Mama Vegan in Berlin

Das Essen ist wunderbar. Wirklich eine gute Auswahl und auch Nicht- Veganern schmeckt es gut. Besonders so feine Gerichte wie der schwarze Klebreis oder die krosse vegane Ente und besonders toll: man bekommt veganen Mango-Lassi, das gibt's sonst fast nirgendwo. Die Bedienung ist immer sehr sehr nett, egal zu welcher Zeit man kommt. Was ich persönlich vermisse, sind vegane Sushi, das wäre wirklich toll - denn ich esse sie woanders nicht, weil sie da bestimmt nicht so sauber arbeiten und ich mir nicht den Magen verderben will, weil Fisch am Messer war oder so. Jedenfalls was bei Mama vegan echt verbessert werden müsste ist das Licht, es ist dort viel zu dunkel, man braucht eine Taschenlampe zum Lesen der Karte , der Teppich und die Wände bräuchten mal eine Renovierung an manchen Stellen und besonders furchtbar finde ich die Toilette mit dem Vorhang. Das finde ich unhygienisch. Aber das Essen ist sehr gut.

Schon beim Betreten des Restaurants fällt die sehr schöne Atmosphäre auf. Es ist super schön und harmonisch eingerichtet und die Mitarbeiter:innen sind sehr freundlich. Sowohl Vor- als auch Hauptspeise waren super schnell fertig, aber trotzdem von sehr guter Qualität. Das Essen war sehr lecker und hat mich trotz sehr leerem Magen komplett satt gemacht. Die Preise sind (besonders weil alles Vegan ist) echt gut. Also, tolle Atmosphäre, freundliches und schnelles Personal, sehr tolles es zum mehr als fairen Preis, was will man mehr😋

Das Essen war wirklich sehr lecker und der Service freundlich.

Das Essen dort war super. Es war total angenehm, auf die Speisekarte zu gucken und eigentlich alles essen zu können. Zudem sind die Auswahlmöglichkeiten bei den verschiedenen Gerichten nicht nur auf Tofu beschränkt, sondern bieten GUTE Auswahl, die auch sehr sehr gut schmeckt. Also nur eine Empfehlung an alle Veganer, Vegetarier oder eigentlich alle dort hinzugehen. Neben dem Essen, ist das Personal auch aufmerksam und natürlich nett. Für den Straßenverkehr am T-Damm, kann das Restaurant garnichts, dennoch war es recht angenehm und sie haben sich Mühe gegeben den Laden schön zu gestalten.

Ich war letzten Monat mit Freunden zum Mittagessen dort. Das Essen war in Ordnung, und der Service war anfangs okay, bis er sich dann aber dramatisch verschlechterte. Mein Gericht kostete 19,50 €, und Kartenzahlung war ab 20 € möglich. Ich hatte ohnehin vor, Trinkgeld zu geben und auf 21 € aufzustocken, daher sah ich kein Problem darin, mit Karte zu zahlen. Der Kellner sah das aber anders. Er meinte, das ginge nicht, aber sein Deutsch und Englisch waren schlecht, oder er wollte es mir einfach nicht erklären. Ich sagte, ich würde die 20 €, wie angegeben, bezahlen, woraufhin er behauptete, Trinkgeld werde nicht berechnet und der Gesamtpreis müsse über 20 € liegen, nicht der Preis inklusive Trinkgeld. Er versuchte noch eine Weile, mir ein schlechtes Gewissen einzureden und erklärte mir dann, wie das mit den Steuern in Deutschland funktioniert und dass seine Bank 10 € pro Transaktion berechnet usw. Hey, das ist nicht mein Problem. Ihr könnt doch nicht am Ende eure Kunden wegen eurer Bankprobleme belästigen. Es kann nicht sein, dass wir alle etwas falsch verstanden haben. Ihr habt eure Kunden einfach nicht richtig informiert und wart sehr vage, was die 20 € beinhalten sollen. Wenn ihr wirklich einen Fehler gemacht habt, gebt ihn zu, lasst die Kunden zahlen, anstatt ihr Geld zu verweigern, und macht es beim nächsten Mal besser. Ich bin nicht hier, um mir erklären zu lassen, wie Steuererstattungsmodelle funktionieren und wie schlecht die Bank von irgendjemandem ist.

Sehr leckere „Ente“, würde ich als bekennender „Alles-Esser“ jederzeit wieder bestellen.

Immer wieder gern! Wenn ich könnte, würde ich mehr Sterne vergeben... die "vegane Ente" ist ein Gedicht! Auch Milchreis in Kokosmilch mit Banane könnte ich jeden Tag essen <3 Bedienung ist immer sehr aufmerksam und hilfsbereit/freundlich... Habe auch schon oft Freunde/Familie mitgenommen... Die vegane Ente war sehr lecker, Bedienung freundlich. Allerdings habe ich Zöliakie, weshalb ich die Bedienung beim Bestellen gefragt habe, was ich essen kann, wenn ich kein Gluten vertrage. Die Bedienung hat die Karte studiert und schließlich auf das einzige Gericht ohne Allergiekennzeichnung "A: gluten" gedeutet, Nr 20, Reisnudelsalat. Ich habe mehrfach nachgefragt, ob das Gericht auch wirklich glutenfrei sei, und habe auch darauf hingewiesen, dass Sojasauce im normalfall mit Weizen angedickt ist, ob das bei ihnen auch so ist (wegen "hausgemachter Sojasauce"). Die Bedienung bestand darauf, dass das Gericht glutenfrei sei, also habe ich es bestellt und gegessen. Die Sojasauce und die panierten Zwiebelstückchen(?) sind mir aufgefallen, aber im Vertrauen auf die mehrfachen Aussagen der Bedienung habe ich sie gegessen. Die vegane Ente war auch paniert, das sah aber eher wie Sesam aus. Jetzt habe ich abwechselnd Durchfall und übergebe mich, das erste Mal seit mehreren Jahren, und weiß nicht, ob ich morgen arbeiten kann.

Dieses vegane Restaurant ist einfach fantastisch. Mein Freund ist zwar kein Veganer, aber auch ihm hat das Essen sehr gut geschmeckt. Jedes Mal, wenn wir dort sind, bestellen wir etwas anderes, und alles, was wir bisher probiert haben, war wirklich köstlich. Die Portionen sind großzügig und die Preise angemessen. Wann immer wir in Berlin sind, gehen wir zu Mama Vegan. Absolut empfehlenswert!

Dieser Ort ist fantastisch! Wir waren erst vor einem Monat in Vietnam und haben die tollen veganen Restaurants dort verpasst. Dieses hier haben wir ausprobiert und wurden nicht enttäuscht. Die Pho ist der absolute Wahnsinn! Ich kann dieses Restaurant uneingeschränkt empfehlen.

Ich find es toll dort. Meinen Hund durfte ich problemlos mitnehmen und es wurde auch direkt eine Schale Wasser angeboten. Freundliches Personal, schönes Ambiente, leckeres Essen.

Dumblin und der kalte Spicy Ingwer war sehr lecker. Servive war schnell und freundlich. Leider ließ sie mich ohne Besteck. Ja, Fingerfood aber bei der Salatbeilage dann doch von nöten. Einrichtungen halt asiatisch. Nur der Geruch war nicht optimal. Mag der Hitze geschuldet sein.

Wirklich köstliches veganes Essen! Wir haben schon ein paar Mal Essen zum Mitnehmen bestellt und jedes Mal war es schmackhaft und sättigend. Wir haben endlich mal draußen auf der Terrasse zu Abend gegessen und es war ein sehr schönes Erlebnis. Uns beiden haben unsere Gerichte sehr gut geschmeckt. Ich hatte die Mama Bowl mit veganem Hähnchen und fand die Vielfalt an Gemüse und Obst toll. Das vegane Hähnchen war schön knusprig, und als jemand, der zwar nicht vegan lebt, aber gerne vegane Alternativen isst, habe ich gar nicht gemerkt, dass es vegan ist. Mein Mann hatte die vegane Ente mit Erdnusssauce – wieder einmal köstlich und die vegane Ente hervorragend zubereitet.

Eine der besten veganen Pho-Suppen in Berlin! Frische Zutaten, tolles Aroma und sehr freundlicher Service. Ich komme definitiv wieder.

Das Essen war gut und hat gerade in der christlichen Fastenzeit sehr gut gepasst. Es war zwar etwas laut, aber man konnte sich trotzdem noch gut unterhalten. Etwas schade fand ich nur, dass beim Bezahlen recht penetrant auf mein Bargeld geschaut wurde und ich sogar zweimal gefragt wurde, ob ich bar zahlen möchte. Das kam mir etwas komisch vor. Ansonsten war alles super.

Ich kam gegen Nachmittag ins Restaurant. Da nur sehr wenige Leute da waren, war es perfekt für mich. Die Angestellten waren sehr nett. Die Speisekarte hatte eine große Auswahl. Das Essen kam sehr schnell, ich habe dort das erste Mal Seitan probiert. Es hat sehr gut geschmeckt und war preislich völlig in Ordnung.

Wir haben uns spontan für dieses Restaurant entschieden und es war echt positiv überraschend gut. Ich liebe es, dass hier alles vegan ist und man sich deswegen keine Gedanken machen muss Das Essen ist lecker, aber haut einen nicht vom Hocker. Trotzdem würde ich noch mal herkommen, um andere Gerichte auszuprobieren.

Es war so lecker! Ein absolutes Muss für Vegetarier. Ich kann es wärmstens empfehlen!

Ein absolut fantastischer Ort! Ich liebe es!!!!!

Ich bin da mittlerweile oft genug da gewesen, dass ich auch einfach mal ein Review da lassen will. Das Essen ist immer wieder so lecker und zufriedenstellend, die tolle Gastfreundschaft der Kellnerin schätze ich sehr und ich fühle mich da einfach wohl. Die Kunst an den Wänden schaue ich mir auch gerne länger an. Erst letztens haben wir den Feueftopf ausprobiert, fand ich sehr toll!! Es ist vielleicht nicht 100% perfekt, aber das ist auch gerade so, weil es ein kleines Betrieb ist und nicht so eine Fließbandarbeit Restaurant-Kette ist. Finde ich persönlich auch schöner und angenehmer.

I am on a vegan "duck" hunt here in Berlin! I've had it in a few vegan places now. I found it featured at Mama Vegan so had to stop in. First, I ordered a hot tea infused with aromatic, fresh mint and ginger. Perfect to rid yourself of a chill. The Dim Sum was 3 "gyoza" shaped dumplings, fried to be crispy outside with a mild, softness inside and it came with drizzle of a dark sauce and rose colored sauce over crunchy lettuce and slivered cukes, that gave the dish more flavor and texture. The main meal I chose was the crispy " duck " in red coconut curry. It came with a colorful array of vegetables, baby pak choy, sweet carrot, button mushroom, cuts of zucchini, onion that was cooked but not to wilting translucency which gave the taste buds a little kick and gently soaked in the sauce were tender broccoli floret. On the side was red rice in a little mountain peak, and salad of mixed greens, cukes, with an attractive topping of shredded daikon radish and shredded beet. It was a hearty portion that was incredibly satisfying. It is possible one might need to bring some of this vegan "duck" home depending on appetite. I came for a late lunch, stayed a long while and managed to eat the entire dish, but I left quite full and very content for the rest of my day walking the streets and climbing the stairs of Berlin.

We tried several appetizers and the curry, and everything was absolutely delicious. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, and despite the restaurant being full, the food arrived quickly. Thank you so much, we'll be back! :)

A very good vegan restaurant with a wide selection and very friendly staff. There's plenty of space and the prices are fair. We'll definitely come back. You can park nearby on the street.

I ordered Mama Tex Tofu, supposedly grilled tofu with dark sauce. The sauce had the consistency of brownish water. The "grilled tofu" was a whole block of tofu sitting in this watery broth. And to charge €14.50 for that: Absolutely outrageous.

It's on the pricier side, but the food is definitely delicious, nutritious, and flavorful. If you're looking for authentic Asian cuisine that's also vegan, this is the place for you.

We order from VeganMama every week. Always €40 and up. And every single time, we specifically add: "Please include a fork and napkin." And what do we get? Of course, nothing. No fork. No napkin. Ever. Consistent as clockwork—except in their ignorance. Now I'm standing at the market with my food. Should I eat the pasta telepathically? Or just throw myself headfirst into the box like a stray cat? Honestly: If you regularly fail to include a fork and a piece of paper, it's no longer an oversight, it's a service performance art piece. Food: okay. Service: comedy. Repeat offenders in "overlooking customer requests." Maybe next time just add: "Food only for people with cutlery from home."

I'm becoming a fan. I've never consciously eaten vegan food before, and certainly not crispy vegan duck. I could have done without the duck, because everything else was incredibly delicious—especially the sauce with the rice. My husband was also very impressed with his meal. I imagine the other dishes are delicious too, so I'll definitely be eating there more often.

On Sunday afternoon, our group of six spontaneously decided to go to Mama Vegan because the restaurant was very close by. We were seated after a short wait. The service was very friendly and pleasant. The food and drink menu was comprehensive, with something for everyone. The drinks were reasonably priced but also very tasty. We opted for dishes with tofu and vegan duck. We all thoroughly enjoyed our meals. The vegan duck was virtually indistinguishable from real duck in both taste and texture. The prices were excellent for what we got. We were completely satisfied and highly recommend this restaurant.

The place is great and the food is lovely. I’ve really enjoyed coming here. However, during my last visit a couple of weeks ago, the girl behind the bar was constantly using an electric fly zapper. Hearing the sound of insects being electrocuted like that felt quite disturbing. The place obviously gets a ton of vegan guests. I truly hope the management considers a smarter way to handle something like this 😭 I’m still sad when I think about that.

An excellent restaurant with a lovely veranda, themed decor, delicious food, and friendly service. Please note: Orders of €20 or more are cash only.

Tried various dishes. Whether with soy sauce or peanut sauce, vegan duck or fried tofu: all very tasty. Vegetables with a bite. Good prices, large portions, fast service. There's still room for improvement in the friendliness... Large outdoor area, but right on the T-Damm.

The meal for six people was good for everyone. Even before closing time at 10 p.m., the staff were visibly annoyed and downright unfriendly. Drinks couldn't be ordered until 9:45 p.m. At 10 p.m. sharp, we were shown the door. Not a word or even a halfway friendly farewell. That could have been much better!

We had a wonderful meal here. A huge selection on the menu. The translation is a bit off, though. The homemade elderflower juice with lime is wonderfully refreshing. The peanut soup (called peanut sauce) with seitan was also good. Another person in the group was less enthusiastic. His bowl was too hot (temperature) and contained too much soy sauce.

Mama Vegan at the Tempelhof S-Bahn station: I actually went to this restaurant and no other. Do they have to offer vegan food? I had "duck" with vegetables and rice. The texture of the "duck" was rubbery. It didn't taste like real duck. Probably with a lot of chemicals, flavor enhancers, stabilizers, etc. The Warsteiner beer (see photo) was also vegan. I'd rather have real duck. The vegetables were natural. The service (in the afternoon) wasn't particularly attentive.

Great Vietnamese food, all vegan, with some delicious drinks too. Friendly service, reasonable prices, English translations on the menu if needed, including for all their allergy information.

The atmosphere is authentic and lovingly designed. The food was not only a culinary highlight, but also beautifully presented. The staff was warm and attentive, which made the stay even more pleasant. Every bite was a delight; everything was delicious and prepared with great care. I will definitely be back and can wholeheartedly recommend it.

Delicious food, well-suited for vegans and vegetarians. However, I deducted a star because I ordered baked chicken from the waitress, but got fried chicken. When I told the waitress, he took the plate away, but the waitress brought it back and said we'd ordered fried chicken. She didn't change it, even though she didn't understand me and it was her fault. Otherwise, all the other dishes were fine. We then ordered a ginger ale, and it took forever to arrive. Tip: order by number, rather than saying it in words :)

Delicious vegan Vietnamese food!!! This is my second time eating here. Very tasty, fresh food with an authentic Vietnamese flavor – completely vegan! I especially recommend the pho and the summer rolls with avocado. I'm impressed by the friendly service and pleasant atmosphere. I'd be happy to come back!
