Best chicken I have ever eaten, very satisfied

It used to be really great. Now it's just a money-making machine: you order something. The waitress writes it down, and that's happened twice now. She wrote something down and didn't bring it. The staff always try to avoid eye contact. It's impossible for customers to order something else. The food is 99% oil. It doesn't taste the same as it used to. Unfortunately, this was my last visit.

I have been eating at this restaurant since 2008, the flavor remains unchanged, the recipe is unbeatable, I drive an hour to eat there, I recommend it to everyone, the quality/price ratio is good.

Hello, The organization is a disaster. Ordered food and waited just over half an hour. Then the half chicken arrived, but without fries. These arrived 10 minutes later. That speaks volumes. The waitress didn't respond either. No apology or anything else. It was relatively empty, so I can't understand why this happened. Something definitely needs to change. We didn't really feel welcome either.

Today was another absolute disaster. Nothing was going right, the food arrived way too late. On top of that, they've been extremely skimping on the chicken sauce and garlic dip – I've complained about them the last two times, but nothing's improved. On top of that, there were raw fries that weren't brought until after the meal. A complete gamble and simply a disgrace.

I'm on a business trip to Rhineland-Palatinate, and when I pick up food, it's always good here. The food is very tasty, but of course, you have to wait a long time. I never eat here alone; I always pick up food; that's the quickest way. The staff are nice; they really don't have an easy job. I highly recommend it, but don't come here on weekends; it gets very crowded.

A horrible disaster, we waited 2 hours before having something to eat, I've never seen anything like it. No one knows what to do, everyone is running around, total panic, a word of advice: move on, plus they don't seem to appreciate French customers, too bad, but the food is good.

I'm almost grateful to be allowed to drink such a bad, stale beer – thanks to you, I appreciate every beer, no matter how warm it is! The food was practically drenched in grease and not particularly good! So, all in all, -5*. It was a wild, adventurous trip! The waitresses were nice, though!

Friendly staff, but when it's busy, it takes a little longer. Which is understandable when it's busy. Unfortunately, that happens quite often. What sets the 3 Mohren apart is their good food! And as I said: All the salads and vegetables are fresh and hand-made. I highly recommend the 3 Mohren.

While the restaurant's ambiance is inviting, the food didn't quite measure up. The chicken was too fatty and tasted bland. Furthermore, the texture was rather dry, which made the entire dish inedible. The side dishes weren't particularly special either – the fries were soggy. The salads were tasty, but €6.50 for five baked mushrooms... The service was friendly, and the staff present that day passed by the tables several times. Still, it's a shame for a restaurant where you've loved eating since you were a child.

Wait 1h30 to get only half of the order then wait 20min for the rest

Really disappointed by the service, an hour and a half wait as well as the chicken which is no longer as good as before. We have been coming for fifteen years, have you changed cooks? The taste is really different, very dry, very salty, nothing to do with before and yet I have tried three times since the beginning of the year. No commercial gesture also for the wait. I do not recommend this restaurant at all.

Great chicken at a great price!! Super affordable at 8€ ish per person and it really is a lot of food. Service was ok. We went with a big group and called ahead of time to make sure there was space. They told us to come at 8pm so we delayed our plans, but when we got there they were totally unprepared for us and made us wait another 15min items while they moved people around. For the salad, the roasted vegetables came in a party form. Not was I was expecting, but super delicious! AWARE: Be aware that drinks are expensive and there is no free water. They don’t take card, only cash.

The chicken was almost dry as a fart, only edible on the outside, but the chicken sauce and garlic dip were good. The salad was also so-so, so we really expected more. We thought we'd give it another chance because we heard it was coming to Gockelburg, but we were totally disappointed again. Waiting times and service...?!? They have no idea what's going on here. The dip takes another 10 minutes to arrive with the chicken, and the special sauce we ordered with it is still waiting for 20 minutes, even after the plates have been cleared away...

I vented my anger, paid for the entire order, and left the restaurant. I found the behavior of the lady I paid particularly regrettable. As always, delicious! Service was friendly and accommodating. The outdoor ambiance was okay, but unfortunately, it was very sunny despite the umbrellas. Since card payments aren't accepted, I had to run to the bank after dinner... which wasn't so nice. Still, there are plenty of plus points (if you have cash on you) ;)

Great chicken. Be sure to make a reservation on weekends, especially in winter when the lovely beer garden is closed. Unfortunately, there are occasional staffing issues, so it might take a few minutes longer. But it's worth the wait.

It's a typical restaurant and I think that in Europe chicken doesn't need to be halal.... If some people don't like it, they can always change or leave....

I regularly order takeaway from Gasthaus Drei Mohren in Kandel and am very satisfied every time. The chicken and chicken wings are always fresh and taste great - simply delicious! The staff is always friendly, which makes visiting or picking up something very pleasant. The ambience in the inn itself could be a bit more modern or cozy, but for me the quality of the food clearly outweighs it. Absolutely recommended!

On Sunday evening I ordered four halfs and picked them up myself and two were normal and two I said were sheep. All four of them were completely normal without being spicy. This isn't the first time these mistakes have happened to you. I'm sorry I won't order from you anymore because the chicken is very small and not like it used to be

The shop used to be our absolute favorite - the chicken was big, juicy and absolutely fair in price. Unfortunately, a lot has changed in the meantime: the portions have become significantly smaller, which is no longer really appropriate given the increased prices. Even the spiciness that we always ordered extra is hardly there anymore - although we point it out every time. It's a shame, because we were there regularly and were always very satisfied. Unfortunately, we no longer feel as taken care of as we used to.

Mega good chicken with the best garlic dip! Absolute recommendation!

We ordered food to pick up on Friday. I wanted to try the stuffed champions. But honestly for €6.50 it's a bit cheeky and you can see the full portion in the picture. Unfortunately, the rest of the food ended up in the bag to be picked up so that the garlic dip had risen and the rest of the things on the outside were dripping with it. On the phone, instead of 1x fries, 3x fries were accidentally made. There is always a lot going on there, but more attention should also be paid to picking up food.

My daughter-in-law invited us to the Gasthaus 3 Mohren for her birthday. She had reserved a table for 7 people. When we got there there was no table available and on top of that we were left behind, standing around in the entrance area while the service staff ran past us. We found it very rude, customer-unfriendly and will definitely never go there again. We have never experienced this in an inn!

So the chicken is really, really tasty. But the service and the cheeky employees are amazing. Reserved 3 times specifically for 10 people and again no space. We were still being bullied and told to wait outside (with a baby). The reservation was made at 5:30 p.m. and at 6 p.m. we were still standing and were sent outside. I can't say anything more about it.

I went there twice within two months. I ordered half a chicken and got the medium-spicy version, but each time I got a regular one. That shouldn't happen, especially since the waitress went straight to the kitchen after I ordered. Otherwise, the chicken was okay.

I am extremely disappointed with the “3 Mohren” guesthouse. I ordered medium spicy and extra fried chicken and fries to take away. What I got was a disaster: the chicken came completely cooked normally, without any seasoning or special preparation, and the fries were simply forgotten. I drove from Karlsruhe to Kandel, invested time and money, only to realize when I got home that my order was completely wrong. Something like this is absolutely unacceptable, especially from such a long distance. Anyone expecting quality and care here will be bitterly disappointed!

“Hmmmm... Delicious!” 😋🍗 For me it's an insider tip when it comes to eating grilled chicken. The spices of the chicken are uniquely flavored and the meat is tender and delicious. I even enjoyed eating the meat from the breast. The service was friendly. I would deduct half a star for the ambience, as it was a bit dusty on the windows and the decorative figures (as you can imagine, chickens in various designs). However, two additional stars for accommodating gluten intolerance and bringing your own gluten-free bread. They even brought out the private toaster to toast the bread. Thank you very much for your courtesy, it made the chicken even tastier than it already was. 6.5 out of 5 stars. ;-)

Called the same evening to make a reservation, which assured us we would get a spot. When we arrived after a 30-minute journey, no one cared about how they could help us. After someone finally felt addressed by the service, I was informed that reservations would only be accepted for groups of 10 or more people. When I pointed out that this should also be communicated to the employees who take the calls, they were simply left standing in the middle of the conversation. Not only do the staff not have the ability to communicate as a team, they also don't know how to behave towards customers. Never again!

The restaurant of my childhood, I’ve been going to it since I was little! We go at least twice a month, 1 hour drive but it's worth it, their sauce is exceptional, the chicken is inimitable, the salad looks simple at first but lots of ingredients are hidden at the bottom, it's just divine !! On the other hand, the only downside is that: 1. You can't pay by credit card so you always have to remember to withdraw money 2. There are often errors in the bill... you should always check the receipt!

The food is very tasty but the service is a disaster. Called 15-20 minutes in advance to order and pick up. They said on the phone that everything would be ready in 15 minutes. The order was forgotten. On site we were told that the boss had personally accepted the order and yet had forgotten to tell us... We had to wait 15-20 minutes in the rain for the food because the shop was completely full.
