We arrived and everything was occupied except for one table. There was a washbasin and two empty glasses on the table. We sat down... the waiter came over, scolded us for coming over, took his things away, and left us waiting. After 15 minutes, we left...

The food was okay, but the cheese on the pizza was unfortunately tasteless. The service and atmosphere were very pleasant.

We managed to snag a table there as a family without a reservation. The service was very prompt and friendly. Despite the restaurant being so busy, the wait times were perfectly acceptable. The food (we had fish dishes) was very tasty. The dessert (pancakes and chocolate cake) was also delicious. I highly recommend this restaurant!

We ordered food for pickup. I said pike-perch fillet three times on the phone. What I got was rubbery meat, probably pork. The (fried) potatoes could have been fried. We've rarely had such bad and, what's more, incorrect food. And the poor quality at such a completely exorbitant, far too high price. Unfortunately, the vegetables were no better than frozen. The last time we had pizza, and that was just not good either. I don't understand how this place gets good reviews. We won't spend any money here again.

We spontaneously reserved a table two days in advance – it was relatively full, but still very good. The food was delicious, and even our small game of Yahtzee was no problem.

Unfortunately, we can't understand the positive reviews. Pizza made from frozen dough and not baked long enough, pollock fillet served with curry sauce instead of tartar sauce?!... Fried potatoes reheated and refried several times, salad from a packet (poorly made) with ready-made dressing. Unfortunately, we do this much better at home and aren't trained chefs. The prices aren't appropriate either. Service was okay and friendly, but not outstanding. All in all, it was pretty quick, but that was it. It's a shame, we won't be coming back.

I've eaten here twice. The first time, I had a pizza that was never homemade, but had the look, consistency, and taste of a frozen pizza. Despite extra salt and pepper, I couldn't detect any of the toppings' own flavor. If it was homemade, as a cook, I would question the quality of my food. The service on the first day was good, with a commendable organic summer special drink and a charming seat in the alley at the side of the restaurant. On the second day, I only wanted a salad and was initially greeted rather unfriendly. Yes, they had different dressings, it said. I ordered oil and vinegar, but it wasn't a dressing, just a bottle of each. I wasn't expecting that, but okay. There were two fruit flies swimming in the vinegar, so I asked for a new bottle and a small bowl in which I could mix the two together myself. Instead of an apology, I received an incredulous look, silence, and, when I asked, a rude "Yes, but I have to get it from inside." The salad was simple but fresh, the summer drink was still delicious, and the waitress tried to be friendlier until the end. Conclusion: If you're looking for good service and good-quality food, you shouldn't go here. If you want a nice place to sit, are happy with convenience food, and are looking for a wide selection (which is never a good sign), you'll be happy here.

If I could, I'd give it negative stars. When I walked into the restaurant and saw several free tables without reservation signs and sat down, I was chased away and yelled at for not having a seat there. I then left the restaurant. In summary, the service was terrible.

Unfortunately, the "Filletteller Eisenpfanne" (Iron Pan Fillet) we ordered wasn't served in an iron pan, and it was only served lukewarm. The server (Steffi, according to the receipt) uttered the phrase "everything's fine with you" to us, but didn't really wait for a response. Therefore, the subsequent review was somewhat more detailed, but without an apology or anything similar. Just the statement that it couldn't be right, or they could have reheated it...

The food was genuinely unspectacular. The pizza was probably out of a frozen pack. The portions of the other food was large though and filling

We visit Plön several times a year and visit the Eisenpfanne. Before the change of ownership, we loved the pizza calzone. Now it feels like you're chewing on rubber. Too much "cheese" on the calzone and in the calzone. Although I doubt it's cheese, more likely artificial cheese. My table neighbor tried the pasta bake, and it had the same cheese, but thinner. It's edible. The Greek dishes are good. Arguing with the waiter about the calzone was pointless; "When ordering, they said less cheese." After three attempts over several months/years, it hasn't improved. So we'll look for an alternative.

A truly fantastic restaurant with a wide variety of consistently delicious dishes. They offer pizza, Greek dishes, and much more – all always plentiful and very tasty. Pleasant atmosphere and very qualified, attentive, and friendly staff. Highly recommended! You may want to make a reservation at dusk.

We sat in a side street because we wanted to sit outside in the nice weather, rather than on the front row. It was quite cramped for those with a bit of a squatter stomach. The food was okay, but unfortunately, they couldn't omit an ingredient due to an intolerance, saying it was already prepared...a shame.

High prices for frozen goods. I'd prefer nearby snack bars. They cost half as much and are better. If there were more competition, this restaurant would no longer exist. Add to that the unfriendly and unpleasant service. The ambiance is okay.

The 2 of us got pasta with gorgonzola which was excellent, while the one of us who ordered pizza was disappointed, the fourth person got lasagna, and it was also really good.

I still go there every now and then; it's kind of a cult favorite for me in Plön.

We went there for lunch. The food was excellent; my chicken strips with baked potatoes were very tender. I really enjoyed my meal. My friend had a broccoli pizza. It was covered in crisp, fresh broccoli. She also enjoyed it very much. The food was brought by the chef, who was very nice. It was a nice seat in the pedestrian zone and had a good view. The service was... oops, I'm lost for words.

The Eisenpfanne restaurant offers an extensive menu with many dishes from different nationalities, from Germany with regional fish specialties to the Balkans, Italy, and Greece. I had an excellent pizza gyro, which is truly excellent and highly recommended. The gyro was so tender and juicy that it was an absolute delight. Definitely 10 out of 10 stars... The service was good, and the waiters were very friendly and attentive without being intrusive. The wait was very short despite the restaurant being full. After a spontaneous trip to Plön, we stopped by the Eisenpfanne (iron pan). The seating, especially in the small alleyway, is very cozy. The service was friendly, but they were probably understaffed for the size of the restaurant; the wait even for drinks was unusually long. Unfortunately, the pizzas were of very poor quality. The toppings were tasty, but not particularly well seasoned, and the cheese was rather bland. Above all, the pizza base was dry and tasted like a cheap frozen pizza with fresh toppings. A restaurant with potential, if they reduced the selection on the menu and focused on quality rather than quantity.

The iron pan serves excellent food. Many specialties from various countries. My daughter's pasta barely came out, but my steak was cooked to perfection. The terrace is a bit cramped, but it's absolutely quiet in the pedestrian zone. The ambiance is very nice. If I'm ever in Plön again, this would be my first choice.

I had reserved a table for 6.30pm on Thursday 3rd July. I ordered a fillet plate for just under €30 and my companion a pollock plate for around €22. We had onion soup for starters. The quality of the food has declined considerably; I have no idea if there is a new chef or what. A few years ago the food there was world class. So where do I begin? The beef on my fillet plate was very tough; it had nothing to do with fillet, it was more like badly aged rump. The vegetables were 100% frozen; you could tell the carrots, for example, were cut in a wavy pattern; you could also taste that they weren't fresh vegetables. The salads that were served as side dishes taste better in every snack bar; only iceberg lettuce, romaine lettuce, etc. with bad ready-made dressing, not even a small tomato or whatever. Not at all contemporary. My girlfriend's pollock was dry. The food was presented in a prison setting or from the 70s. The onion soup was also rather bland and probably didn't have a stock but rather a powdered soup. I wanted to tell the waitress, but unfortunately, that would have made my girlfriend very uncomfortable, and she asked me not to, so I said the food was just okay. It's a real shame that they've turned such a delicious restaurant into such a convenience store. Very, very disappointed, and of course, I wouldn't recommend it to any of our guests. I've been to the Eisenpfanne twice. A small restaurant with a variety of dishes. Very clean and great restrooms.👍👍👍👍👍 Everyone has to judge the food for themselves. I had the fillet platter once. Chicken breast, pork fillet, beef fillet with fried potatoes, vegetables, and a salad plate. The fried potatoes, beef fillet, vegetables, and salad were very good. I imagine something else when I think of chicken breast and pork fillet. Both were too thin for me. More like a schnitzel than a fillet.👍👍👍 The second time, I treated myself to the fish platter. Redfish, pike-perch, and pollock with fried potatoes and salad.👍👍👍👍👍 A definite recommendation. The dark beer... Delicious. The price-performance ratio is just about OK. When I'm back in Plön... I'll be back at the iron pan. A little tip... serve the dishes in a small pan. Then the price is 100% right.

Nice restaurant with a unique menu (Italian/Greek/German). The food was good. We had pizza; the crust was probably frozen, but the toppings made up for it. Our friends' food was also good. Those looking for classic Italian or Greek food might be a bit disappointed. The service was attentive and very friendly. Overall, a nice evening. We came back after five years - nothing has changed. The menu is still huge - the quality and taste are okay.

We were in the shop at lunchtime. The service was completely unfriendly. I ordered a Greek platter with gyros, sovlaki, and bifteki; my friend ordered medallions with spinach and hollandaise. Both arrived after 3 minutes, which should really be all there is to it... Gyros heated in the pan. Bifteki was completely black. Sovlaki was shoe sole...all on a plate with canned Duvjece rice and coleslaw. I had to watch as the chef patted the plate clean with a rag after filling it. My friend's food went into the microwave shortly beforehand...also heated up twice. I still feel sick this evening.

Good portions for reasonable prices.

We happened upon the Eisenpfanne yesterday while passing through Kiel on our way to Grömitz. My wife and I regularly eat out and were absolutely thrilled. The atmosphere was wonderful and tastefully decorated. Everyone was friendly and the restrooms were very clean. The food was amazing and the prices very fair. The highlight, however, was the young, long-haired waitress with the knee brace. Very friendly, attentive without being pushy. We've never been so keen on tipping. We will eat here regularly, despite the 50km drive. Thanks to the entire team, including the kitchen, for the delicious food.

The food quality is something I haven't had in a long time. The food arrived quickly, the waitress came by a few times and was friendly, without being intrusive, asking if everything was okay and if I'd like anything else to eat. Absolutely excellent value for money! I would definitely go to this restaurant again if I'm in the area again!

I can't recommend the place. After our order we waited for our drinks after two tables that arrived about 15 minutes after us had their drinks. I asked. About 10 minutes later we got our drinks. Then we woke up and were asked several times at the tables next to us whether everything was OK, but not with us. Very unfriendly service, we will never come back.

Yesterday, Wednesday, my wife and I spontaneously decided to have dinner at the EISENPFANNE because we were invited by friends about 4 weeks ago and were impressed by the variety of Mediterranean dishes: Italian, Spanish, Greek and of course German. Quality, taste and quantity allowed us to enjoy cultivated hospitality... When I chose my Greek dish, I overlooked the fact that it didn't contain any gyros. The very attentive waitress suddenly asked me if I wanted one. After a short while, she brought a generous amount on an extra plate for free! That's what I call HOSPITALITY! The price level is appropriate in terms of the service provided and my DISH was €2 below the prices of Greek restaurants in Malente/Eutin. This with better quality and appearance as well very friendly and attentive service! The speed of ordering/serving drinks and dishes is also remarkable. We left the restaurant satisfied and as impressed as our first visit. Last, not least: With Doggybag Gyros, which was too good to throw away... As a midnight snack, a nice reminder of a successful evening at the EISENPFANNE! Gladly again soon, because such companies will survive in difficult times. Was on April 5th. Eating in the restaurant: the food was good (quantity and taste), the service was very good and courteous, the atmosphere was pleasant - I'd be happy to come back when I'm there again.

Unfortunately the food didn't taste that good for the price, but the service was very good.

It was ok. However, €20 is very steep for the curry pan. My tip would simply be two cheese puffs.
