Unfortunately, dogs are now banned from the village inn. This has really upset us as loyal regulars of 21 years. Our whole family and our friends have always loved coming with us to the inn. The dog always lies quietly under the table. That was the case again last week, everything was perfect. But today I was treated so rudely by a woman that I felt like a criminal standing there with my dog. We had come without a car, so we went home. Dear Martina, that's no way to treat guests. Especially since last week your colleague was so friendly and welcomed us with our dog. But whatever, I don't have to put up with being snapped at. Goodbye, village inn.

Very authentic, even the locals come here. Large portions, reasonable prices.

Oh my! Food was delicious, got the Knödel and hirschrücken Medaillons and it was really excellent. Will come back for sure!

A restaurant with 4.7 stars naturally raises high expectations. The food was okay, but nothing exceptional. The service was prompt, albeit a bit distant, and the process seemed a bit slow. I also find it a shame that card payments aren't accepted. That's not really appropriate these days.

Last Sunday, our journey took us, among other places, to the Dorfschänke Lenggries. It's a truly quaint restaurant with a great, small beer garden with plenty of shady seating. The prices are more than fair. You don't find that often these days. Just one example: Wiener Schnitzel with fries for €13.80. And it was a truly excellent portion (2 schnitzels that truly deserve their name). The other dishes were similar. More than plentiful and delicious. If you're in the area, you should stop by! It's really worth it. It certainly won't be our last visit. Thank you for the lovely stay :-)

We were just a couple at the village tavern at 8:31 p.m. and were greeted with a very brusque tone, to the effect of, "No, you're late. Hot food was only available until 8:30 p.m." Even after politely requesting a small meal, we were asked to leave. This was the first and last time for us. I've never experienced such unkindness in my entire life. If you don't like working, you'd better not bother.

Unfortunately, I don't have a photo. But the food here is really delicious and reasonably priced, with friendly staff. You'll find meat and vegetable dishes, and there's also a children's menu. Highly recommended.

Very friendly service and a very nice atmosphere. The only downside: I ordered cheese noodles, which tasted great, but the portion was really small.

I've rarely eaten so well and so cheaply. The quality of the meat and other ingredients was truly outstanding. The Kaiserschmarrn was also very tasty. Highly recommended.

We've been here several times. Even without a reservation, they make every effort to find a seat for everyone. The beer garden is truly beautiful, and the restaurant itself is truly quaint. The whole experience is rounded off by friendly staff and excellent food at a great price/performance ratio. We will definitely be back. Thank you for the wonderful evenings with you.

Beautiful beer garden and cozy restaurant with an open fire grill starting at 6 p.m. Friendly service, dressed in lovely traditional costumes. Unfortunately, the schnitzel contained flax (cartilage), but otherwise, I highly recommend it! What I would like: more meat selection for the fantastic grill, like lamb or spare ribs.

A friend recommended it to us as the best restaurant in Lenggries and what can I say: she was right. We were there as a family of 5 and we all had Kaiserschmarrn, which was excellent quality and served in pans. The waitress kindly pointed out to us that the portions were rather large, so we had 4 Kaiserschmarrn for 5 and in the end everyone was very full and satisfied. We were there spontaneously in the afternoon and got a table straight away, but would generally recommend a table reservation. The building has an enchanting charm inside and out.

The same, not very imaginative menu for years, but nice staff, a restaurant in which, pleasantly, little has changed, and in summer the most beautiful beer garden in the center of Lenggries.

Great ambience, top service and very good food. From 6 p.m. there's something from the grill, which is located in the middle of the restaurant. We like being here.

Where else can you find something like that where meat and fish are prepared on an open fire right in the dining room? Always great and really good. Cozy restaurant with regulars' table and everything that goes with a village tavern. Very nice staff, whether the (kitchen) boss or the lady in the dirndl.

We had to wait 1 hour for the food, the dumplings were totally tasteless, the pork knuckles tasted very good and the sauce, on the other hand, wasn't that great. Overall, nothing special.

I love the “bunker” with its open fire. Grilled food of all kinds is highly recommended.

I can't judge food, it never got that far. Stopped by there after skiing because our little one still wanted Kaiserschmarrn. When we came in we were immediately told that everything was full. However, a gentleman at the corner table waved to us that he would pay immediately and that we could have his table straight away. Then the service was incredibly unfriendly: We should wait outside the door (in winter, mind you, and with a small child in our arms), because the land here is submerged. Then they left straight away. You don't want to give money to someone like that It's a shame about the location and the colleagues who try very hard here, but that's just not possible. Then go somewhere else in town, where customers and especially children are warmly welcomed.

Beautiful village pub in an enchanting ambience, just like you would imagine in Bavaria... you don't understand a word at first, but once the service quickly recognizes, probably from our question mark faces, that we are tourists, communication is excellent. We stopped by the tavern spontaneously and unannounced and were completely satisfied. The food was super tasty and the price was outstanding! Attentive and friendly service, what more could you want? Please go there and keep such great restaurants alive!

It doesn't get any better. Our grilled fish and the homemade lasngne were a special treat. The staff is very attentive and friendly.

The sirloin was so tough that it was difficult to cut and certainly not chewable. The first thing I was told was that I was using the wrong knife and then I was told that unfortunately I had no idea because they had given out 8 loins of beef this evening and then mine, the 9th loin of beef, was supposed to be tough, unfortunately that couldn't be the case. The problem is I was told. I therefore had to pay the full price; i.e. the salad cost €22 because the meat was not edible. It's a shame if the guest is called stupid.
