A lovely little family-run trattoria. Rustically decorated with lots of knick-knacks everywhere, but it all works. The staff is attentive and very friendly. We noticed they even chatted with regulars here and there. A complimentary appetizer arrived, and we placed our order. Some ingredients were indeed displayed in the dining room, and the staff helped themselves to a wide selection...mussels, prawns, and who knows what else. Our dishes arrived, and they were delicious. Everything—the appetizer, the main course, and the dessert—was excellent. We'll definitely be back. Reservations are recommended.

The idea was to eat Italian food. Nope. Overcooked, overpriced, and tasteless. Only the setting is nice. Avoid it except for the pizzas.

I came to the restaurant and said that if I ate well I would come 7 days in a row because I was staying for a fair. Very good ambient, calm place, friendly family running the restaurant and very good food. Meat and fish. When I come back in 3 years I will sure come back again. Grazie mile!

Rude - entered the restaurant asking for a table for 1 and a woman started shouting across the restaurant at me. Plenty of open tables, but apparently all "reserved" - but the woman was still shouting this across the restaurant. Clearly not interested in serving a single person.

Authentic, family-run Italian restaurant

The food is really delicious 😋, but sitting outside isn't really that great. It's right on the main road (6 lanes), and it's incredibly noisy. It's cozy inside, though. The owner is very nice and polite.

I called ahead to ask if they accepted card payments – and they told me to hurry because the kitchen was closing soon. Luckily, I made it! The starter – a carpaccio – was simply magnificent, and the olive oil was of the highest quality. Both the starter and the pizza were a delight. The service is warm, with that special warmth and affection you'd expect from your grandmother's house – that familiar atmosphere that only Italian families can create. I'm not Italian, but I felt at home here. An extraordinary experience. Thank you, Bruno and family!

Great local, great food, the truffles were delicious. The starter, carpaccio, was brought out immediately. Desserts were fantastic. And not to forget the Lugano. Simply fantastic. Thank you.

Amazing dinner. This is one of the best family style italian i try in Germany. Highly recomend!!! The owner is very nice. We practically dont order. They just keep bring it food and all is very good! The vongole is aldente, with doversole fish and nice lamb . Perfecto!

Amazing food. Authentic ambience. Small restaurant with 7 tables and there is outdoor seating. A must try if you are in Düsseldorf. We had Dorad, and pasta with prawns. And Mozzarella appetizer. Traveled the world, never tasted Italian like this. And don't forget the Tiramisu.

Wenn man das Lokal betritt, wirkt alles erst einmal etwas erschlagend. Alles voller Tische, Flaschen und anderer Sachen. Kompletter Gegenentwurf zu den stylischen und etwas puristischen Italienern sonst. Der Gastgeber liebt es, der italienische Chef zu sein. Alles soll locker, entspannt und souverän wirken. Mag man mögen… Essen war gut aber auch hier optisch sehr schlicht. Nudeln mit wenig Drumherum aber wirklich außergewöhnlich gut. Man kann gut essen aber in Sachen Atmosphäre geht sicher mit kleinen Anpassungen deutlich mehr.

I was finally here for the first time and I have to say how beautiful it is. I like the small shop and the family that takes great care of you. First there were a few olives then I continued with a piece of pizza without cheese but olive oil, tomato and basil, then I had the Bolognese and it was so delicious. All at a fair price, what more could you want. There is also a small but nice terrace, so I praise it

Ich war nun zum ersten mal auch nun endlich hier und ich muss sagen wie schön es doch ist. Ich mag den kleinen Laden sowie die Familie die sich herzlich um einen kümmert. Erstmal gab es ein paar Oliven dann ging es weiter mit einen Stück Pizza ohne Käse aber Olivenöl Tomate und Basilikum danach habe ich die Bolognese gehabt und die war sau lecker. Das ganze zu fairen Preisen was will man mehr. Dazu gibt es auch eine kleine aber feine Terasse sowas Lob ich mir

We chose this restaurant based on the numerous positive reviews and we would not be disappointed. The restaurant itself doesn't seem inviting at first glance, but it makes a familiar impression. We were greeted warmly and shown to a table. We also ordered relatively quickly. Unfortunately the food took a little longer, but it came in a timely manner. We had ordered penne all’arrabbiata and gnocchi. The food was a dream. It's been a long time since I've had really good all'arrabbiata. The restaurant can be recommended 100%.

It's been a long time since I've eaten at Da Bruno again. It was somehow like coming home to me, the same operators as around 25 years ago. Family business. Everything was delicious and the price was okay. Since there are only a few tables, reservations are advisable. By the way, the mixed starter was delicious 😋

Ein Lokal, in dem man sich von der ersten Minute an wohlfühlt. Das Lokal hat ein sehr italienisches Flair. Der Service war sehr zugewandt und freundlich und das Essen war ausgezeichnet. Ich hatte Spagetti Carbonara auf italienische Art, also ohne Sahne. Perfekt! Ich habe das Lokal per Zufall endeckt und meine Begleitung war ebenso wie ich äußert angetan. Ich kann das Lokal nur uneingeschränkt empfehlen.

We were there at a private party with a fixed menu and felt like we were in the middle of Italy. All dishes were delicious and authentically prepared. Good prosecco and wine rounded it off. The owners run this restaurant with passion, you can just feel and taste it. A heartfelt recommendation!!!

Family-run Italian restaurant with great food. Unfortunately, there was a closed party on weekends and now also more often during the week, so that the entire restaurant was "simply" unexpectedly closed to the regular customers. Shouldn't do school. You also like to close the kitchen earlier if you don't feel like it anymore. Ruins the overall very good impression.

Zeer leuke ervaring ! Authentiek Italiaans Restaurant. Lekkere antipasti. Zowel de mozzarella met tomaat als de bruschetta Parmaham zijn aanraders. Als hoofdgerecht zijn de saltimbocca Romana en de kalfsmedaillon met mozzarella niet te versmaden. Wij komen zeker terug !

Zum Glück gibt es noch solche Lokal, wo Köche nicht noch zusätlich eine Mal-Kurs machen müssen, damit sie einen Design-Teller präsentieren können, welchen sie für Euro 20 mehr verkaufen würden. Hier wird sich auf das wesentliche konzentriert, gute Küche ohne unnötigen Schnickschnack!

We became aware of the reviews and reserved a table over the phone in advance. The service was great, the family is just great and a lot of regular customers seem to go there again and again. We had pizza twice, very hot and super tasty. Bruschetta is also highly recommended. At the end we even got a few small pastries on the house with the coffee. If we are in Düsseldorf again, we will come back. Be sure to make a reservation, a small Italian restaurant that is always full and well sought after. Top address for Cucina d'Italia for 40+ years! Consistently first-class quality and perfectly seasoned dishes. Authentic, loving and honest owners. Clear culinary line. I spent one year working in Duesseldorf, although it is plenty of restaurant in town I always had dinners at Bruno's, because he can proposse genuine italian food (Especially but not only from Abruzzo region) Bruno and hos wife are attentive and professional, always trying to satisfy you even with special orders out of the menu. From a romantic dinner to a group celebration there is the perfect vibe in this restaurant. Prices are more than correct, quality is top, I really recommend this restaurant for any circumstance.

Vorspeise auf Empfehlung des Chefs: Risotto mit Meeresfrüchten…Klasse. Hauptspeise Dorade aus dem Ofen mit Gemüse, auf den Punkt gegart, und dann fragt der Chef: Darf ich Ihnen den Fisch zerlegen ? Das ist Service. Ich war allein, große Flasche Wasser oder Flasche Wein wurde nach Verbrauch abgerechnet…..wo gibt es das noch. Alles in allem: eine echte Empfehlung

We have been to this small restaurant several times. A typical Italian cuisine. Whether pizza, pasta, fish or meat, everything is freshly prepared. The price-performance ratio is simply right. This family business is highly recommended. But you have to reserve a table a few days in advance.

Small restaurant on the main street. I didn't find it comfortable. It smelled like a toilet every now and then. The waiter often coughed into his hand. After we had the menu, I asked about the drinks menu. I know: first drinks, then food. I wasn't asked later if I would like anything else to drink. The pizza was okay, but not outstanding. Not a place for me to visit again.

I'm sorry for the very small place which doesn't allow for a greater number of customers and in fact during our dinner I was rejected a lot. We had booked and had no problems. Genuine food, also Italian products, kind owners, Bruno and his son, we had a very good time. To try.

Dispiace per il locale molto piccolo che non consente di avere un maggiore numero di clienti ed infatti durante la nostra cena molto sono stato respinti. Noi avevamo prenotato e non abbiamo avuto problemi. Cibo genuino, prodotti anche italiani, titolari gentili, Bruno ed il figlio, siamo stati molto bene. Da provare.

Endlich mal wieder ein richtiger Italiener. Bin nur zu Besuch in Düsseldorf und bin so froh dieses Lokal gefunden zu haben. Chef und Chefin sind selbst präsent und die Küche schmeckt wie im Urlaub. Das Glas Wein wird einfach gut gefüllt und alle sind einfach nur locker und freundlich. Würde ich hier wohnen wäre es sicher mein Stammitaliener für den kleinen Urlaub am Abend.

Das Essen war lecker leider war die Bedienung nicht sehr freundlich. Es wurde bereits abgedeckt obwohl meine Freundin noch gegessen hat, vor allem wurde dabei auch noch über den Teller gegriffen. Stammgäste wurden besser bedient.

Super! We werden snel geholpen. We hadden niet gereserveerd voor 3 personen, maar er werd wel meteen een tafel voor ons gedekt. Service is top. Het eten is ook prima! En niet duur. Er werd vaker gevraagd of alles oke was. Je wordt er echt gezien! Voor herhaling vatbaar! ◡̈

Das Ambiente ist wirklich toll, aber das war es auch schon. Wir hatten für 4 Personen einen Tisch reserviert und anscheinend gab es kurz ein Missverständnis bei der Kommunikation, da der Wirt uns erst nicht an einem Tisch platzieren wollte und dies erst tat nachdem wir wiederholt hatten, dass wir eine Reservierung haben (erste Antwort war gewesen, dass nichts frei sei). In den fast 1,5 Stunden, die wir da waren, waren mindestens 5 4er Tische dauerthaft frei und niemand hat das Restaurant betreten. Da frage ich mich tatsächlich, ob der Wirt einfach etwas gegen uns hatte und uns deswegen nicht in seinem Restaurant wollte (wir haben uns in keiner Art und Weise schlecht benommen und waren wirklich sehr höflich, daran kann es also eigentlich nicht gelegen haben). Die Bedinung vom Wirt und das Essen an sich (ich hatte die Nudeln mit Pesto) waren eher durchschnittlich. Pluspunkte gibt es für das Brot als Vorspeise und, dass es nicht nur ein Teelöffelchen Pesto war, das an den Nudeln dran war. Ich kann beim besten Willen nicht verstehen, warum dieses Restaurant so gut bewertet ist.

Ich war während einer Fortbildung beim PhV da - zum wiederholten Male . Das Essen ist sensationell lecker , vor allem die Hähnchenkeulen auf Rosmarinkartoffeln . Die Wirtsleute sind sehr aufmerksam und kooperativ .

One of the best dinners I had in Dusseldorf. Would recommend the king prawns and the sea bass. The lamb chops were good but slightly overcooked. Desserts were amazing! Please try the panna cotta… However they do not entertain walk in even if the restaurant is empty. You would need to make a reservation. All in all highly recommended!

Sehr kleines, aber authentisches Italienisches Restaurant. Der Service ist gut und sehr, sehr aufmerksam. Man nimmt sich gerne Zeit für seine Gäste. Eine telefonische Reservierung ist sehr empfehlenswert, da das Restaurant meistens ausgebucht ist!

Sehr leckerer Italiener. im Herzen Düsseldorfs. Leicht zu erreichen, aber auch ziemlich beliebt! Mit kleiner Ausssengastronomie. Ich hatte Schnecken na h Art des Hauses mit einer Tomatensauce. Dann ein tolles Rinderfilet mit Rotweinsauce. Filet war sehr gut auf den Punkt gegart.

Absolut großartiges italienisches Essen, der Kellner war etwas durch den Wind aber alles total sympathisch mit italienischem Charme. Das Lokal ist recht übersichtlich aber total gemütlich. Wie gesagt, das Essen war großartig und die Portionen total in Ordnung. Totale Empfehlung👍
