romaine lettuce, shaved Parmesan cheese, and croutons.

The burgers were really great, the fries were amazing, but the plate was a bit empty, and you could have expected a bit more. The service is terrible; no one understands what you want. And when you order a main course, soft drinks are always refilled for free (which only happened once with us), and our son wanted water instead of Fanta, and we had to pay extra for it because it's a different soft drink than Fanta... I think that's stupid! They used to put mustard and ketchup on the table, which isn't the case here either.... Overall, it's worth a visit, but I've been to much better Hard Rocks!

A charming place, a real museum like all the others, but really pleasant with a rooftop offering a breathtaking view of the port and the unmissable Elbphilharmonie Hamburg. You can taste excellent dishes there and you can always find a souvenir shop in the most charming district of Saint Pauli. Thank you very much and bravo 😊

My 12th visit to the Hard Rock Cafe was also a delight. And for our granddaughter, it was an experience, plus great food. Of course, the little gift also deserves a place of honor. Service and friendly staff were always a given. Thank you so much!

Well...when I'm sitting here at 8:25 PM and Lady Gaga's Abracadabra is playing, the Hard Rock Cafe isn't living up to its name anymore - it's not just about the good burgers... Too bad, they're not coming anymore!
