I highly recommend the lunch menu. It's really affordable by today's standards. For €15.90, you get a decent-sized cheeseburger, a generous portion of fries, and a large drink.

This is probably the low point of Connie's Dinner. There used to be exuberantly friendly customer service, prompt food preparation without long waits, servers who asked if everything was okay, and always had a smile on their faces. Typical American, in a way. Today, there's probably nothing to laugh about here. The kitchen and service are understaffed; a robot brings the food to your table, which you had to order yourself via QR code. The burgers were well-topped, and the burger bun was barely cut with a knife. For me, the worst diner I've ever been to.

Two of us were here on a Friday afternoon around 5 p.m. We had made a reservation, as it had always been difficult to get a table at this time before the pandemic. First impressions after the reopening: - It was very empty (the left side of the restaurant was closed off). - I think there was still Christmas decorations: wooden sculptures like fir trees and moose, as decorations in the outside restaurant in July? - Nice music was playing, and the service was very friendly and accommodating. - There were one or more cat/waiter robots "working" in the restaurant. A nice and fun idea in itself. However, the music there is different than in the restaurant. I found that rather distracting. We also received our food and drinks from a server. The use of these devices was a bit incomprehensible to me. However, we did notice that many parents were coming by with children. - The burgers had pink/red buns? The reason is unclear to me. -The ribs are no longer drenched in sauce, which was a positive. - The menu has been slightly modified. - The food wasn't exceptional, which would justify another visit with a longer round trip. - The prices are also reasonable. Conclusion: If we're ever in the area (for example, a visit to the aforementioned furniture store), we would stop by for a snack. However, I wouldn't come specifically with friends or acquaintances.

I was satisfied 😊 The service was excellent, the food was delicious, and the atmosphere was pleasant. The value for money was also good for me. I have nothing to complain about!

We really enjoyed the ambiance in the diner, cozy with its traditional banquettes. The service was friendly, and since it wasn't busy in the afternoon, our food was brought to our table very quickly. The baked potato with pulled pork was really delicious, and the corn on the cob was also good. The salad wasn't my cup of tea, especially the dressing. My highlight was the brownie – super moist and nice and warm 👌 We'll definitely be back :)

The ambiance and service are still good. Very friendly staff, and the robot is a highlight. Unfortunately, the food quality has declined significantly. The portion sizes have also become significantly smaller, so the price for the meals is no longer justified. We won't be coming back for the time being.

Unfortunately, my visit to Connie's Diner didn't impress me. While the quality of the products is decent, I don't think the high prices are worth it. You can get comparable quality for similar items elsewhere for less. Even though the store's presentation is appealing, the overall price-performance ratio leaves a rather disappointing impression. It's a shame, I had hoped for more from my visit.

I'd gladly come back for the fajita chicken. Simple, straightforward, and delicious. I also had tortillas with dips and salad with dressing. The atmosphere is very inviting and cozy, the service isn't at all intrusive, and watching the robot is fun—you don't see that often. Janis, in particular, was very nice; he was a lot of fun to be with. I highly recommend it!

The food was truly delicious and reasonably priced. The ribs were very tender and flavorful. The peanut butter burger was highly recommended, and the service was very friendly.

You're seated and supposed to be given a QR code to order. This was forgotten, and only done half an hour later, upon request. Then, while ordering, you noticed that some of the dishes were no longer available. After that, you waited over an hour for the food. The food itself wasn't anything special for the price. The seating on the benches is very tight. You don't need to go there again.

We attended dinner as a family in the evening. The wait times are very long to get a table and for the food and drinks to arrive at the table. Yes, there's this funny robot that drives around and delivers the food, but with four people, it's already overloaded, and a server has to support the vehicle. The server who served us was polite and helpful. Unfortunately, there were far too few servers. It's probably similar in the kitchen. From ordering the food to delivery at the table, it took more than 45 minutes. After guests paid and left the restaurant, it took almost an hour for the table to be cleared and new people to be seated, even though there were many people waiting at the entrance. The corn on the cob was unfortunately overcooked, but the ribs were good, and the meat came off easily. The men's restroom was clean, but the faucet handles looked to have been missing for a while.

I'd like to refute all the negative reviews! I wanted to try it for myself and was pleasantly surprised! Excellent service, ambiance, and delicious food. A completely different restaurant. It's definitely worth it! Keep it up 👍

The food was great. Ordering and paying via our mobile phone was a surprise, but it worked well.

We were last there 5 or 6 years ago... I was absolutely thrilled, the value was great, and everything was delicious. When I ate there today, I was totally disappointed. They had pink burgers, and the personal touch of the diner is gone. Now robots drive to the table and bring the food... you order via your phone. I don't know, I didn't feel comfortable there today.

The food tastes good. We also had to wait over 1.5 hours for our food... The service is hard to rate, as orders are placed via QR code. Apart from bringing drinks and, if necessary, food (which is also brought by a robot), the small staff doesn't pay much attention on a Saturday during peak meal times.

We charged our car at the supercharger and then took a lunch break here. Our conclusion: very tasty food, friendly service, and reasonable prices. We'll be happy to come back. The wait for our food and an espresso (which came with a glass of water) to finish was perfectly acceptable. Fun fact: there's a mobile robot here that brings the food to the table. An innovative solution in times of skilled labor shortages, and definitely an eye-catcher. We enjoyed it and got a few laughs when the waitress told us the robot's name was "Bella."

I ordered a schnitzel with white wine sauce and mushrooms at Conny's Diner. Unfortunately, the experience was rather disappointing. The schnitzel was obviously a frozen product and, with a small portion, quite small – for the price of around €14.50, I honestly expected more, both in terms of quality and quantity. The fries had to be ordered separately and cost an additional €4.50 – bringing the total price for a regular meal to almost €19. For this price range, the portion was significantly too small. The accompanying salad was okay, but nothing special. Overall, the value for money wasn't right for me. The ingredients didn't seem freshly prepared, but more like they came from the freezer, which is disappointing given the prices. Conclusion: Friendly service, but small portions, mediocre quality, and rather steep prices. It's a shame – there's still room for improvement here.

The price is a bit expensive but the food is good, the service is very friendly and accommodating and the food itself is brought by a robot, at least that was the case at our table, which was quite amusing as it plays songs while it makes its way through the room.

This restaurant was the first one I ate with my friend. For nostalgic reasons we come back every few years. Our last time was quite a while ago. The interior is definitely reminiscent of a diner, but unlike before there is quieter background music playing, which I found to be very pleasant. This time I chose fajita with beef rump and my friend chose ribs, wings and a side dish of potatoes. As I glanced past, I found the burgers at the next table to be much more appealing than before. My fill-your-own fajita was a really generous portion, the meat was fried medium rare as requested and the small wraps came in a container so they stayed warm. I really liked my food. I had a lot of fun and it tasted really good with the plenty of vegetables, the delicious meat and the sauces. The sauces are certainly a finished product. You should know, but I already knew that. He really liked my friend's ribs and ordered them there several times. Very tender, good marinade and overall happy with the portin. He ordered a Dr. Pepper Cherry to drink and here, as is usual in the USA, it is served in a can. For dessert I had a piece of New York cheesecake and my friend had a banana shake. I thought the cheesecake was great. A really nice vanilla note, creamy, not an exaggerated cookie base, but enough that it was the perfect component. I really didn't need the cream with it - neither the type of cream, nor any cream at all with cheesecake, but you're not forced to eat it. He also liked my friend's milkshake - he's a big milkshake fan anyway. The portions of both desserts were such that we could barely fit them in. The service was really excellent yesterday. Fast, super friendly and really accommodating. We let him know that later in the form of tips and words. I think the good service staff are always welcome to hear that when they do a great job. Overall, it was really another delicious evening. We were satisfied with the food, had fun and remembered our first evening there. If you know what to expect there and correctly classify the location so that there is a ready-made sauce, then you can really spend a nice evening here. The whole ambience is very harmonious, the food was more than just solid, the service was good and we really recommend it, especially with groups. We briefly felt like we were in a 2000s US teen movie on our first date over milkshakes and it's exactly this harmonious feeling that keeps us coming back every few years.

Friendly service, but the dyed burgers are more reminiscent of dog food! Very expensive dog food! Definitely never again!

The food is fine. Quite expensive. The atmosphere is mediocre, and the seating is cramped at the fixed tables with benches.

The food was good, but nothing extraordinary—solid fare, as you'd expect. The service was all the better for it: the server was very friendly and attentive, and we didn't have to wait long for our food. The ambiance is the same as always—it seems like not much has changed in about 15 years. That's not necessarily a bad thing. Overall, a down-to-earth restaurant that's definitely worth visiting every now and then if you're nearby and just want to eat well—no big surprises, but also no disappointments.

American Style Burger Restaurant

It used to be much better, the veggie burger was rather soggy, even Mäckes can do better. Portions were okay. Update July 2025: I spontaneously went there with my wife on my birthday. The vegan burger was quite tiny for a diner, about the size of a Junior Whopper. But the portion of American fries was very large. My Caesar wrap was OK, the fries OK, but quite salty. Overall, though, not satisfactory for the price. I ordered a Virgin Margherita to celebrate. Who the hell garnishes the rim of a glass with chili flakes and doesn't write it down? They reacted nicely to my surprise and took it off the bill. The food came quickly and was much better than before.

Unfortunately, it's nothing like what it used to be. The food is average at best: brown lettuce, bones in the burger, dirty glasses, faucets in the men's restrooms incomplete, air conditioning broken, etc. After a "not so good" visit a few weeks ago, this will definitely be our last visit. I've been going here since I was a kid and I'm just incredibly disappointed by the substandard development.

We waited over an hour for our food. When we politely asked, we were simply told, "There's only one chef, so it'll take a while." After another 30 minutes, the food finally arrived – a completely excessive wait for a normal dinner. As a small compensation, we simply asked for a beer each on the house, which the waiter initially agreed to. A short time later, he suddenly said only two small beers, nothing more was allowed. We even accepted that, gritted teeth. But then another waiter (presumably the boss's daughter) came over and said that even that wasn't possible; we could have a small loaf of bread or cake instead. Seriously? When we responded, annoyed, "Then I don't know who's paying our bill," the first waiter came back, completely upset, with the words, "Hey, who says that? What's up with that?" – instead of apologizing for the terrible service, we were yelled at. In the end, of course, we paid because we just wanted to leave – and then we were asked if we wanted to tip. Absolutely outrageous. We'll definitely never come back here. Bad service, poor organization, inappropriate communication with guests. An evening full of frustration instead of enjoyment.

A very welcoming lunch stop on the way to your vacation. Very friendly, multilingual staff, decor for US fans, a little robot "server" that delights the kids. Delicious hamburgers, homemade ice cream "Emma the Mu", a good place to avoid the traditional roadside restaurants.

We've been there a few times. The food is generally quite good, but the service gets worse every year. The staff is extremely friendly, but clearly overwhelmed. You have to wait a very long time for the food. And despite ordering via app, things are often forgotten during delivery. The "starter" concept is also largely unknown, as starters are brought with the main course. You could simply order the main course later, but who does that when you wait over an hour? Given the prices, you'd expect more.

That was nothing. The price/performance ratio was a disaster. Unfortunately, the food is below average. Most of it is thrown into the deep fryer and ready to go, but unfortunately, the price isn't right. The service was only semi-motivated. The damaged wooden steps at the entrance... We definitely won't be going back.

We were there again after years, we each ordered a burger which was also good and we also had cheeky fries which we only got a quarter of an hour after the burgers, somehow I don't understand the concept of the place, it's supposed to be an American diner, stop coloring your buns pink, it looks like construction foam, in the past you couldn't get a wheel on the ground on a Friday, today there were 3 tables occupied, my conclusion is there are much better restaurants in the Unna district

Approaching guests in the middle of their meal and asking them to get up from their table and pay is an absolute disgrace. Fearing that the guest might leave, the staff demands immediate payment. I've been to many restaurants, but I've never experienced anything like this. This is the restaurant and never again. The food is mediocre.

After not having eaten at this diner for at least 5-7 years, we invited a friend over for dinner to get a fresh perspective. We were not disappointed. Our meals (salmon, fajita, and veggie burger), which arrived at our table in a very short time after ordering digitally, were all incredibly delicious and worth every penny! The website for ordering and paying was very slow at times, but that was really the only downside to the evening. Overall, we were still thrilled! 😊👍🏼

We've been regular guests for years and always enjoy coming here. The staff are always very friendly and accommodating. Our dog always gets a bed and a bowl of water. The prices are great, and the atmosphere is fantastic!

The food wasn't that tasty. I had a burger with spare ribs and the whole burger had a bitter aftertaste and the burger in general tasted very strange. As a starter, there was a very small portion of onion rings and mozzarella sticks for 13€.

Sorry, but it's definitely overpriced for this quality. Why does the burger bun have to be red? Or was it pink? And if so, please mention it on the menu; it might be a good idea for Halloween. The burger bun was completely soggy, and the meat, etc., wasn't seasoned. It was really great there a few years ago, but we won't be going back.

The burgers here are truly delicious. The robot-shaped waitress is hilarious, and the ambiance is appropriate for a diner. It's a shame, however, that there seem to be regular staff shortages, as there are often horrendous wait times. Still, definitely recommended.

The food and ambiance are quite good. Prices are borderline, but you don't have to order a burger for 18.90. What's absolutely unacceptable—as has been mentioned here many times, but it doesn't seem to be improving—is the far too long wait time.

Absolutely fantastic experience! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting. The service was outstanding — friendly, fast, and very attentive. The food was simply top-notch: juicy meats, fresh sides, and every dish full of flavor. The presentation was great too, especially the mixed grill platter and the pulled pork burger with the red bun — both delicious and beautifully served. You can really tell they put care into every detail. Highly recommended for anyone who enjoys great food in a cozy setting!

We had a wonderful time here! The restaurant is decorated with a lot of American stuff, truly authentic. We didn’t wait long until the food arrived. You really get a bang for your buck: big portions, tasted terrific. The portions for the burgers are somewhat small in comparison, but they taste great and are still a good filling meal. The server guy was very friendly. Would definitely recommend going here!

Friendly staff, clean shop, delicious food.

We ordered two schnitzels with sauce and fries... what arrived was like something out of a bad movie. They were frozen cuts, like something from a frozen food store. About 150 grams, which also arrived raw and frozen on the plate. A teaspoon of sauce on top. When we returned the schnitzels to the waiter, his response was: "I don't think they can cook the schnitzel right." The second schnitzel was rock hard. We paid 52 euros with two small drinks. And then a robot drives around it for burgers... it doesn't fit the atmosphere at all. We were really disappointed, never again!!!!!

Really nice shop but that day we had to wait 90 minutes for food which was too long for me so I left again, it was the first time there, I always drove past there for years but never went in and now fate will just next time

Food tastes good, we had burgers and salad plates. When we were told when we ordered that as a guest we would have to pay in advance because we were afraid we would be cheaters, I found it very strange. Just because the staff doesn't have an eye on the terrace, it's very cheeky to indirectly insinuate the guests that they won't pay. We also ate outside a week before and there were no such “rules”. This also stopped us from ordering a second drink or even a coffee. On top of that, the chicken meat in my salad was charged extra, even though it was included in the dish. Nice rip off. The last time for me.

The burgers were good, the fries were tasty, the cole slaw didn't really impress us. The (present) service staff were very nice and tried hard, but obviously couldn't cope with the approximately 40% seat occupancy. A digital order is offered and you can pay the same way. However, a good 1 hour 45 minutes for two burgers and three side dishes seems too long given the price level. It's a shame, because the burgers were definitely impressive.

We used to love to come here on the way or returning from visiting the inlaws. Always reminded me of restaurants in the USA. I hadn’t been in several years. But was disappointed with the food this time. My daughter ordered the ribs and allthough the meat fell off the bone, it was somehow a bit dry, She didn’t like the flavour of the ribs. I tried them and had to agree with her. My boyfriend and his son also tried them and didn’t care for them. The burgers were ok. Had to trade half of mine with my daughter, because she didn’t want to eat the ribs. The quesedilla wasn’t great either. Would have expected some shredded chicken in there instead of cubed chicken. I felt let down by my experience. So much so that I will not stop by again.

Today we went to the diner again after a long time to have breakfast. Since we absolutely don't like pork, we ordered the English breakfast without bacon; the sausages that were offered with the breakfast were also made from pork. Which is completely legitimate and okay! When we asked if there was any alternative for us, the waitress (who was really nice) said that she would ask in the kitchen. After a short while she came back and said that there was no alternative solution. Although the menu offers fillet pieces of beef and also chicken... It's a shame that they didn't want to find a solution for us. We then ordered breakfast without any meat side dishes and still had to pay the full price for it. :/ We believe that customer-centric action looks different.

The food is very, very tasty, but also very inexpensive. The service is very friendly and shows interest in the customers. Unfortunately you have to wait a long time for the food, of course this also depends on the number of visitors. We had to wait more than 1 hour.

It's also nice every time, there's a coloring picture for the children plus pens to keep them busy and even without asking beforehand, the waiters come and ask if the children would like to paint something. Three of us went for lunch today and were actually very disappointed. Very overpriced, the cheese on the citizens wasn't even real cheese and the patties weren't even homemade. Sad about the prices. Arrived, ordered and left to eat after 30 minutes. Well, good luck with the concept anyway. Unfortunately we won't be coming back

Very good food and a pleasant atmosphere. The food we ordered was ready quickly and presented nicely. What was new for me was ordering food with your own cell phone using a QR code that you received from a waitress. The order page was clearly presented and the possible options for special requests were also given. You could also easily pay the bill on your cell phone. Of course, you could also do everything personally with the service person. The concept and of course the food convinced me. The only point of criticism: When you visit the restaurant for the first time, is the ease of finding it. You have to drive along a dimly lit path between Burger King and a gas station, which is partly overgrown and you actually only notice an old gas station or whatever and don't really suspect that the restaurant is hiding behind the curve. It wasn't signposted either, so you could immediately assume that it was hiding there.

The food was good. Large portions! The staff was very friendly. They also didn't make a fuss when we asked for a doggy bag. We just had to wait a very long time for our food. We had planned a full day and unfortunately it ran late.

We happened to be there today and found it very inviting from the outside. Unfortunately, we were disappointed without it being really full, so we waited almost 90 minutes for our food. The spare ribs, which are offered with a side dish of your choice, were completely missing. The waitress was quite overwhelmed and told us that she didn't know the menu. At the neighboring table there was a family with 3 children who were also very disappointed and discussed this loudly with a member of staff because they too had been waiting forever for their food. Unfortunately for us it was a complete failure as we would have been better off at McDonalds, a shame for the money

I think Connie's is quite tasty. You do have to wait quite a while for your food, but that's common practice in most restaurants these days. The service is friendly, the robot that serves the food is funny, and the atmosphere is great. The kids loved it too. So it totally deserves 5 stars ⭐️. 👍🏼

I can't understand the bad reviews either. Super nice service, the food was served quickly, the food was very good, the lemonade was delicious. Were there 10 years ago and we were completely satisfied then too.
