I visited because I wanted to eat wurst during lunchtime. I loved the combination of the thick wurst, the savory mashed potatoes underneath, and the perfectly seasoned sour kraut on one neatly presented table! In particular, Koreans will be able to taste a happy meal that is not foreign!

I ate a knuckle of pork, and it was world-class. It would have deserved six stars. I've rarely eaten so well.

Thank you for helping me get out of my overload (autism). In that situation I was almost unable to read anything. Thank you for making it possible to order from you even without a menu. We took Rib ribs, it turned out to be frozen boiled meat (loin), we also took goulash, absolutely tasteless, with huge dumplings (boiled dough), in other places it is tender and tasty. In general, you can only eat mashed potatoes and cabbage. Perhaps other dishes are better, or maybe it's the Frankfurt style. Loses compared to Munich. Service is normal and fast.

Guys, it’s amazing place …. Only here I tried a real local food. Everything is delicious, beer is excellent… I know what I say … coz before we were in the city center and here was much better 🌸

After visiting a museum, we spontaneously went to this restaurant and were warmly welcomed right from the start. We were seated immediately and the service was exceptionally friendly and attentive. I was particularly impressed by the flexibility of the staff when my friend was promised a children's portion right at the table, even though she is not a child. This shows really great hospitality. The meal was a delight. My schnitzel was hot, fresh and crispy. The potatoes that came with it were a delicious potato salad with fresh spices. The chef personally came to our table to make sure everything was to our satisfaction - a really nice touch. For dessert we chose a lemon sorbet and an apple strudel with vanilla ice cream. The sorbet was simply perfect - intense in taste and refreshing and my friends also really enjoyed the apple strudel. I would particularly like to highlight the attentiveness of the staff when they asked me if they should leave out the "pour with sparkling wine" in the sorbet. That was a very respectful gesture. The cozy atmosphere with the beautiful lighting and jazz music rounded off the evening perfectly. Overall, it was a very pleasant and memorable visit. We'll definitely be back!

It was weekday afternoon, and there was no one around. We ordered soup, an egg pasta, pork knuckle and famous green sauce schnitzel. Slight tanginess (from green apple) nicely balances the flavor and elevates the dish to another level! Pork knuckle, another well-known dish was crispy and savory. Side mash was amazing. I was reluctant to try pork knuckle because I heard many bad rumors before comming to Germany, but I'm gald I tried at least once, and that was superb! Good ol' folks running the restaurant had great hospitality and we were able to enjoy great lunch here.

Delicious food and good quality, reasonable prices...

As a student studying in Frankfurt from Australia for the past week, I have made a large effort to try as much German food as possible and of all the places I’ve tried, this restaurant is the best. I’ve even come back twice. The gentleman who wears the button up shirt is very nice and welcoming and always ensures that my meals are great. The restaurant has a nice ambiance and the food is delicious. The mashed potato is the best I’ve ever had and the pork knuckle is super big and crunchy without being salty at all. Overall super happy and would definitely come back here if the opportunity to visit Frankfurt presents itself.

Great food! Great price! Great service! My wife and I went here after walking by. When a restaurant that was recommended to us by hotel staff was booked full. We ended up going back again for another meal and another for drinks. Near our hotel, great service, good portion size, great price.

The frankfurter schnitzel was very good. Plus a Bavaria wheat beer and the view of the iron bridge and the Main. The fried potatoes are excellent. Always my pleasure.

It's right in front of the river, so the view is great and the guy is friendly. I had frankfurter schnitzel, a beer, and spätzler, and it was a great restaurant. The green sauce is slightly sour, so it's delicious without being greasy. It would be perfect to take a walk along the Main River before or after eating.

I am thrilled with the delicious dish and great service. I ordered cheese spaetzle, pork knuckle and entrecóte. In my opinion, the knuckle, cheese spaetzle and steak are the best in my life. This restaurant can only be recommended.

Everything was just right here: the contact when making the reservation was very nice, the restaurant was cozy, the service was friendly and attentive and the food was freshly prepared and everyone enjoyed it. And on top of that, the price was very humane by Frankfurt standards. I can only warmly recommend the inn! I'm only annoyed about one thing: that I didn't order the very tasty beetroot salad that my wife had with her meal. :)

Very rustic traditional restaurant with incredibly delicious, freshly prepared food, Frankfurt and Hessian cuisine (I think), a great chef, very tasty, lovingly presented! The person behind the counter is also really nice. This evening was a complete success! If we are in Frankfurt again, we would love to come back!

On vacation in Frankfurt I was looking for a local restaurant and I was surprised by the quality of this one. Great dish and the cider is excellent I went back 2 days after eating there just to drink again

My friend had to go to the bathroom because of her period and was turned away twice by the waitress. This makes the café extremely unpleasant without ever having visited the restaurant.

I've been to the inn twice now and was very satisfied each time. The venison bratwurst with red cabbage and mashed potatoes was very good. The staff is always friendly and the prices are absolutely good. A solid home-style restaurant.

The owners were lovely and the atmosphere was very cosy and welcoming. Food was brilliant and definitely worth a try if you’re visiting the city. Desserts were also nice

Kaiserschmarrn cost around €9 last year and €16.50 this year!!!!!!! I find almost doubling the price very unusual. We were often here as a couple and back then you paid €30-40 for 1-2 drinks and two Kaiserschmarrn. You could treat yourself to this to satisfy your craving for something sweet outside. Now we would be around €50 for the same order if you just want to eat and drink something sweet outside. I find that very exaggerated. Especially since the dish consists of cheap ingredients such as mainly wheat and sugar, this abnormal price increase is not obvious.

The Wiener style schnitzel is the best I’ve had in all of Germany! The Apple gluhwein was also so delicious.

I was in the area by chance and saw that there was a new host. Grandma's beef salad tried with fried potatoes. Really delicious and definitely not the last meal. Update: Tried again in fall and still GREAT!

Wir waren gleich 2x da, weil es uns so gut gefallen hat. Eine klassische urige Frankfurter Kneipe mit sehr freundlichen Service und einer ausgesprochen gute Frankfurter Küche. Hervorragende, handgeklopfte, gebratene (nicht frittierte) Schnitzel aus regionaler Produktion. Super Bratkartoffeln dazu und als Krönung: DIE GREEN SOSS. Die legendäre Grüne Sosse mit den klassischen 7 Kräutern. Es hat so unglaublich gut geschmeckt. Meine Frau hatte dazu die Ochsenbrust. Zart und lecker. Außerdem gab es eine Limonade mit den 7 Kräutern der Grünen Sosse. Wir können dieses schöne Wirtshaus nur empfehlen. Einfach über den Eisernen Steg und dann, auf der anderen Straßenseite schrarf links. Schon ist man da und wird nicht enttäuscht. Die Lokalität öffnet 12.00 Uhr.

Quaint restaurant in close proximity to the old town and tourist attractions. Nice service and good selection at fair prices. I dared and tried a hand cheese. Tastes horrible. But you have to discover it for yourself ;) We'll be happy to come back.

Very nice inn! The food tasted great and the prices are okay!

I happened to visit this place when it was time to eat. I was a little nervous because it was my first restaurant in Germany, but fortunately the owner was friendly. Two women ate frankfurter schnitzel, mixed salad, and pumpkin soup, but we were full. If I had eaten dessert with a drink like the Germans do, I would have been full. The salad had a sweet and sour taste and was very refreshing. When I looked up Frankfurt Schnitzel later, I found out that the sauce on top was a green sauce from the Hessen region. It's salty, so it's delicious when dipped in potatoes.

We were always here the last two times we were in Frankfurt and are still at peace. The food is very authentic and delicious. The cider just as good. It's better to reserve in advance, especially if there are trade fairs or events in town. The service was very nice and attentive!

My wife and young daughter were denied access to the toilet even though they wanted to pay for it. They then claimed, in a very derogatory and condescending tone, that their toilets were broken and that they should use the public toilets opposite (which were still closed). This “service” only suggests the rest of this restaurant, which is certainly just as inedible as the bitter old lady behind the counter.

Excellent traditionnal restaurant located just in front of the iron bridge. With typical German cooking. I would advise the "Frankfurter Schnitzel" with a side salad and the local beer ! The restaurant is calm and small. Price for that meal was reasonable @ 30 euros. The service is fast and professional.

For 16 EUR or similar there was a maximum of 100 gr in my salad with chicken breast. Chicken shreds... The different schnitzel variants from our colleagues, however, looked good. The outdoor area on the busy street and between parked cars didn't convince me either.

We went there to eat after arriving in Frankfurt (went there on vacation a month ago). The host was very nice (despite me trying my best with my terribly broken german) the food was delicious and we weren't hurried out of the restaurant despite us taking our time to eat and being the last customers. It is very conveniently located, near the iron bridge and the atmosphere is authentic! Me and my family had a great time! (The host also very kindly put the candles my mom brought to celebrate my sisters' birthday on her dessert :)

A few minutes' walk from the old town, just over the Eiserner Steg (pedestrian bridge) you come directly to the restaurant. Fresh, good cuisine away from fries and convenience - just really good. There are regional and German dishes at normal prices and a great wine selection. The dining room is rustic and cozy and there is also an outdoor area. Absolutely recommended.

Beautiful inn in a great location directly on the Museumsufer and the Eiserner Steg with a view of Mainhattan. We had a schnitzel with green sauce and the beer goulash, both highly recommended! The wine was well chilled, as a Rheinhessen my eyelid always twitches a little when it is poured exactly on Eich, but the Hessians don't know any better ;o) Nice people, everything is great!

We wanted to take a table. But first we wanted to go to the toilet because we had been out since midday and had an intestinal illness. After we came from the toilet we were told that we had to ask for it. A very authentic German restaurant. The two German owners are very friendly. The kitchen owner cooks all the dishes himself. The pork knuckle in this restaurant can be said to be unrivaled in the world.

Nice restaurant right on the Main. The service was very nice and accommodating. We ordered several drinks, hand cheese with music, a knuckle and a small dessert. All dishes were very tasty. We especially enjoyed the knuckle. Overall, a nice evening.

The owner asked us to move even though we had already been cashed in and said we were leaving. That was unnecessary. We were brought 2 bruschettas instead of one.

First of all, I did NOT eat there. It's about another incident: I was out with a group of girls on a Saturday afternoon. I urgently had to go to the toilet and there wasn't one in sight - except for a locked Dixi. I saw this restaurant, walked in and went straight to the counter and asked sincerely and kindly: "May I please use the toilet here, I'm happy to pay one euro?"... The taller, older man, with graying hair (I assume it was the innkeeper) answered seriously: "Give me 2 euros!"... I admit, I was taken aback - but didn't say anything else because I had to so urgently and was ready to pay 2 euros...so I took my backpack off my back to get another euro...then he pushed the sentence, "And if it doesn't suit you, then go somewhere else"! I then asked what this sentence was supposed to mean, after all I was just about to pay the 2 euros for going to the toilet - when I asked this question, he threw me out!!! "You can go and find something else!" I'm still perplexed. The store was neither full nor was I unfriendly. In my opinion there was no reason to reject me. This is about a basic need in which women are simply at a much greater disadvantage because we can't pee "hidden" everywhere and a landlord who so brazenly exploits his status at that moment. This feels really demeaning. I went 20 meters further into a French restaurant, this nice gentleman not only let me AND a friend use the toilet, but also showed with a hand gesture that we could leave the euro in! I'm not judging the food and ambience here, but... Helpfulness and humanity! It's terrible to even have to write such a review.

Very nice place, the waiters are very friendly, they recommend you well and the treatment is very good. The recommended dishes are very delicious.

If you cross the iron footbridge in Frankfurt, you will find the restaurant of the same name on the other side of the Main. The menu offers delicious Frankfurt specialties and a good selection of drinks... traditionally, you eat Frankfurter Schnitzel with Äppelwoi and then a medlar. The innkeepers are very friendly and accommodating and the prices are absolutely fair compared to the other side of the Main.

To put it politely, let's just say the waiter wasn't exactly friendly. He thought it was wrong that when we brought us coffee we asked for a bottle of water. When I asked him for a coffee that he hadn't brought us the first time, he said, "Are you sure?" And when I went to ask him for a packet of sugar for that coffee that he had brought us without a spoon and with nothing, he almost scolded me. When paying, he did not allow us to pay by card, although he had the dataphone on the bar, right in front of me. At least the toilets were clean.

Nice little inn with very friendly service. Small, fine selection of regional dishes. The food was very tasty, good quality, no convenience products. We had a very tasty goulash, great herring and great schnitzel with a very good green sauce and delicious homemade fried potatoes. The price-performance ratio is good, absolutely recommended if you want something rustic.

Although the food was pretty good and I can’t complain, one of the waiters there showed really ignorant and racist behaviour which is unacceptable. I am someone who never writes a review but this experience just made the whole place a no go for anyone who is a foreigner here I guess… The man needs some education!

We had dinner there on Saturday evening. The food was super delicious. The side salad in particular is a dream. And despite it being busy, the service was friendly and attentive.

This is a very good restaurant, the food tasted phenomenal, top quality! The nice thing is that there are many tourist restaurants in Frankfurt that cook poorly. This restaurant is also touristy in terms of location but still has great quality! Keep it up! Nice staff and there is also light beer.

Wir waren vergangenen Freitag mit Freunden zu fünft im neu eröffneten Gasthaus am Rosengarten im Westpark zum Mittagessen, u.a. ich im Rollstuhl. Der Service hat perfekt geklappt, obwohl wir bereits eine Woche zuvor reserviert hatten. Uns wurde extra ein Platz angeboten, der für Rollstuhl besonders geeignet war. Die Wirtinnen und das Servicepersonal waren äußerst freundlich und zuvorkommend, auch dann, als wir kleine Sonderwünsche äußerten. Man hatte rundum das Gefühl, dass man hier herzlich willkommen ist. Fast jeder von uns hat etwas anderes gegessen und alle waren mit ihrer Wahl rundum zufrieden. Besonders gefallen hat mir die liebe volle und phantasievolle Auswahl vieler Beilagen, z.B. Petersilienkartoffeln zum Wiener Schnitzel und Gulasch vom Rind mit Serviettenknödel. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

rude staff. I went in to ask if I can buy something to use the bathroom instead. They agreed and I bought a water for 3.5€. When I came back from the toilet they told me “this is not a public bathroom, do not come here again”. If this place would be the last one on Earth I’d rather start hunting than eating there! They could easily say no instead of being this rude!
