Etyok Third Wave Kebab in Nürnberg

Were there at 12 p.m. with NeoTaste and came by train specifically for this. We had already reserved the 2 for 1 deal beforehand. When we were there and wanted to order, the gentleman there said that it wasn't possible at the moment because the bartender(?) wasn't there. Until now I have no idea whether there are no kebabs there anymore or what the problem actually was. It seemed to me as if the gentleman himself had only been there for 2 minutes and didn't know what was going on.

There's not much to complain about in terms of taste, but: - the price is definitely not appropriate - there was probably no kebab that day, just durüm. Wouldn't be a problem, but should be communicated clearly beforehand. The size of the portion was disappointing for the price I've always been very enthusiastic, but things seem to have gotten worse since the move, which is a shame.

Previously a real recommendation, today unfortunately a real disappointment. Going in hungry, leaving hungry for €8.20 later. The vegan kebab is pretty tasty, but considering the price it's half the size it should be and the taste is really nothing out of the ordinary. The service is good and the inside looks friendly, it's just not a place to eat anymore.

Since the merger, the store no longer looks well maintained. Where has Melanie gone? The pieces of cake fall apart. The toilets are unkempt. What happened there? Really a shame.

Very tasty kebab. You can easily order yourself at the terminal (like at mc) and you will then be called by name. Kebap tastes great and is vegan! Really good 👨🏼‍🍳 the fries are also super tasty and seasoned a little more sophisticated than “standard fries”. I recommend mayo. This is also very tasty! Clear recommendation 👌🏼

Some time ago I recommended Rengârenk to anyone who wanted great vegan food and a great atmosphere. But now Melanie is suddenly gone, the shop looks like a storage room (there was stuff everywhere and it was really cold) and the entire soul was gone. I have no idea what happened there, but we won't go there again. Especially since the Etyok kebab is no longer convincing (far too expensive and hardly anything in it, wtf?). The service now gets a bad rating not because the two girls did it badly, but because they couldn't have done it better and you could tell that this whole change didn't seem to be that great for them either. Melanie, if you start somewhere with your old team -> send a sign and snickers bars please. Maybe this merger between The Sweet Vegan and Etyok should never have happened 🤷🏻‍♀️

Great selection of vegan stuff! Weird that you have to order the doner through the weird touchscreen thingy tho, when everything else is ordered at the counter. The cakes and coffee were excellent too.

The Rengarenk was great until the Etyok closed, I was there last week and was simply ignored even though I was the only customer. Today there was a note saying they don't open until 4:30 p.m. I hope it gets better again 🙏🏾 then there will be 5 stars again

Best café and best kebab in Nuremberg❤️

This plant-based restaurant in Nuremberg used to be a real gem, but unfortunately, it has lost all its charm. The döner, once delicious and generously filled, is now just a shadow of its former self. Sparsely filled, bland in taste, and far from the delightful flavors I used to enjoy. On top of that, the price has risen to an outrageous €8.20, which no longer matches the quality. What used to be a beautiful, cozy spot has now turned into a generic, soulless fast-food joint. The fries were often cold and far too hard, and on some days, the salad looked wilted and not fresh at all – definitely not what you’d expect given the prices. The saddest part is that the longtime owner of the café "The Sweet Vegan" and the adjacent restaurant "Rengarenk" was suddenly let go and forced out of the location. She was the heart and soul of the place, having built it with love and dedication. Without her, the restaurant has lost its spirit. Additionally, it’s disappointing to see that a supposedly vegan place is working with a butcher for their meat substitute, a key ingredient in their döner. I’ve often noticed deliveries from butchery staff with red crates. It just doesn’t sit well. This used to be a great place, but now it’s simply a disappointment. Such a shame!

Unfortunately, the quality has deteriorated and prices have increased in the process. I think €8.20 for a medium-sized kebab is a bit much. They've changed something about the meat alternative, it used to be better. Now it tastes dry and over-spiced, the consistency is a bit like rubber/cheap meat substitute from the supermarket. Unfortunately I didn't like it that much. I also had a stomach ache in the evening, so I couldn't tolerate some of the kebab.

Was there because of the reviews! hands off ! I paid 9€ because the homemade Ayran was forced on me straight away because I later threw it away.. the kebab itself was more mince than a meat substitute, very bland, greasy without spice and had its own taste, we felt really sick from... a mass of young people in front of the shop an immense amount of smoking... I'm not vegan to follow fashion, but to stay healthy... which is difficult when there's a mega fume in front of an "eco store"! Some of them probably smoked weed, which is why two of us had to throw up later. I don't understand how a place like that runs 😱

Doner kebab is good, but it's an outrage to charge almost €9 (€8.20) for a kebab! Because of such price drivers, our kebab prices inevitably rise. Really a shame. This price is not fair.

I think €8.20 for the kebab is too much: especially since it is often very thinly topped and there is only a little sauce on top (extra sauce costs 50ct extra). But the kebab bread is often really good. Unfortunately, the fries follow suit: you have to be lucky to get something fresh and the portion is way too small for €5. So really mini! But the taste (if fresh) is good. I haven't followed the price development of the Ayran for a long time because I've given up on the idea that it will have a fair price at some point. In general, it was always far too expensive for the two sips you had. But taste good. The bottom line is that I can say about food and drink: I would pay all the prices, but not for such small portions. After the renovation, I no longer find the ambience very inviting. It doesn't invite you to linger and for me it has the charm of a fast food chain. It seems very unloving and cold to me. The toilet was often dirty and/or missing essential items such as paper towels or toilet paper. The shop used to be highly recommended, especially for people who wanted to show a vegan alternative. Today I would no longer recommend it.

Dear Etyok team, You can do it better, or I know you differently before the renovation. Your vegan kebab plate used to be hot, tasty and big enough. Unfortunately today it was almost cold, over-seasoned, with less on it than before but now more expensive at 10.80 euros. Your man at the desk did his best, but with the same result. Unfortunately you lost me as a regular customer today, which I also think is a shame.

I used to really enjoy coming here regularly. I've been giving the store a chance lately, but it's becoming more disappointing with each visit. People are now making a lot of savings, especially on the sauce, and asking for an extra €0.50 and then not really getting any more sauce is really audacious. Unfortunately it was a disappointment... The staff was nice, but our kebab was cold, even though it wasn't rush hour at that time. The “meat” wasn’t heated properly and didn’t really have any flavor. The bread and salad were fine. At €8.2 per kebab it's not a bargain either.. It's a shame it wasn't convincing.

The shop itself... well, let's put it this way: it totally has that "alternative and street food" vibe. It seems a bit makeshift, but that's what made it so charming. Yo, the vegan kebab really wasn't bad, but unfortunately it didn't taste as great as the original, you know what I mean? They really went out of their way to conjure up my vegan kebab as quickly as possible. 👎🏼Back to the ambience. So, how should I put it... the snack bar wasn't exactly a star restaurant, if you know what I mean. But hey, I was there for the food! So the thing somehow had something “real” and “authentic” about it thanks to this slightly shabby (maybe just a construction site at the moment) atmosphere. Eytok offers vegan kebab in downtown Nuremberg. Food: The vegan kebab is really awesome. The soy meat tastes high quality, sauces go well with it, and the vegetables are fresh. Otherwise there are kebab plates and other delicacies such as donuts. One point deducted because over €8 is a proud price. Service: Super nice service, very relaxed, extra requests are well catered for. Ambiance: Chilled, hip ambience, you definitely feel comfortable here. Indoor and outdoor seating.

Basically the kebab is really good. BUT: I was able to understand and accept the first price increase to €7.50 in the truck during the conversion. However, the second at €8.20 combined with less content at the opening was a slap in the face. I find it very cheeky and no longer does justice to what is offered. I really became aware of this this week when I tried out a vegan competitor who still charges €6.50 and apparently can still do a good job with it.

When the kebab was a little better filled and cost 6.50 euros, I liked it better. The kebab now costs almost 10 euros and is constantly getting smaller...

I used to come here every week when the kebab cost less than 7 euros. I recommended the shop to everyone who came to Nuremberg. Back then he was still cute little and “alternative”. The food is still delicious, but loveless, just like the location: Etyok now looks like a classic system restaurant: no flair and something is always broken after the renovation. And now the worst: the prices. In 2021 I got a vegan kebab here for 5.50 or 6.00 euros. Now it costs more than 8 euros; That's just crazy and, no matter how you twist it, it's a rip-off. They won't be cheaper, so my recommendation: Vegöner and Veganel, although the latter has also raised the prices.

Simply order at the terminal. Card payment. And then enjoy the incredibly tasty food.

Super nice service delicious vegan kebab

Very easy to order and very quick. Food was nice and it was 13.90 for a döner, fries and a drink. I loved that everything is vegan, and the staff was friendly. The bread was toasted. The fries could have had a bit more salt, but food was great otherwise.

A below average meatless kebab with a nice atmosphere.

I used to be a regular customer and really liked the ambience of the "old" Etyok. It was authentic and somehow alternative and the kebab was super tasty. The day before yesterday I was there for the first time after the renovation and unfortunately I was very disappointed. It became uncomfortable inside and the music was uncomfortably loud. Unfortunately I won't be getting the kebab again either. Far too much soy for my taste, which was somehow much oilier than before. I would like more salad, vegetables and sauce (yes, you can now order it at the terminal). The fries - I actually thought it was cool that they had air fryer fries. But unfortunately they now had a taste reminiscent of burnt twice. I think it's a real shame, I really enjoyed coming because it was really nice and delicious. But I'm afraid it doesn't suit me anymore.

Etyok used to be - it was a relaxed meeting place with character and alternative flair, a place that unfortunately only rarely exists in Nuremberg, a place that seemed unfinished in a pleasant way, a "living room" to hang out and meet people, a beautiful outdoor area , scones, a bit of art on the wall, board games... a nice chat at the grill, a nut corner next door - and of course the best vegan kebab in the city. Unfortunately, "only" the vegan kebab remains - at a significantly higher price, but I would be happy to pay that if everything else that made Etyok a favorite place for many hadn't disappeared. Etyok today - this is a shop like thousands of others, cramped and without quality of stay, a shop without customer contact, without a sizzling grill, without ambience. Really a shame and incredibly sad. Sometimes the food - as good as it is - isn't everything...

Today I was in the new store for the first time after the renovation. I WAS a regular customer before. I was extremely disappointed. The food was cold. The bread is no longer crispy. The portion is more expensive and smaller than before. The store has lost all of its charm. Tables and chairs were carelessly placed in the store, as was the non-speaking lady at the checkout...

It tastes really good but is more reminiscent of gyros. I'd love to come back

Doner was good but not appropriate for the price. Overall, there is very little content (if you compare it with the Vegöner), but there is quite a lot of pea protein, and the bread is super crispy. Fries were well seasoned (herbs, paprika) but there wasn't enough salt, there was no mayo or ketchup, and the drink wasn't cool.

It was much better, today it was "modest": rice completely overcooked and unsalted.

Was the best kebab. Now way too overpriced. I know a lot of people who can't afford it anymore, but the store now looks like a fast food chain. Some of the staff don't care and they often don't pack in enough stuff so you can hardly get full. Super disappointed, they were great two years ago. It seems like you just want to get maximum profit for minimum effort and quality, but hey, you can do it with vegan food.

The vegan kebab was extremely tasty and very filling. The crispy, well-seasoned fries from the futuristic hot air fryer are delicious! Also super friendly service! You can either sit inside in a modern atmosphere or outside in the pedestrian zone.

Unfortunately, things have gotten worse since the new design. While I used to be able to recommend Etyok unconditionally, it has now become very expensive within a short space of time (jumping from 7.50 to 8.20 for the kebab) and the quality and taste are worse. The waiting times are very long and sometimes kebabs or bowls are left there for 10 minutes and get cold before the number is called. Unfortunately no more recommendations at the moment.

I actually love the kebab at Etyok, but I haven't had such a good picture of it since my last visit. The service was very, very loud and laughed and gossiped about a woman who ordered via Lieferando. That doesn't work at all. Because of the constant, very loud talking and laughing of the employees, it was almost impossible to understand the person you were talking to in the small dining area. All prices have become much more expensive (döner kebab €8.20). And that while more and more savings are being made on the kebab filling. I'm not vegan, but because I pay attention to halal and never see the halal seal as reputable and credible in Germany (except for a single very unknown brand), I completely avoid meat and use vegan and vegetarian alternatives. Etyok proteins have a 1:1 consistency like meat, which I would even use for Turkish home cooking like Kavurma or bean stew. As a kebab, I enjoy the kebab with a 100% clear conscience and am happy not to support the meat industry and the fake Halal seals. Great team & ambience and now even cooler after the renovation. Even with Café Rengarenk next door, you can enjoy spending time in the corner. It's a mix of Berlin & Kadikoy/Istanbul. I'm happy to be there every time. Thank you for existing and for enriching the city with this diversity.

It's okay. If I were somewhere and wanted a vegetable kebab and had Etyok in front of me - I would be over the moon. But I know how good it used to be here. And how some employees can still make art here. But today... It's okay, good enough. And it has a bit of a feeling of a classic fast food shop, where the main thing is to get people in and out quickly. And it wants to go there too. Nothing that deserves criticism in itself is fundamentally valid. At the same time, however, it also means that it is no longer a place that alone is worth a special visit. But more than that, if anyone is already in the area, it's good enough. And it can also be really good if it suits you. The kebab is not cheap, but it is generally valid and there are fries.

I got a vegan kebab here. The consistency of the pea flesh is a bit unusual, but once you get used to it after a few bites, it's really tasty. Fresh vegetables, bread warm and soft, delicious sauce. All in all a great kebab and really recommended.

Idea - even for a meat eater like me - interesting and tempting, as I generally enjoy various street food alternatives in the Nuremberg gastronomic landscape. Unfortunately the implementation was very disappointing! "Meat" is very bland, sauce tasteless and without oomph, bread tears through, drinks are not cooled and on top of that the salad comes out of a plastic bag. Where is the added value from Etyok?! My palate simply lacks the character in the kebab! What a shame! I would have expected much more given the good reviews here!!!

Etyok has evolved significantly since reopening. The new concept with the ordering terminal and display is modern and contemporary, making ordering efficient and user-friendly. The dishes are still tasty, especially the kebab, which is now served in even better quality. The atmosphere is relaxed and the staff is always helpful and friendly. I've been coming here for years and I'm impressed with how Etyok keeps up with the times. A good place for a delicious kebab that has adapted to modern service. Keep it up Erkan!

Definitely can't choose that either and then has to take more and pay more. Intention? Focus on walk-in customers, zefix. I want to talk to people. But I was sent out again to order at the terminal. So apparently you can't order at the checkout. Why? Cash isn't an option either. Where are who??? I've been there so many times but I don't feel like using the new system. Absolutely not . I was really looking forward to the vegan kebab, but unfortunately it was bland and boring. The fries that came with it were oversalted and, to be honest, actually inedible. I don't know where the good reviews come from. And there was no atmosphere. Noisy like a train station with free drafts. Around €30 for 2 kebabs, fries and drinks was definitely not worth it.

The vegan kebab was very good, one of the best I've eaten so far. The meat substitute was crispy, flavorful and very tasty. During my short stay in Nuremberg, however, the shop was closed due to construction work and you could get food from a food truck across the street, so I can't say much about the shop.
