We haven't experienced such a lovely and relaxed atmosphere in a long time. The food was first-class! Fresh, exquisitely presented, because, as we all know, food is a feast for the eyes and is at least as important as the taste experience! The staff were super friendly and relaxed, and the ambiance was wonderful, with a well-balanced blend of old and new! We're happy to give it 5 stars and highly recommend it! Keep up the good work, dear team!

A very nice restaurant with a very good selection of food and drinks. The ambiance is lovely, the staff professional, and the prices are reasonable. The quality is top-notch, and there's a good selection of wines to go with it. The watermill is right next door.

The waitress was exceptionally courteous, and I would like to express my sincere gratitude for this. She was very cooperative, took the time to address our concerns, and made a positive impression with her friendly manner. The culinary focus encompasses German and Saxon cuisine. The dishes are prepared and presented with outstanding quality. The flavors are excellent and freshly prepared. The freshness of the ingredients used for the hollandaise sauce was unclear. Nevertheless, I can recommend this restaurant without reservation.

At lunchtime, we sat on the terrace in the perfect weather. The view was fantastic, and the interior also offered an appealing mix of rustic and modern. The food was very tasty, making the price justifiable. The service, especially from Ms. Wünscher, was unbeatable. I've rarely seen so much friendliness and professionalism in one person. Chapeau! We'd be happy to return and recommend it anytime.

We had reserved a table for dinner for a larger group. Given the beautiful, warm weather, we naturally wanted to sit on the terrace. However, since the interior was set, the waitress's enthusiasm was limited when we were seated at a free table outside. She made this clear to us with her behavior. Considering the prices, this was a no-go. That has nothing to do with hospitality. Nevertheless, praise goes to the chef. The food was truly delicious. However, we won't be visiting the restaurant again.

The restaurant in the historic mill has been beautifully restored and offers a wonderful terrace with views of the Mulde Valley and numerous horses. The schnitzel and salmon dishes were tasty, reasonably large, and reasonably priced. A definite recommendation for a rest stop, but also for a larger celebration.

My birthday party was perfect all around!

We were in Höfgen for Mill Day and had a reservation for four people. Upon request, we were able to get our seats earlier. We waited an hour for our food, which we understood on that day. Our request to reorder the food was easily accommodated. We thought that was really great. Thank you for this service. We'll be happy to come back and recommend it to others. We wish the team continued success!

Top gastronomy! No need to say more.

Unfortunately the quality has declined. Nice ambience and great surroundings. But the quality of the food was better on a previous visit. The potato soup and the salmon pan were particularly subpar. It's a shame, because you shouldn't waste a location like this with the surrounding area by eating poorly prepared food. Unfortunately we won't be coming back for a while. Especially considering the new prices, it doesn't make sense. Then it's better to cook something yourself that tastes good for a quarter of the money.

We had a wonderful evening with a group of seven people in a private, lovingly furnished and decorated room called the Hühnerstall. The staff was very attentive and welcoming... The food was simply fantastic, beautifully presented, with filling portions. We haven't had such good food in a long time. Thank you very much

Very friendly and cheerful employee who served the delicious Easter meal. We were more than thrilled by the ambience and service. Price is higher but completely appropriate for the quality.

When we made our reservation we stated that we were celebrating our wedding anniversary. The table was set particularly nicely and the napkins were folded into a heart. The food came very quickly and was beautifully prepared. Although there was no vegan starter on the menu, one was prepared for me and I can also highly recommend the vegan main course.

The restaurant is a very harmonious overall concept. There were four of us and everyone was very satisfied.

The first thing that caught our attention was the restaurant's beautiful decor; everything feels modern yet cozy and rustic. The service was very quick and friendly, and we didn't have to wait long for our food. And the food itself was excellent. I had the Caesar salad with salmon, which I really enjoyed. Super friendly service in a very tastefully decorated, cozy atmosphere. Our seasoned deer meat, very generous portion and tastes fantastic. The outdoor area wasn't open yet, we know it from last year, it's spacious with a view towards the Mulde. Always happy again.

The inn is a very attractive location, friendly staff, great rural atmosphere. The only thing to complain about is the food. The starter soup and the main course were only lukewarm, that could certainly be better.

We ate here at the Wassermühle on Boxing Day and New Year's Day and were given a very friendly welcome. The different rooms radiate a lot of cosiness. Drinks ordered came immediately and there was something for everyone on the small menu. It was very nice that some of the dishes were served as senior portions. The very tasty food came very quickly and people often asked if everything was OK or if anything else was needed. Highly recommended are the seasoned deer meat, the roast deer and the schnitzel with mushrooms. We felt very comfortable, the service was very friendly and we were up for a bit of fun. One thing is clear, we will come back more often because we feel very comfortable here. A big thank you to everyone who gave us wonderful times over the two days. Food 5 stars Service 5 stars Ambience 5 stars I clicked on it, but didn't take it over.

A very cozy and warm inn near the beautiful Mulde. We came here for a café and cake after a short hiking trip and were really surprised. The warm food also looked good, next time we will definitely eat something hearty. I am happy.

We were there with 20 people for a birthday party (drinking coffee) and felt very comfortable. The staff was very friendly, the service was great. One of our guests (with a walker) particularly praised the disabled toilet, which was excellently equipped.

In contrast to Nimbschen Monastery, both the price/performance ratio and the friendliness of the staff are right here. Our own beer and homemade liqueur complete the overall package. Highly recommended.

Very nice restaurant, with many separate rooms and a large dining room in the roof. Delicious food from the small menu and seasonal dishes. Everything prepared with love. Not cheap but worth every cent.

My wife and I were guests at this restaurant last night and were absolutely overwhelmed! We were greeted by a nice kitchen employee on the ground floor who kindly pointed out to us that we would be served at the chaff bar that evening. A great, warm atmosphere awaited us upstairs and two ladies who were able to serve all guests in a friendly and courteous manner without stress. It should be noted here that the large dining room was almost completely occupied... The menu is adapted to the autumn season with great dishes, which we really liked. The dishes we ordered were all freshly prepared and very tasty! The price-performance ratio is absolutely justified here and we can only warmly recommend the restaurant! The bad reviews about the restaurant are all older and probably come from a time when the restaurant was run by a different owner. You don't need any detective skills to recognize this. Today we went on a nice hike in Grimma and the surrounding area, a nice surprise was the cuisine in the water mill, great food, friendly staff and a very nicely developed house, with a playground and a walker or balance bike, friendly path, I thought of all ages Have a wonderful Sunday, 🙏

Despite a reservation with a person in a wheelchair, a more or less suitable space was only cleared when we arrived, leaving hardly any room for maneuvering. When we asked, we were moved to a place that was easy to reach with a wheelchair but offered less space for service. It was almost impossible to eat enough, but there was the option of taking the rest with you. Unfortunately, there was a larger group of guests in the same room which filled the room with very good sound so that we could no longer understand our own words. We would have liked to have another dessert, but ended our visit because the noise was unbearable.

We went to a celebration at the Zur Wassermühle inn with a group of about 20 people on a Saturday evening. There is a parking lot right in front of the house, another, larger one about 5 minutes away on foot. There is a very pleasant atmosphere in the building as the rooms are decorated with wood and the lighting is warm but not too dim, but very pleasant. There are different rooms that have their own names. We were upstairs under the roof, where it wasn't full despite being a Saturday evening. We were there for coffee and dinner. The selection of cakes on the menu isn't too big, but it's completely sufficient. I had Saxon egg pie, which was very tasty. There is a larger selection for dinner, although for my taste there could be more vegetarian dishes on the menu. I had the Mediterranean pasta pan, which I highly recommend! The taste, the quantity and how it was prepared was really great. In my opinion it's rather expensive, but worth the money. We were accompanied by friendly and humorous service with an attentive team. Overall, a successful stay in a recommended guesthouse! Addendum: We had some older people with us who had some problems climbing stairs. I didn't notice an elevator, but I didn't pay attention to it either. You would have to ask.

At first glance we found the outdoor space inviting. Unfortunately you weren't allowed to stay here, but we were given an extra room in the guest room, so we had to ourselves. The service was very friendly, helpful, especially with the cakes on offer, thank you again, the coffee and also the cake tasted delicious. The atmosphere was inviting. Price/performance was okay.

Today we had a little family celebration in the pretty chicken coop. The water mill is quite cozy and the chicken coop is quite intimate with 10 people because you can close the door. The food tastes quite good, but the price is on the higher side. Good attentive service! I would be happy to see more vegan choices. One dish on the menu is not enough. Many thanks to the team. Really beautifully done. Great facility, great food, great staff. You'll be happy to come back there. There are different floors and "hidden" tables. The decoration is lovingly placed, with many interesting objects.

The spiced meat was really tasty and priced at the higher end. Unfortunately, the service leaves a lot to be desired and as a guest you feel more annoying than welcome. Unfortunately this happened again on the second visit. I hope the innkeeper takes the criticism as an opportunity for discussion within the team.

The Wassermühle restaurant offers everything a guest could wish for. Friendly staff, tasty food. A small but very attractive menu is offered. Apparently the food is freshly prepared. Nevertheless, we didn't have to wait long for our food. We found a very nice outdoor space in the middle of the Muldenaue nature. A small children's playground is also available. The high standard of the restaurant in a great ambience of nature and buildings justify the corresponding prices. The Wassermühle restaurant is a great destination or starting point for hikes.

Despite the school day celebration, I still got two cookies. Delicious plaice and tomato salad. For dessert, ice cream that was fresh and served with real whipped cream. Staff very friendly and attentive.

Not easy to find the parking lot, but it's possible. Food was good but I still saw (schnitzel with cauliflower) that there was fresh and older cauliflower on my plate. You can see that some of the florets were white and the others were pale and glassy. A bit sad for €27.50 I friendly service.
