Unfortunately, a huge disappointment – ​​not recommended We visited the restaurant on July 7th with a group of seven for an 18th birthday – and were thoroughly disappointed. Although we had reserved a table for six in advance, the owner's welcome upon arrival was extremely unfriendly. Instead of responding in a solution-oriented manner, we were initially accused of not having a reservation, even though we were able to occupy it – despite a slight discrepancy in the name. Instead of a suitable table, we were assigned a much too small table for four (!), which should have seated seven of us – even though there was a free, much larger table reserved for fewer people. The owner made no effort to find a solution. The way this situation was handled was not only unprofessional, but downright rude – no trace of hospitality. Being seated right next to the restroom also didn't contribute to a pleasant atmosphere. The service was slow, disinterested, and also lacking in customer service. We had to wait a very long time for our order to be taken, and the bread was served carelessly without comment – ​​a few old, small slices (5 pieces) of baguette with an egg cup full of olive oil, which is absolutely inappropriate for an Italian restaurant of this caliber. I would have expected crusty country bread or ciabatta here. Unfortunately, the bread I ordered later only arrived towards the end of the meal. My portion of "vongole" consisted of only eight small mussels (not to be compared with the photo here from another guest – from two years ago! It was half the portion) – three of which were closed – which was not only disappointing in terms of quantity, but simply unacceptable. Even though the dishes tasted fine, the portion sizes were consistently tiny and not commensurate with the price. To make matters worse, the bill also included drinks that were obviously from the neighboring table – another negative highlight of an already disastrous evening. What was supposed to be a lovely, exuberant 18th birthday party ended in frustration and disappointment. This restaurant didn't impress us with its food or service – and especially not with its hospitality. Definitely not a recommendation.

A truly excellent experience! I tried the truffle pasta and the beef fillet – both were delicious. The pasta was creamy, aromatic, and well-balanced in flavor, while the fillet was wonderfully tender and perfectly cooked. You could clearly feel the quality of the ingredients and the care taken in the preparation. A special thank you to the waitress who served us: very friendly, courteous, and always attentive. She made the evening even more enjoyable. Unfortunately, there are always people who lack a genuine palate and don't appreciate such quality – a shame, because this restaurant deserves nothing but praise. I'd be happy to come back and highly recommend it!

“Nice packaging, poor contents.” The G.Saitta looks great – stylishly decorated, a place with sophistication and flair. Unfortunately, the praise ends almost where the menu begins. The waitress was so unfriendly that you almost wanted to apologize for ordering anything at all. A smile wouldn't have made the meal any better – but it would have been a start. The food: A complete disappointment. Poorly presented, bland in taste, and to be honest: For those prices, I don't expect pasta that looks like it came out of a microwave. Italian delicatessen? If this was “delicate,” then I was at the wrong Italian restaurant. The bottom line: If you just want a glass of wine in a beautiful setting, you can do it. If you want good food, you'd better move on. Even beautifully arranged olives won't help.

G. Saitta is a real Italian treasure in Düsseldorf. Cozy atmosphere, sincere hospitality and truly delicious home cooking. The pasta is fresh, the antipasti is aromatic and the desserts are like Nonna's in Italy. The owner is always friendly and the wine list has a great selection of Italian wines. The perfect place for a warm dinner with family or friends.

I can't agree with the many positive reviews in any way. Yesterday, according to the menu, I ordered a crayfish salad with avocado cream, grapefruit and raspberry vinaigrette. What I was served, however, was an unpleasant tasting wild herb salad with cucumber, avocado cream, grapefruit and a few crayfish tails. I hardly tasted any of the vinaigrette. I complained about this salad to the owner, who reacted in a very unfriendly manner and, with unbelievable stubbornness, lack of insight and arrogance, claimed that the menu had said that it was a wild herb salad by repeatedly tapping on the salads listed above the crayfish salad on the menu. After that we were just ignored for a while. For example, the plates were not cleared away. There was neither an apology nor a small compensation, for example in the form of an espresso! The second dish, a green pasta with tomato sauce, was also not to our satisfaction. The pasta was completely drowned in tomato sauce and olive oil. Since this was the second negative incident in this restaurant, we will no longer visit this restaurant and would rather go to a more charming Italian restaurant where the guest is still treated in a friendly manner.

Es gab einen Geburtstag zu feiern - und dann suchen wir immer nach einem guten Restaurant... so war es auch an diesem Donnerstagabend. Das Essen war bekanntlich ausgezeichnet. Ob traditionell „Antipasto Misto aus der Vitrine“, die köstliche „Mediterrane Fischsuppe“ oder „Spaghetti in Safransauce mit Gamberoni“. Und vorab hierzu einen köstlichen Prosecco gefolgt von passenden Weinen. Es war ein stimmungsvoller Abend, das Restaurant war mehr als gut besucht. Wir waren froh, dass wir rechtzeitig reserviert hatten. Und das Personal, um optimalen Service bemüht, kam wahrlich dabei ins Schwitzen. Wir kommen auf alle Fälle wieder!

The daily menu would show a cheaper price for a dish than on the menu, but the higher price would be charged. Upon request, the price on the day menu was changed (but still cheaper than on the menu). We had to pay the expensive one from the menu and the waiter was also unfriendly. The food was good.

Früher waren wir ROMA-Fans, aber seit dem Umbau kann man dort nicht mehr hingehen und so wollten wir diesen Saitta auch mal ausprobieren - zum Glück :) Dies hier ist ein richtiger Italiener., mit persönlichem Service, schönes Restaurant, aufmerksam und freundlich. Die Tische stehen so weit auseinander, dass man nicht unbedingt beim Gespräch der Nachbarn alles hört. Das Essen einwandfrei und lecker. Uns hat es sehr gut gefallen und wir werden sicher wiederkommen.

Meine Frau hat mich heute Mittag in dieses schöne Restaurant eingeladen. Wir wurden sehr herzlich begrüßt. Die Speisekarte ist sehr übersichtlich, was ich als überaus positiv empfinde, da die Speisen frisch zubereitet werden. Trotzdem hatte ich die Qual der Wahl. Alles laß sich sehr appetitlich. Ich entschied mich für die Fischsuppe, welche sehr köstlich war und Pasta mit Safransoße und Hummerkrabben. Als Dessert gönnte ich mir eine Cassata. Als Wein tranken wir ein Glas sehr guten Babera d‘Alba. Der Service war sehr freundlich und gut. Es war ein wunderbarer Mittagstisch und werden auf jeden Fall dort wieder einkehren. Natürlich haben wir uns noch mit etwas italienischen Käse, Schinken und Salami aus Kalabrien eingedeckt.

Pranzare qui si è rivelato una piacevole scoperta e ritengo che questo sia - senza alcun dubbio - uno dei ristoranti italiani all’estero da provare almeno una volta nella vita! Ho avuto la fortuna di poter assaggiare dei fantastici tajarin con tartufo bianco fresco di Alba e me ne sono innamorata, non avrei mai immaginato di poter vivere un’esperienza simile in Germania! In menù specialità italiane di varie regioni, qualche incursione internazionale e un’interessante selezione di dessert. Il ristorante ha anche un bancone gastronomia che permette di acquistare e portare a casa prodotti italiani di alta qualità, dai formaggi ai salumi e non dimenticando dolci tipici

Sehr leckerer Italiener! Schöne Auswahl an leckeren Speisen. Kellner war sehr aufmerksam. Leider wurde uns trotz großer Bestellung (4 Personen) der Limoncello am Ende noch berechnet (einziger Kritikpunkt). G.Saitta ist einen Besuch wert. Parken ist etwas schwierig.

Das letzte Mal dass wir hier waren. Da sitzt nebenan ein Hund auf einem Stuhl (!), einen Teller mit Fressen vor der Nase und die Schnauze auf dem Tisch. Hunde von russischen desperate housewifes dürfen das hier anscheinend. Ist das hygienisch oder appetitlich? Nein!

Sehr zuvorkommende und aufmerksame Bedienung. Wir haben sehr lecker gegessen und noch an den warmen Herbsttagen gemütlich draußen sitzen können. Gerne wieder!

Das Italienische Restaurant G. Saitta in Kaiserswerth ist ein absolute Empfehlung in der Gastronomieszene! Ich hatte das Vergnügen, dort Taglierini mit schwarzen Trüffeln und Spaghetti Vongole zu probieren und wurde von den Aromen und der Qualität der Gerichte schlichtweg begeistert. Die Taglierini mit schwarzen Trüffeln waren köstlich. Der intensive Geschmack der Trüffel gepaart mit der zarten Pasta harmonierten perfekt zusammen. Es war ein wahres Fest für die Sinne! Die Spaghetti Vongole waren ebenfalls außergewöhnlich. Die Muscheln waren frisch und saftig, und die Pasta war al dente gekocht und mit einer köstlichen, leichten Sauce verfeinert. Jeder Teller war ein Meisterwerk, das die kulinarische Expertise und die Leidenschaft des Küchenteams widerspiegelte. Das Ambiente des Restaurants war charmant und gemütlich. Das Personal war äußerst freundlich und zuvorkommend, und der Service war exzellent. Die Kombination aus erstklassigem Essen, herzlicher Atmosphäre und professionellem Service hat meinen Besuch zu einem unvergesslichen Erlebnis gemacht. Ich kann dieses Italienische Restaurant nur wärmstens empfehlen. Es ist der perfekte Ort, um exquisit zubereitete italienische Spezialitäten zu genießen. Wir waren am 24.6.2023 da essen. Wir haben uns eine Lasagne bestellt und einmal Nudeln mit Pfifferlingen. Also die Lasagne war nichts außer Tomaten sauce und Lasagne Blätter. Habe wirklich noch nie so eine Lasagne bei einem Italiener gegessen der sie nicht kann. Zu den bandnudeln mit Pfifferlingen sie waren ok Nudeln perfekt gekocht sauce verbesserungs würdig. Der Service hat versucht gut zu sein. Das heißt das die 2 älteren es haben aber der große lange einfach zu eingebildet war. Die 2 Jugendlichen die da ausgeholfenbhaben haben halt noch keine Erfahrung was aber nicht schlimm ist. Aber vom fazit Wir werden da nicht mehr essen gehen.

Das ist die schlechste Erfahrung habe ich und meine Freundinnen erlebt ...das Essen schmeckt wirklich schlimm.. Sehr Salzig .Die Tomaten Sausa schmeckt wie im Krankenhaus gekocht wurde ...das Lohnt sich nicht.wir sind alle 😞...

Ein nettes Lokal - nur halt nicht mehr als "nett", denn dafür stimmt Preis-Leistung in diesem Lokal nicht. Nun privat sowie zwei mal geschäftlich dort gewesen und somit reicht der Eindruck um kein weiteres mal dort hin zu gehen. Die Qualität des Essens ist solide, aber nicht sehr gut. Der Service ist ebenfalls nur mittelmäßig. Schade

NIcht mehr als Durchschnitt. PLUSPUNKT Im Gegensatz zur Speisenkarte und den Getränken, kam die Rechnung nach zweimaliger Nachfrage promt. Zu wenig Raum für die vorhandene Tischanzahl und Bestuhlung. Völlig überforderter, hektischer Service, sofern man von einem solchen überhaupt sprechen kann. Überschaubare Speisenkarte, der es an typischen italienischen- und Tagesgerichten mangelt. Auch wenn der Inhaber die Auffassung vertritt Gerichte könnten interpretiert werden, so gilt nach wie vor, dass jedes Land und dessen Provinzen typische Gerichte hervorbringt an denen es nichts zu interpretieren gibt, da sie nahezu jeden Gaumen erfreuen. Denn tatsächlich handelt es sich bei Interpretationen nur um Verfälschungen und nicht um Verbesserungen. Das Ergebnis ist ein Einheitsbrei, dem es an Geschmackvielfalt dient. Hinsichtlich typisch italienischer Küche empfehle daher dem Betreiber, u. a. das Buch "Aus Italiens Küchen" von Virginia Caerbolini aus dem Hallwag Verlag zu lesen. Auf 684 Seiten bietet es dem "Interessierten" genügend Inspiration italienischer Kochkunst, d. h. Originalrezepte der verschiedenen Regionen Italiens. Es bleibt also leider dabei. Durchschnittliche Speisenqualität zu überdurchschnittlichen Preisen. Betriebswirtschaftlich gesehen ist das völlig ok. Insgesamt kein Highlight, für das es sich nach Düsseldorf-Kaiserswerth zu fahren lohnt.

Von ganzem Herzen zu empfehlen. Egal ob man einen gemütlichen Abend zu Hause plant und sich lauter Leckereien an der Feinkosttheke zusammen stellt, oder sich im Restaurant verwöhnen lässt - hier ist man an der richtigen Stelle für italienische Köstlichkeiten. Die Qualität der Speisen und Weine überzeugt mich jedes Mal und ist jeden Cent wert. Ein Lob an die Küche und natürlich lieben Dank für den stets freundlichen und aufmerksamen Service - ich komme bald wieder und freue mich jetzt schon darauf!

Wir haben telefonisch einen Tisch für Sonntag, 14.08. Reserviert als wir dann vor dem Restaurant standen, mussten wir feststellen, dass Sonntags Ruhe Tag ist. Das hätte man auch direkt am Telefon sagen können statt die Reservierung zu bestätigen! Mit der Anzahl von Personen die wir waren konnten wir nur mit Glück noch woanders was finden! Vielen Dank für Ihre Antwort aber ich habe nicht in einem anderem Restaurant angerufen sondern im richtigen! Ich habe es nach Ihrer Antwort erneut kontrolliert. Sie sollten evtl. Ihren Mitarbeitern die Öffnungszeiten noch einmal erklären.

Sehr leckere Gerichte direkt am Clemensplatz mit Aussengastronomie. Allerdings auch zu aus meiner Sicht überhöhten Preisen.....

Am Wochenende bei G. Saitta in Kaiserswerth gewesen- zu Essen gab es die Taglierini mit schwarzen Trüffeln mit einem leckeren Chardonnay vom Weingut Kreyss. In dem wunderschönen Ambiente der Saittas, direkt am Clemensplatz kann man seine Zeit sehr gut verbringen.
