Last Sunday, our journey took us, among other places, to the Dorfschänke Lenggries. It's a truly quaint restaurant with a great, small beer garden with plenty of shady seating. The prices are more than fair. You don't find that often these days. Just one example: Wiener Schnitzel with fries for €13.80. And it was a truly excellent portion (2 schnitzels that truly deserve their name). The other dishes were similar. More than plentiful and delicious. If you're in the area, you should stop by! It's really worth it. It certainly won't be our last visit. Thank you for the lovely stay :-)

We were just a couple at the village tavern at 8:31 p.m. and were greeted with a very brusque tone, to the effect of, "No, you're late. Hot food was only available until 8:30 p.m." Even after politely requesting a small meal, we were asked to leave. This was the first and last time for us. I've never experienced such unkindness in my entire life. If you don't like working, you'd better not bother.

Unfortunately, I don't have a photo. But the food here is really delicious and reasonably priced, with friendly staff. You'll find meat and vegetable dishes, and there's also a children's menu. Highly recommended.

I've rarely eaten so well and so cheaply. The quality of the meat and other ingredients was truly outstanding. The Kaiserschmarrn was also very tasty. Highly recommended.

We've been here several times. Even without a reservation, they make every effort to find a seat for everyone. The beer garden is truly beautiful, and the restaurant itself is truly quaint. The whole experience is rounded off by friendly staff and excellent food at a great price/performance ratio. We will definitely be back. Thank you for the wonderful evenings with you.

Beautiful beer garden and cozy restaurant with an open fire grill starting at 6 p.m. Friendly service, dressed in lovely traditional costumes. Unfortunately, the schnitzel contained flax (cartilage), but otherwise, I highly recommend it! What I would like: more meat selection for the fantastic grill, like lamb or spare ribs.

A friend recommended it to us as the best restaurant in Lenggries and what can I say: she was right. We were there as a family of 5 and we all had Kaiserschmarrn, which was excellent quality and served in pans. The waitress kindly pointed out to us that the portions were rather large, so we had 4 Kaiserschmarrn for 5 and in the end everyone was very full and satisfied. We were there spontaneously in the afternoon and got a table straight away, but would generally recommend a table reservation. The building has an enchanting charm inside and out.

Great ambience, top service and very good food. From 6 p.m. there's something from the grill, which is located in the middle of the restaurant. We like being here.

Where else can you find something like that where meat and fish are prepared on an open fire right in the dining room? Always great and really good. Cozy restaurant with regulars' table and everything that goes with a village tavern. Very nice staff, whether the (kitchen) boss or the lady in the dirndl.

We had to wait 1 hour for the food, the dumplings were totally tasteless, the pork knuckles tasted very good and the sauce, on the other hand, wasn't that great. Overall, nothing special.

I love the “bunker” with its open fire. Grilled food of all kinds is highly recommended.

I can't judge food, it never got that far. Stopped by there after skiing because our little one still wanted Kaiserschmarrn. When we came in we were immediately told that everything was full. However, a gentleman at the corner table waved to us that he would pay immediately and that we could have his table straight away. Then the service was incredibly unfriendly: We should wait outside the door (in winter, mind you, and with a small child in our arms), because the land here is submerged. Then they left straight away. You don't want to give money to someone like that It's a shame about the location and the colleagues who try very hard here, but that's just not possible. Then go somewhere else in town, where customers and especially children are warmly welcomed.

Super cozy inside and out. Very nice service and landlady although a lot to do. Food (turkey steak from the fireplace with baked potatoes and herb quark) was great. Price-performance is right.

Beautiful village pub in an enchanting ambience, just like you would imagine in Bavaria... you don't understand a word at first, but once the service quickly recognizes, probably from our question mark faces, that we are tourists, communication is excellent. We stopped by the tavern spontaneously and unannounced and were completely satisfied. The food was super tasty and the price was outstanding! Attentive and friendly service, what more could you want? Please go there and keep such great restaurants alive!

It doesn't get any better. Our grilled fish and the homemade lasngne were a special treat. The staff is very attentive and friendly.

The sirloin was so tough that it was difficult to cut and certainly not chewable. The first thing I was told was that I was using the wrong knife and then I was told that unfortunately I had no idea because they had given out 8 loins of beef this evening and then mine, the 9th loin of beef, was supposed to be tough, unfortunately that couldn't be the case. The problem is I was told. I therefore had to pay the full price; i.e. the salad cost €22 because the meat was not edible. It's a shame if the guest is called stupid.

The Dorfschänke is our favorite inn in Lenggries. Top food at reasonable prices. Cozy atmosphere in the dining room with grilling on the open fire. When the weather is nice, we like to sit in the beer garden, where there is a sociable atmosphere. The waitresses are all friendly and attentive. The Dorfschänke is highly recommended, we will come back on our next vacation. Tip: Be sure to reserve a table.

A very good Bavarian village tavern. We enjoyed the food very much. I had the baked potato with vegetables and herb dip. Highly recommended, it is also available with turkey strips and only with a salad garnish and dip. My husband had pork medallion with onion sauce and fried potatoes. Also very good. Super nice suffering,....grill from 6:00 p.m.,...great selection,...day tickets, there's no star restaurant with it...perfect...aaaand...completely normal prices!

Great cuisine. Súper atmosphere. Friendly service. This is where the locals hangout. We had assorted grill plate with potatoes and pickled sausage and cheese salad shared between two. More than enough food even after 80km bike ride. Dark wheat beer was superb.

Super nice employee/boss? She ran the place very professionally, was so quick and attentive and, despite the gastro stress, was extremely personable and friendly and also answered questions. We spontaneously asked for a place here on Sunday and got it. The food was delicious, especially grilled salmon trout. Everyone enjoyed it and orders were taken quickly and food came quickly. I was asked attentively whether I should leave the salmon on the grill because I was busy with a small child (which is why I unfortunately couldn't take any pictures). Great value for money, we don't know that. If we were from the area we would come more often. Atmosphere is quaint in itself and with that cozy open fire. Acoustics and the space, tables close together, of course a bit loud when there is a lot going on. But it wasn't so bad and we still had space for everything. Parking spaces directly at the house. We had an appointment at the Alpin Center at 1:30 p.m. and were in Lenggries an hour earlier. We discovered the village tavern purely by chance while looking for a way to have lunch beforehand. Super nice, rustic atmosphere and the food was really delicious. Price-performance ratio is completely fine for us. We would definitely love to come back! greetings from Munich

It's a very good, rustic, greasy, authentic tavern. Very nice service staff and the kitchen knows what it is doing. All self-made. Sauce made from scratch. Very very tasty! And what I noticed, despite the fact that there are a lot of suitable and ancient equipment there as decoration (very suitable, by the way). It's very clean! Really only recommended. The next time I'm in Lenggries again. I'll definitely come back!

On Sunday we have the best roast pork so far.

Today we ordered Wiener Schnitzel- Paprika style and we weren't impressed at all! Two small schnitzels and a portion of paprika soup with fries… a shame! You can get this dish at any gas station - not typical for a Bavarian restaurant!
