Die Zeder - Restaurant & Take-Away in Titisee-Neustadt

I tried the swarama, or whatever it's called. It tasted really good, but for 9 euros it was so incredibly small, four times thinner than a normal dürüm! I was even hungrier afterward. We'll never go there again. Hahaha, for 9 euros I can get a really big, delicious döner in Switzerland, or at least the same thing I ordered there, only much bigger. Poor Germany!

I'm truly surprised to find such delicious food in Germany. I discovered this restaurant by chance and I'm so glad I did. I've already been twice and I'm already looking forward to going back. The staff is very friendly and the service is excellent. ❤️

It’s a very diverse place, both in terms of the team and the guests, which really provides a rich experience of Titisee. My personal experience here has been positive, and I felt comfortable during my visit.

The Shawarma Plate is 10/10, insanely good

We stopped by here more or less spontaneously with our son. The food wasn't just a culinary delight, it looked absolutely fantastic too. The owners are very friendly and accommodating. If we didn't live 600 km away, we would definitely be regulars. 😀 Otherwise, a clear recommendation for anyone looking for something special, something a little different from the usual fare.

Discovered by chance and absolutely thrilled! A lovely atmosphere, and a vegetarian's dream come true! Great selection of wraps, tarte flambée, and pizza. We had falafel wraps which were incredibly delicious! Everything was perfect even just before 10 pm; the two owners were super friendly and in good spirits. Highly recommended!!

Very delicious, the best restaurant in Titisee

The food was served incredibly quickly and was absolutely delicious. I highly recommend it, and if I'm ever in the Black Forest again, we'll definitely come back to eat at your restaurant.

I visited this restaurant about one or two years ago. The food was really good, I have no complaints there. Unfortunately, I had a very unpleasant experience when paying, which overshadowed everything else. After my meal, I paid by card and entered my PIN. The waiter then told me that the payment supposedly hadn't gone through. Although I was certain the transaction had, I also paid for the meal in cash to avoid any discussion. A few days later, I saw on my bank statement that the amount had indeed been debited. So I had paid twice. I contacted the waiter by phone and then via WhatsApp, even sending him a screenshot as proof. However, his response was disappointing: he said he couldn't transfer the money to me and that I should simply come back on my next visit and collect it in cash. Frankly, I find that completely unacceptable. First of all, at that point, I didn't even know when—or if—I would eat there again. Secondly, it's completely unrealistic to expect anyone to remember a particular incident months or years later. I had proof that the payment had been received twice, and yet I still haven't received my refund (around €51). To me, that's neither fair nor trustworthy. It's a shame, because the food was really good – but an experience like this completely destroys any trust. I won't be going there again. But three stars for the food.

The food tastes very good and there is a wide selection. Our order was prepared quickly both in the restaurant and when we picked it up. The staff is very friendly. High chairs are available for small children.

Really delicious falafel. Crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. The plates (shawarma and crispy) were both very tasty and more than generous.

After a long day at the thermal baths, this place was a relief for our rumbling stomachs. Even though they had officially closed several minutes ago and were still making pizzas fresh from the oven. And the service was just as good as it got. I can only give it a full 5 stars for all of them.

It's always good to eat there...the price/performance ratio is top-notch 🤩. They are always very friendly and accommodating. We're already looking forward to the next time 🤗

Extremely good, fresh shawarma. I spontaneously went there with my cousins. We're actually from Switzerland. I'd get one every day if it were nearby. Especially for the price, we can't find anything as good anywhere else in Switzerland. Simply WOW!

We visited Die Zeder Titisee and were absolutely thrilled! The shawarma and falloumi platters were incredibly delicious – everything was freshly prepared, full of flavor, and lovingly presented. You can immediately tell the quality of the work here. The service was consistently friendly, attentive, and warm – you immediately feel welcome. An all-around fantastic experience – we'll definitely be back and highly recommend it!

I had lunch with my family on the terrace outside this restaurant in Titisee. The food was delicious and plentiful. We ordered four shawarma dishes, which came with a chicken wrap, salad, fries, hummus, and aioli. Everything was delicious and beautifully presented. The service was fast and very friendly. One of the chefs spoke Spanish and gave us excellent advice on what to order. The four dishes plus two bottles of water cost a total of 72 euros, very good value. We would definitely eat there again. Truly delicious and authentic Lebanese food! With great and comfortable seating.

The place is fabulous and the people are friendly. The setting outside is kinda good but customers were a little loud. I had the Shawarma teller which was tasty but a little too salty. I paid 18.4 euros for the meal and a cup of Ayran (not homemade). They could work on controlling the salt amount, in my opinion. They allowed me to use the restroom (I was shocked that it isn’t open for all customers). I somehow recommend.

The Zeder restaurant on Lake Titisee is highly recommended. The menu is large and varied – there's something for everyone. The prices are fair and well-balanced for the quality of the dishes. I particularly like the crispy plate: the chicken was perfectly seasoned and beautifully crispy, the falafel plate was pleasantly spicy, and the halloumi plate was wonderfully hearty. The service was also excellent – the staff were very friendly, attentive, and helpful. You immediately feel welcome and in good hands. A visit to Zeder is worthwhile in every way – I'll be back!

I had to search with a magnifying glass. For the price, I would have at least expected a more filling meal. Thanks for nothing – one star for the portions, like in a miniature museum.

Incredibly delicious food served here! We tried the falafel wraps here, they were freshly made falafels were absolutely delicious, crispy, and flavorful. I have to mention the service, they are incredibly welcoming and friendly, which made our visit even more enjoyable. The place has a charming setup, with a take-away counter on one side and dine-in seating on the other. The décor is cute and inviting, and the shop is beautifully located right in the heart of the main market. If you’re strolling through the area and craving something fresh and delicious, definitely drop by!

Secret tip if you want to eat excellent. Tastes outstanding, even though I am not big of a fallafel fan. But you immediately see and taste that the cooks know what they are doing.

We ate on the terrace of the fast food restaurant. The shawarma is delicious, and the falafel is downright the best I've ever tasted. The only thing worth mentioning is that you can't choose the side dish. The guy wanted to serve it with pickles and garlic sauce, and insisted it wasn't a kebab. With all due respect to the ancestral shawarma recipe, we asked him to please serve it with lettuce and tomato, which were listed among the ingredients. He charged us almost 2 euros for each ingredient change. In the end, it was almost 40 euros for three shawarmas and one falafel. And yet, they're worth it; it's really good.
