The restaurant should have acoustic panels. It was extremely loud, making conversation virtually impossible. The food was good; I had beef fillet with potato gratin and vegetables for 26 euros.

The first impression was negative right from the start: The bartender seemed grumpy, and the waiters were visibly stressed. While we waited about ten minutes for our reserved table, we could clearly observe this hectic and unfriendly behavior. The salad plate was fresh, but carelessly arranged at the salad station. Before the main course, no one took the time to clear the empty salad plates – the main courses were simply placed on the already full table. The salmon was equally unappealing: It was served unceremoniously with a piece of potato gratin and spinach, which was just as unenthusiastically slapped onto the plate. The steaks were so heavily seared from the grill that parts of them tasted burnt. One of the steaks was even raw inside. Another five minutes passed before we finally got a waiter to come to our table to return it. The steak was put back on the grill and didn't return until about ten minutes later. In the meantime, three out of four of us had already finished eating. Despite this, the waitress cleared the table even though one person was still eating. When we pointed this out, she simply replied that they were very busy. Overall, the experience was disappointing: The carelessly presented food and the stressed, unfriendly atmosphere of the staff made us feel uncomfortable as guests.

A very well-maintained restaurant. The staff was very friendly. Manager Birgmeir had everything under control. We got a table quickly and the food was delicious and prepared exactly as requested.

Even though they had made the wrong reservation for us, they found a table within 10 minutes. It's right next to the Yipbaşı markets. The location is great. The atmosphere is comfortable and makes you feel good. The food is quite delicious. I'd say it's one of the top places to eat meat.

I just went to a steakhouse, and honestly, I haven't had such a long, delicious piece of meat in ages. Perfectly cooked, bursting with flavor, and simply an amazing experience. The service was also excellent: attentive, friendly, and quick, without being intrusive. The dessert was truly the crowning glory. Unique, absolutely outstanding in taste, and the perfect ending. The steaks were inedible – we noticed this on our last visit as well. The meat had a very bitter taste, as if the grill wasn't properly cleaned and burnt residue from the previous meat was transferred. We won't be visiting Block House again. Either the staff isn't adequately trained, or it's simply a tourist trap.

Anyone expecting a burger will be disappointed! It's a ground beef patty and some salad, and has nothing to do with a burger! This isn't even mentioned on the menu!! Definitely not a second date for me 😄 There are plenty of other steakhouses where you actually get what you order!

Block House is a very high-quality establishment, and the prices reflect that. Anyone who doesn't give it 5 stars probably has unrealistic expectations. Absolutely top-notch!

Block Hause used to be a good place for steaks. But those days are gone. If you had to describe the place, think rustic oak from the 80s. Very dark and oppressive. The service was friendly and tried hard. The food was presented without any care, tasted okay, and the portions were a bit small. They could definitely improve their roast meat.

Nice restaurant. I had chestnut soup and what was supposed to be crispy goose leg. Unfortunately, the main course arrived while I was still enjoying my appetizer (which was tasty). However, the goose leg wasn't cooked through and was anything but crispy. I wouldn't normally have ordered it at a steakhouse, but since it was advertised on the blackboard, I decided to go for it. Which was a mistake, unfortunately 🤷. The restaurant generously offered a complimentary double espresso.

Blockhouse is always worth a visit, whether in Munich, Nuremberg, or anywhere else. The usual high quality.

The food is great, and the price is reasonable for a steakhouse in such a central location. I'd gladly come back. But be warned, next time I'd recommend making a reservation. There were five of us, and we arrived at 5 pm and barely managed to get a table.

Nice meat, great salad. We got the huftsteak and it came with colesaw a kind of McDonald's fries which I don't think is appropriate for a nice restaurant. Prices are high for a meal, but that is the case accross whole Germany nowadays.

Hmm... the quality of the past is unfortunately no longer available, which is a shame. The red wine was very cold, the Aperol Spritz was simply watery and thin, the salads were lacking in flavor but fresh, the meat was rather thin and therefore difficult to grill medium-rare. I got it medium to medium-well, and the service was excellent. Unfortunately, others can do much better for the price. It's a shame...

A truly great steakhouse! The food was consistently delicious – the steak was perfectly prepared, the sides fresh and well-seasoned. Despite being very busy, the service was fast and everything ran smoothly. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, and you immediately felt at home. The portion sizes are absolutely reasonable – you'll be full without being overindulged. A particular highlight was the dessert: the vanilla ice cream was simply divine, the best I've ever had! We're regulars here and at many other branches throughout Germany. What we experienced today in Nuremberg is completely unacceptable. We wanted to host a family celebration and had reserved eight places at short notice. Many people were looking forward to the American Tenderloin. After we were seated, we learned they were sold out. What? The "flagship" and flagship of the Block Häuser restaurant not available? In the rush, we had to look for another location. They should have said that when we made the last-minute reservation!!! No apology from the manager on site. It couldn't be more unprofessional!

Very friendly staff, great food and overall very family-friendly (even with small children)

Almost everyone had the Mr. Rump Steak, which was served with a baked potato with sour cream and a side salad. The food arrived reasonably quickly, and everyone enjoyed it. The desired degree of doneness was achieved well for all of them; the only drawback was a burnt taste, even though the steak wasn't burnt. Perhaps a grill that wasn't completely clean.

Very tasty food with generous portions. Drinks and salads arrived promptly, and the wait for the main course was acceptable despite the restaurant being full. Due to its size, it can get noisy when it's full.

I find it truly unacceptable that the waitress (an Asian woman) practically pressures you to tip at your table. We were actively informed several times that the tip wasn't included and thus encouraged to give her a tip. This kind of behavior leaves a very bad taste in your mouth.

The BLOCK HOUSE Nuremberg is a typical steakhouse. It offers a selection of excellent steaks, as well as burgers and vegetarian dishes. There's also a children's menu. The service was friendly, the food arrived quickly, and it was delicious. The only negative point was the parking situation. The BLOCK HOUSE doesn't have its own parking lot, and there were numerous road closures in the surrounding streets, so we spent quite a while looking for a parking space and had to park some distance from the restaurant.

That was delicious! My husband had a steak, tender as butter and grilled to perfection, and I had the same turkey steak, which was absolutely juicy. Delicious side dishes, good service 👍🏼 It's busy and accordingly noisy. Therefore, one point less for the ambience. Better to make a reservation!

I've been to Block House several times now. Why do I like going there so much? Quite simply: It's a fast-food steakhouse where you can still rely on consistently high quality. My steak always looks exactly the same as the last time – perfectly cooked, juicy, and delicious. The price is also right: great value for money, you get really full, and all without long waits. I particularly like the ambiance – for me, Block House has become a little oasis of well-being. I know exactly what I'm getting – and it's consistently of a high standard. A clear 5 stars from me – I'd happily go back again!

That restaurant has for 80% just tourists visiting which doesnt know better. Service is good. The food is a joke for itself and overpriced. You can order a "cheese" burger and need to order the second bun which is just garlic bread. The food like the fresh salads are convinience products which block house doesnt even deny. The salad is just the ingredients from the self service just overpriced. Kind of sad that they got the spot there, there are plenty of burger/grills in nuremberg which are much better and not serving convinience.

Today we were disappointed for the third time. The portions have become noticeably smaller. The quality of the fillet meat has deteriorated considerably. Unfortunately, Nuremberg is not able to cook the meat perfectly. Medium is either well done or medium rare. Today our expensive steak was butterfly cut. It was dry and tasted awful. It's a shame what has become of Blick House. We were Block House fans and have been to every Block House, but Nuremberg is simply disappointing. The service has also deteriorated. Over-motivated waitresses who seem pushy because of the sales pressure. A real shame. The best Block House is in Santa Ponca. You should check it out.

As always at Block House, the food was great, but the service here was exceptionally friendly and attentive! They spoke very kind words to our Dalmatian and even gave him a little pat.

After a way overpriced and unfortunately overcooked steak the waiter all but demanded a tip as well. Avoid this place like the plague!

Our first meal in Nuremberg was at Block House, stumbled upon while the boys were craving meat. They ordered the Hereford ribeye and mushroom steak , juicy and tender. The fresh salad, garlic bread, and baked potato with sour cream rounded out the meal perfectly. Our server, Steffi, was attentive and thoughtful. Noticing I wasn’t feeling well, she recommended the hearty Bull Soup, which was spot on. The boys ended with apple strudel and ice cream which was great. Highly recommended for good food and warm service.

Excellent service in general, but also in particular (thanks to Maria!). Never pushy, but you never had to wait long for anything. The food was perfect, steak medium-rare, with perfect grilled flavors. We had a very nice evening!

I ask for medium, the steak is obviously overcooked. And it tastes bitter at the surface, like the pot was not cleaned properly. The service from the waiter is ok, but the lady who checked us out(probably the head waiter) ask for 15% tipps for this horrible food. I admire the confidence

We were there very spontaneously, but we were also curious to see how the food would taste, as Block House also offers frozen items. We were pleasantly surprised and have only good things to say. The meat was very tasty and well-cooked to the desired degree. It was also still very juicy and delicious. The service staff were there immediately when we needed anything and were able to help quickly. Very good and definitely worth a visit.

First, the positive: The service colleagues were very friendly, helpful, and constantly concerned about the well-being of the guests!!!! The ambiance was perfect... Now, the food... The sirloin steak was ordered medium-well, was perfectly cooked on one side and completely dry and cooked on the other. I had the fillet medallions with fresh seasonal vegetables and potato gratin. The meat was perfect and tasted absolutely fantastic. Unfortunately, I had a seat overlooking the kitchen and had to watch the "fresh seasonal vegetables" being tipped out of the foil bag onto my plate. The potato gratin was also heated in a plastic tray and was nothing like a gratin. A real shame for the price of €25...😢😢😢

Today at lunchtime (around 3:30 p.m.) my wife and I were unexpectedly treated very badly by a waiter of southern European descent with a full black beard. His behavior was so bad I felt like I was at a cheap bazaar somewhere in Morocco!!! Completely disrespectful and intrusive!!! He was extremely rude, disrespectful and we even felt threatened by him!!! My wife turned to the other waitress and asked to change seats... and this waitress was completely different to the guy with the full beard, she was very nice, friendly and polite!!! The food was delicious and freshly prepared - as always at Blockhaus - but waiters like this guy with the full beard should leave this workplace - he's giving Nuremberg's BlockHouse a very bad image and reputation!!! We've never experienced anything like it in Frankfurt am Main!!! We go there every week and everything is always OK!!! But Nuremberg's Block House gave us a bad rating!!!

We used to be regular customers. Since around February 2025, the staff has been ignoring new customers, empty glasses, and empty plates. You wait forever for the menu (unfortunately, there isn't much new anyway), then forever to be allowed to order. The food sometimes arrives lukewarm. The order arrives on the table without eye contact or a "Bon appétit." The table is cleared without asking if it's okay. Empty wine glasses are completely ignored. Paying takes forever, and you almost have to be pushy to get your money back. When you confront the waiter about the oversights, you only get blank stares. The perpetually chilled red wine is outrageous. Well, dear Mr. Block, if YOU want to drink red wine like that, that's your fault. Why do we, as customers, have to drink cold red wine at great expense? At least the wine didn't turn sour, judging by the faces some of the staff are making.

It's just Nuremberg and not Hamburg.

You can't complain about the food (lunchtime lunch for €14.90). Good taste and a fair price. BUT You ordered a Coke (according to the menu, 0.3 l for €3.70) and then, without asking, you were given a 0.5 l Coke for €5.60 – the "large" Coke isn't even on the menu. Sorry, but that's unacceptable and reeks of a rip-off! So, unfortunately, only one star. I was really annoyed.

We arrived at 21:10, which is quite late - we know. But please don't seat us if you can't provide proper service. We were pushed to make a decision on our order, and it then arrived at lightning speed. They just dropped the plates for the main course after we took one bite of the starter. One of the servers even held a bowl of mushrooms in front of my partners face until she took it from the server. We didn't feel welcome or comfortable. The food was fine.

You wouldn't necessarily expect that from a steakhouse – all the more pleasant the surprise. Whether with family, as a couple, or with friends – the ambiance is pleasant, the service always attentive and friendly. Absolutely fair value for money. Our conclusion: A really good address in Nuremberg not only for meat lovers, but also for vegetarians. We'd happily go back!

A very cozy and pleasant atmosphere. The staff were very friendly and attentive. We were there for a birthday party, and the entire service staff and a chef came to our table with a large sparkler and sang "Happy Birthday" with us, so the whole restaurant got animated and sang along. It was fantastic. The food was delicious. The prices are expensive, but it's a stake house, so that's to be expected. However, the food was worth it; it was delicious. The children also received a gift (a blockhouse table tennis bat and ball), and they were delighted. I can highly recommend it.
