Gaststätte Klosterhof in Kandel

I'm shocked...the server asked for my wife's number, where he heard she wasn't feeling well, and asked us to do something with him if she wanted to have some fun. My 12-year-old daughter had tears in her eyes after that... I definitely wouldn't go there again...the food is very, very good, but this is absolutely unacceptable...he should actually get a notice from me.

Very friendly and quick service. We didn't have to wait long for the food either. The restaurant itself is beautifully decorated in a rustic style. Outside, there's a traditional beer garden with a small waterfall and lots of flowers. Overall, you feel at home here. The food is delicious and there's plenty of parking. This is our second time here and we'll be back.

We ended up there quite by chance 🧐. While looking for a restaurant on the way home, our main priority was to find something near an exit. On the way there, we felt a bit strange 😐: a restaurant in the middle of a commercial building surrounded by warehouses and excavators!? So it was all the more surprising when we arrived. From the outside, it looked very good and cozy. There is free parking nearby. You enter a cozy beer garden with rustic and sturdy benches and tables, but you can see very well. 👍 After we were assigned a table, we also placed our drink orders at short notice. The menu is very interesting and extensive; we have seasonal asparagus, Croatian cuisine, French food, and German cuisine. We had the rump steak, which was delicious, cooked to perfection, with crispy fried potatoes and a grilled platter. The portions were very good 👍, as was the food 🥘. The drinks 🥤 arrived quickly and reliably. The service was a bit hectic but friendly. We highly recommend this place and would be happy to come back if we're in the area. Dogs are welcome on the terrace.

When we are in the Kandel area, the Klosterhof is a MUST for us! At the entrance we are greeted by two petrified monastery brothers, but behind the front door it is very Italian: a friendly atmosphere and delicious food await every guest. And the staff: A1, always friendly and accommodating!

The food is very tasty and the portions are very large. The food is more middle-class.

Delicious food and nice staff. Seniors and children's plates are also on offer. The prices are fair and there is enough space to park. For special occasions you should definitely reserve in advance. We will, when we're near, would like to make a detour here again.

Super great atmosphere with a large artificial tree in the middle of the business that extends to the upper floor. Mediterranean design with stone walls and private rooms. Great lighting and cozy atmosphere.

Rarely eaten so deliciously! It was actually fully booked but then they found a place for us, thank you. We ordered the “Klosterhof Steakplatte” for 2 people and can only say: Super delicious! We live in the Stuttgart region, but we will definitely come back. Clear recommendation from our side!

We come here regularly to eat on various occasions. The menu offers a huge selection, so everyone should find something. The Croatian food is super tasty and the pizzas are well topped and relatively "large" - bring your hunger ;-) Drinks are well chilled. The service is very friendly and attentive. The beer garden is great and so is the ambience in the restaurant. We would love to come back...

Had a meat plate. I found that all pieces were seasoned the same and the rump steak had some tendons.

Yesterday I reserved a table for my partner and myself and a woman confirmed on the phone that there was still room...when I arrived the beer garden was already quite full, although I overlooked a table in the crowd that was set up for two people. Since there was no waitress outside, I sat down at a table that was reserved (just to wait until one of the waitresses and my partner showed up). Then a tall, gray-haired man came up to me and told me literally, "You're not allowed to sit here !.....that was quite unpleasant and I explained the situation to him straight away and he said that there was food for two over there. OK, that's my answer: but let's be honest...what kind of greeting was that? When we collected the money, he let us feel that again.....on the one hand, no ouzo, which doesn't have to be an obligation, and on the other hand, our 3.80 euro tip (for his stupid behavior) was probably not enough for him. He gave it to me Leftover money and just ran away without a thank you or comment, let alone a goodbye.... wannabe macho guys like that one probably don't need it anymore! But it's ok... neither are we! He'll never see us again, it's just the mass of people there! Politeness = none. Apart from the girls, who were really very friendly and accommodating, but who were also chased around excessively by the guy.....called the name of the waitress and then loudly ordered them to set the table for four over there.....big vomit! Just so you know...the girls would have each given a 5 euro tip! Ciao

As always a highlight. It's like eating with friends, the warm and friendly staff leaves nothing to be desired. Always happy to go there. The beautiful beer garden invites you to linger. Rich menu and the price-performance ratio is more than good.

Food was delicious, I had a rump steak medium and it was also medium. I ordered a drink twice, unfortunately it was forgotten and after 15 minutes nothing came. The staff is super nice.

Food wasn't bad but not good either! For the schnitzel with asparagus and mushroom sauce and gratinated with cheese, I got 3 thin asparagus, some of which were woody. Ridiculous!!! The fried potatoes were boiled potato slices briefly tossed in the pan and had no crust. Salad (iceberg lettuce with ready-made dressing, possibly bulk packs from Metro) was small and not satisfactory. Probably all finished products, definitely not freshly cooked! Overall it was poor quality and not worth the high price. If you reorder or exchange the inserts, an extra €1.50 will be charged!! What justification does this approach have???

Bei unserem letzten Besuch im Restaurant Klosterhof wurden wir nicht nur von der herzlichen Atmosphäre und dem exzellenten Service überwältigt, sondern auch von der Qualität der Speisen. Besonders hervorzuheben ist die Dalmatia Grillplatte, die außergewöhnlich reichhaltig und perfekt für unsere Gruppe von fünf Personen war. Alles war frisch zubereitet und perfekt serviert, was unseren Abend besonders machte. Die Preise für die Getränke waren sehr fair, und der Service ließ keine Wünsche offen. Wir hatten einen wundervollen Abend und können den Klosterhof nur jedem empfehlen, der Wert auf Qualität und Gastfreundschaft legt.

Can only recommend the restaurant! It has a really cute beer garden, even though we sat inside because of the rain. The restaurant also has the typical brewery character inside. For dinner we had two dishes from the seasonal asparagus menu. If you want to eat asparagus, the restaurant is really perfect. Many different dishes, regional asparagus and well prepared. Otherwise there is a wide range of other dishes, but everything is very tasty. And I would like to give special praise to the staff. I haven't had such nice service in a long time. They were always nearby, super friendly, quick and responded directly to special requests. Great all-round package!

A relatively large restaurant with many seats. Nevertheless, it was busy when we visited and I would recommend making a reservation. There is a very large, free parking lot right next door on the former A65 site. The staff was friendly and accommodating, we didn't have to wait long for something to drink or eat. The prices for the food are perfectly reasonable and the food itself is also very tasty. The ambience is rustic and thanks to the smaller spatial separations, it wasn't too loud. If you like good Croatian cuisine, I can only recommend a visit.

Yesterday I was here for dinner with my husband as it was our son and daughter-in-law's birthday. Unfortunately we were all a bit disappointed 😞 the baked sheep's cheese looked like porridge. The grilled pepperoni appeared to be from a jar and was quite soft. My daughter-in-law's goulash soup was quite thin. The side salad tasted like Maggi and all the dishes screamed for spice. Especially our son's pizza bread. My fries were soggy and unseasoned. There wasn't much going on in the restaurant, so you could have said that could happen with the stress 🤷‍♀️ It's actually a shame. But I don't think we'll go there again.

The food is okay 3 stars, the service is subpar not even worth a star. The waitress is unable to organize a quiet table - doesn't ask if the food is okay, let alone ask for a coffee afterwards, and portrays someone who wants to pay with a credit card as a criminal - that's huge!!! NO WAY! Paid with EC €25.20, nobody needs that! At least a receipt when asked. Tip 0.00 EUR and that's still too much!

If I could, I would give minus stars! The "head waiter" there, a guy around 60, about 1.82 m tall, half-bald, short hair and glasses, bugged his partner. Pressed a kiss on her cheek as she walked. As she later told me, he then tracked her down on facebook and started harassing her on fb and whatsapp and even called her at work several times. He wasn't interested in your request to stop. She then blocked him everywhere to have peace of mind. Such behavior is absolutely unacceptable and we will definitely not go to Klosterhof again or recommend it to others!

Wir waren schon mehrmals da. Das Ambiente gefällt uns sehr gut. Das Essen ist ebenfalls sehr gut. Negativ ist die Bedienung, die jetzt das zweite mal eine sehr penetrante und aufdringliche Anmache gestartet hat, obwohl ich mit meiner Familie dort war. Dies ist auch der Grund, warum wir ab jetzt einen großen Bogen um das Restaurant machen. Sehr schade denn so werden Gäste vertrieben!

Das Essen war geschmacklich super, auch das Klosterbruder Bier schmeckt gut!

Hier wird nicht viel selbst gekocht, weder Soßen noch Suppen. Glaube auch nicht, dass die Schnitzel selbst paniert sind. Es sieht alles, wirklich alles sehr nach Industrieessen aus. Wahrscheinlich steht kein Koch in der Küche und es muss alles nur erhitzt werden.

Abwechslungsreiche Karte. Essen frisch und lecker. Salatsauce super gut, da könnte ich mich reinlegen 😍. Personal freundlichen und familiär. Viele Stammgäste. Grosser Parkplatz. Im Sommer kann man gut draussen sitzen. Am Wochenende wird reservieren empfohlen. Preise sind angemessen, eher günstig für die großen Portionen.

Das Essen war sehr gut. Leckeres Bier aus eigener Brauerei. Bedienung nett und zuvorkommend. Jedoch der Salat war heute unterirdisch fast nur eisbergsalat mit ein wenig Dressing. Heute war alles super. Leider total voll eben 2. Weihnachtstag

Noch nie enttäuscht worden. Personal und Chef sind immer nett und schnell unterwegs, selbst in stressigen Momenten bewahren sie immer einen kühlen Kopf. Essen schmeckt und fällt immer sehr üppig aus :)

Wir kommen schon viele Jahre in den Klosterhof und sind immer noch sehr zufrieden. Das Essen ist ausgesprochen gut. Für jeden Geschmack ist was dabei. Der Service ist super. Die Organisation in der Küche ist der Hammer. Wir konnten immer alle zusammen essen. Die bestellten Gerichte kommen gleichzeitig zum Tisch. Hut ab. Wir kommen auch in Zukunft gerne wieder.

Wir besuchten im Rahmen einer Familienfeier die Gaststätte Klosterhof. An einem Sonntag Abend im August war der Biergarten recht gut besucht. Die Bedienung war dennoch auf zack und brachte die bestellten Speisen aus der recht umfangreichen Speisekarte in angemessener Zeit. Die Portionsgröße war sehr groß, das Essen selbst schmeckte ganz gut, war aber eher bodenständig als ein Erlebnis. Die Preise waren angebracht.
