The food was delicious. The atmosphere was very appealing. The service was very friendly and attentive. Unfortunately, the music selection didn't quite match the ambiance.

The ambiance is nice. A classic American diner with typical decor. The waiters are friendly and reasonably attentive. However, most of the service is handled by a robot. Ordering is possible via QR code and smartphone. Objectively speaking, the food is decent and average. However, considering the exorbitant prices—sometimes €25 or more per burger when you add extras—it's absolutely unjustifiable. That's truly outrageous.

I was there two weeks ago and it tasted absolutely delicious; the portion was very large. I would definitely recommend it.

The food is brought to the table and filled, and that's it. Unfortunately, they require you to have your own mobile phone with you, and it's absolutely necessary for the ordering process. I much prefer the classic way of ordering with personal interaction and a regular menu. This wasn't for me. I found it too impersonal.

We went there in October after work. We were shown directly to our table with a QR code explanation, and we barely saw the waiter after that. The smash burger patty wasn't fresh but frozen, and quite dry. Then we ordered three small burgers: a tasteless cheeseburger, the Hotel Southwestern wasn't very spicy, and we forgot the chicken burger. I decided to get rid of it quickly because it wasn't chicken breast. Only the pulled pork burger was okay. Side dishes were extra and not cheap – €6.50 for Twister Fries. According to the menu, they were supposedly homemade... The ambiance was a mix of American style, wooden reindeer, and Halloween decorations. With all the stickers on the floor, it felt like it had just been through Covid. The atmosphere was a mix of American and Halloween decorations; it felt like it had just been through Covid. The best burger joint around. Excuse the expression, because this restaurant doesn't deserve the label "shack." But in my opinion, that's what it is. Always super friendly service and the food is simply top-notch!

Well, what can I say? You get very little food for a lot of money. The quality and taste were just so-so. The portion size was abysmal for the price. There's practically no service either. You order and pay online, and the food is brought by a robot. The wait from ordering to receiving the appetizers was 45 minutes, and then we waited another 45 minutes for the main course. We definitely can't recommend it and won't be visiting this restaurant again!

Great building (like a diner in the USA), amazing decor, lots to see and discover. The food isn't bad, but nothing special either. It's mostly made with frozen ingredients. The service was friendly. We were there on a Saturday evening (14 people), it was packed, and our server felt like she was handling two-thirds of the diner's business. That's way too much for one person. He was polite, and everything we ordered arrived. We would have liked to order more, and more often, but that wasn't possible because the servers were completely overwhelmed. A shame, it would have generated more revenue.

It felt like just one poor guy who had to take care of all the tables. Naturally, the service suffered. The pictures online (just look at the milkshake!) have absolutely nothing to do with the real thing. Something needs to be done about it.

Nice diner with polite staff. We started with a mixed starter (for 2 people) (but it's enough for 3) which was okay for the price. For our main course, we had two steak burgers with braised onions, cheese, etc. The meat was good, but unfortunately, the onions were only lukewarm and the cheese wasn't melted. Overall, the taste was okay to good. Our friend had a dog with a pretzel stick, but unfortunately, it was rock hard and dry. We complained to the staff, but they didn't offer a replacement. Overall, my impression was that it's worth a visit, but I think the price-performance ratio is excessive for some items. I'll come back and try it again.

The food was a disaster. The burger arrived lukewarm, and the bun was already half-scraped off the plate. The only good thing about the meal were the potato twisters we ordered. That was nothing! Far too expensive for far too little service! The service is rated as adequate. You order via a QR code and the food is delivered by a robot. Therefore, you have relatively little contact with the staff. I felt somehow "unnoticed." We had to wait a very long time for the food. From ordering to the starter, it was easily 30 minutes, and from the starter to the main course, more than 30 minutes. That's definitely too long. The restaurant was only at most one-third full at that time. The prices for the food and the taste are absolutely outrageous!!! Unfortunately, there's simply no way to beat the quality here. I can make any burger better on my gas grill. A specially ordered burger patty for a whopping €6.50!!!! was not put on my burger. Unfortunately, I only realized this after I'd already eaten half of it. Two slices of cheese or two slices of bacon for an extra €2 is simply way too expensive! In short, they charge a lot for very little service and quality! What bothered me personally was that you absolutely have to shower after your visit and put all your clothes in the washing machine. Your entire body smells so strongly of food and grease, it's like you've been standing next to the chef for five hours. That's really not nice! The only thing that's quite good is the ambiance. Unfortunately, this was my last visit to Connie's Diner. What a shame!

I used to go to Conny's Diner in Kamen quite often, but unfortunately, the quality has deteriorated. I find it particularly disappointing that the old beef patties have been replaced with simple smashburger patties, which I consider a clear step backward. Even little things like a fresh lemon in the Coke are missing these days, and they seem to be focusing more on quantity than quality. Although the service is still very friendly and the ambiance is impressive, I probably won't go there again until things improve. What a shame...

Reminds you a lot of America. Good food, the fries were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. They kept asking if you wanted anything else and if everything was okay. Everything was good, but the prices were high and the portions were small.

Two of us went to the restaurant and both had burgers and fries. The fries were really good, nice and crispy and floury. The sides were also tasty, and the burger was perfectly fine. So, the food was really good, but the price was a bit high for a burger and fries. The decor was really wild. Decorations everywhere, American signs, wooden penguins, and a large vase with fairy lights. It was more reminiscent of a Greek restaurant than an American diner. The bottom line: The food was great, but a bit too expensive, and the atmosphere wasn't quite right.

We were then told that it wasn't their fault, it was the industry that delivered it that way. Well, let's just leave it at that. It'll work for most people, since there are enough people passing through.

The restaurant is very modern; I was very impressed with the app for ordering and paying! The servers have plenty of time to properly attend to customers; they've clearly understood how to handle staff shortages. I haven't felt this comfortable in a restaurant for a long time. The ambiance reflects American flair, and the food is simply excellent. I'd definitely go back.

This won't work anymore. It used to be amazing, but now it's a joke. Tastes better at home. Portions are small, but expensive. And honestly, what's a service robot doing in an American restaurant? Maybe it's more appropriate for a Chinese restaurant. This robot makes a terrible tinkle while music blares from the speakers in the ceiling. We won't be going back to this restaurant. We wanted to spend a nice evening with our friends, but unfortunately it was annoying and a disaster 👎 . Right from the start, it was difficult to get drinks... 20 minutes later, they finally arrived. We waited over 90 minutes for the food, only to discover that one dish was completely wrong. We were told that they would sort it out with the kitchen, and after asking several times, the replacement food arrived after 45 minutes. We were all finished and my friend had to eat alone! It also took almost 30 minutes to reorder drinks! Not that they were tripping over each other behind the bar, we were sitting directly opposite!!! Unfortunately, the price of 29.90 euros for the spare ribs was not justified, far too much BBQ sauce and a lot of fat, unfortunately a very unfortunate evening, we will NOT be back.....

This is probably the low point of Connie's Dinner. There used to be exuberantly friendly customer service, prompt food preparation without long waits, servers who asked if everything was okay, and always had a smile on their faces. Typical American, in a way. Today, there's probably nothing to laugh about here. The kitchen and service are understaffed; a robot brings the food to your table, which you had to order yourself via QR code. The burgers were well-topped, and the burger bun was barely cut with a knife. For me, the worst diner I've ever been to.

Two of us were here on a Friday afternoon around 5 p.m. We had made a reservation, as it had always been difficult to get a table at this time before the pandemic. First impressions after the reopening: - It was very empty (the left side of the restaurant was closed off). - I think there was still Christmas decorations: wooden sculptures like fir trees and moose, as decorations in the outside restaurant in July? - Nice music was playing, and the service was very friendly and accommodating. - There were one or more cat/waiter robots "working" in the restaurant. A nice and fun idea in itself. However, the music there is different than in the restaurant. I found that rather distracting. We also received our food and drinks from a server. The use of these devices was a bit incomprehensible to me. However, we did notice that many parents were coming by with children. - The burgers had pink/red buns? The reason is unclear to me. -The ribs are no longer drenched in sauce, which was a positive. - The menu has been slightly modified. - The food wasn't exceptional, which would justify another visit with a longer round trip. - The prices are also reasonable. Conclusion: If we're ever in the area (for example, a visit to the aforementioned furniture store), we would stop by for a snack. However, I wouldn't come specifically with friends or acquaintances.

We attended dinner as a family in the evening. The wait times are very long to get a table and for the food and drinks to arrive at the table. Yes, there's this funny robot that drives around and delivers the food, but with four people, it's already overloaded, and a server has to support the vehicle. The server who served us was polite and helpful. Unfortunately, there were far too few servers. It's probably similar in the kitchen. From ordering the food to delivery at the table, it took more than 45 minutes. After guests paid and left the restaurant, it took almost an hour for the table to be cleared and new people to be seated, even though there were many people waiting at the entrance. The corn on the cob was unfortunately overcooked, but the ribs were good, and the meat came off easily. The men's restroom was clean, but the faucet handles looked to have been missing for a while.

You're seated and supposed to be given a QR code to order. This was forgotten, and only done half an hour later, upon request. Then, while ordering, you noticed that some of the dishes were no longer available. After that, you waited over an hour for the food. The food itself wasn't anything special for the price. The seating on the benches is very tight. You don't need to go there again.

They had pink burgers, and the personal touch of the diner is gone. Now robots drive to the table and bring the food... you order via your phone. I don't know, I didn't feel comfortable there today.

The schnitzel was obviously a frozen product and, with a small portion, quite small – for the price of around €14.50, I honestly expected more, both in terms of quality and quantity. The fries had to be ordered separately and cost an additional €4.50 – bringing the total price for a regular meal to almost €19. For this price range, the portion was significantly too small. The accompanying salad was okay, but nothing special. Overall, the value for money wasn't right for me. The ingredients didn't seem freshly prepared, but more like they came from the freezer, which is disappointing given the prices. Conclusion: Friendly service, but small portions, mediocre quality, and rather steep prices. It's a shame – there's still room for improvement here.

This restaurant was the first one I ate with my friend. For nostalgic reasons we come back every few years. Our last time was quite a while ago. The interior is definitely reminiscent of a diner, but unlike before there is quieter background music playing, which I found to be very pleasant. This time I chose fajita with beef rump and my friend chose ribs, wings and a side dish of potatoes. As I glanced past, I found the burgers at the next table to be much more appealing than before. My fill-your-own fajita was a really generous portion, the meat was fried medium rare as requested and the small wraps came in a container so they stayed warm. I really liked my food. I had a lot of fun and it tasted really good with the plenty of vegetables, the delicious meat and the sauces. The sauces are certainly a finished product. You should know, but I already knew that. He really liked my friend's ribs and ordered them there several times. Very tender, good marinade and overall happy with the portin. He ordered a Dr. Pepper Cherry to drink and here, as is usual in the USA, it is served in a can. For dessert I had a piece of New York cheesecake and my friend had a banana shake. I thought the cheesecake was great. A really nice vanilla note, creamy, not an exaggerated cookie base, but enough that it was the perfect component. I really didn't need the cream with it - neither the type of cream, nor any cream at all with cheesecake, but you're not forced to eat it. He also liked my friend's milkshake - he's a big milkshake fan anyway. The portions of both desserts were such that we could barely fit them in. The service was really excellent yesterday. Fast, super friendly and really accommodating. We let him know that later in the form of tips and words. I think the good service staff are always welcome to hear that when they do a great job. Overall, it was really another delicious evening. We were satisfied with the food, had fun and remembered our first evening there. If you know what to expect there and correctly classify the location so that there is a ready-made sauce, then you can really spend a nice evening here. The whole ambience is very harmonious, the food was more than just solid, the service was good and we really recommend it, especially with groups. We briefly felt like we were in a 2000s US teen movie on our first date over milkshakes and it's exactly this harmonious feeling that keeps us coming back every few years.

The food is fine. Quite expensive. The atmosphere is mediocre, and the seating is cramped at the fixed tables with benches.

The food was good, but nothing extraordinary—solid fare, as you'd expect. The service was all the better for it: the server was very friendly and attentive, and we didn't have to wait long for our food. The ambiance is the same as always—it seems like not much has changed in about 15 years. That's not necessarily a bad thing. Overall, a down-to-earth restaurant that's definitely worth visiting every now and then if you're nearby and just want to eat well—no big surprises, but also no disappointments.

American Style Burger Restaurant

It used to be much better, the veggie burger was rather soggy, even Mäckes can do better. Portions were okay. Update July 2025: I spontaneously went there with my wife on my birthday. The vegan burger was quite tiny for a diner, about the size of a Junior Whopper. But the portion of American fries was very large. My Caesar wrap was OK, the fries OK, but quite salty. Overall, though, not satisfactory for the price. I ordered a Virgin Margherita to celebrate. Who the hell garnishes the rim of a glass with chili flakes and doesn't write it down? They reacted nicely to my surprise and took it off the bill. The food came quickly and was much better than before.

Unfortunately, it's nothing like what it used to be. The food is average at best: brown lettuce, bones in the burger, dirty glasses, faucets in the men's restrooms incomplete, air conditioning broken, etc. After a "not so good" visit a few weeks ago, this will definitely be our last visit. I've been going here since I was a kid and I'm just incredibly disappointed by the substandard development.

We waited over an hour for our food. When we politely asked, we were simply told, "There's only one chef, so it'll take a while." After another 30 minutes, the food finally arrived – a completely excessive wait for a normal dinner. As a small compensation, we simply asked for a beer each on the house, which the waiter initially agreed to. A short time later, he suddenly said only two small beers, nothing more was allowed. We even accepted that, gritted teeth. But then another waiter (presumably the boss's daughter) came over and said that even that wasn't possible; we could have a small loaf of bread or cake instead. Seriously? When we responded, annoyed, "Then I don't know who's paying our bill," the first waiter came back, completely upset, with the words, "Hey, who says that? What's up with that?" – instead of apologizing for the terrible service, we were yelled at. In the end, of course, we paid because we just wanted to leave – and then we were asked if we wanted to tip. Absolutely outrageous. We'll definitely never come back here. Bad service, poor organization, inappropriate communication with guests. An evening full of frustration instead of enjoyment.

We've been there a few times. The food is generally quite good, but the service gets worse every year. The staff is extremely friendly, but clearly overwhelmed. You have to wait a very long time for the food. And despite ordering via app, things are often forgotten during delivery. The "starter" concept is also largely unknown, as starters are brought with the main course. You could simply order the main course later, but who does that when you wait over an hour? Given the prices, you'd expect more.

A very welcoming lunch stop on the way to your vacation. Very friendly, multilingual staff, decor for US fans, a little robot "server" that delights the kids. Delicious hamburgers, homemade ice cream "Emma the Mu", a good place to avoid the traditional roadside restaurants.

Unfortunately, we waited for over two hours and then left. It was nothing, and we were by no means the only ones this happened to there today.
