Geniale Location für entspannte Abende! Das EKU Inn ist absoluter Kult in Nürnberg. Das Essen ist super lecker, die Portionen sind üppig und die Preise absolut fair. Besonders die entspannte Atmosphäre und das freundliche, lockere Team machen jeden Besuch top. Ob auf ein Bier nach der Arbeit oder zum gemütlichen Essen mit Freunden – absolute Empfehlung!

Mein Besuch im EKU Inn war wunderbar – das Bisonfilet und das Wagyu-Rinderrippensteak waren absolut köstlich. Der Service war schnell und effizient.

Es ist schön, wenn Dinge noch so sind, wie sie früher einmal waren. Ich habe das EKU Inn schon seit gut 10 Jahren nicht mehr besucht ( bin weggezogen aus Nürnberg) und war deshalb sehr gespannt, wie das Ganze nun ist. Kurzum: das Essen ist so gut wie früher, die Steaks sind hervorragend, es gibt eine große Auswahl. Die Beilagen sind so, wie man sich dies bei einem Steakhaus wünscht. Bei guten Wetter kann man sehr schön und mit reichlich Abstand zu den anderen Tischen im großen Innenhof sitzen. Die weiblichen Bedingungen waren sehr freundlich und zuvorzuvorkommend, die männliche Bedienung am diesem Sonntagabend konnte sich allerdings weder zu einem Lächeln noch zu einem guten Abend oder Ähnlichem überwinden. Die muffelige Wortkargheit wurde allerdings durch die schon angesprochene Freundlichkeit der Damen etwas wettgemacht. Einen Punktabzug gibt es aber dennoch; man darf sich in so einem Lokal dann doch schon etwas mehr an Freundlichkeit von allen Bedienungen erwarten. Die Preise liegen im gehobenen Mittelfeld: für zweimal Rumpsteak 280 g mit Beilagen und zwei Getränke habe ich knapp 95 € bezahlt (Trinkgeld noch nicht eingerechnet) insgesamt: durchaus empfehlenswert. Freundlichkeit ist verbesserungswürdig.

Das Fleisch war unglaublich. Auf den Punkt gebraten. Ich habe mir mal etwas gegönnt und ein Wagyu-Fleisch gegessen und was soll ich sagen... Das letzte mal als ich so ein gutes zartes Wagyu gegessen habe war ich in Japan in einem Sternelokal.

Das mit Abstand beste Steakhouse in der Umgebung, habe lange nicht mehr so gut gegessen. Service top, essen top, Stimmung top.

Der Service und die Steaks sind für mich immer wieder gut und was mich sehr freut, ist, das die Einrichtung so einen retro Charme ausstrahlt. Mein persönlicher Favorit ist das Rib-Eye-Steak!!!! Dazu der Steakhaus-Salat !

Es gibt kein besseres Steak in der Stadt. Es hat sich in 50 Jahren nix verändert. Ich war schon als junge Frau mit Familie dort essen.

Seit Jahren immer Verlass auf gleichbleide hohe Qualität. Top Empfehlung 👍.

Wir waren heute das erste Mal dort essen – und ganz sicher auch das letzte Mal. Ich habe einen „Spargelsalat“ für stolze 15,80 € bestellt und war fassungslos, was serviert wurde: fünf kalte Spargelstangen, ein winziges Stück Tomate und etwas Petersilie. Das als Salat zu bezeichnen, ist schlicht irreführend. Hier stimmt weder die Beschreibung noch das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Von Seiten des Service gab es keinerlei Hinweis darauf, was einen tatsächlich erwartet. So etwas grenzt für mich an Abzocke. Ein Besuch ist aus meiner Sicht absolut nicht zu empfehlen.

Absolut verdiente 5 von 5 Sternen! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Das Steakhouse ist einfach nur top – das Essen ist jedes Mal auf den Punkt perfekt. Die Steaks sind unglaublich zart, saftig und genau so zubereitet, wie man es sich wünscht. Geschmacklich wirklich eine 10 von 10! Aber nicht nur das Essen überzeugt: Der Service ist genauso hervorragend. Das Team ist immer super freundlich, aufmerksam und geht individuell auf Wünsche und Bedürfnisse ein. Man fühlt sich sofort willkommen und bestens aufgehoben. Für mich ganz klar eines der besten Steakhäuser überhaupt – absolute Empfehlung! Immer wieder gerne!

Seit meiner Kindheit – also seit mittlerweile über 25 Jahren – kommen wir immer wieder ins Eku Inn in Nürnberg, und es ist jedes Mal ein besonderes Erlebnis. Das Essen ist durchgehend auf höchstem Niveau: Vor allem die Steaks sind absolut empfehlenswert. Egal ob medium rare oder well done – sie kommen immer genau so auf den Tisch, wie man sie bestellt hat, perfekt auf den Punkt gebraten. Was dieses Restaurant für mich aber wirklich besonders macht, ist die Atmosphäre. Es fühlt sich an wie eine kleine Zeitreise, denn vieles ist noch genauso wie früher. Ein echter Familienbetrieb mit unglaublich herzlichem Service – die Chefin und das gesamte Team sind stets freundlich, aufmerksam und sorgen dafür, dass man sich sofort willkommen fühlt. Ein Detail, das ich besonders liebe: Schon als Kind stand beim Reinkommen immer eine Schale mit Süßigkeiten bereit – und genau diese kleine, liebevolle Geste gibt es heute noch. Mein absoluter Tipp: Unbedingt die Folienkartoffeln mit Sour Cream probieren – die sind einfach unschlagbar! Für mich ist das Eku Inn ein Ort voller Erinnerungen, Genuss und Beständigkeit. 💛

Das Steak war wirklich gut, mir hat der Aufenthalt sehr gut gefallen!

ich war immer ein Fan vom EKU inn und bin am Freitag total enttäuscht worden. Das Lokal war fast leer. Ich hatte reserviert. Beim Betreten hat uns niemand empfangen oder uns unseren Tisch zugewiesen. Der Preis meines Essen war dann teurer als es in der Karte stand ,weil angeblich die Garnelen grösser war . Was nicht stimmte . Der Beilagensalat war wohl eher aus dem Glas und schwamm in jeder Menge Jogurtsauce . Die Teller wurden nach dem Essen nicht abgeräumt.Der Kellner war mehr als lustlos. Man wurde nicht gefragt ob man noch etwas trinken möchte als unsere Gläser leer waren. Nachtisch oder Espresso - Fehlanzeige und dafür bezahlt man dann zu zweit 100,- Euro. Ich kann das ganze nur darauf zurückführen das die Chefin nicht im Restaurant war. Wenn die Katze aus dem Haus ist , tanzen die Mäuse auf dem Tisch. Ohne Worte. 🙈

Ich war anlässlich einer Messe dort zu Gast und war sehr zufrieden. Die Auswahl der Speisen ist groß und gut und es gibt sicherlich für jeden etwas. Der Service war sehr aufmerksam, freundlich und echt fix. Ich hatte ein leckeres Pfeffersteak mit Bohnen in Speck und Kroketten. Die Portion war echt mehr als ausreichend und es hat mir top geschmeckt. Es empfiehlt sich auf jeden Fall zu reservieren. Das Lokal ist sehr gut besucht. Ich werde dort sicher wieder einkehren.

Der erste Eindruck war gut. Auch ohne Reservierung einen angenehmen Platz erhalten. Service zuvorkommend und schnell. Portionen jedoch enttäuschenden: Beim "Grillteller" 3 Mini-Steakstückchen, dazu ein Haufen geeschmackloser Pommes (vermutl. aus der Heißluft-Friteuse) und mehr als die Hälfte des Tellers gemischter Salat. Für fast 25,- € hatte ich auf dem Grillteller eigentlich auch entspr.. Fleisch erwartet, aber das hier war ein Salatteller mit Beilage. Zum Glück waren wir nur auf der Durchreise und kommen ohnehin nie wieder. Für ein Restaurant im Nürnberger Rotlichtviertel definitiv überteuert!

Das Essen und alle Mitarbeiter waren super Nett! Das Fleisch war wirklich perfekt und genau so wie ich es wollte. Definitiv eine Empfehlung!

Ich bereue es sehr nicht mehr, und somit auch positive Rezessionen, geschrieben zu haben. Aber das Erlebnis heute, hat mich derart getroffen, dass ich nicht umhin komme darüber zu berichten. Nur zum Background, ich besuche das Eku Inn seit über 40 Jahren. Die letzten Jahre ca 15 mal / Jahr. Die meisten der tollen Servicekräfte sind mir bekannt und einer der Gründe weshalb ich regelmäßig das Restaurant besucht habe. Etwas anders gestaltet sich jedoch meine Einstellung zur Nachfolge der Geschäftsführung. Wir haben heute, wie immer, zwei Ribeye Steaks a 400 Gramm bestellt. Das eine Steak ganz wunderbar, zwei cm dick, perfekt medium, tolle Röstaromen. Das zweite Steak 1 cm stark, nahezu well done und Optik wie ein gekochtes Stück Rind. Also einem Steakhouse definitiv nicht würdig. Für mich kein Problem, das ist Handwerk und kann mal passieren. Ich habe mir dann erlaubt beim Chef das zweimal angeschnittene Fleisch zu reklamieren. O-Ton Chef, das ist ein Naturprodukt und gut wie es ist. Es wurde mir dennoch ein neues Stück Fleisch mit reduzierter Größe auf 250 Gramm zum jedoch vollen 400 gr Preis angeboten. Eine Unverschämtheit! Leider habe ich versäumt das Ganze auf Bild zu dokumentieren. Wir reden hier von einem Rechnungspreis von 135€ für unser Dinner! Des weiteren wurde mir unterstellt, bereits des Öfteren derartig reklamiert zu haben. Ich habe ein Mal ein Steak nochmal nachbearbeiten lassen, weil es komplett rare war. Derart arrogant und hochnäsig verhält sich nur jemand, der sich ins gemachte Nest gesetzt hat. Sehr schade, aber es gibt ja noch andere Steakhäuser, wie beispielsweise das „Sanders Steakhouse“, wo einem derartiges Verhalten nicht widerfährt. Und die Qualität generell definitiv eine Stufe höher ist. Ich fahre zukünftig gerne 5 km weiter, um im Sanders zu speisen. Eku Inn ist für uns Geschichte

Dank der freundlichen und hilfsbereiten Dame namens Dilem genossen wir ein köstliches und wunderbares Essen. Wir erklärten ihr unsere Wünsche, und sie beriet uns entsprechend. Wir waren sehr zufrieden. Würden wir wiederkommen? Auf jeden Fall!

Wir sind alle drei bis vier Monate mal da. Und ja,..Steak-Filetsteak war ganz okay.. Aber das letzte mal wesentlich besser. Beilagen schmeckten gar nicht, solche schlechten Gurken bekommst du nicht einmal im Kaufland am Samstagabend um 19 Uhr... Maiskolben für 7,50 € pro Stück, da schmeckst du etwas undefinierbares..Aber kein Mais... Ich sagte dem Kellner direkt wo er fragte, hat aber keine Reaktion gezeigt.. Schade..Echt...

Eines der köstlichsten Steaks, die ich je gegessen habe.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Wir waren heute ganz spontan ohne Reservierung im Eku-Inn Nürnberg. Obwohl das Restaurant komplett ausgebucht war, wurden uns zunächst für eine Stunde zwei Plätze an der Bar angeboten. Das haben wir zunächst abgelehnt und sind wieder rausgegangen. Kaum standen wir draußen und suchten nach Alternativen, kam der Kellner bereits hinter uns her und sagte, dass ein Tisch frei wird und wir ihn für etwa zwei Stunden nutzen können – natürlich haben wir zugesagt. Das Steak mit der Chimichurri-Soße war fantastisch – super zart, perfekt gegart und sehr lecker – wir mussten nicht nachwürzen. Auch der Nachtisch war ein absoluter Traum: gebratene Apfelringe mit Zimt und Zucker, dazu eine Kugel Vanilleeis – einfach himmlisch! Ein kleiner Kritikpunkt: Wir gingen davon aus, gebratene Champignons bestellt zu haben, bekommen haben wir jedoch eine Champignon-Soße, wie man sie z. B. zu Schnitzel kennt. Auch bei den Prinzessbohnen dachten wir, sie wären gebraten – tatsächlich waren sie lediglich gedämpft. Hier hätten wir uns von der Bedienung vorab eine etwas genauere Erklärung gewünscht. Unser Fazit: sehr zu empfehlen! Sehr lecker, sehr zartes Rinderfilet und insgesamt ein toller Service. Wir kommen definitiv wieder!

Meiner Meinung nach die beste Anlaufstelle im umkreis wenn’s um Fleisch gehen soll! Komme gerne hierher.

Richtig lecker und gutes Ambiente

Beschwerde oder Rückmeldung an den Betreiber:In den letzten Wochen haben wir mehrfach versucht, in Ihrem Restaurant zu speisen. Dabei kam es wiederholt zu Unstimmigkeiten im Serviceablauf, beispielsweise wurden Steaks teilweise deutlich vor den Beilagen serviert.Am Freitag, dem 06.02.2026, war die Service- und Speisequalität jedoch so unzufriedenstellend, dass wir künftig von weiteren Besuchen absehen werden. Die bestellte Gemüseplatte zum Preis von 22,50 € bestand zu einem erheblichen Teil aus kaltem Dosenmais; die übrigen Bestandteile machten ebenfalls keinen frischen Eindruck. Ein entsprechendes Foto habe ich zur Verdeutlichung beigefügt.Zudem war der Servicepersonal vor 18 Uhr nicht mehr im Gastraum anwesend, sodass eine Bezahlung zunächst nicht möglich war. Erst gegen 18:08 Uhr erschien der zuständige Kellner wieder (außer Haus), offenbar aufgrund des Hinweises seiner Kollegen, und stellte uns schließlich die Rechnung aus. Insgesamt vermittelte der Aufenthalt den Eindruck mangelnder Organisation und Aufmerksamkeit gegenüber den Gästen. Ich empfehle, die Abläufe im Service sowie die Qualität der angebotenen Speisen zu überprüfen, um künftigen Gästen ein positives Restauranterlebnis zu ermöglichen

Immer wieder Top ! Steakhaus 1. Liga 😳

Essen war sehr gut ,der "Standart Salat war sehr lieblos serviert eben halt grüner Salat mit drei Scheiben Tomaten eine Art Jogurt Soße für 7,50€" das Lamm war sehr gut auch das Argentinische Steak sehr gut aber Preis Leistung geht besser . Ich würde sagen man kann das besser machen was das gestalten des Steak Tellers betrifft. Und bin in sehr vielen Steak Restaurant unterwegs. Und bisher war ein Steakhaus in Garmisch unschlagbar. Aber ein wieder kommen ist in Sicht. In großen und ganzen war es gut.

Schon öfters dort gewesen und NIE bereut, egal was wir bestellt hatten... Nur der Fisch fehlt uns noch 😉🐟😇

Einmal und nie wieder, so etwas arrogantes habe ich noch nie erlebt !!! ich bestellt mir ein Filet Medium und bekommen habe ich es englisch. Als ich die Bedienung darauf angesprochen habe, bekam ich zur Antwort: kann passieren, ist halt viel los. Sorry, aber das lies ich so nicht stehen und bekam als erneute Antwort: wenn es unbedingt sein muss, dann lasse ich das Steak halt nochmals kurz anbraten. Dieses Verhalten geht gar nicht und ich werde um dieses Steakhaus in Zukunft einen weiten Bogen machen !!!

The owner's rudeness right at the door is beyond belief. It makes you want to leave and forgo the meal.

A large place that, even when crowded, isn't too noisy. My husband and I had dinner at the counter, and we had an exceptional grilled Argentine fillet: very lean, perfectly cooked and seasoned, truly excellent. We also drank a glass of very good Chilean red wine. A great recommendation. We'll definitely be back.

I went to a steakhouse again after many years and was quite disappointed. The shrimp appetizer was really tasty, but for around €20, only four shrimp with some garlic bread and bacon seemed excessive. The filet steak was okay, but nothing special; I've had much better from the butcher at home. The restaurant was completely overcrowded, and the staff couldn't even get to the tables properly, so as a customer, you had to help with serving to pass everything around. This also made it quite loud and not at all cozy. I've always found even the big chains to be better. For that price, there are plenty of other restaurants in town that offer significantly more.

We've been going there at least once a year for 22 years. And we were there again yesterday. As always, everything was fantastic! The food and service were consistently excellent. We're already looking forward to our next visit.

Very tasty rib-eye steak, friendly service. The chairs are quite uncomfortable and the tables aren't very practical either. The furniture is definitely showing its age... Despite the delicious food, the restaurant is packed.

The filet steak with beans and lamb's lettuce as a starter was delicious. It was cooked to perfection. I'll gladly come back again on my next visit to Nuremberg.

Good selection, great value for money

Today we ate at EKU Inn (4 people). Parking: There's a free parking lot for guests at the back of the restaurant. If it's full, there's also a parking garage just down the next street. Food: Garlic bread, 200g filet steak with fries, and the house dessert was a surprise. But if you love chocolate, then the chocolate soufflé with vanilla ice cream and whipped cream is the one for you ☺️. We finished with an espresso. The steak was cooked to perfection, medium as requested, and everything tasted fantastic. Although a bit pricey, it's worth every penny for the quality. It's not for someone looking for mass-produced food at low prices. The interior could be a bit more modern. Service: Very friendly and attentive. We felt very comfortable and well taken care of. We had a great time ☺️. The rest of the staff was always on hand to clear tables and serve food and drinks. The owner's wife even took a few minutes to chat with us. I can highly recommend it to anyone who appreciates excellent food and quality.

The place was very busy, with a moderate to high noise level. I went on a Friday, with a reservation, and it was quite crowded. The waitress was friendly and bilingual, but due to the high volume of customers, she ended up forgetting part of my order. The food was very good and delivered quickly after ordering.

Came here several times during my stay and ordered the same thing every time, it was that good. The staff were always friendly and welcoming, and we shared a few laughs along the way. My steak was cooked to perfection each time. Highly recommend! Also they accept Apple wallet payments.

Steak Restaurant in Nuremberg We were here as a group of four on a Saturday with a reservation. Unfortunately, neither the greeting at the door from the floor manager nor the waitress at the table was friendly. The restaurant was full, and there was hardly any space at the table because the chairs were back to back. Therefore, unfortunately, we deducted a rating for the service and noise level in the restaurant, as well as the seating area. We ordered various steaks and side dishes, and the food was excellent in terms of taste and cooking. However, one wonders whether five croquettes really should cost €5.90 or whether they're cutting corners here. We also charged extra for herb butter because the waiter didn't know whether it was included when ordering. A real shame. Summary Food top-notch service flop

I have eaten at this restaurant three times now and it has always been very good, I recommend it to anyone who wants to eat a good steak

I've been there every now and then for trade fairs over the years, but after my visit this week, it was definitely the last time. The owner and/or chef have probably changed; previously, you could choose your dry-age, but they weren't "demonstrated" this time. The bison advertised on the website wasn't available either, and special cuts like flank aren't even available. So, a colleague and I ordered a 300g fillet steak, and mine was supposed to be medium-rare. For starters, I had king prawns wrapped in bacon. These (4) came on wooden skewers, and only 2 of the 4 were visibly wrapped in bacon, which, unfortunately, wasn't even remotely crispy. Disappointing for an 18€ starter, even though the prawns themselves were quite good. Next came the steak (with wedges), seared on both sides as usual, but while an internal temperature of 52°C was expected, my steak didn't reach 10°C. That means not just raw, but cold. The waitress I spoke to about it was completely overwhelmed by the complaint. She said she could have it cooked a bit higher – which would definitely not be possible to make it medium-rare. For €40, I would have expected a new one and asked the waitress how we could handle this. She then steamed off without a word, and my colleagues and I assumed she would reappear shortly after the matter was resolved. Far from it: I had eaten my wedges, my colleagues had finished eating, and the waitress didn't show up even after making eye contact. To add to the audacity, one has to assume that she deliberately brought the bill while I was outside smoking. And then there was the complete ignorance of her own incompetence: all prices were calculated in full, not even a side dish was omitted to compensate for the ruined steak. When asked about this, the waitress said she had offered to reheat the steak. I can only recommend to every meat lover: go to a steakhouse where they know their craft.

Well, what happened to me today was the last straw. I've never experienced such treatment. My friend and I always go here for dinner after shopping. My friend and her husband have been regulars for decades. The food is generally good, but if you have a complaint, the manager will yell at you and give you a hard time, like a stupid schoolchild, in a loud voice, in front of all the guests. In the summer, I complained about the beans with bacon, which weren't seasoned at all. The manager said, "Salt is supposed to be on the table." Today I ordered my fillet steak medium rare and received it medium. When I complained, the manager loudly yelled at me in a manner that was beyond rude. I don't normally write reviews, but what this elderly lady is doing is beyond rude. The service was very friendly and tried to defuse the situation.

As a lifelong carnivore, I can only say: the EKU Inn is a must for steak lovers. Very high-quality meat, perfectly prepared, and quick yet unobtrusive service. And what definitely needs mentioning: the ambiance! Seventies meets postmodernism, guided by Goethe's color theory. All of this in a medieval building and... it's perfect!

Prices have risen dramatically, even though the portions seem to be getting smaller and smaller, and the quality is declining. That's what it used to be. We used to be regular customers. Now we go there once or twice a year at most.

In a world where everything is constantly changing, this restaurant is our rock in the surf of gastronomy. ​The reason for this is simple: the unwavering quality. From our first visit in the 1970s to the present day, the steaks have been consistently outstanding. Always perfectly cooked, tender, and full of flavor. Maintaining this level of excellence over decades is an art, and here it is masterfully mastered. ​The service is just as consistent: warm, attentive, and absolutely professional. The food and service are really good. But the lady at the door, who greets you, immediately makes you feel unwelcome. It's a shame, because that's exactly where the visit begins. The real problem is that there's no competition in Nuremberg—otherwise, it would be over quickly.

A very pleasant and cozy atmosphere, accompanied by a friendly and attentive team. I was particularly pleasantly surprised by the dishes' difference from classic German cuisine – fresh, creative, and full of flavor. The selection is large and varied, so there's truly something for everyone. A place you'll gladly return to.

Very fast staff - initially. The food was delicious - outstanding! Unfortunately, the waiter then took an extended smoke break, so we had to wait a bit... The ambiance seems to have remained unchanged for a long time - which is fine... but the restrooms... something could be done there! Parking is available in the courtyard around the corner!

Excellent steaks, great value for money. Reservations and even a slightly late arrival were accepted with a smile. Service staff were friendly and competent, happy to crack a joke. The senior manager is the soul of the place. +++ The restrooms have been renovated, but the old tiles were retained (sustainable!!) and are almost up-to-date again. A great combination of old and new. And above all: everything was very clean!

Great steaks, best herb butter ever

The food was very good. The steak was well prepared and reasonably priced. Unfortunately, the staff wasn't particularly friendly, and the atmosphere was very unpleasant. There was no music, and we were completely alone in the restaurant. The decor isn't my cup of tea, and we had to wait a long time for the staff to return. The restaurant is highly recommended for the food, but unfortunately, not for anything else.

I've been to many meat restaurants in the region, but I can say with certainty that the quality of the meat here and how it's prepared is simply top-notch, as are the vegetables. The atmosphere is also very pleasant overall, especially the open kitchen is a real highlight. Watching the sizzling, juicy pieces of meat is truly fascinating. But... the waiters 🤦‍♂️ Honestly, they really take away the desire to even be here. If I were the owner, I would send the entire staff to a training course. This just doesn't work, those faces as if they're all forced to work in captivity. No greeting, no smile, just nothing. Everything seems forced. You can't make a good impression like that.

The food was very good. The price/performance ratio was completely acceptable. The service was very friendly. The owner (84 years old) is a real veteran. The decor is a bit retro, but clean and perfectly fine. Although you can watch the chef sizzling, the excellent ventilation system eliminates any cooking odors. Parking is available in front of the door on the street or nearby.

A place that's more than just a restaurant Everything here is fresh, from the crisp salads to the perfectly grilled steak. Each dish is prepared with love and experience according to our own recipes. The team is consistently friendly, welcoming, and attentive. The owner's grandson, a down-to-earth and personable person, embodies the soul of this place. The steak? Cooked to perfection every time, evenly, tenderly, and full of flavor. Here, quality is lived with true passion. But a meal here is more than just food. It's an experience. A little journey through time full of enjoyment that you'll want to experience again and again. The best part? It tastes as good as always, and that means consistently excellent. Anyone who has been here knows: disappointment is impossible.

A classic in Nuremberg. I was absolutely won over by the attentive service and the quality of the food. The beer garden in the back courtyard is very pleasant and invites you to linger for a while. Since it was a business lunch, no pictures were taken. The only drawback is that the plumbing in the courtyard could use some modernization due to the smell of the plumbing (very old sewer connection, probably without the necessary ventilation).

We had one of the best restaurant visits in a long time. Super attentive and very friendly staff and really excellent food. It's probably worth mentioning that three of us four are vegetarians. We would have been totally happy with the truly fantastic side dishes, like baked potatoes, wedges, ratatouille, garlic bread, etc., but they also offer a vegetarian schnitzel (maybe vegan?), which we really enjoyed. The meat-eater, by the way, was also very, very satisfied with his steak – cooked to perfection and simply perfect. The chocolate cake for dessert was the crowning glory. If we ever come back to Nuremberg, we definitely want to be guests again.
