Delicious, cozy and friendly. Nice beer garden and little street noise

The sirloin was so tough that it was difficult to cut and certainly not chewable. The first thing I was told was that I was using the wrong knife and then I was told that unfortunately I had no idea because they had given out 8 loins of beef this evening and then mine, the 9th loin of beef, was supposed to be tough, unfortunately that couldn't be the case. The problem is I was told. I therefore had to pay the full price; i.e. the salad cost €22 because the meat was not edible. It's a shame if the guest is called stupid.

We had to wait 1 hour for the food, the dumplings were totally tasteless, the pork knuckles tasted very good and the sauce, on the other hand, wasn't that great. Overall, nothing special.

The Dorfschänke is our favorite inn in Lenggries. Top food at reasonable prices. Cozy atmosphere in the dining room with grilling on the open fire. When the weather is nice, we like to sit in the beer garden, where there is a sociable atmosphere. The waitresses are all friendly and attentive. The Dorfschänke is highly recommended, we will come back on our next vacation. Tip: Be sure to reserve a table.

A very good Bavarian village tavern. We enjoyed the food very much. I had the baked potato with vegetables and herb dip. Highly recommended, it is also available with turkey strips and only with a salad garnish and dip. My husband had pork medallion with onion sauce and fried potatoes. Also very good. Great cuisine. Súper atmosphere. Friendly service. This is where the locals hangout. We had assorted grill plate with potatoes and pickled sausage and cheese salad shared between two. More than enough food even after 80km bike ride. Dark wheat beer was superb.

Super nice employee/boss? She ran the place very professionally, was so quick and attentive and, despite the gastro stress, was extremely personable and friendly and also answered questions. We spontaneously asked for a place here on Sunday and got it. The food was delicious, especially grilled salmon trout. Everyone enjoyed it and orders were taken quickly and food came quickly. I was asked attentively whether I should leave the salmon on the grill because I was busy with a small child (which is why I unfortunately couldn't take any pictures). Great value for money, we don't know that. If we were from the area we would come more often. Atmosphere is quaint in itself and with that cozy open fire. Acoustics and the space, tables close together, of course a bit loud when there is a lot going on. But it wasn't so bad and we still had space for everything. Parking spaces directly at the house. We had an appointment at the Alpin Center at 1:30 p.m. and were in Lenggries an hour earlier. We discovered the village tavern purely by chance while looking for a way to have lunch beforehand. Super nice, rustic atmosphere and the food was really delicious. Price-performance ratio is completely fine for us. We would definitely love to come back! greetings from Munich

It's a very good, rustic, greasy, authentic tavern. Very nice service staff and the kitchen knows what it is doing. All self-made. Sauce made from scratch. Very very tasty! And what I noticed, despite the fact that there are a lot of suitable and ancient equipment there as decoration (very suitable, by the way). It's very clean! Really only recommended. The next time I'm in Lenggries again. I'll definitely come back!

On Sunday we have the best roast pork so far.

Today we ordered Wiener Schnitzel- Paprika style and we weren't impressed at all! Two small schnitzels and a portion of paprika soup with fries… a shame! You can get this dish at any gas station - not typical for a Bavarian restaurant!

A beautiful clock-like tavern with very friendly staff who gave two hungry bikers the opportunity to fortify themselves despite a full reservation book. The food was delicious and the portions were more than sufficient (especially the Kaiserschmarren) and all at an impeccable price-performance ratio. We would be happy to come back on our next trip at any time!

Food was good. Service was nice too However, as an individual, I was the only one in the beer garden who wasn't allowed inside despite the downpour. Space was found for all other regular guests. That's why it's a shame... once and never again... I was soaking wet when I arrived at the accommodation

We had super delicious food👌👌. We made a reservation straight away.

The food and the atmosphere are pretty good, but the service was terrible and disappointing! Almost two hours before closing they refused to serve dessert and anymore drinks, didn't explain anything politely - more demanded to be paid while we were still enjoying our dinner - and were counting the register in front of all the customers that were still eating and trying to enjoy their dinners, just like us. It's just quite unprofessional and closing time wasn't even close. We were disappointed, as we know the place is popular and waited three nights til they have a free reservation, so were curious what the noise is about, as well wanted to enjoy a nice family time. We were sitting outside and during our meal they started closing umbrellas and putting everything away. Wouldn't come back, even though there are not many other places to go to in the centre of Lenggries, better to eat in the hotels by the church - the service there is levels above!

The name fits the ambience, very nice village tavern with a nice little beer garden and good Bavarian cuisine. I always like to come back just because of the Kaiserschmarn.

Very rustic, typical inn with everything your heart desires. The fact that everything is freshly prepared here on an open grill in the dining room is a step towards experience gastronomy in the era of convenience. We recommend!

We discovered the Dorfschänke Lenggries on our way back from hiking with friends, #Bigfoot and #Littlefeet in the Jachenau. What a beautiful place! There are places where you immediately feel almost at home, the food is excellent and the service is very friendly. We would have loved to have had another Helles or two Weissbier here, but we still had to drive on. The location is popular with locals as well as hikers, cyclists, etc. If you're in Lenggries, go here. The pub has an open oven on which meaty delicacies are grilled. The prices are ok, the toilets are clean and tidy and the team here goes out of their way to impress guests of all ages. Keep up the good work!

We went to the village tavern for dinner with a larger group...the food was very tasty and the service was very friendly and accommodating...I recommend it 100%...it stays that way...:-)

In itself a very nice, small but nice beer garden, the restaurant is pretty rustic, the service is friendly, but one in particular stood out for its dominance, which was quite annoying, the food, the roast pork, was in my opinion only average, it was too There was little crust and other guests had significantly more crust, which is really a no go, I think the prices are quite high and what was also annoying was that you can't pay with a card these days, which is for families or Groups are quite difficult due to lack of banks nearby, deducting two stars for these reasons

In the end we had two portions of apple fritters and my wife got the much larger portion, even though she is much smaller than me.

We tried to get a reservation twice but were always turned away. We had the feeling that the lack of space wasn't the problem.

Unfriendly. We came in, and a baba yaga. Unfriendly woman waved her head rudely and told us "keine platz " with an elongated face. The first time I met a rude German Frau. As Americans, we feel unwelcomed and will never come back and take our business else where. Not even a welcome to smile. Yikes. We cam all this way because of google reviews... bad idea. 👀

Anyone who comes unannounced must assume that they will not get a place. But they always try to accommodate you somehow. By the way, the best Viennese style schnitzel ever!!!!

Horrible experience. We walked in, and immediately were told to leave because there was no room. They could have said that they were busy and that there would be a wait, but they flat out told us to get out. Not the way hospitality should be. Learn manners. You could have been nicer to potential customers. A smile goes a long way compared to the four attitude.

My stop after a mountain hike didn't have what the reviews promised. We were seated at the table with other guests in the beer garden purely to save space, even though other tables were free and not reserved. Ordering drinks took a long time, ordering food took even longer. In the meantime, my companion said goodbye to the train. Newly arrived guests were served earlier and received their food earlier - I waited until it was cold and dark outside and the beer garden was empty, although I did communicate with the waitress. Food ok.

We always enjoy stopping at the village tavern during our vacation in Lenggries. Open grill in the middle of the restaurant. Today's knuckle (from the special menu) is absolutely delicious. 😋😊 Always my pleasure. Food perfect. In between there are also special dishes from the grill or from the kitchen. We always enjoy coming here. 😋😘

An absolute recommendation, super good food, super friendly service and a great atmosphere...especially the grilled specialties are an experience...definitely make a reservation in advance and leave room for the Kaiserschmarrn.

schade, wir hätten gern noch einen schnaps getrunken, aber anscheinend wurde versäumt, die öffnungszeiten zu aktualisieren, denn wir wurden trotz angeblicher öffnungszeit bis 22 uhr schon 21 uhr abgewiesen ohne einmal aussprechen zu dürfen. sowohl draußen als auch im innenraum saßen noch leute, deren geschirr noch gespült werden musste und 4 kleine gläser hätten den unterschied sicher nicht gemacht. die kellnerin war extrem unfreundlich. ich hätte es gern ausprobiert, aber sie hat mir ehrlich gesagt die lust auf den laden verdorben.

Uhrig schöne Dorfkneipe in bezauberndem Ambiente, wie man es sich in Bayern vorstellt…man versteht anfangs kein Wort, aber wenn der Service blitzschnell an, vermutlich unseren Fragezeichengesichtern, erkannt hat das wir Touris sind, klappt die Verständigung ausgezeichnet. Ausgezeichnet ist auch der Service, immer freundlich nett und mit vollem Durchblick, das hat Spaß gemacht 👍 PS; bei unserem nächsten Besuch wollen wir auch mal was Essen

Heute Käse-Hirsch Bratwurst mit Bratkartoffeln Preis absolut in Ordnung und das Essen war sehr gut. Besser geht es nicht. Tipp: Einfach mal hingehen und ausprobieren

As always, well presented food at a good price. Lovely ambiance with the fire going but steer clear of the table directly in front!! Small selection of wines but well priced and should cover most tastes. Have been before and will go back again!

Diesmal sind wir extra am Sonntag nach Lenggries gefahren, weil unsere Oma dort einmal Schweinebraten essen wollte, der besonders gelobt wird. Gut dass wir reserviert hatten, den es war alles ausgebucht, offenbar mit sehr vielen Einheimischen (das ist ja immer ein gutes Zeichen). Wir müssen sagen, dass der Schweinebraten aussergwöhnlich gut geschmeckt hat. Angenehme Kruste, zartes Fleisch, passend abgeschmeckte Soße und zwei verschiedene, sehr gute Knödel und Krautsalat. Die Bedienung ist gewohnt freundlich was perfekt zum Gesamtbild dieser Gaststätte passt. Bisher waren wir immer im Biergarten, aber der urige Gastraum hat schon auch seinen Reiz.

Angefangen vom freundlichen Service bis hin zum absolut leckeren Essen blieben keine Wünsche offen. Der urige Biergarten spricht für sich! Absolut empfehlenswert und gerne wieder!
