Cafe' am See in Worms

We are regulars at the café in the zoo and visit frequently with our annual pass. A break there is simply a must for our children – whether it's for a waffle, ice cream, or fries, they look forward to it every time. The staff deserves special mention: they are consistently friendly, attentive, and take their time for the guests. They even recognize our children now, which creates a very personal and warm atmosphere. We find the prices and portion sizes to be perfectly reasonable. They are always accommodating to special requests or minor order changes, even though that's certainly not always easy in the daily routine. Overall, you really get the feeling that service and hospitality are top priorities here. For example, on a cold day, we arrived before the official opening time, and they offered to serve us a hot drink while we waited until everything was ready and the café opened. That was very thoughtful and remains a positive memory. For us, it's an essential part of every zoo visit and highly recommended.

4.50€ for 0.5l of water is not acceptable

I was there on Sunday lunchtime and had to wait a few minutes, but it was okay. The portion of fries was good and quite large. The bratwurst was cut into chunks like a currywurst, which is probably why it was almost cold. It tasted okay, though. There are plenty of seats, most of them in the shade.

I must have arrived a bit early; I finally got a coffee at 10:30... but it cost 3 euros, which was very expensive.

Absolutely unfriendly staff, the food isn't great either, zero points for me.

A portion of fries for €3.50 was the smallest portion I've ever eaten, and only after asking did they include ketchup (at least one packet was included with a portion; otherwise, it cost 40 cents). Unfortunately, there wasn't much other food to choose from.

Coffee was okay, service was not. No coffee caps available, card payments not accepted despite the card machine being available, and the toilet was broken. Given these circumstances, the price-performance ratio is not right.

The kiosk is part of the Tiergarten park, and I think it's quite good. You can get the essentials, and the prices are reasonable, too.

Unfortunately, some of the service staff are rude or overwhelmed.

Old frozen cake at juicy prices

We were there on the holiday and it was the only snack bar open in the zoo. The food (fast food) was good and hot. However, the curry sauce is not for children, it is quite spicy. Unfortunately, the people behind the counter were completely overwhelmed. We had to queue for about an hour and then wait another 15 minutes for the food after taking the order. There was some food mix-up and slight chaos during distribution. Take the receipt with you. I tried to order drinks inside, but to no avail. You don't get noticed because you didn't know what to do first. Unfortunately there was a queue like that all day. The prices are ok. Seating is available indoors and outdoors. There was usually a free space nearby. You have to work on handling the guests!
