Just had a delicious Beef & Cheddar pie here! Great deal for €15 with a pint. The staff were lovely, very engaging and enthusiastic about the place and their products. I usually find the quality of beef to not be the best in the city, but this was perfectly cooked and tasty. Perfect for a big lunch or early dinner 💕

I was so high when I ate this pie, I thought I was going to fly, so I went next door and ate a chicken thigh. Nice pies a bit empty not going to lie, but you gave it your best try… I promise I’ll come by, if you tell me you’ll fill it high! Love the guy who ate the pie.

If you want to eat authentic British pie, this is the place for you. The Pie Cheddar/Beef is highly recommended.

This place deserves your attention, the small but very cosy room, the feeling of a family run business and then there are the pie and mash, made infront of you and it tastes delicious.

This place is incredible! The pies are absolutely delicious, and the service is warm and welcoming. We even got a complimentary mezcal shot, which was a lovely touch. Can’t wait to come back soon!

Super tasty original pie restaurant. We finally have a place to go in Berlin when one craves a tasty pie. I had the steak and cheese (13€) with all the sides (6€) - it was delicious. They press every pie by hand with an original English pie press and also supply festivals and events. You can even buy a frozen pie and take it home. 180*C 12-15min and a delicious pie is made. There is a small lush outside seating space and a toilet in the back.

Great pies, but the to-go is a ripoff. Tiny portion of mashed potatoes und pees. Hardly any gravy. Come on. Mashed potatoes nor gravy can’t be that expensive.

Good pies. I can understand the price for the quality and the technic of the pie (even if 13€ is a bit high for me) but the side is overpriced for what it is, even well sourced, smash potatoes and peas shouldn't cost 6€.

Certainly delicious, but: They are sooooo unfriendly that you'd better leave first. I wanted to talk to them about their unfriendliness and arrogance and tell them that this is not the way to treat customers. Then the police were threatened. I would say they are not criticism-friendly. People shout in your ear from behind, you are insulted, very condescendingly. Guys, you have a small pie shop. That's it. I wanted to take a look at it and maybe order catering etc., but as unfriendly as they are, I'd rather not do that. They don't want customers. Also OK. I wanted to clarify this again personally with the owner, but I can't find a contact address.

A little dream. Super friendly service, super tasty. And I can't understand the reviews that the pie is too small. I was also worried, but the pie (beef and cheddar) was super tasty and very filling :-) Always my pleasure:-)

We were on vacation in Berlin and came across Donau101 by chance. And what can I say, the food and everything around it was definitely the culinary highlight of the trip!

I recently visited the charming Donau 101 restaurant and absolutely loved my experience. This restaurant is a true gem, offering an exquisite selection of savory pies prepared with great attention to detail. As soon as you enter the restaurant you are greeted by a warm and inviting atmosphere. The decor is both cozy and stylish, with a mix of modern design and rustic charm that fits perfectly with the traditional British pies. The service is friendly and attentive without being intrusive, and goes a long way to making you feel at home straight away. Now for the most important part: the pies! I chose the chicken leek & bacon pie and it was to die for. The dough was baked to perfection – crispy on the outside, tender and buttery on the inside. The filling was rich, hearty and perfectly seasoned. Every bite was a delight and transported me straight to the UK. What I particularly liked is the quality of the ingredients. You can tell that only fresh and high-quality products are used here. This is reflected not only in the taste, but also in the entire culinary experience. The portions are generous, even if they may seem small at first glance, and the price-performance ratio is more than fair. In summary, I can highly recommend Donau 101 to anyone looking for authentic and delicious pies in Berlin. Whether for a relaxed lunch, a cozy dinner or just a sweet snack in between - this restaurant is definitely worth a visit. I'm looking forward to my next visit and more pies from their wide range.

I ordered via UBEReats. Really very tasty pie! (Beef & Cheddar) but if the beef isn't A5 Wagyu meat and the cheddar cheese isn't from Napoleon's Last Battle and gilded, I don't understand for the life of me how you can charge €17 for such a small thing sry. For this portion size I would pay a maximum of €8-9.

do not hesitate! stop by and try their OG British pie. service was super and they even offered us to try a new special side that was not on the menu. I also enjoyed very much their home made Shorle.

Me and my wife visited during the easter weekend. The food was delicious and the guy working that day was super friendly. We had a nice chat and he also offered water for our dog. Would absolutely recommend this place!

Nice concept! Pastry was really tasty for the pie. But I really would appreciate an improved vegan option.. with mash potato available as an option too. It's super easy to make mash potato vegan, just use some plant-based cream or milk or butter. If that's not possible, the vegan option should be cheaper than animal product version. It's too expensive to pay for mushrooms & lentils with no mash and just peas.. room for improvement please :-)

A „hiddden“ culinary gem in the middle of Neukölln: a simple, small but great establishment serving high-quality, super savory british/aussie-style pies. Great for takeaway, also to eat on the spot - yet only a few small tables outside available. This is truly a whole nice new institution.

Was craving a good pie and the Beef and cheddar pie here really hit the spot. Mash, peas, gravy and pickled things were also good. Portions were perfect for me. Staff were great, friendly and attentive. It's outside seating only. It was a chilly autumn afternoon with a bit of wind, so staff gave blankets and warm heated bags.

Wow such friendly people!! They gave me a blanket and a heated up pillow so I could eat outside. The food was amazing, the service was so friendly, and I had a great time!

I really like the pie here and the service was also great! But for a feedback for the owner, I think it's a bit too pricey considering it has no place to eat inside and the size of the pie is very small even for a small eater like myself. If it's a bit cheaper (7-9) I would go more often

Sehr sympathischer Gastgeber und richtig gutes Essen. Unterschiedlich gefüllte Pies(vegetarisch & Fleisch), Kartoffelbrei mit Erbsen und leckerer Soße und hausgemachte Schorlen. Absolute Empfehlung! Ein Weinchen kann man hier auch trinken.

13€ für einen Pie und 6€ für Kartoffelbrei, Erbsen und Soße sind schon zielich happig. Dafür ist die Bedienung sehr nett und das Essen lecker. Würde aber aufgrund des Preis-Leistungsverhältnisses nicht nochmal hingehen.

Really expensive and really tasty. We ate two pies and drank one bottle of beer. Around 50 euros in total. No place to sit inside, so if it’s raining - you are eating while becoming wet (didn’t stop us from finishing this amazing food though). Also you will be seating on the narrow sidewalk and next to the road with passing by cars. Which is quite a bummer. Very attentive and friendly service 🌸

Ordered a Steak and Ale with all sides for takeaway. It was absolutely banging and better than some pies I've had in London! Had high expectations given the reviews and they were definitely met. As others have mentioned, is it quite pricy for regular drop-ins but I will definitely come back to try other pies!

Amazing pies with tasty side dishes. A tad bit pricy for the quantity but unlikely that you'll find as good pies anywhere else in Berlin! Also, the chicken or beef pies are much better than chickpea ones!

Stopped by on the recommendation of a local friend, and I had high expectations. It didn’t disappoint, absolutely delicious (I had the beef and cheddar, with mash peas and gravy ofc) - sublime. Worth the trip.

5 ⭐️ for the incredible pies! synopsis: definitely delicious but not good value for money the flavour & love in prep is obvious and almost makes you ignore 17 euro for the pie alone (only almost). and then you get to the sides: 6 euro for a TINY side of mash / peas is ridiculous. AND gravy is not even included. when you pay for extra, the tubs are tiny. there is a 'menu @ 25 euros'... still a tough cost for pie & (hardly any) mash & gravy. pie & mash & gravy is comfort food.... apparently at uncomfy prices in berlin.... such a shame because lower prices would make me a regular customer and not just once in a blue-moon for special occasions

Excellent pies, maybe the closest thing I’ll get to decent meat pies like I had in Australia - only thing is they’re pretty pricey so this can’t really be a weekly thing for many people. Also, no inside dining is kind of a bummer especially during this last winter 🥶

Fantastische Pies, tolle Inhaber. Die Sides waren uns ein wenig zu teuer für die Menge/die Art aber hier geht es um die Pies, die waren jeden Cent wert (und übrigens nicht teurer als in UK teilweise selbst).

10/10 pies! Very butterfly, flaky pastries with some classic English fillings made to perfection. Their gravys are packed with flavour and to die for. The sides remain simple, classic and well made. All you need is a nice pint of ale. Absolutely would recommend!!

I travelled 40 mins to get to this pie shop and I was not disappointed. The pies are incredible and you can even buy frozen ones to take home which is a plus. I think they are a bit too expensive for my wallet (€12 for just the pie + €5 for the sides). If they were a bit cheaper I would 100% go all the time. The staff was very friendly, specially Mischa. It's not possible to seat inside but the guys will provide you with blankets and hot bags to keep you warm. I hope they can open another shop more central/north Berlin!

Oh my, I wish my plate was bigger ;). Veggie options had, did not disappoint. The sides were married together so well, with whatever pie one has. An authentic foodie experience, as the owner has a knack for flavour and charm. The chicken gravy could not hold any more flavour if it had to, never had gravy so flavoursome at an eatery. I see myself becoming a regular 😋😋😋 Big fat hint: A garlic mash would work well 😋

Super netter Laden. Man kann zwar nur draußen sitzen aber man bekommt decken und Wärmekissen. Die pies sind lecker und viele Zutaten bauen die scheinbar selber an. Sehr gechilltes sympathisches Personal!

Es ist soo lecker gewesen aber dennoch finde ich es überteuert, Vorallem der Wein für 50€.

Waren heute zu einem fantastischen Mittagessen bei Donau 101 und haben in der Sonne vor dem Lokal einen schönen Platz bekommen. Dort ist nur etwa Platz für 8-10 Leute also war das bei gutem Wetter wohl Glück. Die Bedienung war super freundlich und konnte alle Fragen zu Inhaltsstoffen beantworten. Vegetarisch, vegan oder Laktose frei war alles kein Problem. Man muss allerdings abstriche machen, da das Gravy und die Beef brühe natürlich besondere Spezialisten sind. Es gibt als Beilage leckes eingelegtes Gemüse und beim Pie selbst Kartoffelbrei und Erbsen. Der Pie war fantastisch. Sehr zu empfehlen aber auch nicht günstig!
