Chai & Coffee indisches Street-Food in Köln

Unfortunately, only the ambience was convincing. Only 3 of 6 items ordered arrived as requested. Instead of wine we got grappa and after we sent it back, the wine never came to our table. The appetizer we ordered was completely forgotten. Coriander was added to one of the main dishes although we asked that it be left out. The plate was carried back to the kitchen and returned to the table 3 minutes later. Apparently they just picked out some coriander flakes and didn't make anything new. Of course, this had a very negative effect on the taste. The butter naan I ordered was served as garlic naan. I cannot recommend the restaurant.

Below average food not recommended

Very average Indian restaurant, the only best thing is the Indian snacks in the menu. The main course meals are not very authentic. I was surprised that the veggies used are also frozen carrots and so. Also the hospitality is very dry and not friendly.

Ah, it's my delight: there are chats here!!! And they taste great and are ok in terms of price, there are no frills like pomegranate seeds. As already described, the main courses vary in execution, but are mostly still very tasty. Love that they season their rice lightly with cloves/cardamom and are stingy with the coriander, but still chop it so finely that it's almost enough. Today they prepared some coke masala for me, thank you for that ;-) Service is authentically unobtrusive.

I had Pani Puri and Samosa Channa here. The food is tasty, good service, amazing ambience and great value for money.

We visited last night. The food was authentic, we tried Pani puri, lamb kabab, chicken tikka masala, garlic naan and mango Lassi. Everything was delicious, definitely recommended.

If you are going just to try snacks here then don’t. You will be disappointed.

Very nice and tasty authentic punjabi dishes. I enjoy the food and they're not so expensive. Card is accepted if the price is above 10 euro. Their Samosa chana is highly recommended.

The staff is very friendly and you can charge your cell phone on site. There is a good selection of food and it is very good value. The service is also quick, which means you don't have to wait long. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting. I can only recommend it and will happily go there again.

We ordered Samosa, chat and pani puri. All the dishes were amazing. The taste was authentic which we could not find in many Indian restaurants in Germany.

Went there on a hunch and am congratulating myself for a good find. It does look somewhat modest but cannot hide the underlying tones of aurhenticity in a restaurant-like set-up - all of it at an affordable price! Nice find!

Nice place by the window, very tasty food, we had lamb once and vegetarian once. Both meals were very tasty and you could taste the individual ingredients very well, which I consider to be a fine art of cuisine. The price was very reasonable for this quality and the staff was excellent. I will happily recommend this restaurant to my friends. And I would love to come here again.

Nice Ambient and very nice service. We could ask for naan instead of rice which had also been wonderfully tasty, fluffy and buttery. Would Always recommend this place for a Lunchbreak and a Cup of chai. Didn't ask for any Kind of Spice Level thus it was european spicy ... but i am confident that will be adjusted as the meal was freshly made - so just ask for it.

Very tasty samosas! Had samosas, samosa chana and mango lassi. Great seasoning and matching chutneys. Priced completely OK. Atmosphere more snack/snack bar style. Great for a small lunch or something similar. Gladly again!

Chats lovers should try this place. Loved Pani puri, Pani was best. We tried roti,bhindi, channa aloo, gobi aloo and kahdai paneer, everything delicious.

Great ambiance with indian music in background. Had aloo paratha dahi ballay and masala chai. Everything was perfectly authentic and tasty.

We went there as a group of 4 adults and 1 kid, for dinner. We ordered variety of paneer dishes and dal makhani. Can't tell you enough, these were made in most authentic way. The restaurant deserves more credit and accolades for the hard work and for the food prepared with care!

We have had the samosa chaat and papad chaat, both of which are excellent. The sitting arrangement and ambiance are good. In the past two years, I haven't tried this kind of dish in Germany.

Der Imbiss bietet den schlechtesten Service, den ich je erlebt habe. Esse eigentlich gerne hier, aber der Service ist dermaßen unprofessionell und schlecht, dass ich den Laden nicht mehr besuchen werde. Extrem langsam - achten null auf die Gäste!!!

Finger weg von hier, service 0 Mann muss stundenlang auf Essen warten, Kellnerin schmeißt essen auf dem Tisch so als wären wir Hunde, ich habe im mein Leben nie so schlechte service erlebt. NIE WIEDER

Essen war sehr gut aber nicht für Personen geeignet die Schärfe nicht vertragen (es hat ganz schön gebrannt auch bei nicht scharf gelisteten Gerichten)

Its a good place near neumarkt to drop by and enjoy a cup of chai and some decent chaats. I have visited this place 3-4 times now and pretty good food. Service is decent, vibe is decent as well.

We love to know new places and we went to this Indian place this Friday. We all know that the Indian food is really spicy (even if you tell them not to do it! 😅🤭🌶️) Our plates were super tasty but a bit too much spicy and the gentle lady offer us yogurt to make it softer. MY PLATE WAS DELICIOUS but I try the yogurt anyway! For my friend was really too much so the lady made a new plate for her. Really sweet. THANKS!

They are serving pakoras, samosas etc. by reheating them in microwave. Highly disappointed from a standard of restaurant!! All the snacks looses its crisp by reheating in microwave. It is tastier and economical to buy such snacks from nearby Asian shops. Never again!!

Super tasty snacks and amazing masala tea!

We ordered Butter chicken, Bhindi and Shahi Paneer with Rotis, all of these were super good in taste. We loved it. I would say authentic North Indian taste. The only thing is they only accept german debit card.

Geschmacklich wirklich nicht schlecht. Aber ich finde es wird an der falschen Stelle gespart. Wenig Chicken in der Soße und bei Hunger relativ kleine Portion. Außerdem ist das Huhn nicht so soft und zerfällt wie bei anderen Restaurants. Dazu recht lange Wartezeit. Aber wie gesagt, durchaus lecker und alles nicht so wild.

Authentisches indisches Restaurant,mit guten Preisen, leckeren Gerichten und größeren Portionen. Besser als darauf schicke machende "Ginti" neben an.

Wer sein Geld ins Wasser werfe will sollte hier essen ! Es schmeckt nicht und es ist zu überteuert , als würde es ein Nobel Restaurant sein . Das einzig positive war die nette Kellnerin !

Ein neutrales Restaurant, die Bedienung war auch neutral und das Essen war lecker aber nicht sehr viel Fleisch. Allerdings war es für das Mittagsmenü eine gute und preiswerte Portion.

I ordered Pani Puri, an absolute favourite of mine (and not that easy to find in Cologne). This was an explosion of yum, a really good mix of warming and fresh flavours and lovely, crunchy and soft textures, plus an undeniable and addictive little kick of chilli. I will definitely order this dish again.

Bisher einer der leckersten Indisch-Lieferdienste in Köln. Garlic Naan auch sehr lecker. Unscheinbar, aber authentisch!

The restaurant serves very tasty and close to authentic food. I cannot say it is completely authentic but it tastes good. The prices are also reasonable. I have ordered paneer kadai and dhai sev puri and mango lassi. Paneer kadai plate was tasty. Dhai sev puri is excellent and better than which I ate at a Indian grocery store. But Mango lassi was served with some jeera/ masala powder garnished/ spilled in it. If that wasn’t done, it would be great. I personally donot like it in mango lassi and it can taste good in plain lassi. People who like it can have it with the powder. If you donot like it as me, please let them know in advance (free tip :P). The one star less is because of mango lassi. The ambience was totally good. The people who served were very kind, polite and can speak in English, Hindi and German. It is very close to Neumarkt station.

Love it for their indian tea and paratha. Staff is always very friendly and place us well kept. I have tried their Indian snacks and paneer curries and they all have so far been really good value for money. Gives me a taste of home so drop by there whenever we are in vicinity, soecially for Asian groceries.

A nice, cosy place for Indian chats and North Indian food. Must try place in Cologne for a casual eat out.

Qualität des Essens variiert mal lecker mal versalzen oder extrem überzuckert. ( 5-6 mal bisher besucht) Speisen sind nicht immer frisch. Der Service ist etwas schleppend. Das Frühstück ist köstlich. Nach 12 Uhr sind das eher fertig Speisen die aufgewärmt werden. Getränke sind auch sehr lecker. Aber auf das Essensangebot würde Ich eher verzichten. Die location ist zweckgemäß eingerichtet.

Leckeres Essen ,nette Bedienung. Das einzige woran ich zu meckern habe ist ,das fast alle Gerichte frittiert sind,es were nett wenn es etwas Gesundes gäbe. zb:Eine kleine Auswahl vegetarische Currys,die ihr vorher vorbereitet. ps:Mit diesem Curry könntet ich ein gutes Mittags Angebot machen,wie zb:Curry des Tages (Vegetarisch) 6-8€ mit Reis.
