The food was good, but the service wasn't so good. We waited at least 50 minutes for the food, even though it wasn't even half full. The portions were small. The photo shows a portion for two people.

The food was good, the service friendly and fast, the ambience in the ugly courtyard not particularly great.

We had the Knosso plate and a chicken salad. Afterward, we treated ourselves to ice cream with chocolate sauce. We enjoyed each of these components. We enjoyed the ambiance, including the white tablecloths and soft background music.

We had a bad experience at this restaurant and posted it here as a review. As you can see, all the negative reviews were removed by a company on Google. We were contacted accordingly and should have taken legal action to keep the negative comment up. If you want an honest opinion about this restaurant, the best place to start is Tripadvisor! All reviews that weren't positive would be removed there.

The service was very attentive and friendly. The food didn't take long to arrive and tasted truly delicious! The recommended wine complemented everything perfectly, and the prices were perfectly reasonable. All in all, a lovely meal. We'll definitely be back!

Unfortunately, I don't recommend it! We were on a city break in Heidelberg and, when looking for a good restaurant, relied on Google reviews. This was a mistake in this case. The food wasn't particularly tasty, and the vegetable side dish came from a frozen package. The garlic potatoes were swimming in oil, and the outdoor area is in the back courtyard and not very appealing. A return visit is definitely not on the cards for us.

We arrived around 9:15 pm and were still warmly welcomed by the staff. The food and wine (recommended by manager) were great, but what truly stood out was the exceptional service. The manager made us feel welcome and demonstrated care and friendliness toward all guests. Having recently moved to Heidelberg, I’m excited to have discovered this place and will definitely return.

Delicious food with friendly, fast service at a fair price. If you're craving Greek food, this is the place for you. The homemade, fried potato slices (=fries) are highly recommended. Note: Knossos is somewhat hidden in the courtyard. 😋😋😋

A nice little restaurant tucked away in a back courtyard. The staff is very friendly. The food was delicious and served quickly. The value for money is more than acceptable for Heidelberg, and the portions are also decent. I highly recommend it and would gladly return.

Enjoyed the platter #2 for two people. A nice variety of grilled meats, with a salad and pommes frite with garlic.

Knossos is an absolute insider tip. You can sit outside without having someone constantly walk right past your plate. The service is excellent. We laughed a lot and received special recommendations. The food was of high quality and delicious. The value for money was absolutely reasonable. Our dog was also very welcome!

We ordered lamb in a lemon and herb sauce and stuffed peppers with feta cheese. What arrived was a bad running joke in the form of beef goulash in brown cafeteria sauce and a pepper stuffed with the cheapest feta cheese you'd probably find on sale. Fun fact: For allergy sufferers, this isn't an accident; it's a fire hazard. Anyone who swaps ingredients without notifying them has no place in the restaurant industry. The garlic bread? Garlic burnt beyond recognition, as if it had been spitefully grilled in a volcano. The potato chips were so soggy that they probably didn't even know they were supposed to be crispy anymore. (They were also soaked with oil like sponges, which indicates a too-cold fryer.) The "salad" was so bland and uninspiring that even a piece of copy paper would have had more flavor. And the "tzatziki"? No garlic, no character, no trace of authenticity, just a sad dill slime disguised as a sauce. Zeus, the Greek god, would have hurled a thunderbolt at this crime against culinary arts. On top of that, the whole thing arrived half an hour late. So instead of anticipating the food, there was only the frustration of waiting and, in the end, the realization: They didn't cook anything here, they gave up. Conclusion: If you want to be truly disappointed with your food, please, treat yourself. For everyone else: Save your money, save your calories, save your nerves. (The on-site photos look really great. We were all the more irritated by the food that was delivered. It had absolutely nothing to do with the pictures.)

We stumbled upon this restaurant while passing through and had a very good meal there. Even without a reservation, we got a table quickly. The food was delicious, and the service was attentive and friendly. At the end, we even got a free ouzo, and the food was very good value for money. We were pleasantly surprised by the good selection of vegetarian dishes, which isn't common in most Greek restaurants.

We're not from Heidelberg and found this restaurant via Google Maps. The outside was a bit disconcerting, but inside the restaurant was incredibly cozy and we immediately felt at home. The service was very attentive and extremely friendly. The food (we each had a skewer, one pork, one mixed, both with garlic potato chips) was delicious, and the meat was very tender. The house dressing for the salad was also delicious. A truly top-notch restaurant! Highly recommended! We would come back anytime!

I had the pleasure of dining at this Greek restaurant during my time in Heidelberg, and I can honestly say it was the best food I’ve had here. The staff were incredibly attentive, patient, and understanding, especially given the language barrier. Their kindness made the experience even more enjoyable. Now, about the food — it was absolutely incredible! The lamb cutlets and potatoes were by far the best I’ve ever had in my entire life. Every bite was full of flavor, and the quality of the dishes was top-notch. I truly can’t recommend it enough. My colleagues and I actually wanted to go to another restaurant, but it was completely booked. By chance we ended up with this Greek guy – and what a stroke of luck that was! The innkeeper was extremely friendly, the food was really excellent, and the prices were absolutely justified for the quality. A particularly nice moment on the side: The innkeeper invited a homeless person to dinner. Even if this has nothing to do with the rating in the strict sense, it still shows what a warm person stands behind the restaurant. We'd love to come back!

Hidden little Greek restaurant in a backyard. Found it by chance on the way back from the Christmas market. A very nicely decorated restaurant with a great team, very friendly service and a wide selection on the menu. The food came quickly and tasted great. However, it was my first Greek without gyros on the menu.

The food is really delicious and especially at very moderate prices. The restaurant is located in an inner courtyard, so unfortunately not great for sitting outside. The atmosphere in the restaurant is rather rustic. It's not mine. Nevertheless, I recommend the restaurant. Reservations urgently required, tens of people were sent away because it was simply too full. However, you only get the ouzo here after your meal. It would be typical to serve it beforehand. The service is also very nice. Unfortunately, not all drinks were available.

Der griechische Name des Restaurants passt leider nicht zu dem Essen für unser Verständnis. Erste Portion: Lammspiess bestellt und nur zähe Lammstücke bekommen (wo war der Spiess?) Knoblauchchips viel zu ölig bzw. fettig. Salatdressing schlecht. Zweite Portion: Lammhaxe bestellt und nur Lammstücke in Soße bekommen. Das geht gar nicht. Unter Tsaziki verstehen wir auch etwas anderes, denn es war nur ein etwas ähnlicher Dip. Für den Preis eindeutig zu teuer und minderwertig.

At the beginning I was impressed. The service was very friendly, we were also given good advice about the daily menu and the normal menu. After we ate, the tide changed. The service got worse and worse. We ordered a wine but it was forgotten. After a while the waiter came and we changed our order. One wine, one wheat beer and two ouzos. Everything was brought, only this time the ouzos were forgotten. In the meantime, my desire to follow up also diminished. After our glasses had been empty for 15 minutes and neither of the two waiters had shown any interest in serving us drinks again, we asked for the bill. We then received half a glass of poured ouzo for free. It's a shame that this service drags down the rating, but I can only rate the food positively, the rest is poor.
