Unmöglichk Jägerschnitzel bestellt und bekommen, haben wir einen pressschnitzel mit einer sosse, also keinerlei Pilze, die Pommes. Die waren so hart, dass mein Mann, die nicht essen konnte. Die Rechnung war bombastisch, also für ein jägerschnitzel. Ein kleines schnitzelchen mit halt Kroketten und Pommes. Dazu eine Cola und zwei Bier 48 € ist ja echt wahnsinnig. Der Kellner ist nicht auf unsere Reklamation eingegangen und das finde ich persönlich schon sehr frech. Wenn ich einen jägerschnitzel bestelle, möchte ich ein Schnitzel haben mit Pilze und nicht mit irgendeiner bratensosse. Die Pommes sind zweimal in die friteuse gelandet, daher waren sie ungeniessbar. Vom Preis möchte ich mal gar nicht reden. Es wurde die Mayonnaise mit 1 € berechnet, die wir aber haben stehen lassen, da mein Mann ja die Pommes nicht essen konnte. Also Preis ist nicht nachgelassen worden. Es wurde alles voll berechnet. Also das passiert in einen anderen Lokal glaube ich nicht. Ich weiss es aber nicht, da ich das erste Mal so reingefallen bin. Nie wieder Mexx PS. Komme übrigens aus Hattingen dieses Lokal werde ich in keinster Weise weiterempfehlen

There were very few rolls and croissants, the rolls were still frozen in the middle. The scrambled eggs were cold. The selection of sausage and cheese was very small. I think the price-performance ratio is no longer right. Very unfortunate

Leider von uns ein ungenügend: Wir haben Cocktails 🍹 bestellt, die diese Bezeichnung nicht verdient haben: Es gab kleine Wassergläser (seit wann gibt es Cocktails in kleinen Wassergläsern?!?!), bis oben mit Eis gefüllt. Der anti-alkoholische Cocktail enthielt extrem viel Zucker, der alkoholische hatte Erdbeerpüree zugesetzt, welches nur aus Körnern bestand. Dazu war der Preis völlig unverhältnismäßig hoch. Wir kommen nicht mehr wieder - aber es gibt genug andere schöne Gastronomie in Hattingen, die sich lohnt!!!

If we had been told this beforehand, our selection would have been different. On that day the price-performance ratio was not right. Too bad.

The breakfast buffet was no longer the same as it was about 1 year ago. Replenishing scrambled eggs, rolls, croissants...took too long. Slices of cheese were cut so thin that you could see through them and already looked unappetizing due to the temperatures. And with such small slices of sausage and cheese, you don't have to cut through the slices again. We will definitely visit Café Mexx again, but not for the breakfast buffet.

We had to wait half an hour for our Caesar salads and they were bad and relatively expensive: whole, very tough chicken fillets, strange sticks of dough instead of croutons and Parmesan cheese in three large pieces, which you then had to laboriously cut up yourself, as well as cubes of ham Ready-made packaging that had far too dominant a taste. The bruschetta was good though. The service was friendly.

The staff was very kind. The service was generally impeccable, the prices reasonable and the breakfast buffet rich. We also really liked both the interior and exterior of the shop. We highly recommend it to anyone in the town of Hattingen or the wider area.

I have been a guest here about 5 times in the last 4 years. Some time ago I had a delicious salmon burger for lunch that was good value for money. The atmosphere inside is rustic yet modern. You can sit outside in the idyllic old town, which is particularly beautiful in the evenings. In 2020 you could also drink a non-alcoholic cocktail for from 6 euros. It now starts at 7.90 euros and goes up to 9.50 euros. When we recently stopped in at 8:45 p.m. and asked if there were still waffles available as stated on the menu, we answered in the affirmative. So ordered a waffle with ice cream and cherries. The drinks we ordered (latte machiato and spritzer) were there after 5 minutes. The waffle then took another 25 minutes. It was then only lukewarm. Reason for the delay: The waffle iron had to be heated up first. The waitress also responded very late to the request for the bill. On evenings when the Mexx is only moderately busy, I wouldn't come here again. I hope you improve the quality of service a bit and regain traction with non-alcoholic cocktail prices.

The pasta cost 18€.. when the plate arrived I thought it was a joke, a small portion of which you couldn't get enough - and the pasta didn't taste good at all, unfortunately there was a lack of everything. It's a shame for the money - I expected much better for the price.

I've been to Cafe Mexx Hattingen several times. After what we were served yesterday I will never visit the store again. The food was anything but fresh. The carelessly served chicken schnitzel, gratinated with cheese, was probably in the kitchen for a few days. It was hard, chewy, not even really warm (over-baked!!), peaches and sauce from a can... everything together was simply outrageous in terms of taste and appearance. The other dish was very similar - simply made lukewarm and thrown on the table. I say: adios amigos!!!

Nice atmosphere, we were there for the breakfast buffet at around 10 a.m. and unfortunately had to wait 25 minutes for new rolls and scrambled eggs. Free sparkling wine and juice were promised, but the sparkling wine was already empty when we arrived and was also sold after 40 min not refilled. There were also shards on the floor that were only removed after 20 minutes and after several guests had already stepped on them.

We had brunch there. My stepfather celebrated his proud 87th birthday there and it was a really beautiful morning. The employees were very friendly, attentive and also showed a sense of humor. The breakfast was sufficient and was always refilled. We were all very satisfied and received a very friendly welcome. The price is also great, but there is a delicious selection on offer. Coffee is not included in the price, which I personally don't think is a bad thing at all. But orange juice and I think sparkling wine, if anyone wants something sparkling early in the morning 😅. So we'll be back and my mom will celebrate her birthday there too 🥳

It was our first time there, we sat outside, the tables were very clean, which made us very happy, even though it was busy. The two young waiters were very friendly and our order came quite quickly. The plates were lovingly prepared. My partner had the Argentinian rump steak and was very happy with his steak. I had the cordon bleu and can't complain, the only thing was maybe a few more mushrooms in the sauce, but that's complaining at a high level. Gladly again.

We would love to give 0 stars but unfortunately this is not possible. To put it bluntly, the shop is a nice snack bar. The food tastes like fat and flavor enhancers and gives you a nice stomach ache afterwards. I can only confirm the many bad reviews and find it quite sad that employees are now hired to give 5 stars in order to keep up appearances. All in all, it's just sad that the many criticisms are not taken to heart and an improvement is made.

I went there with a friend for the breakfast buffet. The selection of food was okay and tasty. However, sometimes you had to wait for rolls. I found the waiter a bit inattentive.

We were there yesterday, Sunday, for the Hattinger Spring Festival at around 12:10 p.m. Our drinks came very quickly after placing the order. In addition to two drinks, we ordered a portion of fries for our little offspring. After a good 20 minutes I asked about our order. As I said, it was just a portion of fries for one child. The waiter just said that other guests were there before us and that these orders would only be processed. Our order should come soon. After 35 minutes we finally got a portion of fries for our child for €5.20 I can understand that the food is prepared in a certain order, but you could have added a single portion of fries for a child in between or simply made a little more for the dishes with fries that left the kitchen. While we were waiting, we were sitting outside next to the entrance, an employee who obviously didn't work in the service area appeared and said very negative things about the guests from the previous evening. Likewise, his language was also very inappropriate. There will be no more visits from our side, as family-friendliness is unfortunately not very important.

Food was very tasty, service was nice. However, very small portions for the price. We paid just under €40 for 2 drinks and 2 dishes and the portions really weren't much. It's a shame, because otherwise it's very tasty.

Wir waren leider sehr enttäuscht. Ein sehr netter Laden von innen, aber das Personal ist leider nicht sehr kompetent. Ich hatte ein Haar im Getränk, danach haben wir bei der Bestellung die Falsche Pommes erhalten, sowie einen Salat statt den bestellten Burger bekommen. Der Pulled Pork Burger war extrem klein, vor allem für knapp 14€ erwarte ich, dass kein Scheiblettenkäse auf dem Burger ist. Auch die zu den Pommes extra bestellte Mayo kam nie an. Wir mussten mindestens eine halbe Stunde warten um weitere Getränke bestellen zu können. Alles in allem leider nicht weiterzuempfehlen.

Also nach ca. 15/20 Minuten wurde die Bestellung aufgenommen. Jetzt sind weitere 40/50 warten kam das Essen. Die Sauce Hollandaise schmeckt nach Kunst. Die Kroketten sind nicht durch und zurückgehen lassen bedeutet wieder warten? Das Personal ist nett und freundlich, aber die gehen gemütlich und ohne Orientierung durch den Laden.

Es war wie immer sehr gut beim Frühstücksbuffet. Ihr müsst nur irgendwann mal die Sitzflächen erneuern da diese doch erhebliche Risse aufweisen.

Super Ambiente, sehr nettes und zuvorkommendes Personal, Super Essen ich empfehle herzlichst den Pulled Pork Burger wenn man ein Fan von pulled Pork ist. Persönliche Testnote ist eine 1,3 mein einziger Mangel Punkt ist die Zugänglichkeit für Menschen im Rollstuhl, es gibt nur Treppen.

Tja. Café Mexx. Es war ok. Der Service war etwas lahm weil keiner so richtig drauf geachtet hat wenn die Gläser leer waren. Das Essen war ok. Nichts was einen begeistert, aber das war auch nicht die Erwartung. Klassischer Fehler zb bei einem Jägerschnitzel: man gießt die Soße nie über ein paniertes Schnitzel. Die Panade wird weich und labbrig. Alles halb so wild. Man kann da durchaus hingehen wenn man keine zu hohen Erwartungen hat. Aber die Location ist toll 😊

5 Sterne, weil es nicht besser geht. Getränke und Essen sind von höchster Qualität und können lediglich vom Serviceteam überboten werden. Auch wenn es manchmal hektisch zugeht, merkt man ihnen den Stress nicht an. Tolle Atmosphäre und ein schönes Stück Altstadt-Feeling.

Unfreundliches und unfähigen Personal. Bestellungen kamen falsch und wurden auch nicht korrigiert. Man fühlt sich nicht willkommen und kriegt dumme Sprüche wenn man freundlich darauf hinweist, dass die Bestellung falsch war oder man seit mehren Minuten versucht sich bemerkbar zu machen, weil das Personal einen einfach ignoriert. Kommen definitiv nicht wieder.
