Good atmosphere. The staff was difficult to understand. Sorry, but we almost left. The food was good.

Disappointing. The staff barely speak German and don't understand special requests. The food is ridiculously overpriced. 7 euros for a bread roll and a fishcake (calling it a "meatball" would be a real exaggeration) is simply too much. They're just using their name to lure customers in, but they don't deliver. It's a shame when they focus more on media presence and treat the customer as an afterthought. We won't be visiting again! Luckily, there are other fish restaurants in Heringsdorf!

We've eaten at Domke's in Heringsdorf on and off for the past few years and were always satisfied. This time, last weekend, it was a complete disaster, and we won't be going back. From the non-existent service from the cashier, to the bland, unseasoned food, to the ridiculously overpriced dishes. We paid about €80 for two people, and the card reader malfunctioned strangely, even though the transaction had been confirmed. The cashier simply re-entered the amount and pointed insistently at the keypad, as if to say, "Go on, enter your PIN again"—he didn't speak. We were unsure whether we were going to have to pay twice and initially refused. If they had spoken to us in a reasonable, service-oriented manner, things would have been very different. Well, when we finally had the food (€80!) in front of us, it didn't look nicely presented or appetizing. Unfortunately, it tasted just as bad. In short: we won't be going back to Domke's. If you're going to spend that much money on a fish dish, we recommend other local restaurants where you get better service and quality for your money. @ Mr. Domke: if you're reading this. Everyone knows that good service and kitchen staff are hard to find. But please train your existing staff and create a positive work environment. Satisfied employees, along with good food, are the hallmark of a successful restaurant, not just another world record on your list.

This wasn't our first time here. We regularly vacation in Heringsdorf, and a visit to Fisch Domke is always a must. The fish is always fresh and delicious, so it's highly recommended. Unfortunately, we weren't entirely satisfied today. The non-alcoholic wheat beer was undrinkable, and the server simply told us they would pass it on to the manager. That's not how service should be; it's a shame. Nevertheless, we'll be back on our next vacation, for the fish 🐟.

The self-service restaurant is worth a visit. It immediately evokes a lovely market hall atmosphere. We ordered a small portion of oysters and were very satisfied. The daily takeaway service is also worth recommending.

It may have once been a good place, but we found the staff not particularly friendly. Above all, the food left a lot to be desired. Everything looked and tasted like it had been served yesterday. The value for money here is really poor. We won't be coming back.

Unfortunately, the prices were higher, and the portions were rather small. The price for two potato pancakes with applesauce was significantly too high. Otherwise, it's self-service, so the request for a tip when paying by card seems a bit odd.

We were in Heringsdorf the first weekend of October, and thus also at Domke's. It starts with the service at the counter. No smile, not a friendly word, lazy, or not fluent in German (or they can but don't want to). The fish at the counter looked very dried out, the eel and herring were gray, and everything else didn't look appetizing either. The herring was good, the fried potatoes were greasy and flavorless. The turbot was okay, but the fried potatoes were greasy and oily. Any fish sandwich around the corner tastes better. The dilapidated hall could use a renovation. The films with all the awards and celebrities are useless if they're old and there have been no improvements or renovations for several years. So, we won't be eating at Domke's again. Tip: you could take care of the staff and train them.

Very unfriendly service (an older woman), fried potatoes half-raw, greasy, blandly seasoned, and with thick chunks of onion, absolutely disgusting, sorry... Unfortunately, the fish died twice; it was cooked far too long. All in all, very disappointing for the rather high prices. I would never go back; compared to that, Gosch is a culinary highlight. I've rarely been so disappointed by a restaurant. The atmosphere is like a factory canteen in a beautiful, historic building. They could really make something great out of it...

It used to be very good, but things have declined considerably. Not because of the staff, but because the fish is of inferior quality. This applies to both the plaice and the fish and chips with sauce. There were six of us, and unfortunately, we agreed on the review. Only the prices were high. A shame.

I've rarely had such a bad meal! Inedible fried potatoes from a large container. The atmosphere was like a train station concourse. Self-service.

We had fried fish and cod fillet in an egg shell, each with fried potatoes, the shell being a (rather salty) omelet. The fish was good, but unfortunately had a few bones, which were only noticeable through the shell upon eating. The portion size was decent, the taste was okay, but nothing special. The price wasn't exactly cheap, especially given the location. The service is self-service, so it's hard to comment on. The decor is cozy, but geared toward larger groups. We went in the evening when the crowds had died down. I thought it was okay, but not necessarily worth repeating.

The lady at the food and drink counter is extremely unfriendly! Her manner is very rude – my God, is it really that difficult to do a good job as a "service representative"? It's a shame, considering everything else is perfect here...

The fish was well prepared and flavorful. The fried potatoes were to our liking, with a lot of onions and a bit too greasy. The very unfriendly lady behind the counter significantly lowers the rating. The two young colleagues, on the other hand, were friendly and approachable.

I would recommend everyone to eat fish 🐟 here. It was absolutely fantastic. It's also a good price. A lot of celebrities have been here. Axel Schulz, Till Schweiger, Merkel, and others. 😀

So, if you're after fish, then go to Domke. I hardly know anyone with more expertise in fish than Andre Domke. Fortunately, I was able to interview him directly. He was just there and took the time. Domke is a Mecklenburg native with heart and a wonderful laugh. He doesn't talk much, he prefers to do things. A doer. The fish pavilion captivates both with its historic feel and with the skillful presentation of the bar with its fresh fish offerings. All of the highest quality. There were four of us, we had fish and shrimp, and both were excellent. To go with them, of course, a finely matched wine. The newest Domke highlight, however, seems to be the neighboring wine bar. A small bodega with a small, select menu. We only tried quite tasty Prosecco and delicious wine here, but we'll definitely be back. For the Angus beef tartar, of course :) In short, we had a successful experience with excellent culinary accompaniment. My verdict? Highly recommended!

A wonderful, quaint shop steeped in history. I tried eel here for the first time in my life, and it was delicious.

During this year's visit to Usedom, we ate at Fisch Domke in Heringsdorf. André Domke has received numerous awards and has appeared on numerous TV shows. The restaurant is very interestingly decorated, there's something to see everywhere, and the fish sandwiches were absolutely delicious. I saw so many great dishes on the tables around us. I would have loved to try more. Portions that were enough to satisfy everyone, a wide selection, and a friendly team that gave us excellent advice made the visit a great experience. We will definitely stop there again on our next trip.

Unfortunately, the quality and price are no longer right, the food has gone bad, we will not be back

The food was good; the fish solyanka was very tasty and well-spiced, but unfortunately a bit too sweet... without the sweetness, it would have been perfect. The fish aspic was tasty, but its consistency was more like a fish mash than aspic. The distinctive characteristics of aspic, such as individual pieces of fish, dill, cucumber, and the like, were not present. Herbs and spices were completely absent. I've actually had fish aspic that looked and tasted better. It was still tasty, of course, but there's room for improvement, considering the advance praise you get when you go to a Domke fish restaurant!

I discovered it by chance and thought it was a good place. The place is really nice, and the food was very good. It's a self-service restaurant, but otherwise it's worth it.

A definite recommendation, absolutely quaint and cozy, great service and great prices with absolutely delicious food. We'd love to come back.

Very unfriendly service. The main thing is that your nails and glasses are in good shape; everything else is just annoying and unnecessary. The food...just mediocre...and way too expensive for everything... ...not worth a visit...🤷

The food was almost tasteless and seasonless – despite clearly ordering fried fish, we were served boiled fish. Fortunately, we were able to notice the mistake in time and complain. The snack bar atmosphere is certainly intentional and designed to accommodate large numbers of guests.

Unfortunately, it's not like it used to be. Eating at Domke was a tradition on every holiday. Labskaus for my husband and tagliatelle in cream sauce with salmon for me. Unfortunately, the Labskaus was very disappointing, without potatoes or cucumber, and otherwise very dry. That seems to be the end of that tradition, not to mention the very grumpy lady at the order counter. What a pity.

Unfortunately not, the food was tasteless, the portions were small and way too expensive.

Extremely unfriendly saleswoman. Given the high prices, this is an absolute no-go. The quality of the food has declined significantly. We were only full thanks to the potatoes. They used to come with a good salad on the plate, but now they only serve a little white cabbage and plenty of melted butter. I find a 0.2-liter glass of water for €3 significantly overpriced. The ambiance is quite nice, but everything seems a bit unclean. We used to enjoy eating here, but are now very disappointed and won't be coming back.

The food was well presented and would have definitely tasted great if it hadn't been too salty. I had eel fillet on boiled potatoes with dill sauce, so it was a really good, high-quality meal. The potatoes and sauce somewhat compensated for the excessive salt, but I was still disappointed. I also had some smoked halibut and was really looking forward to it that evening, but... it was also completely oversalted. I spent a lot of money there and ended up with a two-day stomach bug, and on vacation, to boot. So there's something completely wrong with the fish. Many thanks to the owners for this experience and the two lost days of vacation. I will definitely never eat there again.

We took a detour to Heringsdorf to relive some old memories (from a children's summer camp). On our way to the water, we discovered this quaint location and took the opportunity to stop in. A great selection of fish dishes and a fun schnitzel for the landlubbers. We found the food delicious, and it went pretty quickly considering the number of visitors. We'll be back soon. 👍

When you're on the coast, you want to eat fish at least once. So we stopped at Domke's. The fish shack is nice, but the food, unfortunately, wasn't. The fish solyaka was okay. Not particularly good. But not bad either. The frozen fried fish for €16 is pretty outrageous, though. But that's not even the worst part. No seasoning. The fried potatoes were bland and lacked pepper, etc. Fried potatoes from the discount store tasted even better. The remoulade was very sour. We were very disappointed with the food. The price/performance ratio is very poor.

The food tastes good. The wait time is still reasonable. However, I find the prices too high these days, considering there's no table service and you have to get your own food and drinks. I also expect to get professional advice regarding the fish selection, but unfortunately, that's not the case here on some days. The pricing structure is also completely unclear to me; some starters are enormous and cost half as much as a main course.

Delicious fish in a great atmosphere! The fresh produce is great value for money, and all your wishes are fulfilled. Everything is also available to take away.

We've been coming to Usedom for 10 years now. We always enjoyed going to Domke for delicious fish. These days, it's left a lot to be desired. The value for money is completely out of whack. Small portions for a high price. The staff are completely unfriendly. You hardly dare to order anything. And that's for a self-service restaurant. What a shame.

I've eaten at your restaurant many times and have always been satisfied, but today's fried fish with fries was awful. A hard piece of breading with dry fish inside and fries for €16 was a clear mistake. 3 points because the Baltic herring with fried potatoes was good.

Unfortunately, the portions are WAY too large, and there's no way to take it with you. The cream sauce with the tagliatelle with salmon was just cream. Like, pure cream. It was too much. Value for money, you can't complain. And for my birthday, I got to meet Axel Schulz. An absolute highlight. All in all, Domke is highly recommended. The portions are just a bit large. Whether that's a good thing or a bad thing is debatable 😅

Once again, the food was absolutely delicious. I highly recommend it.

Our understanding: Employees who work in sales or, as in this case, take orders, should enjoy people and the products. That this isn't an easy job is beyond question. The lady (short hair and glasses) clearly didn't enjoy her job. We and other guests had to witness this firsthand and in color. And this despite the fact that the store is self-service. In principle, this doesn't demand much of the staff. But even this was obviously too much. Unfriendly and rude tone. Were the celebrities, who were obviously guests – judging by the photo wall – treated the same way? Once and never again.

I was there for lunch. For the price, it wasn't good enough. The fish fillet had bones, the side salad was just white cabbage, and the sauce/dip was from a packet. If you have a choice, eat somewhere else.

0.2 liters of sparkling water for €3 makes a price per liter of €15. That's not acceptable; the overpriced herring would get stuck in your throat. €17 for herring with potato salad. It wasn't much either, and it was simply overpriced. It's no fun anymore.

A very nice atmosphere that promised a lot! Unfortunately, the fried fish only served frozen food for a hefty €16! It's generally hard to find good restaurants in Heringsdorf/Usedom!

The food was excellent as always.

The food was okay, but they had no idea what fried potatoes were. These were hard pieces of potato soaked in oil and didn't even come close to being called fried potatoes.

We ate the matjes with fried potatoes, it was very tasty. The Pomeranian fish soup is not my thing, but luckily everyone has different tastes 😁 the beer was really good and drinkable.

Great restaurant with a huge selection of fish dishes. They also serve fresh and smoked fish. Prices are OK.

Currywurst, fish and chips, and fish fingers are a no-brainer. The sausage wasn't fresh, the fish was like fried fish bites, and the potatoes weren't cooked all the way through.

If you want to buy fresh fish or eat it straight away, this is a great place. Please provide more language training for the staff. There are still some difficulties in understanding. I wanted the fish vacuum-packed, but I couldn't make myself understood. Otherwise, the staff was very friendly. The price/performance ratio is good.

Unfortunately, we were very disappointed. We ordered currywurst with fries, but the sauce was warmed from a jar, and the sausages in the sauce weren't very tasty. The price is a bit surprising. It's a shame for a restaurant like this, and I can't recommend it—it's a deal for landlubbers.

It's deteriorated considerably. No longer recommended. Tasteless and greasy food. The dishes are like McDonald's and the prices are like Michelin-starred restaurants. Plus, the staff is lackluster.

It was our last day, Sunday, and my wife and I really wanted to try it because we'd seen it on TV. When we arrived, we thought we were at an Asian restaurant!?! You have to order at the counter and were given a pager to pick it up ourselves. Everything was fine (but what am I supposed to pay a tip for when the service is zero). The food came after about twenty minutes, which was completely fine. But unfortunately my dish was wrong, so I complained and it was dealt with. Then I waited another twenty minutes and my wife's food was cold, as we wanted to eat together. I then asked the woman who brought it to me how we could solve the problem since we wanted to eat together. I suggested she just bring us both a small drink as an apology, which was done after we agreed on it. The food was really good, unfortunately that can happen, but I would have preferred it to come from her herself. Nevertheless, all in all, good food and our request was met. Thank you and I will visit again.👍🏼

After we had to change tables due to a strong fishy smell at the neighboring table, we had our concerns about the freshness of the fish on offer. Especially since the plates were returned shortly afterward and our money refunded. Fortunately, it wasn't quite as bad for us. The portions of zander and cod were sufficient and without an unpleasant smell, but they were lightly seasoned and swimming in fat along with the fried potatoes. The service isn't good for a self-service restaurant, but the tables should be wiped down every now and then. The prices are in line with the local standard, but should be slightly lower due to the lack of service. Unfortunately, card payments didn't work today either. Conclusion: You'll be full, but it's not a culinary highlight.

We visited the restaurant on the recommendation of our landlord. Okay, we only had fish sandwiches. We've had much better ones elsewhere for less money. My wife's Coke tasted strange. The staff at the counter weren't exactly friendly. Please and thank you weren't exactly common.

I only recommend paying in cash, as card payments can result in a double debit, and then the service deteriorates considerably. Even though we could prove this, we had to write an email to get our money back. They also require patience for at least 2-4 days before you hear whether you'll get your money back or not. The manager said it wasn't that bad, everything would be fine. It wasn't his money, after all. I thought the phone call with him was a disgrace. Domke is no longer a good option for us. Luckily, there are other fish restaurants.

We can only agree with the negative reviews. We blotted the oil off the fried potatoes with a napkin, and the fish was just fried. According to their description, it was completely out of proportion. In short: Never again! The price-performance ratio wasn't right for us!

The staff was unfriendly and looked at us stupidly, like, "I have to work because of them now." The food was pretty bland. We had seen a dish online and my wife wanted to eat it. The answer was, "Don't give it away."

We were very disappointed and won't be back. The fried potatoes were still dripping oil onto our forks, and the fish was simply flavorless and very oily. For the price, I simply can't recommend it. It's a real shame.
