Great steaks, best herb butter ever

For me, this steakhouse has a traditional value. I've known it for about 20 years now and the quality of the food has been consistently excellent. Service is always super friendly and fast, the meat is always of very good quality. If you want to eat a good steak, then you shouldn't miss the eku Inn. The price is currently around €40-45 per person including drinks.

For me it's still the best steak in town, apart from the ambience that's reminiscent of the 80's, which actually makes the whole thing great for meat lovers. Address No. 1 in Nuremberg. The service is always top. The quality of the products is always consistently top. The garden in summer is also very inviting.

Food as always very tasty. Unfortunately service today was very unfriendly.

We arrived late and we were attended to promptly, I really liked it.

It's a shame it was one of the best steakhouses in Nuremberg. We were greeted very rudely, and the food arrived at very different times even though we ordered at the same time. We said we were having a birthday party and everything was arranged very carelessly. Three different waiters came to us and there was confusion as to who had ordered what. We still gave a 10% tip for an order of 400 euros, but we were asked to leave early 5 minutes before closing time!! Why are you like that? The store falls and stands with the service!!!!!!We can't help it if you have problems running the restaurant accordingly. Not a second time

I went to EKU INN for lunch today and was very excited about the taste of the 200g fillet steak with a baked potato with sour cream, which really didn't save money. In the beautiful and cozy palm garden you can also enjoy the freshly tapped and cool EKU Pils. Here you are personally greeted in a very friendly manner by the boss and brought to the table by the very nice and attentive junior boss, all respect! The service person was very humorous, friendly and really on the ball. All around a successful experience. P.s. I've been to a few steak houses in Germany, but this is my clear favorite!

Best steak I have eaten, simply delicious and clean, everything perfect

It's a shame it was a hit 30 years ago and hasn't changed since then. There is also a lot of dust in the ceiling and under the individual placemats. The lamps are dusty towards the ceiling. The food is ok except for the fries and the grilled potato that comes out of the oven. Salads are also not really recommended, the cucumber salad looked very cheap, some salads were more like ready-made salad. Service top.

The service was initially very euphoric and that lasted until the order was placed. Well, what can I say? Unfortunately, my wife wasn't offered anything after the first drink. Unfortunately the food was a failure, the steak was ordered medium. In the end it was English and so mixed that it really wasn't anything special. Between the two of us, we still left almost €100 there. That was probably the first and last time.

Wir gehen seit über 30 Jahren in dieses Gasthaus der Familie Mohr, die Karte ist immer mal wieder nur etwas verändert worden, allerdings finde ich, dass die Qualität des Essens, das Personal und die Räumlichkeiten immer perfekt gepflegt, die Qualität des Essens immer auf hohem Niveau und wenn man mal hungrig ist vor allem schnell serviert wird. Der Getränkekarte fehlen ein paar Dinge sowie ein Hugo oder einfach ein Cocktail, allerdings was Bison, Lamm und Rindfleisch angeht ist das Restaurant echt top. Die Qualität des Knoblauchbrotes und des Shrimp-Cocktails ist für das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis wirklich zu empfehlen. Immer gerne wieder, damals und auch in der Zukunft!

Were at EKU for the first time, great food, very nice service, the ambience is a bit old but we ignored that because everything else was perfect, really recommended

We had a business lunch with a total of 7 people and were thrilled: - The service was really excellent, very competent, friendly and fast. - All dishes were excellent (starters, steaks, dessert) Conclusion: The Eku Inn is a traditional Nuremberg hotel, meaning it has been around for decades and has really lost nothing in terms of quality and service. The boss still greets the guests and shows the way to the table. The team is great!

Perfect steak, beautiful garden

My husband and I ate at Eku Inn today and first sat outside with our baby in the stroller. The food was very good and the service was very nice. Unfortunately the weather didn't cooperate anymore, it started to rain and we had to move inside the restaurant. When we asked for a place, Ms. Mohr asked us whether we had reserved. We said no, and before we could explain the situation, the nice waitress from outside came over and explained the situation. Ms. Mohr positioned us very awkwardly, right at the front door, where the wind constantly blew into the stroller. My request to be allowed to move because of this was not really honored. We were allowed to sit one row further back, but still in the entrance area, with the wind problem still existing. Mind you, it was around 5:00 p.m. and still almost empty. Ms. Moor reacted very harshly and said in a loud, forceful tone: “Now a table for five is occupied, for three people”! We felt very uncomfortable after this statement. We were also constantly confronted with her presence as she stood at the reception, repeatedly giving us grim looks and giving us the feeling that we were not wanted. This behavior spoiled our evening to some extent... It's a shame... We paid almost €100... But we didn't feel comfortable anymore. And the clearest part for us, that we weren't really welcome, showed up like this... The table we asked for was now offered to a family, also with three people, who also hadn't reserved but had a German last name. We noticed this because the family introduced themselves by name. Maybe a German family has a different status in this restaurant than we do... A family that obviously doesn't look German. A pity… The fact that we still have to have such experiences these days... We won't be coming anymore because Ms. Mohr is the owner. Equal treatment looks different for us!

Oldest steakhouse in town. Service and food were all perfect.

Unfortunately not recommended for guests who don't want to eat, we were turned away from the beer garden today because we just wanted something to drink. BEER GARDEN was completely empty??? !!! We've never experienced anything like this before

This restaurant was recommended by our hotel and boy were they right! They have a garden terrace out back with covered tables and blankets as needed. Fresh flower scents and a charming atmosphere. Unfortunately it a thunderstorm rolled in before we could order our after dinner drinks, so no time for pics. Trust me, it’s great! That’s all second only to their house made food! Oh so yummy. We enjoyed a tender and delicious bison filet and ribeye accompanied by an enormous baked potato. The house salad has a delightful house made dressing. Dessert was also delicious. Molten lava cake with ice cream and whipped cream. The service is excellent, the food is extremely tasty, and the owners make you feel like family. Please don’t miss this lovely spot.

I have been visiting the EKU inn since my childhood in 1985 and that is now almost 40 years ago. How the years just fly by. I don't think there's anything more to say about the restaurant. It used to be good and nothing has changed today. Good steak, friendly service. We recommend. Parking space in the yard👍. Thank you.

Short and sweet. Nice selection when it comes to meat, but if you order a medium-sized Argentinian rump steak and one arrives English, then something must be wrong with the cuisine. Otherwise the quality of the rump steak wasn't bad.

Werkelijk een vreselijke ervaring. Bediening ver onder de maat. We werden opgejaagd en moesten snel van tafel. Bij het afrekenen werd nog even gemeld dat de bediening niet in de prijs zat. Stond overigens niet op de kaart dat dit zo zou zijn. Sausen leken wel water. Vlees was wel prima. Nooit meer!

The furnishings are something different, whether you like it is a matter of taste, I found it quite nice. The service is fast, friendly and has a few good sayings. Unfortunately, the food did not live up to expectations. A bit carelessly and uncreatively done. The meat was obviously not grilled but rather fried on a platter, neither the roasted aromas nor the structure or taste was particularly impressive. It was ok, not bad quality but also not a steakhouse level as I know it. Reasonably priced.

The place itself is very beautiful and the food is also very good. The staff is great except for the boss. On the phone, the boss is the most personal person and if there is no table available, they don't even say hello on the phone, they just say yes, who is there and then we are full without saying goodbye, we just hang up. I find that outrageous. One should respect the guests.

Restaurant where if you are a carnivore you cannot miss. Meat cooked well and of quality. Perhaps the potato would have been better appreciated with a little less sauce. Good service.

Top steaks and side dishes ensure enthusiasm, everything was very tasty 😋 We weren't offered any particularly good seats, even though there wasn't much going on at the time. In general, the ambience could be refreshed a bit.

Excellent food, super helpful staff towards those of us who don't speak English but only Italian. We spent a pleasant evening, enjoying excellent quality typical dishes and concluded, thanks to Simone, with a good Neapolitan espresso. Highly recommended.

You could cut the fillet with a spoon, it was so tender and perfect. I ordered it medium rare. There's no skimping on the sour cream either. And the French pepper sauce was amazing! With the salad, especially for the price, I expected more from it. I would advise against this. The furnishings could now also be spruced up to a higher quality. Definitely take the apple fritters to finish.

New Year's Eve, no one has room, or just these stupid "New Year's Eve menus", but the great, experienced EKU inn has 2 small places for hungry girls who want the most delicious steak in preparation for a late dance into the New Year. Can be done spontaneously, as always delicious and very friendly. Top!

As we did some time ago, we returned again today. Well, the ambience isn't the hippest, but the food is excellent!! The steaks were on point and super tender, the potatoes were great, and the ratatouille vegetables were serious. 😋

Ich gehe mit meiner Ehefrau seit 1982 ins Steakhouse essen. Wir meinen, es gibt dort die besten Steaks der Welt. Sind wir mal schlecht drauf, dann Steakhouse! Alle vom Personal waren immer und ausnahmslos freundlich. Das Essen war immer spitze. Dies schreibe ich wegen der negativen Kritik einiger. Wir sind kritisch und können vergleichen. Also 100 Punkte für Steakhouse und Personal und Chefin, dies ist mein Ergebnis seit 1982.

Waren leider sehr enttäuscht. Haben schon bessere Steaks gegessen für das Geld. Der Apfelstrudel war aus dem Tiefkühlfach.

A really good steak meal. The meat was well cooked, the sauces and sides were well done, the service was quick and pleasant. They had both English and German menus available. Overall a really nice place to have dinner.

After 3 days and many restoraunts we finally find a nice place with helpful staff, and very GOOD STEAK (thas was what we looking for) , the place was pretty nice with good vibes, the food come very fast and was delicious, we payed total 60€ for two person I recommend 100%, if you are steak lover you won't be disappointed

Für mich immer noch das beste Steak in Nürnberg und der Service super freundlich, schnell und aufmerksam….einzig das Ambiente ist etwas ins Alter gekommen.

Gehe hier seit ca. 20 Jahren zum Essen und wurde noch nie enttäuscht. Einrichtung ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen aber die Steaks sind nach wie vor Top. Kann ich nur empfehlen.

Stabile Steaks, freundlicher Service - Hier essen nur die wahren Kenner die saftigen Fleischblöcke.

Das EKU Steak Restaurant, ist eine der klassischen Adressen in Nürnberg für ein gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Zu empfehlen ist das Top-Rumpsteak! Das Ambiente des Innenbereiches ist eher klassisch gehalten - das ist natürlich Geschmacksache aber ein bisschen Moderne würde dem Ganzen einen zusätzlichen Charme verleihen. Im Gegenspiel bietet der Außenbereich im Hinterhof eine sehr schöne Atmosphäre, welche den Gästen ab den wärmeren Tagen zur Verfügung steht.

Die Speisen sind eine 10/10; der Service ist auf zack und hat auch mal einen Spruch auf den Lippen, aber immer souverän. Wenn der Laden voll ist, dann kann es recht laut werden. Daher bei Ambiente einen Stern Abzug, aber das ist Jammern auf hohem Niveau. Unbedingte Empehlung

Es fing ziemlich unfreundlich am Eingang an, wo eine ältere Dame völlig überfordert mit den Reservierungen war. Weiter ging es damit, dass die Bestellung vergessen wurde - vom Service charmant verkauft, am Ende aber halt trotzdem vergessen. Bestellt wurde Combi Steak und Bohnen mit Speck. Das Essen war ok, aber auch keine Offenbarung. In Summe ist das Teil schon recht abgerockt.

Das Essen im EKU ist wirklich außerordentlich gut. Die Inneneinrichtung stammt aus den 80ern und war damals schon nicht schön. Dafür herrscht eine sehr familiäre und freundliche Atmosphäre, die das gut ausgleicht.

Das Essen war sehr lecker, das Steak auf den Punkt. Der Service war spitze. Unser Kellner Jürgen hat sich ins Zeug gelegt, war sehr zuvorkommend und wir hatten unfassbar lustige Momente. Vielen Dank dafür. Von mir eine absolute weiterempfehlung.

Habe mir lange überlegt überhaupt eine Bewertung zu schreiben. Jedoch finde ich es für wichtig meine Erfahrung zu teilen. Hatte meine Frau zu einem schönen Abendessen ins EKU inn eingeladen. Ich hatte einen Grillteller, das Fleisch war sowas von zäh und mit Flachsen durchzogen, unglaublich, absolut minderwertig, konnte nicht verzehrt werden Es ist ja möglich, dass mal ein Stück Fleisch nicht so gut gewachsen ist. Doch jetzt kommt es noch besser. Ich reklamierte bei der sehr netten Bedienung, die war wirklich spitze. Bei Reklamationen müsse Sie die Chefin informieren. Als die sogenannte "Chefin" (Seniorin, hohes Alter) nun endlich an den Tisch kam, reklamierte ich das Stück Fleisch. Ohne Erfolg! Überaus Arrogant, fast schon frech und schnippisch bekam ich als Antwort: "Was wollen Sie denn von einem Grillteller erwarten". Nie wieder EKU Inn in Nürnberg Färberstraße.

It's an excellent place for a good steak, perfectly prepared. Tasty sides, the baked potato with cream was fantastic. The only thing which wasn't to my taste was the green pepper source, and I was expecting something completely different. Remember that every steak is served with herbal butter, which is excellent.

Steak Medium well bestellt , Medium rare bekommn. Knoblauchbrote haben noch Fett getropft und nicht mehr so wie früher, qualitativ schlecht. Knoblauch hat gefehlt

Was soll ich sagen, wie immer SPITZE. Wir gehen zum Steak essen immer ins EKU-Inn. Sehr gutes Fleisch, Garpunkt perfekt, Ofenkartoffel mit Sour cream ultra lecker, Salat... alles hervorragend. Trotz der kurzfristigen Reservierung wurde mein Wunsch berücksichtigt, einfach toll. Wir kommen bestimmt wieder. Vielen Dank!

Wie immer sehr gut. Gleichbleibende Qualität über Jahre...und das seit der Eröffnung 1972

Vor Jahren war ich öfters Mal hier Essen und immer zufrieden. Heute nicht mehr ganz so. Vorweg, das Essen war qualitativ gut und alles hat geschmeckt. Allerdings würde ich auch behaupten wollen, dass sich an der Zubereitung und der Auswahl in den letzten 15 Jahren nichts geändert hat. Es gibt die gleichen Vorspeisen und Beilagen, wie gefühlt immer. Gleiches gilt leider für die Einrichtung. Ich bin durchaus ein Freund von klassischen Einrichtungen, aber diese hier hat sich einfach überlebt. Ich würde denken, dass die Einrichtung und das Layout des Restaurants sogar einiges älter sind als ich. Das mag in allen Wirtshäusern toll sein, hier macht es eher den Eindruck, dass man schlicht keine Lust hat Mal etwas zu investieren. Die Toiletten sind sauber aber sicherlich ebenso alt. Da ich bei all meinen Besuchen immer die Wahrnehmung hatte, dass das Geschäft ganz gut läuft, ist mir schleierhaft warum man nicht etwas mehr in Optik und Komfort für die Kunden investiert. Die Bedienung passt dazu. Beide Servicekräfte waren freundlich und wussten was sie tun. Gleichzeitig fühlte sich der Service aber sehr gehetzt an. Das Lokal war am Nachmittag nicht voll. Auch die Küche schoss das Essen nur so raus. Es wirkte nach Massenabfertigung, wie meine Begleitung anmerkte. Insgesamt kann man das Essen durchaus loben, den Rest leider nicht so. Wenn hier ein wenig investiert werden würde, könnte man wieder was wirklich tolles daraus machen.
