Gasthaus "Zum Göschen" in Grimma

Nice host, large parking lot. Simple room, comfortable bed!

We recently celebrated our wedding here and had a wonderful celebration :). The food from the buffet was very tasty and the staff was always very friendly. The location itself is very nice, especially because of the opportunity to sit outside in the courtyard and the proximity to the Göschenpark right next door.

A big compliment to the employees at Göschens Gut. Everything went well at the wedding reception. The dishes from both the cold and warm buffets were tasty and attractively presented. Drinks were always served quickly and well chilled (when the outside temperature was over 30°C). The location is recommended for celebrations of this type. There is enough space with covered seating in the yard. The associated property is suitable for getting some fresh air or "stretching your legs" every now and then. The neighboring small park at the Göschenhaus is ideal for photo shoots or short walks.

We were there for the school graduation celebration In the 10th grade, I don't think I can say much. The food was pre-ordered and was just under €28. At the table everyone said that it wasn't tasty. The staff was very overwhelmed. There was also a chocolate mousse. At least it was presented as chocolate. We went to eat at GöschensGut and I unfortunately have to say that the meal offered for just under €28 per person was by far the worst meal that a restaurant has ever offered me. The picture shows part of the dry roast venison, with overcooked Brussels sprouts and hardly any sauce. The dessert we ordered could no longer be served because other guests had already received it. There was no apology for that either. It was an ordered event with 3 different dishes to choose from, unfortunately not one dish was convincing. The service staff was mostly completely haphazard and the dishes arrived at the tables one after the other over a period of 45 minutes. The younger waiters made an effort, but were overwhelmed by the number of guests. Drink orders often took 30 minutes to arrive, or were completely forgotten unless you went straight to the counter. Card payment was not possible.

Had the 10th grade graduation ceremony on Friday evening. The catering supply was a disaster. The pre-ordered food was distributed among the guests in a chaotic manner upon request. Roast venison and beef were overcooked, dry and tough. The chicken breast was probably stored for some time before the event started and was also drying. The food was served on plates that were far too small. Meat, vegetables and other things were piled on top of each other. Anyone who was not quick enough in distributing the dessert, which was also presented and paid for, had to be informed by the chef that others had just eaten the chocolate mouse they had chosen and that they were no longer able to deliver more. Serving beer became a farce and waiting times (I'm not talking about the ominous 7 minutes!) had to be taken into account. Card payment not possible. However, this was only communicated to the guests when they checked out.

We were there for our son's graduation. Unfortunately very disappointed with the planning, the food and the service. No matter what type of meat, everything is dry. Service staff sometimes rude. We really can't, but for 27.00 euros per meal, you can ask for something decent.

Almost everything was perfect - service was super friendly! Food (beef tongue with peas potatoes butter) wonderful - prices within reasonable limits - breakfast also almost perfect (only hot rolls, no bread or different types of rolls - you can handle it) more fruit or fruit dressing or yoghurt - room ok - very nice!

We were there for brunch and unfortunately it was anything but that, but more of a nice lunch buffet. It was more than obvious here that an attempt was made to give off appearances with the least amount of goods used. Brunch stands for Breakfast & Lunch. For breakfast there were simple baked rolls and packaged cheap jam. No bread, no fruit, no cheese or anything similar, which would otherwise be the minimum standard. The lunch then triumphed in a meaty atmosphere. When booking we were assured of vegetarian options. These didn't go beyond the croquettes and some frozen vegetables. Absolutely loveless, unimaginative and tasteless. At the end there was a few ready-made divine dishes (of course also non-vegetarian) and of course it was said that when it's all, it's all. Nothing was refilled. I would have liked to complain about everything and simply drive to the nearest gas station, where the rolls are much fresher. It's really a shame when such a beautiful location is run down like this. Absolutely not recommended to go there and one star is only given to the service staff who are least able to do it. (It's very difficult for me to publish my review now because I would like to support regional cuisine. So I hope that the review doesn't just bounce off, but perhaps contributes to the improvement.)

The food didn't convince me. It was very busy, but a Rostbrätl should be well done and with a Viennese-style schnitzel I expect that it has been breaded myself and that it is not frozen formed meat.

We ended up here yesterday looking for something warm between 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. And I have to say. I'm excited. Down-to-earth cuisine but still offers something for everyone. Portions are completely sufficient - even for overeaters! Delicious and super friendly! The prices are completely reasonable! The location is great - both indoors and outdoors. Also recommended for larger family celebrations. Even though we had to travel a little further, we will FOR SURE come back! Thank you dear team for a successful stop! I can't say anything about the neighboring guesthouse - except that there is the possibility of staying overnight.

Were here today, were warmly greeted and shown to our table Very nice location and interesting facilities. The food was very freshly prepared and served hot. The dishes tasted from very good to incredibly tasty. Compliments to the chef. You should go there and see for yourself. I highly recommend it.

Sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend, hier fühlt man sich Willkommen.

Wir haben lediglich auf der Durchreise zum Essen gehalten, deshalb können wir über die Zimmer leider nichts sagen, aber das Essen und der nette Service verdient 5 Sterne!

Bijām te atvesti vakariņot ar grupu. Vieta izveidota smuka- atjaunots vecs šķūnis lauku stilā- akmens mūri,koka sijas,senas mēbeles,ir galdiņi āra terasē. Nav auto stāvlaukuma ,kur novietot autobusu,tam jāstāv uz ielas braucamās daļas ar ieslēgtām avārijas ugunīm. Ēdienkartē tradicionālie vācu ēdieni. Ēdiena porcijas bija mazas( salīdzinot ar bildēm,kuras šeit ievietojuši citi atsauksmes licēji),zupa tika pasniegta knapi silta,salāti viena veida un ļoti maz. Tualeti atslēdza tikai pēc pieprasījuma,pirms vakariņām nebija iespējams nomazgāt rokas. Apkalpošana pieklājīga un raita.

Wir waren mit einer Reisegruppe, zum Mutzbratenessen. Es war leider nicht wie erwartet, das Fleisch war etwas zu lange im Ofen, die Klöße waren so groß wie Tischtennisbälle und auf einigen Tellern hat die Soße gefehlt. Der Service war auch leicht überfordert.

Sehr nette Bedienung und das Essen hat ebenfalls geschmeckt.

Sehr,sehr schönes Lokal(Lage,Ambiente) Leider standen wir oft bei spontanen Besuchsversuchen vor verschlossenen Türen,trotz ausgewiesener Öffnungszeiten. Nun waren wir beim letzten Besuch total überascht(und verwundert!) ....es war nebenan im Göschenhaus(Museum)Sommerfest...hier gab es Grillgerichte...man wollte nach den Fest noch etwas trinken(und später noch ala carte essen)...aber ohne Vorankündigung bekam man ab ca.17:00 nicht mal mehr ein Getränk serviert! (Obwohl nebenan Gäste gerade noch was serviert bekommen hatten und da sassen) Stattdessen setzte sich nebenan das Personal an den Tisch und lies es sich gutgehn! Das an einem Sonntag um 17:00 !!! Bei einem so grossen Zulauf von Leuten(und möglichen Gästen!!!)insbesondere durch das Fest! Wir waren deshalb nicht die einzigsten abgewiesen Gäste... Hat man hier keine Lust zum Geld verdienen??? An so einem Tag das Lokal zur besten Uhrzeit zu schliessen? Bei so einem tollen Sommergarten???? Sehr sehr schade!!!! Andere Lokale in der Nähe hatten dadurch Zulauf ohne Ende(und freuten sich!)

Wir waren gestern zu Zweit dort um eine Location für die Hochzeit zu finden und anschließend dort zu essen. Es ist sehr geräumig, gemütlich und rustikal eingerichtet. Davor ein einladender Biergarten. Wir durften uns alles ansehen. Die Absprache ist einfach gewesen und für Wünsche ist immer ein offenes Ohr. Da ist die Vorfreude schon da. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und kompetent. Und das Essen fantastisch. Mein Rinderfilet war auf den Punkt wie bestellt. Und das Essen im allgemeinen sehr köstlich. Danke für den schönen Abend. Was die Homepage versprach, fanden wir tatsächlich vor. Rustikales und gemütliches Ambiente, sehr freundliche Bedienung und hervorragendes Essen. Ein kleiner Tipp für alle Steak Liebhaber - das Schnitzel ala Klopstock bestellen und das Fleisch bei der Bestellung durch das Rumpsteak ersetzen. Ein absoluter Genuß. Schaut mal vorbei und genießt.
