Gaststätte Plückers in Bamberg

Visited Friday two weeks ago. The service was very friendly, even though the server only started their apprenticeship in September. Everything was perfect and they fulfilled our wishes. The food was delivered promptly, even though the restaurant was full. We were particularly impressed by the lovely couch, which we were even able to use for over an hour after our dinner. We were also served a complimentary liqueur as a parting gift. We'll gladly come back.

A very pleasant stay, delicious food, great and friendly service!

Absolutely the worst restaurant experience in a long time, not recommended...! The restaurant wasn't even half full, and yet we waited over an hour for the food. The waitress was repeatedly informed that the food was still missing. Service was abysmal, with no information that it would take a little longer, no apology or explanation, or anything like that. Some of the food was very heavily seasoned (one could almost call it oversalted), some of it cold, and some of it came with different side dishes than those listed on the menu (Brussels sprouts instead of seasonal Hokkaido). Upon request, only half of the side dishes were served (only 2 portions instead of 4). The child's meal was completely forgotten...

The food was delicious. Unfortunately, the food was very delayed in arriving at the table, which shouldn't happen at this price point. The waiters weren't familiar with the wines on the menu, even though we were in a wine-producing region. However, they were very friendly and attentive.

We ordered a cheeseburger and a bacon burger and loved everything. The service was very friendly, and our dog was lovingly looked after.

The salad was absolutely delicious. It was an excellent and memorable meal for our last dinner of the trip. The staff were incredibly friendly. It seemed like there were a lot of regular customers, indicating that this place is beloved by locals. Thank you. ❤️

A truly beautiful restaurant, very inviting both inside and out. Located directly next to the conference hotel. The service is extremely friendly and attentive. The meal on the first evening: a beer garden dish, three grilled sausages in three pretzel sticks, mustard, and a lettuce leaf – nothing special, but OK. The second course was a nice salad with raspberry dressing – highly recommended. Second evening's menu: a snack plate with very tasty pickled vegetables – highly recommended. Main course: a disaster: completely dried out, inedible except for the rind, served with overcooked sauerkraut with a tasteless caraway sauce. The dumplings were OK. Conclusion: a dish presented without much love or enthusiasm. Dessert: Chocolate and apple cake from a test tube, warm but boring. Overall, the food itself seemed carelessly cooked, even though it was served on beautiful dishes. Plus point: Our criticism of the main course was handled very professionally, and a replacement was offered, which we didn't take advantage of. There was then a free drink.

We went there for the second time last week to give it another try, but were sadly completely disappointed. The value for money is absolutely terrible! €20 for a ready-made tarte flambée with nothing fresh, not even the onions. The ambiance is rustic, and it still smells like a factory. Unfortunately, I absolutely cannot recommend it!👎🏼

The restaurant is directly connected to the hotel and underground car park via the conference area.

We had a good first evening in Bamburg, including dinner at Pluckers. We were with a group, and pre-ordered dinner. Service was good! Nice menu, great selection of Bavarian-style cuisine. We shared the Hunter’s Pot and Pork shoulder, both were very good! Decent wine and beer list. We tried both still and sparkling whites… good stuff! Typical German-Bavarian atmosphere, decor, surroundings. Comfortable! Recommend Pluckers for any meal!

On May 24, 2025, four of us had dinner at Plückers. Since we had already looked at the menu beforehand, we were able to order directly after the drinks were served. Two appetizer salads, two soups, and four different main courses. The soups and salads were served promptly, followed immediately by two of the main courses. The other two main courses were served after 110 minutes and repeated requests. Not even an apology. The fish was well prepared, but the side dishes left a lot to be desired. The rice was inedible (totally watery, overcooked) and the rest of the side dishes were unseasoned. The shoulder of pork was bone dry and only edible with the sauce. It would also be better to keep quiet about the side dishes. When I paid, I was discreetly informed that guests always leave a tip. I declined this and clearly explained the reasons. Understanding looks different, and with difficulty, a half-hearted apology was heard. I will never enter this house again!

Although a little off the beaten track from the old town, this is a wonderful beer garden with sunshine until sunset. The peace and quiet here is simply wonderful. Excellent food, beer in 2 minutes, 5* plus service. It's nice to have discovered you.

Very nice restaurant with very friendly service. We felt very comfortable. The food tasted great.

Personally not recommended. It was moderately crowded. Ordered 2 salads, brought to the table after 1 hour at our insistence. 1 salad was well mixed with various vegetables. 2.Salad carelessly large iceberg lettuce leaves with mushy cucumbers and coleslaw dipped in vinegar. Inedible. If you order the same salad twice, it should be approximately the same. Not recommended. Staff also seemed overwhelmed.

So you really have to wait today and the food is so-so... Wine on the menu where a bottle costs €3.90 and a glass costs €7 ouch Aperol was good, just not very high in alcohol... So yes, you can do it, you don't have to.

Disappointing for the price. More appearance than reality. If you have a nightcap and only hear I don't know if we have it on a Tuesday at 5 p.m., then that's really a shame for the restaurant. Sato, Lillet etc. you should always have a spare at this time of year. There weren't even 3 berries or anything, but there was a lemon, which of course really didn't make the whole thing harmonious. Expensive prices and you had to wait forever because you forgot, with 3 people at the table and an online system, it was really laughable.

Large portions sh. Pictures at usual prices, clean and well-kept atmosphere, beautiful beer garden, barrier-free access directly via the underground car park with elevator. The drinks were very tasty, the waitresses were extremely friendly and helpful with questions, and the toilets were clean. Rarely have I felt so comfortable and would love to come back.

The heavily drunk guests are very unpleasant. Unfortunately, they are tolerated by management to the chagrin of the rest.

The brick location is okay but just on the tourist trip to the city center! My opinion. When you come off the ship and don't know anything else! There's better in Bbg!!!!

You won't get full if you're very hungry. Portions very small, especially the roulade... haha ​​that was the biggest letdown, especially given the prices and well when you have to serve Warsteiner in the beer region!

After a concert you hardly get anything to eat.

Went on a Friday evening, made a reservation and it was busy. Nevertheless, we had to wait about 15 minutes for our drinks (a Hugo and a Cola). The conditions in which we received our food were very friendly, only the waiter for the drinks didn't even bring us a glass for the cola (it was in a bottle). We had to wait about 45 minutes for the food. Although there wasn't much going on. Portions were ok, but for the price? All in all: service staff are very nice, food and drinks take a long time and the price is high. I'm not coming back.

Four of us and our dogs were in Bamberg for three days and... despite some negative reviews... we went to this restaurant on the first evening because the menu really appealed to us. And no regrets!!! The restaurant has a very attractive outdoor area, where we also took a seat. The service was super nice, the dog was immediately given a bowl of water, the food came quickly, looked very good and tasted that way!! In fact, it was so delicious that we went back the next evening. As a vegan, I was also very satisfied :)

First of all, the ambience is solid and pleasant, nothing special but definitely nothing bad. The service is pleasant, nice and polite and, as some previous speakers have mentioned, I had no problems. Now about the food: There were 3 of us here, 2 of whom also work in the catering industry (kitchen) and what is served to the customers here is brazen and outrageous for this price. The salad was completely fine, a little more flavor would have been appropriate, but that would be a complaint at a high level. The main course was as follows Salmon burgers Pork loin Stuffed chicken with tomato mozzarella and tagliatelle Salmon burger: Good bread and mustard sauce, interesting taste but the salmon served here is cheeky. I couldn't even identify whether the chef simply can't prepare salmon or whether the chef saves himself the real salmon and buys the cheap salmon substitute (that's what it smelled like). Even a layman shouldn't notice it, but in both cases it's brutally bold 20€ Stuffed chicken: The crowning achievement for anyone who has ever fried a chicken will notice that this is not a freshly fried piece but most likely pre-fried and reheated in the steamer if necessary. I would be ashamed to serve one of my customers something like that and call myself a chef. Pork loin: What can I mention ambitiously preparing such a quality piece of meat so dry that (I'm really sorry) I wouldn't even blame my pet for it. But you thought you could improve it with a ready-made cream sauce (wrong thought) but you can take people for a fool. At least the service was ultimately pleasant and I'm really sorry that I was barely able to leave a tip. Because I didn't want to give this kitchen any credit. PS: If any accusation is not true regarding the production and purchase of the goods served, I would still worry about the “cooks” who manage to serve food that is not at least edible.

I find it very expensive to charge 5.40 euros for a 0.4 apple spritzer.

We were hotel guests and spent our evening in the restaurant. Beautiful location and really great service, very personable. We will be back definitely.

We were told at 10 p.m. that the last round was already over. The only option is to order a drink straight away, pay for it and drink it in 15 minutes. We then moved on only to find out an hour later that the shop was completely full (including the terrace) and people were still eating. After a little research, we discovered that an event in the concert hall next door ended around 10:15 p.m. It was okay to open the bar longer. We asked the boss about it and were treated as stupid. It's better to go to the city center, there are lots of cool bars.

Horrible tourist shop. With really high prices for the location and portion size, we received two mediocre dishes - the third was still missing when two people had completely finished eating. Repeated notifications to the service (we had to go to the concert hall at a fixed time) had no effect, the bill was charged in full. There was no apology. We had to take the third meal with us after more than an hour spent in the restaurant and it was carelessly slammed into a box so that it was barely edible - garnished with rotten rocket. Underground - I've never experienced anything like it. And that doesn't even include the fact that in Bamberg you only get Warsteiner... Edit after the operator's reaction: The representation is NOT correct. All guests ordered at the same time. Thank you very much for the questions from your colleagues and your efforts. However, accusations that are not true do not really make the explanation any better. There were at least a lot of colleagues on site and not all tables were occupied, even if there were cancellations - there was simply no response to our questions. Good luck with your concept.

Servers who don't understand everything

Very bad food. There were eight of us there, except for a hamburger, all the other dishes were very poorly prepared. My chicken was mini small, rock hard, you couldn't cut it at all. The pasta tasted of nothing and the pesto was liquid broth with no taste either. The other dishes were all from the deep fryer. In this restaurant the price-performance ratio is not right at all.

Poor food quality, poor value for money, nice service.

Due to the completely impossible behavior of the waitress, we left the restaurant before we ordered anything. There was also football on the screens above the counter and an intense canteen smell throughout the restaurant because a warm buffet was set up in the anteroom for a tour group.

Very good food in a great atmosphere. Reservations recommended for events in the concert/conference hall. The only negative point is the high prices (unfortunately not these days)

A rollercoaster of emotions. Great ambience, incredibly nice staff (that's how it should be)... my Bamburger (great pun) was delicious, although very under-fried and raw. But the pork loin with pepper sauce was a total failure. And when we told her that unfortunately the woman didn't like it and it simply wasn't good, there was a nice inquiry and understanding, but no response regarding a schnapps or the like. Even the tea at the end was charged at 5.80 for the pot (which was not what was ordered). Anyone who offers such ambitious prices should not rely on “changing chefs”. Too bad... no coming back. And there was nothing going on!

Unfortunately, the price-performance ratio is subpar. A tarte flambée costs €18.80, a tea costs €5.80! The atmosphere is industrial. Unfortunately it was around 15-17 degrees in this restaurant and almost everyone was sitting at the table wearing jackets. When asked, they said there was no heating. At these prices I don't expect to have to freeze! Unfortunately that doesn't work at all!

Service was good but the German language was very poor. Constant change of forces. It takes a long time for food to arrive at the table. From ordering to the first starter dish we waited about 45 minutes. Desserts were way too late since we had tickets for them

Service war sehr aufmerksam und freundlich und auf zack. Das Ambiente mit dem industrial Charme war sehr ansprechend für mich. Und auch das Essen war sehr lecker. Das tolle isr das die Gaststätte direkt an das Hotel a grenzt, sodass der Weg nicht zu weit zum Zimmer ist 😉

Haben fast 30 Minuten auf unsere Getränke gewartet, das war schon grenzwertig. Dann haben wir unseren Cocktail bekommen, der über zehn Euro gekostet hat und das war ein besserer Longdrink. Also meine lange Wartezeiten und schlechte Qualität. Danke aber nicht wieder.

Eigentlich eine coole Location Netter Service Aber das Essen war kein wirklicher Genuss. Schweinemedaillons mit Pfeffersoße Fleisch gut, Beilagen salzig und ein Wienerschnitzel mit mehr Panade als Fleisch Alles ziemlich ölig, der Schnaps zu Hause musste es richten

An Großveranstaltung teilgenommen. Tolles Ambiente im Kaiserin-Kunigunde-Saal. Vorspeise Rindsbrühe sehr gut. Hatte Tagliatelle mit Walnuss-Pesto bestellt. Leider waren es Tagliolini und die Nudeln kamen fast kalt an den Tisch. Ein Teil der Nudeln war kross oder trocken, ich konnte es nicht unterscheiden. Das Servicepersonal war freundlich und aufmerksam.

Das Plückers bietet ein wunderschönes Ambiente. Das Personal ist sehr aufmerksam und freundlich. Die Inneneinrichtung ist stilvoll und passt gut zusammen. Das Essen wird gut präsentiert und kommt warm am Gast an. Geschmacklich ist jedoch Luft nach oben. Wir hatten die Bamberger Zwiebel, die fast noch rohr war, das Schnitzel schmeckte eigenartig, die Rahmsoße wirkte sehr künstlich und insgesamt zu wenig gewürzt. Die Karte ist kurz und knapp gehalten, was ich persönlich gut finde, dann müssen die Gerichte aber liefern. Ich würde sehr gern wiederkommen, wenn sich die Qualität der Speisen ändert.

Fachpersonal aufmerksam und zuvorkommend und flink. Ehemalige Kalikofabrik. Extrem kneipengeeignet!! Wenn voll, dann hallig-laut. Aber eben immer noch fein. Sehr sogar!

Stylisch eingerichtetes Restaurant. Sehr nette Servicekräfte. Getränkepreise gehoben, auch für Biere. Preise für Essen okay. Bei der Qualität des Essens besteht teilweise noch Luft nach oben. Laugenpizza gut, Risotto zu fett, mit viel zu viel Käse, etwas verkocht.

Wir kommen von außerhalb und waren nun schon einige Male in dem anliegenden Hotel und damit im Plückers essen oder Abends noch auf einen Drink im Plückers. Unglaublich nettes Personal. Alle. Eine Kellnerin ganz besonders, immer einen witzigen Spruch und aber sehr aufmerksam. Das Essen ist gut und die Preise fair. Immer wieder gerne

Liegt an den angeschlossenen Hotel. Einheimisches Bier zu Teuer. Portionen zu klein für den Preis. Geschmacklick auch nicht so überzeugt.

Hier bekommt ihr sensationell leckeres Essen, genau auf den Punkt. Eine gute Bierauswahl und gute Longdrinks gibt es auch. Der Service ist super… so muss es sein. Sehr zu empfehlen!

Wir waren gestern im Plückers zum Abendessen. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich. (Schon öfter festgestellt. Eigentlich jedes Mal.) Allerdings könnten die Getränke besser gekühlt sein. Bei einer Rhabarberschorle bildete sich am Boden des Glases ein pulvriger Satz (?) Das Essen ließ zu wünschen übrig. Die Hähnchenbrust war zwischen roh, aufgewärmt und schon hart an der Oberfläche. Zudem sehr zäh und trocken! Dezent bis gar nicht gewürzt. Der Reis war verkocht und hatte keinen Geschmack. Die lila Karotten waren hart, fast roh und auch fast bis gar nicht gewürzt. Die lila Karottenchips waren lauwarm und hatten ebenfalls wenig Geschmack. Die Paprikasauce war bitter. Alles in Allem war das Gericht lauwarm und alles sehr trocken. Das schmackhafteste war der kleine Salat mit dem Sonnenweizen in Curry. Letzterer war sehr, sehr lecker!!!

Ein super Service. Justin ist ein richtig netter und guter Kellner. Die Atmosphäre ist sehr angenehm. Das Essen ist sehr gut. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis völlig okay.

Nach Konzertbesuch einen Absacker in netter Atmosphäre und zur Überbrückung der Wartezeit bis zur Ausfahrt aus der Tiefgarage.
