Good portions for reasonable prices.

The food quality is something I haven't had in a long time. The food arrived quickly, the waitress came by a few times and was friendly, without being intrusive, asking if everything was okay and if I'd like anything else to eat. Absolutely excellent value for money! I would definitely go to this restaurant again if I'm in the area again!

We happened upon the Eisenpfanne yesterday while passing through Kiel on our way to Grömitz. My wife and I regularly eat out and were absolutely thrilled. The atmosphere was wonderful and tastefully decorated. Everyone was friendly and the restrooms were very clean. The food was amazing and the prices very fair. The highlight, however, was the young, long-haired waitress with the knee brace. Very friendly, attentive without being pushy. We've never been so keen on tipping. We will eat here regularly, despite the 50km drive. Thanks to the entire team, including the kitchen, for the delicious food.

Definitely try it out, everything is great

Sat outside and had to run behind the waitress inside. Food Pizza had plenty of toppings, but not tasty.

We were actually looking forward to the visit. We were assigned a table when we entered the restaurant. Then the hospitality was over. Although the restaurant was not crowded, we were ignored. People walked past us. But an order was not taken. After 20 minutes we left. Fortunately, there are alternatives. It's a shame... wasted time.

The service was friendly, attentive and very helpful. She even gave us a sharper knife for the asparagus pizza. The menu has something for every taste. We would love to come back!😃👍🏻

I can't recommend the place. After our order we waited for our drinks after two tables that arrived about 15 minutes after us had their drinks. I asked. About 10 minutes later we got our drinks. Then we woke up and were asked several times at the tables next to us whether everything was OK, but not with us. Very unfriendly service, we will never come back.

A must if you are in Plön and want good, plentiful food

We spontaneously ate here today and were thrilled. We got a table straight away even though it was relatively full. Service was friendly and attentive 👍 and the food we ordered came quickly and was very tasty. We would definitely come back.

Yesterday, Wednesday, my wife and I spontaneously decided to have dinner at the EISENPFANNE because we were invited by friends about 4 weeks ago and were impressed by the variety of Mediterranean dishes: Italian, Spanish, Greek and of course German. Quality, taste and quantity allowed us to enjoy cultivated hospitality... When I chose my Greek dish, I overlooked the fact that it didn't contain any gyros. The very attentive waitress suddenly asked me if I wanted one. After a short while, she brought a generous amount on an extra plate for free! That's what I call HOSPITALITY! The price level is appropriate in terms of the service provided and my DISH was €2 below the prices of Greek restaurants in Malente/Eutin. This with better quality and appearance as well very friendly and attentive service! The speed of ordering/serving drinks and dishes is also remarkable. We left the restaurant satisfied and as impressed as our first visit. Last, not least: With Doggybag Gyros, which was too good to throw away... As a midnight snack, a nice reminder of a successful evening at the EISENPFANNE! Gladly again soon, because such companies will survive in difficult times. Great service and the food was a delight.

Was on April 5th. Eating in the restaurant: the food was good (quantity and taste), the service was very good and courteous, the atmosphere was pleasant - I'd be happy to come back when I'm there again.

I think it would be perfect for my colleagues and me. Tim thought it was great too, but he's just Tim.

I visited a restaurant that offers Greek, Italian and Balkan cuisine. Unfortunately my experience was not satisfactory. I had ordered flatbread but received pizza instead, which I found disastrous. When I was asked if everything was okay, I expressed my criticism. Unfortunately, my feedback was answered with an arrogant and stubborn attitude. For this reason I will unfortunately not visit the restaurant again.

Unfortunately the food didn't taste that good for the price, but the service was very good.

It was ok. However, €20 is very steep for the curry pan. My tip would simply be two cheese puffs.

Very nice rustic atmosphere, the service was quick and good. The pizza is a cross between classic thin Italian and American thick pizza. The tomato sauce is very simple and definitely not sour, very good. Which are simple and unobtrusive in taste. Cheese inconspicuous. What really stands out is the spice on the pizza, it's more like Italian herbs but spicy. It is advisable to make a reservation as it quickly fills up around 5 p.m.

The meal was excellent. The portions are large. The price for it is ok.....always happy...

Wow, this restaurant is busy. We were lucky even though we hadn't made a reservation. And we arrived around 5:30 PM and there was almost no room left. Very friendly and smooth service. The food was really tasty. Highly recommended.

We always enjoy the "Eisenpfanne" restaurant and like to stop there whenever we visit Plön. Located in the pedestrian zone, the restaurant offers indoor seating both downstairs and on an upper level, as well as outside in the entrance area and along the side of the building when the weather is nice during the season. We ordered two grilled dishes, Olymp and Delfi, and were very pleased with the generous and quickly served dishes. The service team is friendly and professional, so everything went to our satisfaction. We look forward to being guests at the Eisenpfanne again on our next visit.

A reservation is best. At least on Sunday evening almost everything was reserved. But only almost and we got a table. The food was great, both in terms of quality and taste. Well fed, we have fond memories of the restaurant. See you next time.

Restaurant whose staff can't be beaten in terms of arrogance and disinterest. On the occasion of an 80th birthday we booked a table for 6:30 p.m. Due to the journey from Denmark and the unexpected traffic jam on the motorway including the construction site in Kiel, we only arrived at 6:36 p.m. At this point our table was already taken. Although two tables were free, we were not offered a table. When we asked, the staff just shrugged and rolled their eyes. The restaurant world doesn’t need a store like this.

The selection of ready-made sauces is quite large. Frozen cevapcici are also available. Ready-made pizza dough is also served. So if you don't feel like making your own finished products at home, you could be happy there.

Unfortunately I didn't find it tasty and rather overpriced. Fried potatoes, chicken liver, butter vegetables, hollandaise, side salad. The good thing first: the reservation went well, the chicken liver itself was great and the service was very nice. The espresso at the end was also good. The portion was so large that if you were a seasoned lumberjack you would have had trouble finishing it straight after work. Unfortunately, the fried potatoes turned out to be more like potatoes dipped in fat than fried potatoes, some of which stuck together so much that they resulted in half potatoes rather than slices. And it was just potatoes (without onions or bacon and hardly any frying) the vegetables were somehow mixed with the liver and looked overcooked, was hard and not tasty. Everything on the plate was heated in fat. To this day it has proven to be unbearable for me. Then I personally find the combination with hollandaise very strange. Why is it not possible to make a proper sauce with the liver? The fresh salad was ok, the dressing was a bit bland. Everything without a whistle wouldn't have been so bad if it had come to me. After the first third I had absolutely had enough. The liver pieces themselves were tasty and tender. Maybe the chef had a bad day, couldn't keep up with the order quantity, wasn't able to restock the kitchen enough, or was substituted. In terms of taste, it didn't come close to my worse canteen experiences, but it surpassed them in terms of unpleasantness. I'll refrain from repeating it for now. Unfortunately, the rooms didn't smell like delicious food, but rather like kitchen grease. I would have liked better ventilation here. There are certainly effective, affordable, energy-efficient solutions that would also be compatible with monument protection. Unfortunately, this beautiful, rustic old house is not ideal for restaurants or is not barrier-free at all. The toilets are on the upper floor under sloping ceilings and you should still be able to walk to each other. But everything is clean and in good condition. The staff was very nice and accommodating to us.

The food is simply good, everything tastes good. There's something for everyone.

Das Restaurant war voll, es war so laut, dass man eine Unterhaltung nicht möglich war, nicht geheizt und Dauerzug durch die Eingangstür, überfordertes Personal und das schlimmste war das Essen. 20 € für eine Portion Bratkartoffeln, ein Schälchen Sauce hollandaise a la Knorr Tetrapack und 5 Ftzelchen Geflügelleber, die man unter einem Berg TK Gemüse suchen musste. Völlig unzureichend, überteuert und in der Karte falsch ausgewiesen. Nie wieder.

Basically a very nice restaurant...and also recommended.

The lasagne was with ham, which I found unusual, and unfortunately a children's portion of it was not possible. From there everything was okay, the gyro plate was a large portion, all the dishes (Delphi plate, lasagne, children's portion of spaghetti Bolognese) were not outstanding, but completely okay. Friendly service, the children were given something to paint straight away... Overall rating: quite okay. PS: we were surprised that the lasagna wasn't served in an iron pan. 😇

Very friendly and attentive staff. Special requests for orders are addressed immediately, we haven't heard a single NO 👍🏼 The food was consistently very good and fresh for the four of us. Very large portions that justify the increased price. Maybe reduce the portions and therefore the prices? Then as a guest you might also treat yourself to a dessert or cappuccino 😉 Either way, we'll definitely be back!

I've always enjoyed eating here but it gets worse every year and now it's over! The entire meal is all finished goods. The salad dressing was bought ready-made, the potatoes were wobbly, the vegetables were frozen, and the hollondaise sauce was also bought ready-made. Sorry, but I don't have to go to a restaurant, I can just as easily buy it ready-made at home. In the past everything was served beautifully in an iron pan and today the main thing is mass without class on the plate. Then it's better to raise the prices for the dishes!

We were disappointed. The service is very dependent on the person. One waitress was very unfriendly, another was nice and accommodating. Our food was below average. Pasta is not recommended, meat dishes seem to be better. We probably won't come back.

We even went here twice during our short stay in Plön. The menu offers something for every taste. There's even a pizza day and a pasta day with good deals. You can taste both regional cuisine and international dishes. The service was very friendly and quick.

The ambience is very nice but a bit cramped. The staff was friendly but a bit cozy. The food ranged from very good to satisfactory. But all in all we had a very nice evening.

Wir waren hier schon öfter zum Essen (vegetarisch) in den letzten Jahren. Es ist nicht berauschend gut, aber essbar. Der Service war immer freundlich. Im Sommer allerdings ist es Massenabfertigung, was sich auch am Essen negativ bemerkbar macht. Heute (Ende Oktober) war das Lokal kaum besetzt, im unteren Gastraum gerade mal 4 Tische. Die Bedienung erlaubte uns nicht an einem der seitlichen Tische zu sitzen, da es Vierertische seien. Es waren gerade mal 4 Tische besetzt und bei dem Wetter war auch die Innenstadt wie leergefegt, also kein Ansturm zu erwarten. Die Zweiertische stehen ausschließlich in der Mitte und in einem fast leeren Lokal den Gästen die freie Platzwahl zu verwehren ist nicht nur unhöflich sondern dumm. Wir waren erst vor 14 Tagen dort und da war es total okay. Wir konnten sitzen wo wir wollten und an einem Vierertisch saß sogar ein einzelner Herr. Alles kein Problem. Die Bedienung heute war so unhöflich, dass es an DDR-Besuche erinnerte, wo die Bedienung einem unfreundlich den Tisch zuwies. Uns werden sie nicht wiedersehen, wir haben uns wortlos umgedreht und sind gegangen. Ein Erlebnis der besonderen Art.

Nicht empfehlenswert Wir hatten schon vermutet hier niemanden zu überfordern und deshalb Pizza bestellt. Der Teig ist so wie von TK Pizzen die Auflage bei meiner Frau frisch bei mir lieblos aufgehäuft mit den eingelegten Peperoni. Bedienung war nett aber nicht wirklich interessiert.

There are international dishes here, all of which taste great. The portions are plentiful! You can come whenever you want - it is usually well attended here. It's also very nice to sit outside (when the weather is nice), either in front of the restaurant, in the evening with the pleasant setting sun, or to the side in the small "medieval" path on larger steps. All in all, highly recommended!

We were there late on a Sunday (best coffee time for others). The restaurant was very well attended. What is interesting is that German, Italian, Greek and Balkan dishes are offered. We had a Greek grill plate and a lasagna. The dishes came quickly and were served attentively. The portions were so big that we (both adults) could only eat half of them each. Well packaged, we took the other halves home with us and had another very tasty meal the next day. The prices are normal, almost cheap for the size of the portions. We will definitely come back.

We've actually always really enjoyed being here. We even drove a few km for it. But the last few times we were very disappointed. We know that everything has become more expensive and less expensive, but unfortunately the service has also become very poor and not just once. The service staff was once again very unfriendly.

How good that we had booked a table in advance. It's Thursday pizza 🍕 day again and the shop was busy. Nevertheless, the order went quickly.

Today was pizza day so we thought why not try it out....... The restaurant is quaint, the service is very friendly and quick. It should be a pizza with spinach and a "Fantasia". Both were almost unseasoned and the dough was reminiscent of cake. It had nothing to do with delicious, fluffy, crispy Italian yeast dough. Unfortunately that was a letdown for us. The other dishes looked attractive and well portioned.

Unfortunately, the restaurant has lost the splendor of years gone by. When I was at school it was still a cult restaurant, but today it seems more like a tourist trap with lackluster service and bland food. One wonders whether the chef even tries what is being served. The pizza was rubbery and tasteless - is the wood oven broken? No trace of crunchiness. The spaghetti carbonara came with cream, which is frowned upon in Italy, but if you're going to do it that way, at least it should be done right. Instead, the noodles were swimming in a watery cream sauce and instead of crispy bacon there was only bland cooked ham. Unfortunately it was a disappointment in terms of taste. You don't go to a restaurant for food like this. What a shame!

We were there for lunch... politely asked if it was ok that we had sat down at a table. It was actually just out of politeness, but we got a very unfriendly answer that there was a sign on the door. We then chose something to eat, rather expensive and got greasy fried potatoes, bland fish, salad with bland dressing, the mustard sauce was good. Overall, no recommendation from us.

The atmosphere was good and really appealed to us! We were accommodated on the upper floor. As we learned, it's hard to get a seat here if you haven't ordered! So the upper floor was ok for us! The service was nice, although it took a while - but the restaurant was full, but that was ok! Maybe I would have had one more beer if it had gone faster! Now about the food: I previously had cheese bread with curry dip! For the main course I had the fillet plate with pork, chicken and beef fillet with fried potatoes and vegetables. My partner had the Greek mixed platter with gyros, pork fillet and sirtaki! The cheese bread was a cheese pizza, but with meaningless tasting cheese! The curry dip tasted absolutely artificial! Overall not tasty! This continued with the fillet plate! All 3 types of meat were very dry and actually all frozen, you can taste it! For me it was barely edible. Very surprising to me based on the reviews! The fried potatoes were ok, as were the vegetables! The hollondaise sauce was a bag of hollondaise, but I liked it very much. Luckily I was able to make the meat tastier! My partner's skewer had pork fillet on it - maybe it should have been the sirtaki! But the individual pork fillet was missing! The gyro was edible, but the consistency was not that of a gyro skewer, it was simply meat cut several times! Finally, I treated myself to a chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream and cream. A small cake with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and 3 huge dollops of cream! But the taste is very good! All in all, I was very surprised - we went there based on the reviews, we were here for a tourist visit! We were very disappointed and have eaten better several times! So if we come here again, we will visit a different location! Maybe it's because they're trying to offer Italian, Greek and German. You should specialize in one thing and increase the quality! Very, very unfortunate!

Ich hab alle möglichen Bewertungen gelesen und kann sagen. Ich bin absolut zufrieden. Für die Preise die ich zahle, bekomme ich einiges und kann was ich nicht schaffe mit nehmen. Das Personal war freundlich und immer da, wenn man was brauchte. Egal was wir hatten, die Qualität war gut. Durch die Erfahrung aus der Küche, kann ich sagen. Nicht alles läuft immer gut und jedes essen kann man misslangen. Das hatte ich hier auch schon, doch ehrlich, sind alles nur Menschen hier. Ich weiß auch nicht wo der laden veraltet ist. Er ist kein klinisch totes Restaurant, sondern ein Laden mit Charm, der sauber und schick ist. Leider habe ich vergessen Bilder zu machen, aber beim nächsten Besuch hole ich es nach.

The store is clean but otherwise not recommended. The prices are quite cheap, but when you get the food you realize that you still paid too much. The pizza tastes like the cheapest ready-made pizza you can get at Aldi (I was assured it was homemade, but if that's true I hope the chef only does it part-time). Bolognese contains so little meat that it can almost be considered vegetarian. It would probably have been better in the cafeteria for a fraction of the money.

Everything is good and tasty, but it also costs a few euros. But good.

Stopped here spontaneously and was lucky. Taking the order for drinks and food took quite some time. Food came almost at the same time as the drinks. You should work on that. We had goulash soup, pizza bread with cheese and garlic dip and a pizza. Pizza wasn't really hot anymore, the rest was fine. I think too many different things on the menu are not good, the quality then decreases.
