Fischers Fritz in Heringsdorf

The dining room was nicely decorated, but it lacked coziness, partly because it wasn't very warm. The food was good, though. I wouldn't come back again.

We ate dinner on the evening of November 2nd, 2025. The food was delicious and the service was attentive. However, our menus were crumpled, probably had gotten wet at some point, and were partially illegible. Not a pretty sight and a bad advertisement for the restaurant.

Delicious food, everyone should try it. The staff is simply fantastic. A must-visit if you're ever in Ahlbeck. Next year, however, they're moving to Heringsdorf. Keep up the good work! 😃😃😃

3 days on the Baltic Sea and 2 dinners here. Everything was absolutely delicious and freshly prepared. Great atmosphere. Highly recommended. Young team that does a really great job. We even stopped by again during the day for two fish sandwiches. As the sign at the stall suggested, we quickly went into the restaurant and were immediately served two delicious fish sandwiches. 😋 In the evening (end of October), there were no free tables in the restaurant, which says it all. Thanks for the two lovely evenings. 😍

Conclusion: Disappointing! We had reserved a table and were really looking forward to it. Then came the first disappointment. The waiters didn't seem very friendly, even listless. We ordered halibut and plaice. Well, you expect the fish to be perfectly prepared in a fish restaurant. Unfortunately, it wasn't. It was lightly seasoned, downright bland, and the crispy skin looked completely different. On top of that, it was carelessly presented... - In the meantime, the staff treated themselves to a shot (in front of the guests), then smoked outside, and then another shot. - Nobody even bothered to look after the guests. I think gastronomy should be experienced entirely differently. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant.

On the first day, we wanted to buy a fish sandwich from the stand outside - unfortunately, no one was there - another customer told us they were out of sandwiches and had to get some. We left. On day 2, we went in for dinner. Conclusion - an 80s-style restaurant with average service and average food. I had the fish roulade with tagliatelle, which was okay but not outstanding. In my opinion, the prices are too high for the quality. There was no tiramisu because the lady who made it was sick and no one else can make it. After the meal, we felt like we were more or less catapulted out because they needed our table to avoid having to seat a group of four at a table for six. On day 3, we gave the fish sandwiches another chance, but they were also slapped down on us without much care. We ordered one without onions because of an allergy, but we almost noticed it because the clerk was more busy fiddling with his phone than serving us, the only customers. So Fischer's Fitz is definitely no longer an option for us.

The staff seemed unmotivated. The food resembled a snack bar. The sauce for the fried herring was tasteless and so thick that it would have been more fitting for a pudding. I can't recommend the restaurant.

We highly recommend this place! In addition to the fantastic staff, who were extremely friendly, polite, and fun, we also enjoyed the food. We ate there with 25 people, and the table was set appropriately and lovingly for the occasion. The staff are truly attentive and check regularly to see if you need anything else. The portions are a decent size, so you'll really feel full without being overly overeating. They also managed to serve all 25 meals at the same time, which isn't always a given. This is a really good place to go and get good food from a great staff.

Delicious food, friendly service

Unfortunately, the terrace remains closed despite the sunshine. Ordering inside for pickup outside (two salads) is also not possible. It's a real shame, as it's a nice restaurant in a good location.

An excellent, authentic fish restaurant! We had a great time with live music and delicious food – the decor was just what we were looking for. :)

We received a friendly welcome at Fischers Fritz in Ahlbeck and, even though we hadn't made a reservation, found space for two people and a dog. A bowl of water was immediately placed at the table for the dog. The drinks and food arrived without a long wait. The portions were a decent size and tasted very good. We were asked after the meal if everything was to our satisfaction. So, we had a thoroughly good experience.

We went to this restaurant today. Unfortunately, we can't recommend this "restaurant" in good conscience. The seasoned meat was more like meat baked with cheese and was... dry. The fish soup had never seen fish before, and the bruschetta with herring was more like a grain baguette with herring. Simply abysmal.

We went to Fischer's Fritz in Heringsdorf and were very dissatisfied. As we're not fish connoisseurs, we were served the wrong dish. We ordered cod and received a so-called fish plate, which was €7 more expensive. When we politely pointed this out, the waiter became very rude and accused us of being a scam. I don't recommend this restaurant. That's a great way to rip people off.

For all those who like fish they are just right, there is a lot of public traffic on the pier

I'm sure I'd like it even better if there was less mass processing.

Highly recommended. We didn't eat there, though. But there was live music on a Monday and the atmosphere was great.

As a guest, I expect to be appreciated – unfortunately, that wasn't my experience here. My order was mixed up, and when I politely pointed this out, I was treated very rudely. This shouldn't happen in the restaurant industry. I'm aware that working in the restaurant industry isn't easy, but that's precisely why treating guests with respect is all the more important. The food was okay, but nothing more. Overall, I was unfortunately disappointed by the experience.

Can't remember everything was great, gladly again

Our drink was expired, and despite clearly requesting individual billing, we all had to pay the total bill ourselves. The waitress was quite unfriendly. There were also language/communication problems. The waiter made it clear to us that we were complicated.

We were there for dinner 4 days ago Time: 5:00 PM We were seated After being handed the menu, we sat for a while without any further service from the staff member. She was sitting next to the entrance with her colleague, enjoying a coffee and a cigarette, in complete peace! The fish was overcooked; when we pointed it out, we were told to pass it on to the kitchen – that was it. Questionable service – there are definitely better restaurants. We will consider avoiding this restaurant in the future.

Very disappointing service! After being brought the menu and told that only drinks were available, I waited over 20 minutes for someone to finally take my order – but nothing happened. Instead, the waiters just stood around at the bar, not bothering to serve the customers. No eye contact, no interest, and no effort. In the end, I left empty-handed. This kind of behavior is completely unprofessional and unacceptable. For me, this was a very disappointing visit, and I will definitely not be returning.

We're really disappointed. The menus were simply slammed onto the table. Then we had to wait forever for someone to come and take our order. We also didn't have a drink, which can happen. Getting someone to come is also very difficult. The food wasn't exactly the best either. The chicken nuggets weren't cooked through. We had to go to the front and give them back ourselves. That's unacceptable. 2 out of 6 nuggets were edible. We definitely won't be going back. Unfriendly staff.

We wanted a quick lunch. The outdoor terrace was relatively empty. Several employees were sitting right in front of the entrance smoking. It wasn't particularly inviting. Many of the chairs on the outdoor terrace were broken and looked unkempt. The food came out quickly and was delicious. The service seemed unmotivated. When we spilled a drink, we had to wipe the table ourselves, and there was no question about whether we'd like a new one.

Too bad. We were disappointed. Even if you could only get a seat in the back corner (which wasn't a problem!), you should still be asked what you'd like to order at some point. After a while, we dared to approach a waiter at the next table: We'd like to order. His original answer: But not at my place! No, unfortunately, I'm not in charge. I'll let you know. Nothing! I then went to the front and asked. Then someone came. The food was okay. But really nothing special. If it hadn't been so late, we would have changed restaurants after that answer. But it did achieve one thing: there won't be a second visit for us. You're on vacation and have time. And we don't mind if it takes a while because it's full. However, we do have a problem with that kind of answer.

We had reserved a table in the garden verbally, but when we arrived on time a day later, there was no room available. We showed the waitress our entry in the hotel's reservation book, but even though we had also made a reservation with her, she couldn't remember it and suddenly her German was very poor. Another employee found us a table at the edge of the garden, but unfortunately, it didn't offer any view of the band. We come to the restaurant every year for good food and live music, but this time our evening was ruined. The food was moderately warm, and the side salad was unfortunately from the day before. In the end, the evening cost us about €80, but we'll have bad memories of it. Too bad

We've come here every year, but unfortunately, we've noticed that it's gotten worse each year. The waiter was absolutely rude and incompetent. When asked for a recommendation, he simply said, "Look at the menu." When politely asked if he could wipe a table, he replied, "I don't have a rag." There were also guests who had reservations, but according to the waiter, "there's no reservation." We then waited over an hour for our food. It's really not a good idea with children. The food was terrible for the price. The pike-perch had no taste, and the fried potatoes were musty and far too greasy. It's amazing how people can still afford something like that in restaurants these days. Unfortunately, we won't be coming back.

We got three different fish sandwiches from the snack bar. All three were absolutely delicious. The best we've had all week. The rolls were freshly prepared.

We came in a group of 6. Most of us weren't that happy with the food. It was a bit oversalted and too greasy. But I personally thought it was OK. The service was very friendly and also very accommodating to our 4-year-old daughter's requests. What shocked us was that an employee behind the counter (not our server) wore a T-shirt with the slogan "Germany - Everything has a tick, only a cross has four" without any shame or warning. I'm sorry, but that's completely unacceptable. A saying about the Nazi symbol as work attire... Intense. The same employee had previously been at Fischers Fritz in Heringsdorf (at lunchtime) in the snack bar. There, too, she was allowed to walk around like that without any ifs or buts. When fascism becomes the norm and Fischers Fritz allows it. Ouch.

We reserved a table by phone (outside). When it rained that evening and everything outside was wet, we politely asked at the reserved time if it was possible to sit inside due to the rain. The waitress initially said we could choose. The waiter was then very rude and made it clear to us in a harsh tone that we had reserved outside. (We knew that ourselves, but we're entitled to ask.) Then we pointed out that the tables and chairs outside were all wet (without umbrellas). We received an even more annoyed reply, saying he didn't have a cloth and didn't have time to dry everything, so we were simply left standing there. Of course, we left and found a restaurant with much friendlier staff. We knew ourselves that everything was wet from the rain... But we can't do anything about his stress, so we can still remain friendly.

Visited on August 30, 2025, with the outside area half full. Absolutely unfriendly service, who took out their bad mood on the customers. 40-minute wait for the food. When asked beforehand, the rude reply was that it would be right away, only to then discover that the order had been forgotten. The server apologized, but nothing. Can't rate the food; we didn't receive it.

I chose this place because it accepted card payments. Unfortunately, the waitress greeted us coldly (even though she was Polish). Only after I gently pointed out that we should smile a little more did she relax a bit. The coffee wasn't very tasty, but the desserts were okay.

At least during peak season, table reservations are recommended. The waiters were all fit and very friendly (though, as is customary in the industry, they were from Poland, not Ahlbeck). The food was good.

We stopped in spontaneously and received a very friendly welcome. Our food was delicious and served quickly. The service alone deserves five stars for its friendly service. However, the ambiance could use some work. It's certainly had its day. I think a little makeover wouldn't hurt.

2024: After hearing a lot about Fischers Fritz, we finally managed to eat there this year. The food was good and the portions were generous. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The only thing that dampens the overall impression for me is that you barely have enough room to reach your fork while eating. Perhaps setting up one less table would help. 2025: We went to Fritz again. It was delicious again. We had both versions of fish soup and then the panfish and herring. We hope the quality remains the same at the new location.

Super ambience, price-performance ratio top

The wonderful memories of my first visit to Fischers Fritz seven years ago quickly faded. The service was unfriendly and uninformed. The char with leaf spinach tasted good, but the spiced meat didn't have much to do with spiced meat for me. Sorry, but I could have saved myself the trip.

Fish was very fresh but lacked in flavour for some dishes. Indoor seating is very loud. Definitely overpriced though.

Well...you can go there once in a while. But it certainly won't become your regular haunt.

Be careful with intolerances or allergies! Fischers Fritz is a mass-produced restaurant and unfortunately nothing else. Many people want to eat fish by the sea, but there is often someone in the group who doesn't eat fish or has an intolerance to something. The way Fischers Fritz handles this is outdated. I have eaten there five times in the last three years and each time it was a bad experience for me. 'Special requests' are initially met with flippant or rudeness, and in the end they don't even serve what you ordered and/or only serve it with the main course instead of as an appetizer. It has even happened that you didn't know until the serving time whether your 'special requests' could be accommodated, and then they simply served you with paprika or bacon. When you then look around at other people's plates and don't see a single crumb of paprika, you get a completely different feeling on top of all the uneasy feelings you already experience due to the dismissive attitude of the waiter. I think it's a real shame for our group because we won't be eating there anymore because it seems I'm not welcome as a guest. This spoils the group's experience of eating together. A tip for the owner: When a guest places an order with him, he doesn't want to hear that the owner doesn't know whether the chef can accommodate his SPECIAL REQUESTS; there's no need to come at him with that. Especially if it's an allergy or if the body can't metabolize animal proteins after 30 years of abstaining from meat or fish. There's a lack of concept and creativity here. There's a lack of leadership, empathy, and consideration for guests. Perhaps the chef also lacks the skills. I can't judge that. Lacto-vegetarians who like baked potatoes with quark can go there with their friends, but if you absolutely don't like that, you won't reliably get a salad without peppers as a starter and a portion of fries with bacon-flavored beans without bacon as a main course. Not to mention fried potatoes without bacon with a couple of fried eggs.

We were extremely disappointed with our entire experience at the restaurant. From the nonexistent service to the two-hour wait for our food! The waitresses were unfriendly and rude, and after a two-hour wait (without even asking if we wanted any more drinks), the mediocre food arrived. We absolutely cannot recommend this restaurant!

We had dinner there yesterday (2 adults, 1 child) and were seated without a reservation by the owner. The food was delicious and plentiful. We had spiced beef, Fritzi's herring platter, and halibut steak with grilled vegetables and rosemary potatoes. Everything was beautifully presented on the plates. Even though we had to wait a bit, it's clear that the food is freshly prepared. The owner has her business under control. We would happily recommend this restaurant. It's best to make a reservation in advance.

We were there for dinner and both chose zander fillet with fried potatoes and a side salad. The plate was modest, but for the price, we expected a bit more. The taste wasn't particularly noteworthy either; one piece of fillet was hard and rather bland, and the lemon wedge didn't do much to save it. I ordered 0.75 liters of mineral water. The bottle was lukewarm. It's a shame, in a way, because in retrospect, we also looked at the menus of upscale restaurants and realized that we could have eaten cheaper elsewhere. We assumed we should go to a supposedly professional fish chef. But it really wasn't anything special.

We wanted to eat fish by the sea and ordered a fish platter for two. Unfortunately, we discovered that the fish must have died twice before being fried. First during the catch, then in the freezer, and now in the deep fryer or pan! This was the worst fish I've had in 60 years!

Great cuisine and a cozy atmosphere – but the reception spoils the overall impression. The food is truly outstanding – typical German home cooking, freshly prepared, and very tasty. The atmosphere in the restaurant perfectly matches the culinary concept: down-to-earth, cozy, and inviting. Unfortunately, the welcome from Mar*** was anything but friendly. Without a reservation, you don't feel welcome here – a smile or a friendly word would have been appreciated. It's a shame, because first impressions count, and unfortunately, this one leaves a bitter aftertaste.

We spend a week in Ahlbeck every year and eat at Fischers Fritz twice during that week. The atmosphere is lovely, the food and drinks are delicious, and the staff is very friendly and attentive. We're already looking forward to our next visit. I recommend making a reservation for the evening, preferably a few days in advance.

It's recommended to reserve a table – luckily we did. When we arrived, the staff sprinted past us. Cardio training doesn't seem to be a problem here 😉 The main courses were very good. I also found it refreshing that vegetables were served on the children's plate. Unfortunately, the parsley all over the plate didn't appeal to our little one at all and had to be blown away. Perhaps they could make the kids a crocodile-shaped cucumber or something similar; that would certainly be a great surprise. For dessert, there was fruity tiramisu in a plastic cup – it looked like it had been bought, and the prices were correspondingly low. Unfortunately, our visit ended badly. Although the EC symbol was on the door, we were suddenly asked to pay in cash. It can happen that the system fails, but in that case, a warning beforehand would be nice. We don't carry around so much cash these days. We found a solution, but we had to put up with a rude response from one of our colleagues.

The atmosphere is more like a fast food joint. Loud, no designated table, you're seated. It's not really a problem, but based on the advertising, you'd expect something different. The service was overwhelmed, as it seemed new. Not a problem for us; everyone starts out like that. Card payments weren't accepted that day. It would have been nice to have informed us of this at reception, or to have put up a sign at the entrance. So, after eating, I had to resort to bank robbery. The food was okay, but unfortunately, nothing more.

We ended up there by chance and were thrilled. We didn't have a reservation, everything was full, and we were asked if we wanted to sit behind the counter. The best spot ever, as I discovered. We will definitely eat there again and reserve that spot. The staff were in a great mood despite the hustle and bustle. The menu, drinks, and food were all delivered quickly. We had an appetizer of three different baked shrimp with salad, which was amazing. I had halibut steak with a kind of potato chip and grilled vegetables, simply amazing. My husband also had fish and thought it was absolutely delicious. What was special there, however, was the friendly atmosphere among the staff. Overall, you felt like you were at home. We tried many restaurants in Ahlbeck during our two weeks. Fischers Fritz is our favorite. We'll be back.

We can give a maximum of 3 stars here. We had the “salmon fried” and the “rump steak” As a side dish with the salmon were rosemary potatoes, unfortunately too salty and far too oily/greasy. The salmon itself was ok. The rump steak was very small and the side dishes were also too fatty. Poor price/performance ratio.

We're here for a spontaneous getaway. I highly recommend this wonderful little restaurant. Of course, reservations are highly recommended. If you're bringing your dog, they're very welcome. Great food and an absolutely lovely waitress. Thank you for this. German restaurants should take a leaf out of their book. 🥰🫶🫶

The worst fish dinner on the island. Mass-processed, half-raw shrimp with bone-hard breading, stale salad with bland dressing, dried-out bread, etc. etc. Never again!

The food (peppered herring and fried pike-perch fillet) was fantastic. Super tasty. An added bonus is that the side salad, unlike usual, consists of a lonely iceberg lettuce leaf and a sad half-slice of tomato, but rather a colorful mix of leaf salads, herbs, and an excellent dressing! Service was friendly, fast, and competent. The ambiance may be a bit dated, but that doesn't detract from the quality of the food.

Fried cod and sea bream with asparagus, both good, a little underseasoned for my taste, but that can be adjusted.

Best fish restaurant in the Kaiserbäder

It was another nice evening. We even had a birthday song sung for our birthday child. Thanks for that and will definitely come back to eat again.

Unfortunately not very enthusiastic about this place. 2* for the fish soup. Grilled vegetables were more like mushy vegetables. Service could hardly understand or speak German. Therefore, questions about the courts cannot be answered. Unfortunately, the request to exchange an insert was not understood either. There was a strong smell of frying oil throughout the restaurant.

Highly recommended even if I didn't eat fish. Delicious
