Restaurant und Café Prinzeninsel in Plön

Wir haben hier unsere Hochzeit gefeiert und wurden schwer enttäuscht. Das Vorgespräch mit dem Geschäftsführer und dem Koch war sehr professionell und versprach uns einen wunderbaren Tag. Am Tag der Hochzeit hat uns die Realität die Hand geschüttelt und wir wurden vom Essen sowie vom Service schwer enttäuscht. Auf Nachfrage wie es zu diesem unorganisierten Service kam, haben wir von Frau Muhmann und der Geschäftsführung bis heute keine Antwort erhalten. Die stolze Rechnung haben Sie aber prompt verschickt...Nicht zu empfehlen.

War ganz nett nach einer Wanderung dorthin,für 2 Stück Kuchen und 2 Kaffee aber gleich 20,-€,passiert uns nicht wieder.

We stopped here spontaneously on our hike. It is very comfortably furnished inside and there is plenty of space outside. We ordered something to drink and two desserts. The “Colorful Children’s Cup” for me and the “Piña Colada with a difference” for my wife. Both were excellent and special requests were implemented without any problems. Due to company, we had to wait longer (>30 minutes) for our ice cream, but we were offered two free drinks in conjunction with an apology. Very accommodating. Thanks again for that. You shouldn't attach any importance to the chaotic sounding noises from the kitchen (which rather amused us), as all the dishes that were carried past us looked very appealing. The team also makes a very friendly impression. If we end up in this corner again, we would be happy to come by again.

Ja, die Prinzeninsel - nicht weit, einmal quer durch den Park, vom Plöner Schloss entfernt. Letzteres ist jetzt übrigens die Fielmann Akademie. Aber egal - auf zur Insel. Letztere ist erst durch das absenken des Wasserspeigels entstanden. Zuvor handelte es sich um eine Halbinsel. Auch heute noch ist die Insel recht langgezogen, neben einer Badestelle mit DLRG Posten findet sich noch ein Anleger der Weißen Flotte und ein Wirtschaftsgut mit Gastronomie auf der Insel. Insgesamt lohnt ein Spaziergang, z.B. zum Lieblingsplatz der Kaiserin und zurück. Viel mehr hat die Insel dann aber leider auch nicht wirklich zu bieten... ist halt so!

I was a guest at a wedding with around 110 guests, the atmosphere was very nice. The service is more than capable of improvement, too few staff that evening, not trained, no glasses were cleared later in the evening, the counter was poorly staffed, so you sometimes had to wait longer for your drink. The champagne reception discussed was not available and not all the dishes were there, even though the menu was discussed with the bride and groom. The food available was very tasty but unfortunately there was too little. After a short time the potatoes, among other things, were empty and could not be refilled. The times for meals could not be adhered to because the kitchen couldn't make it. The tent is already standing a bit, so it's already partly green from outside. An attempt was made to repair the sunshade with a bit of tap, but it was unsuccessful. The toilets were full of spiders and the trash can was already full when we arrived. I absolutely cannot recommend it for a wedding.

My daughter's wedding took place here and I can highly recommend not only the restaurant but also the entire atmosphere. The food and the staff were simply great. The celebration took place in the marquee, which was located directly on the lake. This is highly recommended for a celebration. The support from the crew has been excellent.

Great, relaxed service staff. Food was very good. We had Caesar's salad and as adults (!) children's portions (chicken schnitzel, grilled sausages), which were more than plentiful and really good. We would love to come back here.

The prices are high, there is no change, so you have to tip. For example, a small cola costs just under 4 EUR

A very idyllic and lovingly furnished guesthouse. It was very cozy on the terrace in the late afternoon. The new menu reads excellently, unfortunately I was only hungry enough for a dessert but the semolina flammeri with tonka beans deserves at least 10 stars! The entire service team was friendly, quick and attentive. We'll definitely come back more hungry ;)

We sat in the garden and ate a little something. Afterwards coffee and cake. The waitresses were very friendly, competent and didn't get upset even by the large group with children. The location is very nice, and it's definitely worth taking a look at the restaurant.

I have to say yes, I haven't seen such a dirty lady in a long time!!! Everything is dirty.. from the dishes, napkins and I don't think the location has been cleaned for years! The lamps in the aißenbwrwich are so dirty and the beach chairs are full of spiders and cobwebs... baaaahhh... if I have a location like that and spend a lot of money for weddings, then I have to regularly clean the white roof of the tents... and then the broken parasols with them Tape was attempted to repair!! sad and I'll never go there again!!

Unfortunately I have to agree with the bad reviews. My attempts to place an order were consistently ignored this afternoon. My third attempt to order ended with the waitress replying that he was about to cough. My intervention to take the order first was reluctantly followed. My comment that I had shown enough patience by waiting half an hour was answered with the comment that you could tell. As a last resort, I decided not to place an order. A nice restaurant with an ignorant team. A pity !

After a 40-minute walk, we reached the restaurant at 6 p.m. Although their website states that they are open until 7 p.m., when we asked to order something to eat, we were told that they were just closing. Our request if we could at least get something to drink was rejected, even though there were still a few guests on the terrace champagne sat. Customer friendliness definitely looks different. This way you won't get any recommendations. 👎

The cake was obviously frozen and still cold. Not acceptable for a restaurant that calls itself, among other things, a “café”.

We weren't served. 1. Question to the waiter: whether we were allowed to put a table in the shade (there were 4 people over the age of 60 and 2 dogs), he shrugged his shoulders and wanted to inquire whether we were allowed to do this, unfortunately we got it no answer, even though he walked past us several times. So we sat down at table 101 in the blazing sun after a long walk. We weren't noticed there either. We then got a menu ourselves. After waiting again: I went into the main building and asked this waiter again if he could take our order, he said someone would come. After 20 minutes, no waiter had come to our table, so the next guest in the main building asked and got the same answer. We continued to be ignored. So now another waiter at the next table was cashing in, we asked again if we could place an order. His answer: We are not being served because we complained!!!! We were stunned by such behavior, arrogance, service. I can't express this in words because, at 63 years old, I've never experienced anything like it. We went and will not recommend this restaurant.

Beautifully located restaurant at the tip of Princes' Island. The food was good, the staff friendly. Only, it was quite full and the staff was completely understaffed for a sunny Pentecost Sunday. This resulted in longer waiting times.

You pay for the location. If you love cake and coffee, you shouldn't go here. No milk alternatives available.

We had reserved and it wasn't full at all, despite the nice weather. We then sat inside and waited 20 minutes for a card, which only came when requested, even though we were sitting in the passage and staff were constantly walking past us and looking. Later the card was not cleared. We were told minutes later that there is no double aquavit. Not double grain either. No alternative was suggested. There were no beer mats with the drinks. We joked with the couple at the next table about the bad service, because they ordered their pot of coffee as they walked in, but only got it after 30 minutes. Of the six main courses, one was not complete, but we were only told that later... So three pasta without prawns, one tartare. Then ten minutes later someone came and asked whether we, four people, had really only ordered three dishes. So the order was repeated again. The spaghetti arrabiata wasn't spicy but OK. We had to request the parmesan cheese that came with it twice. Paying went quite quickly. As I was leaving, I spent several minutes wondering why I had to watch two guys in the restaurant garden with their bare chests... I still understand why they're sitting there like that, but why doesn't the staff say anything about it? So an average of 25 euros per person is too much for this level of chip shop.

The restaurant was highly recommended to us because 2 people recently attended a wedding there. Ate dishes with asparagus, potatoes and fish as well as asparagus cream soup. The potatoes and fried potatoes were only lukewarm. The soup with the dumplings had a too thick consistency and 6 people had the feeling that the soup had been warmed up in the microwave. And at 2 p.m. no Hollandaise sauce with the asparagus, that's not so nice either. My husband himself is a chef: OT: we still have to work on it. The staff was very nice and friendly. The view is very nice, but as far as the food is concerned we were very disappointed. Sorry, but I don't have to drive 1 hour to you and spend so much money. This can be done better.

I came over spontaneously and alone Since I wasn't planning on stopping anywhere, my outfit looked accordingly, I showed up in a tracksuit and sneakers. Nevertheless, I was greeted and served extremely friendly and respectfully by the service staff. The ambience is nicely decorated, “quaint” but not old. There are historical pictures and some decorations hanging on the wall. The flowers and the flower water were fresh, the glasses were polished and the Pinot Gris that I ordered was very good. The music playing in the restaurant consisted mostly of pop classics, which stayed pleasantly in the background. The menu reads very well, although I think it is a bit large and you could easily delete at least two main courses and starters. The food doesn't have to hide, the "two kinds of fish" that I ordered was good, could use a pinch more salt, but there are cruets on the tables for that. The fish was well cooked and not dry, the consistency of the sweet potato puree and sauce was as it should be and the peas had a pleasant bite and were nice and green, only a little butter would have made them better. However, the criticism of the food is complaining at a high level. I paid €46 for a main course, a dessert, a small bottle of water, 0.25l of wine and an espresso, which is a good price-performance ratio these days. You can't expect star-studded gastronomy here, but you don't want that here either. The picture is very consistent and I got exactly what I hoped for. If it's the same during the season (I came over in mid-April), Definitely recommended

Beautifully located restaurant on Prinzeninsel at the end of the planetary path, which begins near the center of Plön and ends here with Neptune. Coffee and cake were very good, although the cake was a bit sparse. In summer it is certainly very nice outside by the lake or in the pavilion.

We came for lunch after a walk with four adults, strollers and two large and one small dogs. The staff was super friendly, very attentive and totally relaxed with the dogs. All dishes were very tasty and beautifully presented. Highly recommended and we will definitely come back from Hamburg to visit in the summer

At first I was very excited because I found the place very cozy and nice. However, I got very disappointed by the burger I ordered. It was disgusting! Even now that I think about it I get disgusted!

We have been going to Plön several times a year for more than 40 years: a trip to Princes' Island is always part of it. We have seen many tenants come and go over the years. But since Preußens took over management itself, service, performance and offerings have improved greatly. The team is always helpful, committed and takes a lot of time for their guests. We look forward to your next visit!

Gemütliches Restaurant mit wunderschönem Außenbereich . Gute Auswahl an Kuchen

Dir Lage auf der Prinzeninsel ist wirklich schön und auch das Gebäude macht durchaus etwas her. Wir waren zum Kaffeetrinken da, und der Kuchen hat uns absolut nicht überzeugt. Der Birnenstreusel war durchweicht und matschig, der Schoko-Kirschkuchen hat überhaupt nicht nach Schokolade geschmeckt. Der Service wirkte teils überfordert, wir mussten mehrmals auf uns aufmerksam machen, um zu bestellen und zu zahlen, obwohl alle um uns herum bereits bedient wurden, die nach uns gekommen waren.

Super leckere Torten! Wirklich zu empfehlen 5 Sterne. Und dazu noch eine tolle Umgebung.

Heute mal Sonne nach dem gestrigen Regen. Wir befürchteten schon keine Platz zu bekommen. Aber es gab ein schönen Tisch unter dem Sonnenschirm. Der freundliche Ober empfahl auch das Buffet. Das war perfekt, Suppe, Salate, Antipasti, warme leckere Speisen und noch Dessert zu einem vernünftigen Preis. Das können wir unbedingt empfehlen. Ein wirklich romantisches Lokal 😊

Hier ist es auch super, trotz Regen konnten wir draußen sitzen,etwas trinken und dasschöneAmbientegenießen. Ganz liebes freundliches Personal. Schöne Gebäude, große Kuchen-Auswahl.

Wir haben hier beim Paddeln einen kleinen Kuchenstopp eingelegt und fanden es sehr nett. Gemütliches Hof-Ambiente und lecker Kuchen.

Excellent place that accommodated us for a family occasion at short notice. We had coffee and cake and small dishes from the bistro menu. Beautifully located on an peninsula with parking some ways away, but on request they provide a shuttle service. Also accessible by boat.

Service sehr nett. Essen kann ich leider nicht beurteilen, da wir nur einen Cappuccino getrunken haben. Würde auf jedenfall wiederkommen.

Kleine aber feine Speisekarte. Es hat aber alles hervorragend geschmeckt. Toll ist auch der Spielplatz direkt neben der großen Terrasse, so dass die Kinder spielen können und die Erwachsen sich was leckeres gönnen können.

Bei einem halbvollen Betrieb kommen die Kellner nicht hinterher die Tische rechtzeitig abzuräumen und wissen nicht wer was geordert hatte. Die Tische stehen sehr schief, was nicht angenehm ist. Die Preise sind unverschämt hoch. 6,50€ für einen zimmerwarmen Eiskaffee mit einem Teelöffel Vanilleeis ist etwas zu hoch. Kann man also auslassen und es woanders probieren.

Ankunft mit dem Schiff, Aufenthalt ca. 1,5 Stunden. Auf der Speisekarte ausreichende Angebote, durchaus saisonale Gerichte. Wir mussten nicht lange auf das Essen warten und es war lecker. Sehr freundliches Servicepersonal!

Schöne Location auch der Weg dahin.

Wir waren an Pfingsten (Feiertag) mit 22 Personen spontan dort. Der Wirt hatte Personalmangel und daher keine Plätze im Innenraum. Aussen war natürlich alles voll. Nichts desto trotz haben wir in einer Gemeinschaftsaktion mit dem Servicepersonal ein Picknick auf der Wiese mit Kaffee und Kuchen für alle hingekriegt. Daher top location.

Eine blitzsaubere Angelegenheit in allen Belangen. Trotzdem ist es wert den Service noch besonders positiv zu bewerten.

Kleine Rast, alles super! Leckeren Aktionswein probiert, der Imbiss (Kinderschnitzel) kross und saftig, tolle Desserts, locker-freundlicher Service. Die Lage ist eh der Hammer…

Einen Besuch wert!!! Historischer Ort im Besitz der Hohenzollern....hier wurden die Söhne Kaiser Wilhelm 2 erzogen , viele Bilder zeigen von dem geschichtsträchtigen Hintergrund. Ausgezeichnet der Service: Super freundlich, kompetent und fix. Unserem Wunsch, zwischen Vorspeise und Hauptgang eine kleine Pause einzulegen, wurde sofort entsprochen. Das Essen war gut, insbesondere die norddeutsche Bouillabaisse. Sehr reichlich die Einlage mit Nordsee Krabben und Fisch. Butterzarte Ochsenbäckchen. Zum Backfisch der Kartoffelsalat für meinen Geschmack zu Soßenlastig. Gute Weine. Auf jeden Fall eine wirklich nette Location. Und nochmals: 1a Service

Mit meinem Sohn, der im Rollstuhl sitzt, habe ich einen Abstecher auf die Prinzeninsel gemacht: Ein wirklich sehr schönes Fleckchen Erde und der Service war toll - weil uns der Rückweg dann doch etwas lang wurde, hat man uns sogar im Shuttle zurück zum Parkplatz gefahren!

Der Oberkellner Herr Raab war sehr unfreundlich 😡😡 gerade Menschen mit Beeinträchtigungen gegenüber ….. wirklich nicht zu empfehlen

Sehr unfreundliche restaurantleitung. Man fühlte sich unerwünscht (waren mit einem Kind mit Handicap hier, was hier wohl nicht sehr gern deswegen wird :-() haben uns sehr unwohl gefühlt, nicht zu empfehlen.

Mitten auf der schönen Prinzeninsel findet sich dieses frisch und geschmackvoll renovierte Restaurant mit einem schönen Biergarten. Der Service ist freundlich und effektiv, die Corona-Maßnahmen werden gewissenhaft umgesetzt. Ein schönes Ziel für einen Spaziergang in der Natur.

Der knapp 2km lange Spaziergang war schon wunderschön. Das neu renovierte Restaurant und der stilvoll gestaltete Außenbereich mit Biergarten können schöner nicht sein. Ein richtig tolles Ambiente zum wohlfühlen. Wir haben hervorragenden Spargel und die halbe Ente genossen, die einfach phänomenal war. Klasse Essen, super Weinkarte und ganz ganz freundlicher Service. Für uns war es wie Kurzurlaub.....

Das Restaurant der Prinzeninsel wurde im Innen - und Aussenbereich komplett saniert. Es ist wunderschön geworden. Außerdem ein komplett neues Team, dass sich sehr liebevoll um die Gäste kümmert und gerne die Neuerungen zeigt. Aufgrund der Corona Maßnahmen konnten wir leider nur das umfangreiche To Go Angebot nutzen, dass aber ausgezeichnet war. Wir sind sehr gespannt auf den regulären Betrieb und kommen ganz bestimmt wieder.

23. 09.2020 Auf dem Parkplatz an der B76 steht ein Schild: Heute geschlossen. Also gut, dann morgen dahinwandern, dann ist ja das Lokal offen. Der schöne Strandweg vom Plöner Bahnhof zur Prinzeninsel zog sich doch sehr lang (gefühlte 5 km). Dort angekommen, steht man vor einem Bauzaun. Leider keine Bewirtung. Das Lokal bzw. das gesamte Haus wird umgebaut und ist schon seit Monaten geschlossen. NIRGENS ein Hinweis darauf, auch nicht am Anleger der Grossen Plöner Seerundfahrt. Ich kann nur vermuten, dass viele Urlauber die Überfahrt zur Prinzeninsel anschließend bereut haben. Steckt da wohl Absicht hinter oder machen sich die Verantwortlichen keine Gedanken darüber, richtige Hinweise zu geben?

Trotzdem das Restaurant um diese kalte Jahreszeit nicht wirklich geöffnet ist, macht ein kleines Team es den Besuchern sehr gemütlich. Die ganze Umgebung ist so wunderschön, dazu noch diese Gaststätte unter Reet, am Ende der Insel.

In einem kleinen, rustikal eingerichteten Bauernhaus wurde uns üppig aufgetischt. Die große Entenkeule machte uns beim bloßen Anblick den Mund wässrig. Die Beilagen Kroketten, Knödel, Kartoffeln sowie Rosenkohl und Rotkohl wurden reichlich in extra Schalen serviert. Natürlich gab es leckere Soße dazu. Das preußische Bier kann ich persönlich nur empfehlen. Die Servicekraft war auf Zack und die Beilagenschalen konnten jederzeit aufgefüllt werden. Ich kann diese Küche nur weiterempfehlen. Alles ausnahmslos köstlich und man wird defintiv satt.

Wir waren Anfang August in diesem Restaurant, als Gruppe mit mehreren oder besser sehr vielen Hunden, zu Gast. Die Lage des Restaurants begeistert total. Ebenso die Mitarbeiter, nett, freundlich, zuvorkommend und immer aufmerksam. Selten erlebt man, dass Abläufe so strukturiert sind. Die Getränke, auch die Nachbestellungen ließen nie lange auf sich warten. Das Essen war einfach nur lecker. Und auch hier ging es absolut zügig, dass alle gemeinsam ihr Essen hatten. Auch das gibt es äußerst selten. Hut ab :-)) Kaffee und Kuchen im Anschluss waren ebenfalls tip top. Was mich aber mit am meisten faszinierte, war die einfache Bezahlung zum Schluß. Normalerweise ist das immer so eine mittlere Katastrophe wenn man mit großen Gruppen unterwegs ist und zum Schluß bleibt immer mindestens 1 Getränk offen und man sucht den der das bei seiner Aufzählung vergessen hat. Offensichtlich wird das hier anders gehandhabt. Es hat mich total überrascht, dass die junge Dame, die uns so nett bedient hat, den totalen Durchblick hatte, wer hier zu wem gehört. Und uns so auch aufzählen konnte was verköstigt wurde und wer wieviel zu bezahlen hat. Absolut streßfrei für mich als Gast. Wenn wir wieder hier in der Nähe sind, kehren wir hier sehr gerne wieder ein. In diesem Sinne bleibt mir nur noch zu sagen: Danke für den tollen Nachmittag in absolut schönem Ambiente

Unfortunately this restaurant features all the feats of a restaurant in a prime location. Arguable we were there on mother's day and it was quite busy - however, this would hardly be a surprise to anybody, not even the managers of this restaurant, who could have increased their staffing levels accordingly. Instead, we found there were very long waits, staff were bordering on rude and guests were cueing up even to pay their invoices. Donlt get me wrong, the location is excellent. But that may be just the problem. The managers obviously don't have to work very hard to meet their turnover targets.

Before reviewing this place i must give you some advice and information. *Bring cash! This place does not take cards and there is no place close by to go get cash quick and easy. *Be aware of that its a 1800 m walk ONE way from the closest parking spot to this restaurant. We didnt read anything about this in reviews before going here so after 300 m walking we almost cried when we saw the sign "Restaurant Prinzelinsel 1500 m".......... Especially my girlfriend in very high heels. So to the actual restaurant and dining experience. The restaurant and its surroundings are very cute and pictureesque. They restaurant building itself is over 100 years old and feels very "German" in a good way. Lots of flowers and plants around the restaurant is also a nice touch when sitting and enjoying a cold beer outside. We ordered the veal Wiener Schnitzel with panfried potatoes w bacon and cucumber salad. I asked if the waiter (owner?) could fix some herb butter for the schnitzel wich he did. Very nice service level. The schnitzels where great as the rest of the food. Very rustic, german and GREAT tasting! The service was kind and attentive even though the waiter didnt speak any english.
