Nice outdoor terrace, good service and good food

We had booked and paid for a large room with living room. We got a completely ordinary double room that hadn't been renovated since 1970, which was very disappointing. You could hear everything from the surrounding rooms when they showered, went to the toilet, talked etc., there is no soundproofing. You also have to remember that if you choose to eat in their restaurant, they only accept cash. If you have bought with breakfast, a portion is served, and you are not sitting alone at the table, you share a table with other guests. Way too expensive for the quality.

We were welcomed in a very friendly and courteous manner, the service is quick, everyone tries very hard. The Kaiserschmarrn was also perfect. Clear recommendation ;)

A beautiful inn in the middle of the town, with particularly good cuisine, everything is handmade and you can taste it too. It actually starts in the morning with the delicious and varied breakfast and continues with the small but very well thought-out menu, which has something for everyone, as well as changing delicious daily specials. Then the nice staff there really makes you feel like you're in good hands and no matter what, I think you could express any wish and they would try to fulfill it. We have now completed our second stay here and would like to come back next year because there is simply no better place to switch off, relax and have fun.

Nice restaurant in Ramsau with very friendly service. The location is absolutely ok, you rarely do anything wrong in Ramsau. Sitting food was good, but not great either. You get full, it tastes good, but there is no wow factor. The dumpling wasn't really my thing and my wife had probably had the fried potatoes for a while. But you can definitely eat here and you won't be disappointed!

Our room was very spacious, large and cozy. The bathroom is newly renovated and also large. There was a small balcony in our room. The three of us were able to sit there without any problem.

We were there spontaneously, everything was great: •The map was clear •there are options for vegetarians •The waiters were extremely friendly •There would be a Raiffeisen bank right next to it •You can't pay by card there, only cash •The food was very tasty •You can also park there nearby We were more than satisfied with our visit to the restaurant! Went there today after a day at the lake. Hardly any restaurant has managed to shine like this 😊 Super nice waitresses and very accommodating, food and drinks were brought to the table quickly and the food is just amazing. Small but great menu with something for every diet 🙏 I would particularly like to highlight the young waiter who, full of enthusiasm and singing, made the evening a lot sweeter. We would love to come back 😊

Good and centrally located inn. Dogs are welcome and the selection of food is not too large, but still varied. Card payment is not possible. The opening times in the afternoon are practical and good. The service staff is very friendly and quick. You feel in good hands and the food is delicious. We got a spot, but when we left there were several people waiting for a spot.

Stopped by the Oberwirt today after a great day at Hintersee. We were warmly welcomed and the waiter pointed out the daily special: lumberjack steak with fried potatoes and fresh salad. It was simply delicious, honest fresh cuisine. We'd love to come back.😊

Very tasty food, at normal prices. I've experienced completely different prices here in the area (which really rip off tourists). The staff is very friendly. The half knuckle is highly recommended. The mountaineering schnitzel is also very tasty. We were very happy and stayed there a few times during our vacation.

Water, mountains and in the middle the Oberwirt Spotlessly clean and well-kept hotel with large rooms and breakfast. It has been a family business since 1500. ramsau is a great base for exploring the beautiful area. For walking, cycling, climbing, boating, swimming and any other lively and active sport, the area is an inexhaustible repository of natural experiences. The Oberwirt also has a typical Bavarian tavern. What's extra free is the running sound of the RAMSAU brook, which runs a little lower than the rooms. You sleep great!

We can recommend the Oberwirt with a clear conscience. We spent our vacation there and were totally thrilled. Our decision to use the Oberwirt as a holiday destination again for several days or weeks is set in stone. Super clean rooms and first-class service are the order of the day there. The beer garden gave us some wonderful and fun hours. The entire Oberwirt team is top notch, the food is first class and the menu left nothing to be desired for us. The breakfast is delicious, varied and more than sufficient. The bus stops right in front of the front door and you can easily travel in all directions. The perfect starting point for lots of excursions and hikes.

We ended up here by chance and stopped in for dinner; we would have preferred to stay. Staff/friendliness, food, price, quality, friendliness... Can't be beat. We give 6 out of 5 stars.

I had dinner with my kids today and I absolutely loved it. The prices are very pleasant and the food at the Gasthof Oberwirt is at least affordable. I've seen completely different prices in the last 10 days. The service is very good and the staff is very friendly. :) 😀 We would be happy to come back and can recommend the inn 100%.

The room was spacious and the breakfast was certainly not bad. The presence of a refrigerator in the room was also a plus. However, we slept very poorly due to the heat. There was no air conditioning or fan in the room and it was very hot on the top floor, under the roof. A visit at a cooler time of year might have given a different impression of the hotel. The location and view of the hotel was very good!

A Bavarian economy like in the advertising brochure. A family business older than the local church, which is currently very well run by a young and dynamic pair of siblings. The room prices are in the upper price range. But everything is nice, clean and there is a good breakfast. The restaurant and beer garden are very nice, some rooms have been renovated and very tastefully decorated. The waiters are very friendly. The prices in the restaurant are moderate, the food is very good. Everyone will find something, Bavarian hearty, healthy with salad, all types of meat or vegetarian. There is a fixed menu and a daily menu. The bus stop is right in front of the house.

Were there recently for dinner. Service very nice. I had a mountaineering schnitzel, very tasty, but unfortunately the fried potatoes were nothing. They had probably been in the pan for a long time and were mostly tough and dry. I pointed this out when paying... My wife had cheese spaetzle, unfortunately only with roasted onions from the bag. There wouldn't be a problem with freshly braised ones?!

First of all, a big compliment to all the employees at the Gasthof Oberwirt. Very polite, fulfill every request and give very good advice regarding the menu. Even if the restaurant or the terrace is full, the employees are in a good mood and take the time to chat. No information can be given about the rooms as we only ate there. The food is very tasty. We'd be happy to come back when we're in the area again.

Best food we had on our holiday in the area - never had such an excellent onion roast, but the other dishes were also great! Staff was also very good, always asking if we needed anything else...

We hiked to Ramsau, it looked very inviting outside and we were greeted very happily. We sat outside. The service was excellent and immediately fulfilled my special requests when I ordered. The food was super delicious. The toilets were very clean. We would go there again.

Delicious food as you would expect in a Bavarian restaurant

My friend and I were at the Gasthof oberwirt from May 20th, 2024 to May 25th. This was my second stay, unfortunately very disappointed. Booked via booking, a 3 bed room with a large double bed and a small bed, additional bathtub. Booked this but didn't get it. They mentioned it but their statement was that they could only put an additional folding bed in there, which would never have fit. I would go to Berchtesgaden again but would no longer stay at the Gasthof Oberwirt. Am disappointed

Great service, special requests were addressed without any problems and without a surcharge. The staff was super friendly and checked on all the guests Food fresh and homemade, no convenience whatsoever. The taste is absolutely brilliant, you can only give it 5 stars.

Better food - hardly possible! By far one of the best restaurants in the area - incredibly tasty food, super nice service and a location that is definitely second to none! We went there more than three times in one week because it was absolutely delicious! The food selection is varied and everything we have eaten so far has been absolutely great! We are already looking forward to our next visits - if you are in the area you should definitely stop by!

The area also has a lot to offer tourists. But the Oberwirt is different. Solid cuisine, friendly service, moderate prices. Stopping there is a good choice!

During our Ramsau vacation we visited the Gasthof Oberwirt. The ambience inside really deserves the name “rustic”. The beer garden can be freely chosen under the roof of the house, in the open air or under the chestnut trees. So there's something for everyone. Unfortunately it's a bit close to the road to the Hintersee / Magic Forest, but the innkeeper couldn't have known that 500 years ago. Towards the evening it becomes quieter. The staff is always friendly and quick!!! The food was extremely tasty. Praise to the chef!!! Reordering is no problem and the waitress thinks along and makes it easy for guests and the kitchen. Guest WiFi available and good. Plenty of free street parking for guests and a large free parking lot below the restaurant above the street. Bus stops directly at the house. We would love to come back!!!!

We stopped by the Gasthof Oberwirt twice during this holiday week and were able to sit on the terrace in the beautiful sunshine and the second time in the dining room. The staff is incredibly nice and gives you the feeling of being “welcomed”. The small menu has very tasty dishes that we were able to try out with 4 adults. We would love to come back here.

Zwei Stunden dort weil es so herzlich und nett war ! Preislich absolut super für die Region ! Waren mit fünf Leuten vor Ort ! Jeder ein anderes Gericht und jeder war total begeistert!das Personal war auch Suuuper freundlich nett und aufmerksam ! Absolut empfehlenswert.

Sehr freundlicher Empfang durch die Tochter des Hauses, Teuta. Wir haben als Paar einen netten Tisch neben dem Kachelofen bekommen. Sehr aufmerksamer Service, schnelle Bedienung, nicht aufdringlich, herzlich, authentisch, bayerisch sprechend 🤗. Das einheimische helle Zapfbier ist sehr süffig, empfehlenswert. Das Essen, Wiener Schnitzel und Backfisch, beides mit Bratkartoffeln wie von Omas Herd, alles frisch zubereitet in einer wie ich später sah offenen Küche, also frei und gut vom Gast einsehbar , war sehr lecker, geschmacklich sehr gut, auch die Remouladensauce war nicht aus der Fertigflasche, sondern hausgemacht, alles sehr gut. Die Bedienung ist außergewöhnlich zuvorkommend, an allen Tischen wie ich beobachtete, sehr aufmerksam , freundlich und schnell, nichts aufgesetztes, sondern natürlich. Man fühlt sich schnell wohl hier. Preis- Leistungsverhältnis passt, hier können sich noch Familien ein Essen leisten. Die Toiletten sind neu, sehr sehr sauber. In einem Gasthof, der neben einer weltbekannten Kirche, St Sebastian, sicher gut frequentiert wird, wird man hier total nett und außergewöhnlich zuvorkommend bedient. Wir kommen gerne wieder. Ein oberbayerischer TraditionsGasthof mit außergewöhnlicher Geschichte ( das Haus wurde im Jahr 1500 n.Chr. gebaut, noch 12 Jahre vor der benachbarten weltbekannten Kirche St Sebastian) und befindet sich seitdem in Familienbesitz!!😳 Allein das spricht für sich. Die Wirtsleute haben die Servicefreundlichkeit scheinbar in die Wiege gelegt bekommen. 😙😉😃

The service was very nice, but the quality of the food leaves a lot to be desired. Frozen fried potatoes from the deep fryer and mushy mixed vegetables instead of the princess beans promised on the menu are simply not possible. The meat was tender but only lukewarm. You don't get regular guests like that!

Best pigs 🐖 roast! The crispy pork knuckle is also recommended!
