Hans im Glück in München

We were there today at lunchtime. There were about 12 guests and at least three servers in the restaurant. We had to wait a long time before anyone showed us to a table. After we'd decided on a table, the ordering process took a very long time. We politely asked several times if we could order. The last time, we were told, "I'll be right with you." But even after that, nothing happened for another ten minutes. Instead, we saw the server standing at the bar, chatting with the bartender for a while. After such a long wait (over 30 minutes), we finally gave up and left without a word to eat at another burger chain near Marienplatz. I generally don't like writing negative reviews, but this unfortunately wasn't an isolated incident. Furthermore, the restaurant wasn't heated, and many guests kept their jackets on while eating. For that reason, I can only give one star for the ambiance. Overall, I got the impression that guests aren't really welcome here.

Unfortunately, the staff at this location seemed a bit overwhelmed. We waited about twenty minutes for our drinks. Then another half hour for our food, even though we ordered everything together. Not a problem, except that I'm used to better service at other branches. At least they apologized for the wait for the drinks, which I found very sincere and appreciated. The food was as usual – you know one, you know them all. So, delicious. Unfortunately, we also had to wait to pay and then went to the counter ourselves. It also seemed like the payment machine was new to the staff.

I can only rate the cocktails and they were great...happy hour!!!

It was really great there and incredibly tasty. The young waitress was super nice and even took care of our dog by bringing him water.

We ate there last night. Maybe it was a bad day, but it was very disappointing. Despite having a reservation, it took 18 minutes to get a table. Then it took another 20 minutes before we could even order a drink, and it took a long time again for the food to arrive. The food was delicious, but we asked for the bill three times, and that was simply poor service. We were there for a total of two hours, and that was certainly not what was intended. There was no soap or toilet paper in the restroom.

We have to pay right away before we see what we've received. What kind of customer appreciation is that? Very unfriendly and rude. And then €1 for the toilet??

We waited more than 15 minutes and during that time absolutely no one even tried to serve us.

Lisa, the girl who took our order, provided extremely friendly and high-quality service. She's the soul of this place.

Unfortunately, the menu is different during Oktoberfest. Therefore, the food isn't as usual. Only white bread for the burgers, and only one vegan burger. No sweet potato fries. Each burger costs €18.50.

Friendly staff, good atmosphere like in all branches, as is the food. Simply top-notch.

The food was delicious. The ambiance was great too. The service (especially the bartender) deserved many more stars than the five here. He was the only one in charge of drinks on a Saturday night and didn't let it get to him! Kudos!

The food was delicious, the service great, the quality is just as expected, but the price is getting higher and higher and the portions smaller and smaller. For once, there were filled salad bowls here, not just ones covered in water, and at €16.90, I'm starting to find it outrageous.

Since negative comments are deleted or not posted at all, please read my comment as the opposite: A truly great place. A bunch of hip waiters – and they all work hard. You get everything right away. Excellent burgers, breathtaking cocktails. Washing your hands with soap is possible, of course, and drying them is also possible. No waiting time.

Waiting 70 minutes for food, only to get frozen food—that's what this store is capable of. It's always been a disaster here at Goetheplatz, but today it's unbeatable. In other stores: "How can we make this right?" Here: "Then you never have to come back." We will. 0 stars is unfortunately too much here—terrible management!

Unfortunately, it doesn't get 5 stars because the wait for the food was too long, and the service, while friendly, was slow and inattentive. It's a shame it was different for us; we ate here on vacation.

The churros were nothing, drenched in fat, the insides completely devoid of fat. The rest was good.

I come here often to eat. The burgers and bowls are very good. Everything is served hot, and every special request is fulfilled. The ambiance has that typical Hans im Glück feeling. You can also find a quiet spot you want here. Compared to many other restaurants, you're always treated friendly and served professionally here.

Burger and fries of decent quality. However, I asked for the burger without egg, there was an egg... I ordered two sauces, there was only one... It would be good to read the orders correctly.

The food is always great here. Having been a fan of this place for many years, we were always satisfied. The poor rating is due to the lady at the counter. She does not how to take orders. On top of that she was demanding tip for a takeaway order.

It's particularly worth mentioning that Hans im Glück offers a wide selection of vegetarian and vegan options alongside various meat burgers. You can also choose your preferred bun. The "breadless" option is also a good choice; here, meat or an alternative patty and the other burger ingredients are served without a bun, but with a bit more salad. If you like, you can add your own toppings to your burger. As for drinks, there's a wide selection of refreshing homemade lemonades, as well as soft drinks. The atmosphere in the restaurant is relaxed; you can sit comfortably together and have a casual conversation.

I go to the restaurant hungry; not every table is occupied. And yet I'm seated at a dirty table. Sorry, if I'm going to a burger restaurant in the "higher price segment," the least I could do is be seated at a table without empty bottles from the previous customer. 0/5 stars. A lukewarm burger at outrageous prices. 1 burger + fries + 2 beers = 28 euros! Service is just mediocre. Hygiene is underplayed, I had a really disgusting experience, but apparently I'm not allowed to publish it because my original review was blocked.

In my opinion, too expensive for what you get. There are now much nicer and cozier burger shops in Munich with a better price-performance ratio.

I ordered two burgers with beef patties through Uber Eats. I was so hungry but I couldn't manage to eat the burgers. After I gradually dismantled the contents (multigrain rolls, sauce, lettuce, hay milk cheese, tomatoes), I realized that the meat was incredibly bad. It's not spoiled, it's just the most disgusting quality and I swear it's so unbelievably bad that I wouldn't eat it if I could eat there for free for the rest of my life.

No crispy fries, everything seemed like it had been reheated in the microwave. Lemonade OK.

Soooo sad! We used to love eating here, but the service and quality have declined so much. Today we ordered through Lieferando and after 45 minutes they hadn't even started preparing the food. Really sad. Will not eat/order here again.

We really liked the atmosphere. The boss and the waitresses were super friendly and accommodating. The burgers and the side dishes were very tasty, we didn't like the cheesecake that much, but we liked the chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream even more. There weren't any long waiting times either.

Found this on our last day in my Munich and wish we had found it on our first. Great service great burgers and great atmosphere. Definitely recommend!

After the cinema a citizen's meal. Unfortunately not so great. The service was a bit overwhelmed. I wasn't that hungry after the cinema and ate 1/4-1/2 of my citizen. I wanted the citizen to be wrapped up. Unfortunately that didn't work and the food was thrown away. The only thing the young lady said was oh, I'm sorry. I think it's a shame that something like this still happens today. There was also no discount or anything else offered. Too bad. I won't go there again after the cinema.

I got a take away from here. The burger was very tasty. Definitely recommend. Pick up was very quick. The burger cost 11.90€ without fries or any extra sauces. I'm happy with the vegetarian/vegan options being given although I wish that were cheaper than meat options.

I went there with friends on my birthday. We got a very nice table in a quiet corner and the waitress was very friendly and attentive. She looked after us very well and kept coming by to take drink orders. For my birthday I got a chocolate cake on the house, which I wasn't expecting. I was really happy about that. We had some food before the film. Luckily we had reserved because there were quite a few visitors there. The food came very quickly and there was also a dessert from the cinema, winter popcorn👌

Caramel layered the cheesecake. The juice and the spritzer were also served with ice at below 6°C. A restaurateur should know "if it's cold then it's tasteless". In summer maybe. desirable, but extremely questionable in winter when the outside temperature is 0°. Well the service was friendly and attentive. Went in, waited to be seated, finally was seated. No waitress for 10 mins. Unseated myself and left. Complained to the barman on the way out and he just shrugged his shoulders and did not care.

I don't know if it was because of the language but I didn't like the attention, seriously what a disappointment, well that day was quite a busy day because of the local party, I imagine that's why.

I ate a delicious hamburger, with a liter of beer and fries. Not cheap but it was definitely tasty and also fast service and nice atmosphere

The food is clearly made with frozen products. The burger bun was no longer the freshest and the fries were okay. Unfortunately it took a long time for the food to arrive and even when we wanted the bill we were kept waiting. So before I go out to eat at Hans im Glück I would look for an alternative. However, if there is nothing else or you want to eat something familiar, you are welcome to sit there.

Very nice staff. In combination with a subsequent visit to the cinema. There were two of us each with a “Last Supper”. Food came quickly, no long wait. The cocktails can use a little less ice, but a little more alcohol. Otherwise everything was very good. Gladly again.

Der Service war zügig und sehr freundlich. Das Essen kam schnell und war von guter Qualität. Der Burger war saftig und frisch und die Pommes waren knusprig. Die Saucen am Tisch sind sehr passend und lecker.

Meine Rezension richtet sich allgemein an jeden Hans im Glück. Dieses Restaurant ist leider nicht mehr das, was es vielleicht mal vor mehreren Jahren war. Meiner Meinung nach sind die Burger zu teuer für das was sie sind, man kann im Farbverlauf der Soßen problemlos erkennen, dass diese einfach mit alten aufgeschüttet werden, die Drinks sind für mein Empfinden schwach gemacht und mit zu viel Eis serviert, worüber ein adrettes Minzblatt mit Puderzucker oder eine Orangenscheibe hinwegtäuschen soll. Meiner Meinung nach hält sich Hans im Glück nur noch durch zwei Aspekte über Wasser. Der erste wäre der Name, welcher mit guten Burgern und schönem Ambiente in Verbindung gebracht wird. Der zweite ist von psychologischer Natur. Einerseits ist es ein bekannter Fakt, dass nur attraktive Menschen eingestellt werden, was dazu führt, dass mehr bestellt wird, außerdem ist das Lokal sehr eng und meist auch sehr voll, dies fällt jedoch nicht auf, da taktisch intelligent die berühmten Birkenstämme platziert wurden und somit darüber hinwegtäuschen.
