A second visit from us is no longer expected. The Olymp grill plate did not meet our expectations at all. The meat also tasted very sour. With a Gorgonzola pizza you could taste some of it in four small areas. The rest was just pizza salami. The only thing that counts when it comes to points is the good Alster water and the two cold soft drinks.

On the menu under the heading Italy, pizza was offered alongside pasta dishes. So I expect a pizza like what is usually offered in pizzerias. But she wasn't like that. What arrived was a well-topped, exactly round pizza with a hard edge. Obviously not a hand-made floor. The impression was that it was a pre-made base or a kind of Pizza Margherita (like Dr. Oetker), which was only "refined" with various toppings.

The staff is friendly, the food was good but not so good that we would go here again on our vacation. Prices are reasonable.

There are international dishes here, all of which taste great. The portions are plentiful! You can come whenever you want - it is usually well attended here. It's also very nice to sit outside (when the weather is nice), either in front of the restaurant, in the evening with the pleasant setting sun, or to the side in the small "medieval" path on larger steps. All in all, highly recommended!

Delicious salami pizza I had the pleasure of trying the pepperoni pizza at this restaurant and I have to say it was simply amazing! The dough was perfectly crispy and airy at the same time, exactly how you want it. The tomato sauce had a wonderfully fruity note and harmonized wonderfully with the mild, spicy taste of the melted cheese. The salami itself was of the best quality: nice and spicy, not too greasy, and distributed on the pizza in just the right amount, so that every bite was a small taste experience. The combination of spicy salami and the slight spiciness of the fresh ingredients made this pizza a real highlight. Overall, one of the best salami pizzas I've had in a long time. I will definitely be back and highly recommend them to any pizza lover!

We were able to stop here relatively spontaneously. You can tell that a little bit is made from all the cuisines here, because that's how it tastes. Not bad but not so bad that you have to go again. Absolute average.

The food is simply great. Big portions I have to say. It was also tasty and arrived quickly. But there wasn't much going on either. Service a bit slow, They came around at the beginning, but when you needed them you had to "keep an eye out" for them. Nevertheless, everyone was very nice and friendly. We can recommend.

Unfortunately I can't judge the food as I didn't get anything to eat. I am very disappointed that you won't find a vegan dish in 2024 - although Spaghetti Aglio e Olio is very simple and quick to make. But there was no exception on the grounds that everyone wants one - an Italian meal that can be made with the simplest ingredients available... Unfortunately, I don't understand why you can't prepare a simple Italian dish for four paying guests. The ambience was nice, the location was very nice. The service, however, was an absolute disappointment. No concessions - it would be so easy.

We ended up here because of good reviews online. The portions offered are quite large, for me “artisan plates”. My wife had a Primitivo wine with our meal, which was probably quite good. Her gyro plate was made of meat that definitely didn't come from a rotisserie. Probably from the pan, with a high fat content. And unfortunately they also tasted like fat. My lumberjack steak was also a bit tough and not particularly appetizing. The main drawback with the plates was that they looked like they had been filled with an excavator. Try cutting a tough piece of meat lying on a pile of fried potatoes. The service was nice and friendly. Conclusion: The kitchen was totally disappointing and the good ratings were inexplicable for me. Unfortunately a failure. For people with disabilities: The toilet is on the 1st floor.

Today, after the 5 Lakes bike tour on a cargo bike without electric drive, but with a child on board, we arrived at the iron pan, exhausted and hungry. The restaurant was so busy that we were given a seat upstairs. The extremely friendly service quickly ensured that the littlest guest was entertained and provided a coloring picture and lots of pens. Our daughter was able to be a little more happy about this and that without anyone giving us the feeling that it was a bother. You can experience it differently elsewhere. The menu also offers a relatively large selection of children's dishes, there are a lot of children's chairs, all in all you just feel welcome here with children 👌🏻 The food from the Greek section was great, full marks. A request for changes to the supplements was no problem. You should try the many non-alcoholic drinks that are currently available in summer outside of the standard drinks menu. The waitress came several times and asked whether everything was okay and the food tasted good and was very friendly and made us feel welcome ☺️ At the end, our daughter was allowed to take two coloring pictures with her and was given a bag of gummy bears. A single point of criticism, which is deliberately placed at the end of the review and may have been due to the full house: We were the first guests to arrive on the upper floor and after us three more tables were occupied by other guests. Our order was the last to be taken and therefore the last to be brought to the table, while the others had long since received their food. It was probably because we sat right at the back against the wall and the waitress worked her way from the front to the back. Everything on the upper floor is very bright, modern and friendly; on the ground floor it seemed a bit dark when I walked through.

Leider überhaupt nicht toll, woher kommen die positiven Bewertungen? Mangelnde Fleischqualitat, leider fettige Gyros, knorpeliges Holzfällersteak. Nichts fürs Auge, eher Touri-Massenabfertigung. Müssen wir nicht wieder hin!

Expensive canteen food with little taste.

We were in the restaurant on August 4th, 2024 and can only say that it is absolutely recommended. The food was very tasty and the portions were absolutely sufficient. I ordered a Giro plate for just €16.60. We will definitely visit again and have already recommended it to others

Very friendly entrance. We were able to sit outside, even though the official opening time was 12 p.m. The menu left nothing to be desired. Whether German, Italian, Greek, etc. cuisine, there were just great dishes, so choosing was very, very difficult. The drinks and food were served incredibly quickly and in a friendly manner - we also noticed this with the other guests. The dishes were lovingly prepared and tasted delicious. Hello first of all, we have been regular customers for 10 years. Unfortunately no one knows us yet, but that's of course because the restaurant is very busy, and rightly so, we only had bad luck once when I think the Giros was warmed up three times, but don't worry about it. What really bothers me is that a slightly larger, strong blonde 👱‍♀️ woman was in a bad mood twice. After I asked for a free table in a friendly manner, especially since a colleague told me please ask at the counter.... Her rather unfriendly answer was ask my colleague etc. I'm thinking about coming back again with my wife. When you're not welcome.

I don’t really understand the great reviews. Ordered a pizza and what we got felt and looked like a small frozen one, also a Bolognese that was mostly a tomato sauce and a huge pile of pasta. Souvlaki was good, and sizes (except pizza) were big. But overall the food didn’t meet our expectations. The service however was very nice.

We always like to visit the Iron Pan and when you know that the Iron Pan has been around since 1976 and that we have lived in the Plön district since 1980, you know that we are loyal visitors, right?

The food was good and plentiful.

Had a grill plate there, among other things. Ordered with gyros. The portion was big enough to fill you up. What was unpleasant, however, was that it wasn't real gyros, but (ready-made) pan gyros from a bag that was served, which doesn't come close to a real gyros dish. If there had been a corresponding note (pan gyros) on the menu, I would definitely have chosen a different dish.

The atmosphere makes a cozy impression and the staff is extremely relaxed and friendly. Unfortunately, the food didn't really convince me.

Potato casserole and homemade lasagna arrived 5 minutes after ordering. A high-speed kitchen eliminates the question of fresh preparation. Unfortunately the taste is not convincing either. Conclusion: Quality and price don't match!

Hello, I was there for lunch with my wife yesterday. The food was very tasty and there was plenty of it, plus there was friendly service. The toilet is at the top and not big, but it is clean and new. I was able to take a few looks at the other food that went to the tables. Everything was super delicious 😋 We'd love to come back 😇

Well, it's nice to eat differently, we ate with several people, the staff was a bit unfriendly, we were welcomed because they were a little late 15 minutes and there was nothing on the tables, nicely prepared decorations ... well we left after eating...

First impression was nice in the narrow street but the rest was Wooden benches were wet Pizza didn't taste good at all, it was a lukewarm, undercooked piece of cake. Gyro plate was sticky, meat had probably been sitting there for a long time and was soaked with fat. For us it was a flop and we can only advise against it.

Kann man nicht empfehlen. Bratkartoffeln sind weit entfernt von dem Begriff, Gemüse aus dem TK. Zazicki aus dem großen Eimer. Wenn man drei Nationen im Repertoire hat, kann das unmöglich gehen. Sehr Schade, da die Lage so schön ist. Da nützt auch keine nette Entschuldigung.

Previously delicious food and friendly service. Now: Had to deduct stars because prices rose disproportionately in 2024. Very borderline. Food quality has become worse, not a good price/performance ratio. Lots of frozen goods, tortellini from the microwave, etc. Service unfriendly or arrogant. The location, right in the pedestrian zone, is of course ideal and there is little competition. I think some tourists fall for this.

Certainly a classic within Plön gastronomy, but not for the more demanding taste. The menu itself is a wild ride through different cuisines, some Greek, a pinch of Balkans, a touch of Italy and then some German. There are better options for those with higher demands, but it's relatively expensive to get enough to fill them up.

Wir hatten den Gemüseauflauf und die Pasta mit Brokkoli. Beides lecker, aber beim Gemüseauflauf war die TK eindeutig zu erkennen und zu erschmecken. Muss ja nicht schlecht sein, aber 5 Punkte gibt's nur bei "frisch". Der Service war perfekt und sehr freundlich.

Versatile menu, there is something for everyone, big or small.

It is very loud in the restaurant. Especially when there are a lot of people present. Daa Food didn't arrive for almost an hour even though we had simple dishes. The service is slow and doesn't even ask if you want another drink. If someone criticizes the food, she turns around, leaves and doesn't even come to the table to pay. It feels like a complete rip-off because the prices are also very high.

Any frozen pizza tastes better than what we were served. It was disgusting.

We (two people) ended up in the restaurant by chance while walking through the old town. It is in a very idyllic location and there are a few tables in a nice street passage between pretty old half-timbered houses. The average positive reviews supported the decision to end the evening here. For us: a clear wrong decision. Unfortunately, the friendly service couldn't make up for the bad food. We decided on pizza and ordered an appetizer together. Our drinks came immediately, the food took a long time to arrive... and then came together. Since the starter was warm, this was a bit inconvenient. The service staff handled it very professionally - but we didn't return the dishes. If the food had been delicious, we would have been happy to ignore the mistake. Unfortunately, both pizzas were extremely poor quality. The pizza dough tasted almost like that of a frozen pizza, the seafood was not deveined and the cheese was plentiful but not good. The starter - a pizza bread with cheese and sour cream - was just as disappointing as the pizzas: dry base, purchased tartar sauce instead of sour cream and no good cheese.
