A really lovely concept with the small Christmas market – lovingly designed and with a great atmosphere. This meant you didn't have to sit all evening and it was a varied and relaxing evening.

This was our second time dining here with the family, and we're still thrilled. The service is superb, the food is absolutely delicious, and the atmosphere is lovely. A small but charming Christmas market takes place in front of the inn on the first Sunday of Advent, offering delicious mulled wine and other treats.

A truly beautiful location – the wall design in the old ox stable is absolutely stunning. The staff and service were very friendly and attentive, and the food was simply delicious with a touch of "extravagance." This certainly won't be our last visit.

We were greeted warmly and without any hint of intrusiveness. Even the head chef brought the incredibly delicious dishes to our table. In the end, a simple glance with our waiter was all it took to communicate our preferences. A fantastic team and truly delicious, generously portioned food. We'll definitely be back.

Given the prices, we thought we were in a Michelin-starred restaurant, not a village eatery! Far too expensive! The food was tasteless and unseasoned. The service was lacking in smiles, unfortunately.

The service was very good and friendly, the ribs were very good and plentiful, the house beer was good and the herbal liqueur was good.

The spiced venison had a wonderful, distinctive flavor – truly delicious! I would only swap the white bread for a different kind. The ribs were as tender as butter and practically fell off the bone. They were served with delicious sauerkraut, rosemary potatoes, and sour cream – simply delicious. The service was super attentive and overall simply top-notch!

She was very cooperative, took the time to address our concerns, and made a positive impression with her friendly manner. The culinary focus encompasses German and Saxon cuisine. The dishes are prepared and presented with outstanding quality. The flavors are excellent and freshly prepared. The freshness of the ingredients used for the hollandaise sauce was unclear. Nevertheless, I can recommend this restaurant without reservation.

At lunchtime, we sat on the terrace in the perfect weather. The view was fantastic, and the interior also offered an appealing mix of rustic and modern. The food was very tasty, making the price justifiable. The service, especially from Ms. Wünscher, was unbeatable. I've rarely seen so much friendliness and professionalism in one person. Chapeau! We'd be happy to return and recommend it anytime.

We had reserved a table for dinner for a larger group. Given the beautiful, warm weather, we naturally wanted to sit on the terrace. However, since the interior was set, the waitress's enthusiasm was limited when we were seated at a free table outside. She made this clear to us with her behavior. Considering the prices, this was a no-go. That has nothing to do with hospitality. Nevertheless, praise goes to the chef. The food was truly delicious. However, we won't be visiting the restaurant again.

The restaurant in the historic mill has been beautifully restored and offers a wonderful terrace with views of the Mulde Valley and numerous horses. The schnitzel and salmon dishes were tasty, reasonably large, and reasonably priced. A definite recommendation for a rest stop, but also for a larger celebration.

We were in Höfgen for Mill Day and had a reservation for four people. Upon request, we were able to get our seats earlier. We waited an hour for our food, which we understood on that day. Our request to reorder the food was easily accommodated. We thought that was really great. Thank you for this service. We'll be happy to come back and recommend it to others. We wish the team continued success!

We had a wonderful evening with a group of seven people in a private, lovingly furnished and decorated room called the Hühnerstall. The staff was very attentive and welcoming... Unfortunately the quality has declined. Nice ambience and great surroundings. But the quality of the food was better on a previous visit. The potato soup and the salmon pan were particularly subpar. It's a shame, because you shouldn't waste a location like this with the surrounding area by eating poorly prepared food. Unfortunately we won't be coming back for a while. Especially considering the new prices, it doesn't make sense. Then it's better to cook something yourself that tastes good for a quarter of the money.

When we made our reservation we stated that we were celebrating our wedding anniversary. The table was set particularly nicely and the napkins were folded into a heart. The food came very quickly and was beautifully prepared. Although there was no vegan starter on the menu, one was prepared for me and I can also highly recommend the vegan main course.

The restaurant is a very harmonious overall concept. There were four of us and everyone was very satisfied.

Three of us spontaneously stopped by for lunch one Sunday and were very pleasantly surprised. The first thing that caught our attention was the restaurant's beautiful decor; everything feels modern yet cozy and rustic. The service was very quick and friendly, and we didn't have to wait long for our food. And the food itself was excellent. I had the Caesar salad with salmon, which I really enjoyed. The inn is a very attractive location, friendly staff, great rural atmosphere. The only thing to complain about is the food. The starter soup and the main course were only lukewarm, that could certainly be better.

We ate here at the Wassermühle on Boxing Day and New Year's Day and were given a very friendly welcome. The different rooms radiate a lot of cosiness. Drinks ordered came immediately and there was something for everyone on the small menu. It was very nice that some of the dishes were served as senior portions. The very tasty food came very quickly and people often asked if everything was OK or if anything else was needed. Highly recommended are the seasoned deer meat, the roast deer and the schnitzel with mushrooms. We felt very comfortable, the service was very friendly and we were up for a bit of fun. One thing is clear, we will come back more often because we feel very comfortable here. A big thank you to everyone who gave us wonderful times over the two days. Food 5 stars Service 5 stars Ambience 5 stars I clicked on it, but didn't take it over.

A very cozy and warm inn near the beautiful Mulde. We came here for a café and cake after a short hiking trip and were really surprised. The warm food also looked good, next time we will definitely eat something hearty. I am happy.

We were there with 20 people for a birthday party (drinking coffee) and felt very comfortable. The staff was very friendly, the service was great. One of our guests (with a walker) particularly praised the disabled toilet, which was excellently equipped.

In contrast to Nimbschen Monastery, both the price/performance ratio and the friendliness of the staff are right here. Our own beer and homemade liqueur complete the overall package. Highly recommended.

My wife and I were guests at this restaurant last night and were absolutely overwhelmed! We were greeted by a nice kitchen employee on the ground floor who kindly pointed out to us that we would be served at the chaff bar that evening. A great, warm atmosphere awaited us upstairs and two ladies who were able to serve all guests in a friendly and courteous manner without stress. It should be noted here that the large dining room was almost completely occupied... The menu is adapted to the autumn season with great dishes, which we really liked. The dishes we ordered were all freshly prepared and very tasty! The price-performance ratio is absolutely justified here and we can only warmly recommend the restaurant! The bad reviews about the restaurant are all older and probably come from a time when the restaurant was run by a different owner. You don't need any detective skills to recognize this. Despite a reservation with a person in a wheelchair, a more or less suitable space was only cleared when we arrived, leaving hardly any room for maneuvering. When we asked, we were moved to a place that was easy to reach with a wheelchair but offered less space for service. It was almost impossible to eat enough, but there was the option of taking the rest with you. Unfortunately, there was a larger group of guests in the same room which filled the room with very good sound so that we could no longer understand our own words. We would have liked to have another dessert, but ended our visit because the noise was unbearable.

We went to a celebration at the Zur Wassermühle inn with a group of about 20 people on a Saturday evening. There is a parking lot right in front of the house, another, larger one about 5 minutes away on foot. There is a very pleasant atmosphere in the building as the rooms are decorated with wood and the lighting is warm but not too dim, but very pleasant. There are different rooms that have their own names. We were upstairs under the roof, where it wasn't full despite being a Saturday evening. We were there for coffee and dinner. The selection of cakes on the menu isn't too big, but it's completely sufficient. I had Saxon egg pie, which was very tasty. There is a larger selection for dinner, although for my taste there could be more vegetarian dishes on the menu. I had the Mediterranean pasta pan, which I highly recommend! The taste, the quantity and how it was prepared was really great. In my opinion it's rather expensive, but worth the money. We were accompanied by friendly and humorous service with an attentive team. Overall, a successful stay in a recommended guesthouse! Addendum: We had some older people with us who had some problems climbing stairs. I didn't notice an elevator, but I didn't pay attention to it either. You would have to ask.
