Goldenes Schiff in Jena

Extremely unfriendly owner (and chef) who cursed me in the worst possible way when I politely asked him to briefly fry the schnitzel, which was still raw inside. The fries weren't crispy, but rather very floury and limp. The side salad came without dressing. I ordered still water and got sparkling water. There was no napkin either. In the end, he threw me out! He reacted just as unfriendly a few weeks ago when I asked him on the phone about the lunch special. He said he didn't have time and simply hung up. I'm not used to being treated like that as a guest. He won't see me again, and I'll tell anyone who wants to know or doesn't want to know.

I happened to be driving by, stopped, and had lunch. Thuringian food, very tasty. It's an old restaurant, so time has stood still, but the food came quickly (during the week) and was hearty and delicious.

Completely overwhelmed staff with 4 guests in the dining room for lunch. Even if the staff had their own celebration that day (birthday), it is not appropriate to let the guests sit in the guest room as ordered and not be picked up. So underground that we got the "promotion" by paying for the drinks at the bar! broke off and went hiking hungry.

We were just at the Golden Ship in Jena. Food and people really good. Very appealing, sufficient and simply delicious. Went there on a recommendation and are happy to pass it on.

Delicious home-made Thuringian food, which you can see from the fact that the menu is short. Even though the restaurant was booked for a closed event, we were still able to get a seat. We've been there twice and will be back.

A cozy inn with a small staff, an open garden, and a restaurant. The restaurant is ancient (over 90 years old); even Goethe was here (or wasn't)!!! 🤗😛. The food is good, and the drinks are still reasonably priced.

Super delicious food for a great price. Two people paid €24 – each a meal and a drink. Excellent value for money. You can taste the home-cooked food here...just like you'd expect at home. Plenty of free parking is available. The waitress was very friendly. The restaurant is dated, but tidy and cozy. It's a great place to stop for a bite to eat.

Today we called at 10:00 a.m. to book a table for 8 people. Even though the restaurant was almost fully booked, we were allowed to stop by. We already knew their restaurant, but our 6 friends were here for the first time. We were served quickly and friendly, everyone enjoyed the food excellently and our friends said they would like to come here again. It tastes like home!! A big thank you from eight satisfied guests to the boss and his team

We had a very nice class reunion on October 5th, 2024 East Algic backdrop, but that didn't bother anyone. There was delicious cake that I ordered and the food was very well received by everyone, the service worked well so there was nothing to complain about. I would like to be right for it thank you very much.

If you want to experience Thuringian cuisine in a Thuringian inn, this is the right place for you. Good old-fashioned home cooking with no frills at fair prices. We will be back!

Very tasty food at reasonable prices, no waiting times and a friendly host. The pub is quaint, but has charm. The map is clear, but is completely fine. Since it is only a small restaurant, it is advisable to call ahead.

Despite our reservation being cancelled, we were able to have a delicious lunch.

Super rustic, owner-run (and also self-cooking!) typical village gastronomy, which has been preserved in family tradition for over 90 years, with Thuringian dishes prepared fresh every day... Thuringian dumplings with roulade, Thuringian grilled sausage with sauerkraut, boiled beef, mustard, wild brawn. Mutzbraten and and and... Delicious, delicious... Super cozy outside in the garden... The boss was really friendly and accommodating... The prices are sensationally cheap for large portions! We will come back, absolutely recommended! You have to see and eat there!

Eine gute alte Wirtschaft mit scharm Gutes Essen die Ruollade war ein Gedicht Die Wirtschaft ist Inhaber geführt der kocht, bedient und macht die Theke Es ist sehr gemütlich und die Kosten für essen und trinken sind im niedrigen bereich. Wenn ich wieder nach Jena komme besuche ich das Goldene Schiff wieder

Essen war mega lecker👌🏻aufjedenfall zu empfehlen, gibt zwar nicht viel zur Auswahl aber trotzdem richtig gut. Gastraum urig, Punkt Abzug gibt's bei Service denn leider ist der gute Mann alleine deswegen musste man auf Getränke und Rechnung bisschen warten.

Wir waren gestern Abend bei einem ganz vorzüglichen Martinsgansessen. Gerne wieder 👍

Netter, etwas rustikaler Service, der bei zunehmendem Kontakt auftaute. Die Roulade war okay, aber keine Empfehlung für die Küche.

Wir hatten Roulade mit Klößen und Rotkohl (etwas säuerlich, naja macht jeder etwas anders). Es hat geschmeckt. Schade war, dass das Bier angestanden und schal schmeckte

Sehr schöne Gastwirtschaft mit netten Wirtsleuten. Das Essen alles handgemacht. Kein Friteusenschnitzel, sondern noch richtig aus der Pfanne. Ambiente ist spitze, es fühlt sich sehr heimelisch an. Urig und echt!

Uriger Gasthof wie früher. Der Wirt als Alleinunterhalter ist spitze. Das Essen ist reichlich, schmackhaft und unheimlich preiswert. Der Ort wird gemerkt.

Urige alte Wirtschaft. Essen war sehr lecker und man wird definitiv satt 🙂 Der Wirt ist noch Wirt und sehr menschlich und freundlich.
