L'Osteria Kamen in Kamen

The food was good and tasty as always, however, it took about 20 minutes before anyone even came to take our drink order. The place was packed, and when we ordered food, we were told it might take a while… and it did. After a whopping 75 minutes, the pizza finally arrived. And I mean a pizza. A dish that can be prepared in less than 10 minutes. Unfortunately, one of our pizzas was also a bit burnt. Overall, a mixed experience. The service staff were friendly and tried their best, but at times they were running around frantically and disorganized. Perhaps we'll have better luck next time, and it won't be so crowded.

Very family-friendly! A children's menu with crayons and coloring pencils is brought directly to the table. There's also a small play area. The food is delicious and freshly prepared. The staff is friendly and attentive.

We were there today, unfortunately very unsatisfactory. Because we had ordered an appetizer, we had to wait another hour for our food. They said that if you order an appetizer, your order gets pushed further and further back. After asking several times, nothing happened. Then we decided to leave. We didn't have to pay for our drinks, which was a nice apology, but we left hungry.

My husband and I have eaten at various L'Osteria restaurants several times, but I have to say that Ramona has become our favorite waitress. Even on busy evenings, she is always polite and incredibly friendly, which is why we keep coming back.

Delicious pizzas and attentive service. The pizza arrived quickly after ordering. The desserts are also highly recommended! Unfortunately, they were out of cola. That was a real shame and should have been better organized. Some of the chairs are quite hard and uncomfortable. But the restaurant itself is beautiful.

This was my third visit, and unfortunately, nothing has changed. The pasta portions (Gnocchi Gorgonzola) have been too small every time, and today was truly the worst. There were seriously eleven gnocchi on my plate. I counted them because I couldn't believe it at first. The food tastes really great, but for the price, I simply expect more than a tiny portion. After three attempts, I'm honestly quite annoyed. It's a shame; I really gave the restaurant several chances.

The waiter came after 50 minutes and said, "Sorry, everyone wants a pizza (in a pizzeria)... it's going in the oven now." We've now been waiting for 70 minutes. Never again. This is not what you call "a nice meal out."

The pizza was delicious, freshly prepared, and of good quality. The staff was also friendly and always attentive, which we greatly appreciated. Unfortunately, due to the high volume of guests, there were longer waiting times. Two pasta dishes were served significantly later than expected and weren't quite hot when they arrived. Of course, this can happen during busy periods. Overall, the visit was still enjoyable, and we would gladly return to the restaurant.

Having such motivated and cheerful employees on New Year's Eve means you, as the boss, must be doing a lot of things right. Sahra was fantastic, motivated, and incredibly attentive. The food was, as always, way too much (pizza), but very tasty. And now we wish you all a happy New Year; you've certainly earned your evening off.

We were there today. Unfortunately, it was a complete disaster. We waited two hours for our food, which then tasted bland. The two stars are only because of our server, who managed to salvage the situation somewhat. Thanks to Leon, but unfortunately, we'll never be back.

We went to L'Osteria today. I've been to Paderborn many times, so I suggested to my family, who live in Kamen, that we go here for my father's birthday. I wish I hadn't! There were five of us and a toddler. The first table was so dark (despite our reservation) that we needed our phone flashlights to read the menu. I asked for a different table, but the waiter wasn't very friendly. He then showed us another one, but it was occupied. Finally, a different waitress came and gave us a different table. Our food, or rather part of it, arrived after more than an hour. We ordered four pizzas, and the pasta came 20 minutes later! It was understandable that it took a while, but everything should have arrived together. Two pizzas were completely cold and tasteless, and two were lukewarm. The pasta was also only lukewarm. Everything tasted very bland. One pizza had the wrong toppings. Our waitress was very nice; she took one pizza off the bill, but that wasn't what we wanted at all! We just wanted a good, hot meal! Just like I know it from Paderborn! Yes, it was full, but then you shouldn't keep trying to cram in even more guests if this is the result! At several tables around us, food was being sent back because it was cold or undercooked. Taking longer is no problem, waiting is no problem, but then please deliver the food!

This wasn't the first time we'd been disappointed... Our table reservation was for 6:30 pm, and the appetizer, which unfortunately was only partially available, arrived at 7:45 pm. We never got to the main course, as we left L'Osteria at 9:25 pm because our food still hadn't arrived. The organization was absolutely terrible, and even a very nice and helpful waiter couldn't salvage it!

Unfortunately, we've had to wait up to two hours for our food several times now, despite having a reservation. The staff are very friendly and try their best; I really feel sorry for them that they have to deal with this terrible organization. Our conclusion after several attempts, since Kamen is so conveniently close: L'Osteria Stadtkrone-Ost or Dortmund-Mitte are always a good choice, but Kamen is unfortunately not recommended... at least not if you're hungry!

Very tasty pizza, you can also order it in two halves with different toppings. My daughter and I shared one. The staff is very friendly and hardworking.

The restaurant belongs to a chain, all of which have a similar layout. The atmosphere is cozy and the seating is quite pleasant. The food is okay. I had spinach ravioli, which unfortunately were a bit over-seasoned.

He was always on top of things, present without being intrusive, and fulfilled all our requests quickly and reliably. His expert advice on menu selection was particularly appreciated – honest, helpful, and very pleasant. Ikram perfectly complemented the service: warm, dedicated, and always with a smile. She was extremely courteous, regularly checking to see if everything was alright and making sure we had everything we needed. Her open and positive personality instantly created a welcoming atmosphere. Together, Hassan and Ikram form a strong team that offers top-notch service. Friendliness, professionalism, and genuine hospitality are clearly their priorities. A big compliment to both of them – this is exactly what perfect restaurant service should be. We are L'Osteria fans. Unfortunately, for some reason only in Kamen, the pizza has now been lukewarm at best on our second visit. (This couldn't be attributed to excessive customer volume.) On this visit, we complained very politely. The pizza was then simply put back in the oven. Even on the first delivery, it looked completely dried out. So, we refused the pizzas on the second delivery. Round three – by which time our son had long since finished his meal. The pizza was also extremely thin on this visit, and they used a lot of flour, so the taste experience was not great – nor was it on the third delivery. The friendly waiter then offered us a free cappuccino. This too was lukewarm at best. The waiter was visibly embarrassed and promised a hot cappuccino. Unfortunately, for whatever reason, it wasn't hot either. We've never experienced this in Paderborn or Kiel. Therefore, only 2 stars for the food, but 5 stars for service and ambience.

The pizza was truly excellent – ​​fresh ingredients, flavorful dough, and simply delicious. It's clear the kitchen prioritizes quality, which made our visit a very positive experience. However, the restaurant was quite noisy, making conversation a bit difficult at times. Slightly better acoustics would enhance the overall experience. Nevertheless, the restaurant is perfectly suited for a company party. The great atmosphere, delicious food, and friendly service ensure a pleasant experience. All in all, a very successful visit – with just a little room for improvement regarding the noise level. Yannnic is a very nice and friendly waiter, quick and efficient!

The welcome was very pleasant and friendly. We were shown to our table, and that's where the experience started to go downhill, at least for me. The table was dirty, with some herbs and other bits of debris on it—okay, that can happen. We placed our order and watched the activity around us. Some people left, others arrived. The odd thing was that at least five people arrived after us but had their food before us. After a couple arrived 20 minutes after us but had their food before us, I asked if our order had been forgotten, since the guests at the three tables after us had already received their meals. Our waiter immediately became rude, saying that was impossible, that it could take up to an hour for food, but he could check with the kitchen. He went to the kitchen, came back, and said it would be another five minutes. He asked if we wanted to wait longer, if I just wanted to pay for the drinks as I had previously stated, or if we still wanted the food. I said we still wanted the food. Then he went to the next table to take the payment and complained about me so loudly that other people could hear. Our food arrived afterward, but my pasta was cold—not warm or anything, just freezing cold. I left it. The waiter saw it, asked if it didn't taste right, and I said it was cold. He took it away, put it down, and brought it back later, but it was still cold. No one asked me again. Finally, my napkin was left on the plate, and my husband was asked if I wanted to take the pasta with me. We used to enjoy eating there and were always satisfied. We haven't been to Kamen in a while since we no longer live there, but after this experience, we won't be going back to that branch. We'd rather drive a few kilometers further, because when I go to a restaurant, I want to enjoy my meal!

The decor is really nice. My only problem is the wait time; waiting 60 minutes for a mediocre pizza is asking too much. Otherwise, the staff are super friendly and there's a nice atmosphere, even if it is a bit noisy.

I went to L'Osteria today for a girls' date, and what can I say? It was another wonderful evening. The food is as delicious as ever, the value for money is excellent, but the service is world-class. We were served by the lovely Sarah, and I've never seen such a friendly, attentive, and cheerful server. She practically reads your mind, goes out of her way to find the perfect dish, and perhaps even enhances it with a special topping. She even gave me the perfect drink recommendation. Although we live in Dortmund, where there's also an L'Osteria, we make a special trip to Kamen every time – and for good reason. The service here is simply exceptionally attentive. I believe everyone who works there is friendly and well-mannered.

We had brunch today with 14 people. It was incredibly delicious and very plentiful, and when we realized there weren't any vegan options, they immediately took care of it and whipped up a delicious vegan pizza. Everything was replenished promptly, and the owner was very customer-oriented. The staff was very attentive and polite. I can highly recommend it. A small tip: have larger groups sit at a table with chairs. That way, no one has to get up when someone else wants to get food. ;) Otherwise, it was fantastic! 👍🏻 Keep it up! 😉

5:30 pm was the perfect time, plenty of parking, and it wasn't too noisy yet. We had pizza and spaghetti, both absolutely delicious. Prices had increased quite a bit. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Visits 1 (10 people) and 2 (4 people) were very good. Visit 3 (2 people) was awful: The restaurant was only a quarter full, and the staff was quite friendly. The server was apparently new, which is why she had to take our order twice. She only realized this after half an hour. The drinks arrived quickly. Unfortunately, only one dish arrived; the second one arrived 40 minutes later, after we had asked for the bill, and it was completely cold. We refused to pay, at which point they informed us about the new tipping system. The server had changed in the meantime. My time is too valuable for that. I definitely won't be coming back.

Everything was great in itself, but it was my first and last time there. My girlfriend and I were still feeling terrible the next day. We had severe stomach pains and were spending all our time on the toilet. Never again.
