A nice place. The waiters were very attentive. A meat with the nerves removed would have been better.

We were there yesterday. We ordered 2 ribeye mastercuts, without potatoes, but with 2 pan-fried vegetables, 2 shandy (shandy) beer, 1 passion fruit spritzer, and 1 cola. We got 2 steaks with potatoes, 2 500ml shandy, instead of the 0.33ml shandy/Alsterwasser (shandy) as advertised on the menu, unless I remembered that wrong. The potatoes were removed. Salad and dressing -> first-class taste, various varieties, fresh, very well prepared. 5 stars Pan-fried vegetables also OK 3 stars Garlic bread also OK 2 stars One steak was OK 2 stars The other was cooked medium, rather rare. It was re-cooked. But the steak consisted of many small pieces of meat surrounded by strong tendons, which resembled a shin rather than a prime rib! I had at least 1/4 of the cut, which was anything but a) master cut and b) really ribeye? To make up for the wait, I received bruschetta. The bill was around 92 euros. The Block House in Munich does better. Or El Gaucho, or Little London, or the Steakhouse in Aschheim :) They're simply worlds apart. I was very disappointed with the quality and rarely write negative posts; this might be my second negative post. It's a real shame... maybe it was just a bad turn out for us, and no, we won't be coming back a second time.

There were two of us, we first waited 10 minutes for our menu and then another 30 minutes just for drinks. A starter then quickly combed a salad for our main course and we had to wait 40 minutes for 40 minutes, whereupon we said that we wanted to go and want to pay for starter and our drinks, the waitress still discussed with us that we have not been there for more than an hour. She also did not apologize even though people who came after us were served earlier and had already eaten their food when we got the salad. This is an outrage. Another waiter just walked and gave the appearance of working, looked at us several times but never came to us.

Chaotic is still mild, the reception is very heartless, no comparison to other branches. We had to wait 15 minutes for the drinks, when the food came the steak blue we ordered was not medium medium, when we complained about this she took it away and brought it back well done, then the coleslow garnish was missing and the fries were cold. It's a shame and a new steak was advertised and the old one came back with half of it. In addition, my food was now cold. There was no apology or anything. The bill was paid and we left. Ps: we had to be mocked by the table next door.

Disappointing – not recommended I ordered a steak medium and received an almost raw, bloody piece of meat. There was hardly any response to my complaint - the service was unfriendly and not very helpful. The ambience also left something to be desired: the people sitting next to us were loud and disruptive, without the staff intervening. For the level offered, the prices and effort are definitely not justified. Unfortunately I cannot recommend this store.

German restaurant chain, despite being a steakhouse we wanted something light and I had a salad. Considering that it is located in the main square of Nuremberg the prices are excellent, friendly service, we even met an Italian waiter. Advised.

Not recommended for the price. The steak was mostly tough even though it was ordered medium and mostly tasted bitter. The lava cake and the appetizer salad were great.

For the price, the quality of the food and the portion size were not OK. In addition, the side dishes were cold (potato, garlic bread).

We were welcomed very kindly. An (Italian) waiter explained to us all the dishes and the pairings with each other and with the beer. Excellent soups (the asparagus cream is top) but the meat is superb! Average prices of €45 and there were two of us!

I ordered the New York cheeseburger and it wasn't juicy but dry, no burger sauce, the oven-fresh BLOCK HOUSE bread wasn't delivered, instead of the potato gratin I ordered, fries were delivered. In the end I had baked minced meat with cheese and coleslaw garnish.

Unfortunately not as good as you're used to. But very expensive, I recommend some others in the area for the same price but they were a lot better. As steak lovers, we had a steak every night of the week, testing different restaurants. Unfortunately, this one is at the bottom of the list. I'm sorry, and the friendly staff don't make the food any better. The bread and potatoes, however, were very good. Service etc full stars. The 3 stars for the food were due to the bread and potatoes, otherwise I would give a maximum of 2 stars.

We were guests in Nuremberg today. Compared to Berlin's Theodor Heuss Platz, we were a little disappointed. The steak was medium well rather than medium. The potato peel was too hard and not edible. Too bad. The Mrs rump steak had a thick edge of fat. The salad was okay.

The food itself was super tasty. The goulash soup in particular was a dream and extremely seasoned. However, the coleslaw was unfortunately far too bitter for my taste. The aftertaste was very strange.

A completely successful visit! The service was exceptionally friendly and particularly fond of children. Our daughter received a warm welcome, was immediately given something to paint and was surprised with a loving farewell gift - she was overjoyed! We were at the Block House Nuremberg yesterday and were really impressed! The service was super friendly, quick and totally attentive, you immediately felt like you were in good hands. The food was really tasty, especially the meat: perfectly medium and tasty. The starters were also convincing - the beef tartare was really fresh and highly recommended. Requests for changes to the main course were no problem and were implemented straight away. Overall, an all-round successful visit with great food, great service and a top location. We'd love to come back!

I spontaneously went to BLOCK HOUSE with someone without a reservation, and I have to say that my visit was worth it. We were seated without waiting, the service was impeccable, and the steaks 🥩 were on point. However, the interior could use a fresh coat of paint; it has a lovely retro charm that seems a bit out of time. Nevertheless, everything was clean and hygienic. Always my pleasure.

We reserved a table at 5:30 p.m. We were there in time. We greeted 3 of the waiters in a nice manner. 2 of them didn't feel like being nice, just like us. One of them helped us because we also wanted to symbolically celebrate our birthday 🎂. The last table at the back sent us almost to the kitchen. A very nice, polite woman served us, but unfortunately everything wasn't as good as we had planned you can hardly breathe I ordered a sirloin steak medium, really dry, like baked potatoes as a side dish, I won't be coming back, the rest of the price is not right in the middle of Nuremberg either such a steak house 🤔🤔🤔👍👏🙏🙋‍♂️💛💙🇹🇷🇩🇪

I know the chain from other cities. Unfortunately, the Blockhouse in Nuremberg is less recommended. Unfortunately, my steak wasn't medium as ordered or at least medium rare, but rather not fried at all. The prices for a T-bone steak 45 EUR are simply too expensive for what you get. I would rather go somewhere else to eat steak in the future.

Zunächst möchten wir sagen, dass der erste Besuch wirklich gut war, sowohl was das Essen betrifft, als auch den Service. Leider war das beim zweiten Besuch nicht mehr so, was uns enttäuscht hat, da wir aufgrund der ersten Erfahrung Freunde mitgenommen haben. Es war voll an diesem Abend und der Service schien etwas überfordert. Die Aufnahme der Hauptgänge war noch ok - allerdings waren mein Mann und ich enttäuscht über die Qualität der Steaks... ich hatte zB. Mrs. Rumpsteak und das Fleisch war zäh - obwohl medium gebraten - auch das meines Mannes war nicht besonders gut. Die Beilage (gebratenes Gemüse) war ziemlich geschmacklos. Aber gut... Was wir allerdings wirklich als "no-go" empfunden haben, war, dass uns die Dessertkarte mehr oder weniger vor die Nase geworfen wurde ohne ein Wort, ob wir überhaupt eines möchten. Wir möchten aber die junge Dame, die uns später noch mit Getränken versorgt hat, ausdrücklich von dieser Kritik ausnehmen, denn sie war wirklich aufmerksam. Für die Zukunft werden wir uns überlegen, ob wir diese Lokaliät weiterhin besuchen werden. Schade

Five of us went to the steakhouse and had a great evening. The food was super tasty – the steak was cooked perfectly and the side dishes were also great. The service was very friendly, attentive and quick. Each of us was completely satisfied. Clear recommendation, we would love to come back!

We visited the Block House in Nuremberg on a Saturday evening but unfortunately had a disappointing experience with the service. The restaurant was very noisy, and dish carts kept driving right past our table, which made the atmosphere uneasy. A waitress noticed our overcrowded table and came to clear it - albeit with a metal box in her hand, which didn't seem very professional. After the soup we had to specifically ask for our salad, which was then served at the same time as the steak (€38). The drinks were forgotten several times or only came after asking again, either because they were overlooked by the waiter or didn't even come from the bar to the tray. Overall, the service staff seemed very stressed, which unfortunately passed on to the guests. The food was the usual Block House standard - apart from the steak, which was freshly prepared, most of the dishes were simply warmed up. But there was nothing to complain about in terms of taste. However, you should urgently work on the service.

We were there during the exhibition. Even with full boarding, the staff tries their best. It’s a good idea to indicate on the menu that potatoes and salad are sold with MS. We also ordered an appetizer and it was a lot. Thank you - everything is delicious!

Food was very tasty. From the starter to the dessert. The service is tip top. It just gets pretty loud the later the hour. Normal conversation was no longer possible after 7:30 p.m. It's also a shame that there is no light draft beer, only Pils or wheat.

Service was really excellent. The card is a bit “rigid”. The steak was extremely well cooked. I also liked grilled vegetables. But unfortunately the salmon was nothing... overall the selection for vegetarians (you are sometimes accompanied to the steakhouse) is a bit poor. Others are much more sophisticated. Can you go there?

We dined here on a Sunday afternoon, and it wasn't too crowded. Our server was attentive, and the food was delicious. The main dining area was comfortable with the tables nicely spaced.

We have always been very satisfied for YEARS!! Yesterday the exact opposite was the case. The steaks tasted like they were completely burnt? Wrong spice? The one ordered as a medium came as a shoe sole. The other one was just white with no sign of a grill.. The NEW Teriyaki pepper sauce was unfortunately not to our taste either, opinions certainly vary. Unfortunately our guests were also very disappointed... What a shame...

The environment was nice. My advice is to ask for your meat to be well done.

Für ein Block House einfach nur schlecht. Ich hatte vier mal eine alte Kartoffel, der Koch muß es doch merken. Die Steaks die wir hatten waren auch nicht so gegrillt wie es sein sollte. Malzbierflaschen voller staub. Restaurantleiter hat kein Interesse gezeigt. Von der Kellnerin die sehr nett war gab es ein Nachtisch und einen Kaffee für drei Personen Gratis. Die Restaurants in Düsseldorf, Frankfurt und HH sind einfach viel besser. Es waren zwei Tische dienstags gegen 14 Uhr besetzt, das wir schon einen Grund haben. Aber Herr Block wir bleiben Ihnen treu !

Every city I go to in Germany, I check to see if there is a Block House. It always achieves the same quality in the city. It overlooks a beautiful square in Nuremberg. You can also hang around before or after your meal. Their meat is very nice. I especially love the rib-eye mastercut. I prefer medium well. But I also recommend Rumpsteak. Salads and side accompaniments in meat menus are also very delicious. We preferred Cabernet Sauvignon, which they recommended to accompany meat on the menu. It was beautiful. Unfortunately, I forget to take pictures when I'm so hungry 🤣 the best thing is to go if you happen to be 👍 Make sure to make a reservation before you go. Depending on the season and city, it may be very difficult to find a place or you may have to wait a long time.

Visited the Block House with my wife for the first time today. I reserved a table online, which worked out perfectly. We were greeted in a friendly manner at reception and shown to our table. Menus were brought straight away so we were able to place our orders very quickly. We didn't have to wait long for the drinks and food. The food was excellent and the quantity was just right. I have rarely eaten such delicious and tasty meat. Our conditions were very polite and non-intrusive. We were very satisfied and will definitely come back.

I visited the restaurant with my group on 28/1. The blonde lady at the reception where she also served us asked if we had made a reservation and after we told her no she told us that we could only sit for 1.30 hours, after I asked her if we would have time to eat and how long it would take for her to bring us the food, she turned her back on us, raised her hands up and said something to her colleagues at the bar. This lady is extremely rude and it is a shame that this restaurant has such a person. Fortunately another polite girl came and told us not to pay attention and that she was just stressed justifying her inappropriate behavior. But she had already spoiled our mood. The place is very busy and the food is good.

The food at Block House was delicious, the prices are reasonable, the quality is good and the ambience is cozy too. Afterwards there was a walk through the old town and along the Pegnitz. 😉

Nice steakhouse with nice staff and a pleasant atmosphere. I had carpacio first and as a main course a tenderloin steak with salad, baked potato and garlic baguette. It was all very tasty and the steak was cooked exactly as desired. Experience has shown that the sour cream on the baked potato is never enough. Here, without any request or inquiry from me, the service simply gave us an additional bowl of sour cream, which was placed on the table while we ate. That's what I call really good service.

Steak was good, stuffed potatoes were tasteless. Restaurant very elegant and people very nice. Recommend.

We were with friends in December and unfortunately I wasn't very impressed with the food. I ordered beef fillet with potato gratin and vegetables, unfortunately I only had 2 small pieces of beef fillet, which I found really lean... the gartin was also a small portion... I could have saved myself that. The service was great and very nice, nothing to complain about. Unfortunately, my friends weren't convinced either... We were on one of the holiday days. The restaurant was very busy. We sat several times in the branch there in Vienna and enjoyed it very much. A little less here, maybe because of the load. After onion soup in Strasbourg it is hard to say that the onion soup was good. The meat was delicious. Totally recommended.

Good natural food, and they make everything gluten-free!! Also delighted with the blonde waitress, she treated us very well.

The place is really nice, the food is great. Unfortunately, already at the reception the service did not appear to be one of the best, the one who I believe was the manager first pretended not to see the people waiting, then turned back in a very rude manner. Once seated at the table this thing it was confirmed, our waiter Maurizio was very rude and almost seemed to be bothered by serving us.

The service is really great. The shop itself looks like something out of time. The fact that there is a Mr and a Mrs steak in different sizes has actually not been okay since 1990. The selection itself is okay, but I miss both special cuts and different countries of origin. Everything would be regional and therefore great.

The ambience is just like you would expect from a chain. The staff is super fast and friendly. The food was very tasty and the price was absolutely okay.

Even though it was busy and there was a Christmas market, we got a table without making a reservation. Food was great, friendly service. The only drawback for my companion was the toilet. Disabled and the toilet is in the basement without an elevator.

The best quality-price restaurant I have tried on my entire trip in Germany. Extremely delicious food. Low prices, much lower than other restaurants around. I totally recommend it if you are a tourist and want something delicious and without guessing that it will arrive at your table like in local restaurants. I found out that it is a chain, from now on every time I see one of these restaurants, I will go in. Thank you!

Good location to explore and come to a good solomillo in an agradable atmosphere and the amability of the employees. Good place to rest and eat a good sirloin in a pleasant atmosphere and the friendliness of its employees.

On Thursday, December 6, I wanted to eat here, alone. I waited until 8:00 PM and first checked whether there were any empty tables, there were. But I was refused entry, singles are not welcome here.

I was there with 5 people and everyone enjoyed the food perfectly. But there were a few errors on the bill. These came about because there were a few communication complications between guests and service. I understand that at Christmas time it is much more stressful for the wait staff and the entire restaurant, but such complications could be solved with simple communication. This was resolved in the end because the waitress responded very well to our advice and would have actually refunded us the entire price. So kudos to the waitress for reacting so nicely, I'm sure not everyone would have done that.

The staff here is really super good! From service to counter. I simply give the ambience 5 stars at Christmas time. Not overdone and really nice even though we sat at the counter. The food gets four stars. It's well made, but medium is more like medium well, unfortunately the carpaccio only tasted like the pesto. The quality of your meat is very good, put the pesto in a separate bowl, then each guest can decide for themselves whether they only want to taste pesto or something else. And the lava cake was not good. Especially not the sauce with it. I don't know what you diluted it with, but it wasn't to my taste. That can happen, but then again give the guest the choice. A small gravy with chocolate or vanilla sauce. You could certainly get higher quality from the staff and, above all, more than 7 dishes. Your selection is really small.

We went to dinner today with 4 people and 2 small dogs. Everything was just perfect, the service ambience and above all the food was excellent. We'd love to come back.

Food was ok - nothing special... but unfortunately the service and ambience were very bad. The lady who served us was super unsympathetic and incredibly stressed. She asked us 4 times during the meal if everything was okay... once would have been enough. Unfortunately, I wasn't allowed to order a starter and a main course at the same time. She only asked me if the starter should come first when I said I would like to have both together. She said they didn't do that because the tables were too small ?! Unfortunately, we cannot confirm this - if my wish had been taken to heart, everything would have easily fit on the table at the same time. In general she was very hectic and stressed... which meant eating there wasn't a pleasant memory for us. It was also so packed that you almost had to shout at the partner across the table; so that we understand each other... it's a shame for the price we paid for the food.

Absolutamente gran personal - no esperó mucho tiempo para el vino o la comida - y estaban ocupados. Steak estaba perfectamente preparado - gracias por hacer nuestra primera noche especial.

I realize that December is a busy month but the performance at this location was below all expectations. We were seated three times (with a handicapped person) and asked to get up and move three times. The waitress arrived with a bottle of wine and offered me to taste the first glass. Before I could raise my glass she poured the remaining guests a full glass. Why bother to taste it? All our steaks were raw and the offer was made that they could go back on the grill but by then we had enough. Overall we felt rushed with bad service and mediocre food.

It's not like it used to be. It's a shame for the famous Blockhouse on the main market. The last 3 times there were disappointing, very disappointing as the famous Blockhouse on the main market is declining with its image. The last time 3 weeks ago clearly proved it for me and I have decided not to go back. OK for tourists, but not for locals. Quality and service have deteriorated a lot. The ambience is no longer good due to disappointment. I really waited 2 years until the steakhouse recovered from the Corona period to even give a review. I only left the 3 stars because I've been eating steak there since I was a teenager. It's a real shame how such a famous steakhouse can be run down. Maybe this is also due to a lack of skilled workers in the catering industry, but that is no excuse in the catering industry. This is really a tip for the management, maybe I'll try you again in a year. ⭐️⭐️⭐️ with 3 stars you can still survive.

It is useful to make a reservation, especially if you are going after 17:00. We ordered Hereford Ribeye as our main course. It is served with Italian or American style salad, garlic bread and creamy potatoes. We tried Goulash soup as soup. We were very pleased with everything we ate, I definitely recommend it.

Restaurante super bem localizado e funciona o dia inteiro, aliás estando sempre cheio! O atendimento é muito atencioso, mas pode demorar um pouco, justamente pelo fato de o restaurante estar sempre lotado! Eu pedi uma entrada, de burrata, que consta como nova no cardápio, mas não estava disponível, então fui direto ao prato principal: filé mignon que vem acompanhado de uma salada saborosa, uma fatia de pão e uma batata assada com um molho branco por cima! Como acompanhamento, pedi um creme de cogumelos! Tudo super saboroso, mas achei a carne um pouco pequena!

The food was excellent at a very good price. The steak was super tender and deeply flavorful. All of the salad ingredients were fresh and tasty. The server was attentive and professional.

They accepted it even with a full landing. True, they said that 1.5 hours is possible. But the drinks arrived quickly. We had a delicious dinner. Everyone had a pleasant time at the tables, ate beautiful and juicy steaks and all that. Everything is fresh and decent. I’ll tell you from the receipts that it’s not expensive, a beef steak is around 35€

Unfortunately, the best thing about the Classic Burger was the Tucher Weizen. The meat was well seasoned, but unfortunately fried to death... Otherwise, the food unfortunately has nothing to do with an original burger.
