Much hoped for, nothing delivered. Customers are not wanted. Half the restaurant was free and we would have generated plenty of sales, but we were expressly unwelcome.

Unfortunately, the food was only lukewarm and two dishes came to the table too late. However, the atmosphere was great. Lots of Rhinelanders there and Cologne music, which I've never heard in Cologne. :-)

An amazing restaurant with great food an lovely staff. We booked to go on our first night in berlin and loved it so much we went back two days later. Great range of dishes from beef stew, and pork schnitzel to curry wurst. Thoroughly recommend

Na een lange dag door Berlijn toeren, opsteken bij Gaffelhous. We werden snel bediend (wel een beetje bazig) het eten was erg lekker. Springrol met zalm, wiener snitschel en groot stuk varkensbout. We hebben ons maar niet aan t toetje gewaagd, wat er wel heerlijk uitzag, maar ook erg vullen. De koffie was daarintegen erg welkom.Toilet was netjes en schoon. Zeker een aanrader!

Roasted pork knuckle with sauerkraut was excellent 👌👍👍 roasted potatoes with crushed bacon and salad absolutely awesome, really good service and friendly atmosphere,the staff were very professional and absolutely kind. I came back after one year and it was even better 😋😋... Back in Berlin for the holidays(10/24) and back again to my favorite German restaurant I love this place...♥️♥️

Unkompliziertes Restaurant wo viel los ist. Die Speisen entsprechen dem Erwarteten. Professionelle und freundliche mitarbeiter/innen. Die Grösse und damit verbundene Lärmentwicklung geht leider etwas zu Lasten der Gemütlichkeit.

Everyone was excited. We had reserved the Ludwig Erhard room for our family celebration with 21 people. The preparation, food and service were outstanding. There was something for everyone. Everything tasted good. The service was very attentive and courteous. A big thank you to the entire team.

Clean pub with great bier . The athmosphere was kind of mixture of german and british pub. If you want to have a solid pub where to go, this is one of those pubs!

This is a real institution in Berlin. The food so far has always been of excellent quality. Service is always very quick, polite and respectful, not always a given in Berlin. Furnishings are very successful for a Cologne brewery.

I had the scnitzel with mash and i think its called zigeurner sauce. Food was delicious and the location is now saved on my google maps, cos next time im back there this is definitely gonna be my main eating place. Rasperry and mascopony desert was delicious

Still very kölsch (for Berlin ;-)). The reservation discussion - but only for 2 hours! - didn't really make me feel welcome, but somehow we were allowed to stay seated and thanks to the friendly service it was a magical evening.

Another culinary favorite in Berlin. Last restaurant before leaving for France and excellent choice. The place is beautiful, authentic and cozy. The welcome was exceptional. We enjoyed the dishes served. What can I say except thank you and recommend without hesitation.

Great Schnitzel, great beer, great ambiance.

We had reserved and that was a good thing! Because when we arrived at the restaurant we saw that guests had to be turned away. The reservation was made via “Open Table” and that worked perfectly because we even got the table we wanted. From the greeting to the farewell, we were treated very friendly and the service was professional. Our waiter had a lot to run with when the house was full, it was tough - without a doubt! This didn't dampen his spirits and we felt welcome at all times. In addition, attractive rooms and a guaranteed supply of beer until the lid is placed on the glass. The food came promptly and we enjoyed it very much. Nothing more is possible, thank you very much!

In the bar, where everyone was so loud and we couldn't hear each other, we were rudely warned to be quieter (we're not loud people at all) and our joy was unnecessarily dampened. We tried to talk to the bartender and he was even more rude at this point.

A great restaurant, always fun! The staff is friendly, the beer is great, the food is always fresh and incredibly good and an atmosphere like in Cologne! I can recommend it to everyone, the best restaurant in Berlin with the Cologne flair.

Possibly one of best currywurst, held back by the wurst. The curry and chips were outstanding, and full of flavor. The wurst looked and tasted bland, with a mediocre firmness. Perhaps it was designed to accommodate the flavorful curry better, but I personally think there is room for improvement with the wurst.

Very pleasant and polite staff who pay attention to everyone, even the youngest visitors. Large hall, there are tables outside. The menu is in different languages, there is also a menu in Russian (you need to clarify this point with the waiters). I was glad that the kitchen is open until 23:00. Among the ordered dishes: Solyanka, knuckle, schnitzel and bratwurst. Solyanka is delicious. The shank was very tasty, with a crispy crust. Schnitzel is not bad. Bratwurst was very salty.

Small selection of beer, prices above average. But the place is atmospheric and the service is fast. In general, in Berlin you can find much more interesting places, with lower prices, cheaper and tastier food.

I have been a guest at this brewery in Berlin several times. As a Cologne resident, I am always amazed at how good the food is there. For me, outside of Cologne, this is the best Cologne brewery cuisine I've ever had. The service is terrific This is a brewery where you simply feel good! Anyone from Cologne who is in Berlin and wants a feeling of home simply goes there. Because he feels at home there again I'm already looking forward to my next visit

Classic brewery with beer and good German food. We were here in a group of six. Fast and good service. The beer was great and the food was good. The only thing to point out is that the room is a little too bright. It is not as dark as one might expect from a beer bulge. Or was everything perfect.

Koreans! Here it is, it's not salty, the price is reasonable, the meat is crispy, and the curry wurst is delicious. Especially the french fries are the best!! Even though it's quick and easy, a lot of locals come here. There is no tip and they are friendly.

Gapel Beer House located in the city center of Berlin. Since it stays open quite late, it's a good place to grab dinner. There are many different types, the prices are reasonable, ranging from 10 to 20 euros, and the beer is also affordable. The interior is large and spacious if you wish, but the outdoor atmosphere is best. There aren't many places where you can enjoy beer properly in Berlin, but this is the best option.

Te machtig Duits eten , verder geen keus , enkel Duits zwaar eten. Als je er van houdt , prima! Ik kan er niets meer over vertellen, want had 20 Duitse bieren op!

Was looking for a lunch spot after returning from a tour that dropped me off at the nearby train station . Glad I found this place. Friendly welcome, with English spoken. Good choice on the menu. I had the black pudding which was very nice. Good home brew style beer too. Good value.

Un bellissimo locale vicino alla porta di Brandeburgo , davvero elegante e arredato con estremo gusto, anche i bagni! la proposta culinaria è ampia ma eccellono i piatti tedeschi, in particolare il cordon bleu e la carne di maiale. Ottima la Kölsch, una birra ad alta fermentazione, dal gusto particolare (tipica appunto di Köln) ma non mi sono perso la Weiss della Paulaner alla spina. Spettacolare! Servizio estremamente gentile e rapporto qualià/prezzo (visto anche dove è situato) molto buono. Un bel ricordo di Berlino l'ultimo giorno di permanenza.

We were there on Friday and Saturday and we really enjoyed it on FRIDAY. Service was very friendly, responded to customer requests, food and drink were very good. For this reason we went on Saturday. Unfortunately the service was not very friendly and rude. We wanted the same drink as on Friday, unfortunately the Saturday service said that this was not available. We just said that we had received this here on Friday. Then the waitress: That doesn't exist here and she'll look at who was on duty yesterday and she'll be fired!!!! We very much hope that this is not the case and would like to apologize to the nice "Friday service". We then left the restaurant and found a very nice, friendly Berlin pub one street further! By the way: it was a “saurer Radler” (= soda beer; is a common drink here in Austria)

Very cozy restaurant on a quiet side street. The food was excellent, especially the sauerbraten is highly recommended! The order was very quick and the service was very friendly :)

My partner & I were not shown to a table...told to sit anywhere outside. The only table available had not been cleared and we sat there for a full 5/6 minutes before the waitress appeared and took away two dirty plates (used glasses still left on the table). She didn't engage in any conversation. Then 2 minutes later another waiter appeared and asked if we wanted to order a beer! No apology for the wait or for not clearing the table. We left without ordering anything as it was clear the restaurant was not interested in serving their customers.

Was advised to sit wherever we wanted. No one came to serve us. Gave up waiting and went elsewhere. Appalling service. Staff didn't seem to give a monkeys

Poor waitress/waiter attitude. Ham was very dry and not cheap. Rather go elsewhere with better service.

Perfect ambience for a Cologne brewery in Berlin. Great, rustic, originally cozy. Very personable, friendly and courteous employees. Extremely accommodating even in the event of supposed misunderstandings. My recommendation would be 10 stars

Terrible impression. I can't even rate the food because we weren't allowed inside. When I asked a table for 2 to have dinner in English, the woman (whoever she is, either a waitress or a manager) replied smth quite aggressively in German. When I asked her if she spoke English and then I repeated my question about the table, she showed me with gestures that we couldn't. I asked if the reason was because it was too late and the kitchen was closed, she told me in English that there were no tables available. Behind us a group of 4 young men were waiting. They asked the women smth in German and she kindly welcomed them inside. I saw a few free tables. It was raining. And she spoke rudely and just left a disabled person in the street. I find it totally unacceptable.

Best beer in Berlin and one of the best I’ve tried , Gaffel. Service was great, food was lovely, went there 2 out of 3 days of our stay in Berlin. By the river. Really lovely place, we stayed outside but looks pretty cool inside also

I ate very well, the rosbif melted in my mouth and the mayonnaise was fantastic. I would go back immediately and for the people at the Maritim hotel it was a unique emotion.

A Cologne pub in Berlin that will amaze even the most loyal Berliner-Plörre beer fan. The Cologne atmosphere is downright infectious, even if the Kölsch served brings back memories of headaches. The waiter is brisk and funny, and the Halve Hahn brings a smile. An entertaining evening with plenty of Kölsch, which traditionally causes a slight headache. Sausage grill! It's hard! The skin isn't crispy, but it feels firm. The accompanying fries were perfectly boiled. Sauerkraut is warm and slightly sour. The sauce feels like a lighter stew. Salad comes with mild dressing! it was delicious! =Total €27.9 The rice was very delicious! The staff are busy, so they have to push you to order quite a bit. sorry. It was a quiet early evening. But the food was good and the brewery beer was great!

We both had a very good Wiener Schnitzel, the kind you don't get very often outside of Vienna. Service was very friendly, the ambience was somehow "Rhineish", you don't necessarily have to like it.

...a really nice “Kölsch” pub. We were there with 5 people and ate and drank deliciously. The Gaffelkölsch is highly recommended. The waitresses were all very friendly and always had eye contact, so there was no shortage of it. I can highly recommend it to anyone looking for hearty food and drinks in a relaxed atmosphere.

Unfortunately, my friends and I did not have a good experience at this restaurant. The waiter was abrasive and unfriendly, and seemed quite annoyed that we had a small child with us. He kept speaking to my friends in German, even though it was clear they did not understand the language - and his English was very good. We ordered water, which never arrived. Upon re-ordering, there were no glasses provided (and we ended up getting charged twice). The table was also missing forks for our meal. The food itself was edible, but not great. Overall, we felt very unwelcome and the rude behavior of the waiter actually caused us quite a bit of stress during our visit. I would not recommend this restaurant based on our experience.

Wir waren im Gaffel Haus zum Abendessen und können es nur empfehlen. Das Restaurant ist liebevoll und gemütlich eingerichtet und ein bisschen kölsche Art ist auch dabei. Der Service war immer sehr freundlich und auf Zack. Das Essen hat uns sehr gut geschmeckt. Alles war frisch zubereitet und dazu ein frisches Kölsch. Was will man mehr! Kartenzahlung war hier (was in Berlin leider nicht selbstverständlich ist) überhaupt kein Problem. Fazit: Lecker, gemütlich und gut - gerne wieder!

Great German food for a decent price. Unlike other restaurants, they did not add service charge on the bill, and asked us instead. We of course tipped them for good food and good service.

Lovely food but ask for a drink they gave me another one , send it back and they still charge me for it , claiming and told me i served it u pay. Is a shame as the food was ok.

Everything was ok, but unfortunately we were probably not welcome to CELEBRATE with our carnival party of 30 people. Staff great, boss not. I am very disappointed
