HANS IM GLÜCK - NÜRNBERG Altstadt in Nürnberg

I had made a reservation for 5 p.m. on Saturday just to be safe. But there was more than enough space, and we were picked up very quickly from the entrance and taken to a cozy little cabin that offered a touch of privacy. The service was very quick, after giving us plenty of time to browse the menu. I highly recommend the Zeitgeist Burger to anyone who wants to try a vegan chicken alternative. I've rarely eaten such a delicious burger. The food arrived super quickly, so the kitchen is really on the ball. Big praise to the team at Hans im Glück. We'd love to come back.

The ambience and flair don't come across. We know 2 other branches (Berlin and Erfurt) that convey much more and are much more personal. The staff here was rather superficial, they almost ran us over (without apologizing) and we had to wait at the entrance for some time. Not worth visiting again.

This restaurant offers tasty, varied burgers with options for breads and meats. Some vegan options are also offered. I can only recommend the location for dates, family and meetings with friends. The staff is courteous, warm and attentive. One of my absolute favorites besides the food is the decor and design of the restaurant. The birch trunks create a pleasant and relaxing atmosphere. You don't feel like you're being watched or restricted and you can make yourself comfortable in the swings and the various levels and seating niches as you feel comfortable. I'm in Nuremberg very often and I always catch myself on the way to Hans in Glück. ;)

I have already visited Hans im Glück several times. The food is really excellent and the staff is always very friendly. However, there is one point that bothers me: Despite having a reservation, for example at 7 p.m., I often arrive shortly beforehand and find a long queue in which there are also other guests who have apparently also reserved for that time. So, despite having a reservation, I'm standing outside in the cold and have to wait. In the last few cases we were only brought to our table about 30 minutes late. I find this organization to be impractical. In my opinion, guests without a reservation should stay outside initially, because the point of a reservation is to avoid waiting times. Unfortunately, this works better with the local competition.

No, not a recommendation if you know fiveguys or Burgermeister. Nice atmosphere but burgers salty, dry. Sweet potato fries like at edeka out of the bag and teaching people. Wir haben bestimmt mehr als 5 Minuten am Eingang gewartet während einige Bedienungen an uns vorbei gelaufen sind. Haben uns dann an einen Tisch gesetzt der nicht reserviert war. Nach dem Essen kam der vermeintliche Servicechef und hat uns gefragt wer uns den Tisch zugewiesen hat. Haben ihm erklärt wir haben uns selber hingesetzt. Er meinte dann wir sollen gehen der Tisch wäre reserviert und er hätte andere Sachen zu erledigen als die Leute die auf einen Tisch warten zu bedienen. Sorry aber dann fehlt es an der Organisation oder am Personal. Absolut unfreundlich.

Die Abhandlung ist eine bodenlose Frechheit, trotz Reservierung für 5 Personen, bekommt man einen Tisch, an welchem maximal 3 Personen normal essen können. Bei der Monierung wird man zwar umgesetzt, jedoch an einen Tisch der gleichen Größe. Die Teller auf dem Tisch zu haben beim Essen mit 5 Personen, wenn man noch Beilagen wie Salat oder Pommes hat, ist NICHT machbar. Ein angenehmes Essen sieht defacto anders aus, einen der beiden Teller beim Essen in der Hand zu halten, weil er auf dem Tisch nicht mehr platziert werden kann, ist schon mehr als eine Zumutung. Letztendlich kommt auch noch das Essen eiskalt, weil das Personal überfordert ist und wird dann lediglich wohl in der Micro wieder erwärmt, ein absolutes no go. Ein entspannter Abend sieht tatsächlich anders aus, keineswegs empfehlenswert ☹️.

The waitress wanted to offer me a menu that would have resulted in me paying more money because of my choice of dishes. When it came to the ambience, I found the idea of ​​printing the toilet address in dialect charming, but the topic was completely missed and instead of a Franconian/Nuremberg dialect, a Bavarian dialect was used, which was insulting to a Franconian. However, the burger tasted good considering the circumstances. However, I won't come back.

Even the first impression from the entrance makes you want to go in. The room is very creatively decorated with birch trunks and some seats in the form of wooden swings. The menu has a large selection of delicious dishes for both the little and the really hungry - all with fairytale names. The waitresses are on point. Because we only had a short time on our first visit shortly before an event, we quickly gave the wheat we had ordered and, without asking, a free glass of water for the second person. We had a delicious meal on our second visit after the event. “Supper” is the menu with a side dish and cocktail. The “Wohltat” salad, the sweet potato fries and also the “Hans im Glück Burger” are highly recommended. The “Goldregen” cocktail was also a dream.

Unfortunately a very disappointing experience. If you don't have a reservation, you'll only get a small, uncomfortable seat in the corner - even if there are many tables available. When politely asked whether a table change would be possible, there was only a grim and unfriendly answer. This makes you feel unwelcome as a guest. It's a shame, because the restaurant actually has potential.

We ordered burgers for Sunday evening - hours in advance at the agreed delivery time. Food came via Lieferando, super on time, BUT the wrong food arrived (unfortunately it was absolutely inedible for us). We found out from the driver that the bartender had mixed up the bags. In itself a solvable problem, BUT Hans im Glück couldn't be reached by phone, so a message was immediately answered and the only thing that came through Lieferando was a refund and a sorry voucher but must be redeemed within a week. Orders were no longer possible at Hans im Glück - great on Sunday evening. "Thank you" for the "super" customer service :D

I like Hans in Gluck, but not here, there is a coworker with black hair and a beard and he’s been disrespectful twice.

Today we were there and wanted to redeem our gourmet block, but instead the boss called me “unfriendly”. We showed the gourmet block right at the entrance and were told we could use it after the same lady at the reception had taken our order , we unknowingly ordered menus (a burger + drink), after the drinks came she was shocked to see the gourmet block, we had ordered menus and therefore you couldn't redeem the gourmet block, she had to Consult with the boss. After a few minutes our cold burger arrived and then the boss. He explained to us that we had ordered menus and we couldn't redeem them, so I kindly pointed out that we hadn't ordered a menu and were now getting a hot drink that we didn't want, of course at an additional cost. After explaining our point of view, I was actually allowed to hear that I was “unfriendly”! Very unprofessional and not concerned about the guest & that as a boss!

Positive: Interesting atmosphere Negative: The food; Ordered 4 burgers, 2 warm and 2 cold. When ordering, one burger was ordered as well done, two medium and one as rare. When the burgers came, they were all completely “well done”, meaning they were fried. When we complained about this, we heard: The meat is only available in one version, they can't do it any other way. ?????? The fact is: if we had gotten the information beforehand, we would have gone to a real burger shop. Frozen patties and a grill street, charging 15 euros for that, no thanks.

Fairly basic burger, nothing special. Service is ok but maybe a bit slow. Quite expensive for what it is really. They used to do gluten free buns in this chain but not anymore (or at least not at this one).

Food was good (next time I'll have beef burger again (the chicken was ok but since the meat was in one piece and not like minced meat, it wasn't so easy to chew). Fries were good and plentiful. A place not exactly typical, but in a convenient location (we stayed at the ibis next door) full of seats, very kind staff, who also speak English, varied menu with excellent. Choice of burgers, chips, side dishes in general and cocktails, the beers are also good. Average prices, excellent sandwiches and fast service, recommended for those who want a change of food during a stay in Nuremberg.

It explicitly stated on their own website: Opening on New Year's Day at 12:00 p.m. When we stood in front of the door shortly after 12:00, it said it opened at 3:00 p.m. This is how you scare away your customers!!!

Ordered food from Hans im Glück via Uber Eats. The quality was an absolute disaster. I had a salad, the chicken had zero seasoning, the salad was already brown, the rösti was cold and with hair. There was also a hair in the salad. It should be said that it was 2 hours late, the food was completely cold and soggy. After being there over 25 TIMES!!!!! I called and wasn't picked up, which is an absolute disgrace, and I didn't feel like it anymore. It's a shame that you can't deduct 5 stars and 0 stars isn't possible either, so unfortunately something had to be distributed. Was a fan until now, but now you've definitely lost me as a customer for an indefinite period of time. Update December 31, 2024 (1 day later) I finally managed to get in touch with Hans im Glück and was handed over to the boss personally. He dealt with my complaint extremely competently, was very friendly and also arranged for a refund. Because of yesterday's inconvenience, only 2 stars in the overall rating.
