This Double Crispy Chicken should really be called Queen of the Month instead of King of the Month to be more gender-inclusive. The Americanized haute cuisine creation was surprisingly tasty, the accompanying fries—hot and crispy—were really good, and the real Coke rounded off the special offer perfectly. The team behind the counter was friendly, and the kitchen was quick with the service.

Unfortunately, all the burgers came without cheese, even though we had ordered extra cheese at the vending machine. When we pointed this out, they just shrugged and said they didn't have any. That's why they had added more cheddar sauce. 🤔 They still kept the extra charge. And there was no milk for the coffee either…

I haven't experienced such poor service in a long time. My visit to this branch was a complete disappointment. The staff seemed unmotivated and overwhelmed, barely acknowledged customers, and were practically non-existent in terms of friendliness. The wait was unreasonably long, even though the restaurant wasn't even particularly busy. Furthermore, the order was incomplete or incorrect, which is absolutely unacceptable for such an established company. Cleanliness also left much to be desired, both in the dining area and at the serving counter. Overall, it seems that basic standards of service and organization are not being met. I expect significantly more professionalism and quality from a large chain like Burger King. There is definitely an urgent need for improvement here.

Yesterday, I went to this Burger King for the second time in a long while, wanting to give it another chance. I'm simply disappointed! The staff are incredibly unhygienic, handling food with the same hand they use to ring up customers. A hair came out of my girlfriend's burger, and they didn't even refund us. We were accused of lying, despite clear evidence! The employees and shift managers are incredibly unfriendly, and I've never experienced a one-hour wait for two burgers and drinks before! I can only advise against this dump—unhygienic, unfriendly, and incompetent.

Congratulations! 👏👏👏 Burger King Hagen has earned the title of "Worst Burger King in Germany" from us today. 🙄 Wait time for our food: 35 minutes!!! The other customers in front of and around us also waited 30-35 minutes for their food. And no, it wasn't even particularly busy. But it gets even better: the cheese was missing from the burger at the next table, one customer's Baby Burger was double-cooked, my entire burger was missing, and we received chicken nuggets instead of Chili Cheese Nuggets. 🤦♂️ But there's more: all the faucets in the restrooms were broken, which no one can control, but after being promised refreshing hand wipes, we had to wait 5 minutes for those too. Unbelievable...😡

I just went to the Burger King drive-thru and I'm very disappointed. The wait was extremely long. When I finally got my food, it was already cold. On top of that, my order was taken incorrectly, so I ended up paying more than necessary. What was particularly annoying was that I specifically asked the employee if the order had been double-checked and if everything was correct and complete. He very arrogantly dismissed it without even looking properly. It turned out that the order was indeed wrong. This kind of service is truly disappointing. If you're going to wait a long time, at least the food should be right and hot. Unfortunately, that was definitely not the case here.

Flat cola. Burger cold. (But that's generally borderline these days at Burger King and similar places.) Staff (no comment). There were only 6 customers there, and the service cart was packed. Makes you wonder what they do when it's busy. Overall, my meal deal "271" wasn't worth the money. My colleagues arrived later and wisely decided against eating here (they'd already seen the 2.7 rating and felt sorry for me 🫣). Good luck, I definitely won't be coming back. Not until the reviews show a clear 3 in the middle.

2021: Incredibly long wait times. 40 minutes until we had food for two. Every other restaurant is faster, cleaner, and more comfortable. The prices are standard... which here means: pretty expensive for misshapen burgers and cold fries. Update 2026: The wait times haven't changed. You still have to wait a very, very long time to eat in. But you can order online... you can order online, right? YES! But hey - after 90 minutes, our order was canceled "by the restaurant." It's truly awful... Burger King Hagen, you won't see me again! I'm sitting here starving now. I wanted to avoid cooking after a 14-hour workday. Oh well... I guess I'll cook after all. Since the reopening, the quality has unfortunately declined significantly. On my last visit, my order was taken incorrectly or given incorrectly three times. This is very disappointing and really shouldn't happen with a globally recognized brand. Furthermore, communication was difficult, as the staff barely spoke German, and I sometimes had to resort to English. Especially in a service-oriented establishment, smooth communication should be a given. Overall, I am very disappointed with the current situation. I expect significantly better service and more professionalism from an international fast-food chain. As it stands, a visit is simply not enjoyable, which is a real shame.

Food: The fries were very good because they were freshly prepared. The burgers were cold, stale, and tasteless. The worst part was the Coke. It was lukewarm and had no ice cubes. After I complained, I received the same soup as before. They told me they didn't have any ice. The price, however, remained the same. Service: Friendly, but the wait time... Good grief. Atmosphere: The tables are filthy. The floor is covered in food scraps. The men's restroom is a sauna and extremely dirty. Conclusion: The fries were very good and freshly prepared, the rest was subpar, and the warm Coke was unacceptable. The service and atmosphere need improvement. I won't be returning to Burger King Hagen anytime soon.

When I inquired, I was blatantly lied to and told that the driver had supposedly rung my doorbell and called several times, but I had no missed calls on my cell phone and no one had rung the doorbell. I certainly didn't order food for almost €30 and then not answer the door... If the drivers don't want to do their job because it's too late after 10 pm, they should find another one. I hope I get my money back.

I've never seen such a bad Burger King in my life. The employees are a joke, and if you want to order at the drive-thru, you have to order at the counter where you pay. So, unlike usual, you can't order at the counter beforehand, pay, and then pick up your food; everything has to be done at the final counter, meaning every car has to wait 15-30 minutes. I finally went back here after ages. Verdict: Absolutely awful! I ordered fries with chili cheese sauce and a double Whopper to go. First of all, it was freezing cold in the restaurant, all the restrooms were out of order, and there wasn't a receipt roll in the terminal (but none of the staff seemed to care). The fries and sauce were placed upright in the bag, so the sauce and fries ended up all over the other items inside. Great, especially when you only notice it in your car after you've already left. A chip fork or napkins? Forget it. The customer is expected to eat the whole mess from the bag with their bare fingers. And the freebie I ordered at the terminal was wrong, too. I'm definitely never going back here. FAIL.

Waited forever because the terminals and the cash register system were down. Poor service, incompetent. Half the order was missing. After informing the staff, we weren't charged for the missing items, but instead received something completely different that we hadn't ordered. So we had to inform the staff again, and it took a while for the order to be completed. Customers who ordered before and after us had the same experience. And we're talking about a Monday evening; the place was empty. All in all, not recommended. All the burgers were cold, if they were even the right ones, and the staff was completely overwhelmed. The Burger King in Witten does a thousand times better.

The new Double Meal could now be ordered from Uber for €31 instead of €48. The meal consisted of a small and a tiny burger, six small chicken nuggets, six tiny cheese nuggets, and a portion of fries. A drink was "forgotten." The photo accompanying the meal shows two Cokes and two orders of fries... At least I got a €4 refund from Uber, but the whole thing wasn't even worth €20. Ordering from a fast-food chain for the first time in many years was definitely the last time; there are many much better alternatives.

I'm currently sitting in the Burger King in Filderstadt, comparing it to my last visit to the one in Hagen. It's like they're two completely different businesses. In Filderstadt, everything that's negative in Hagen is positive. My personal favorite: in Hagen, we waited 50 minutes at the drive-thru. The next time, we went inside, thinking it would be faster. We walked in, saw the annoyed faces of the other customers, and immediately turned around and went right back out.

An absolutely unique experience! 💗 I was a little apprehensive after seeing the reviews and hesitated to go. But I was more than pleasantly surprised. I was there on Saturday at 10:30 pm and it seemed quite busy to me. (There were 14 other orders on the monitor.) But after less than 10 minutes, I was able to pick up my order at the front. A blond, stocky young man handed me the order with a broad smile. He coordinated everything while he worked. TOP!!! I can truly recommend this branch to everyone, even though it has negative reviews. The food arrived quickly despite the crowd, was hot, and of high quality – exactly what I expected. I'll definitely come back and look forward to another positive experience.

Worst shift manager ever (a veiled woman over 50). So rude I wanted to leave the restaurant immediately. I understand there are problems with the terminals, but that's no excuse for being unfriendly to customers. I came to apply for a job—I'm more qualified than 99% of the current staff—and the woman even refused to accept my resume, which I had with me. Never again! This used to be a great, welcoming Burger King with friendly, young employees who created a really good atmosphere and were incredibly fast. Now, nothing of that remains. The atmosphere is more chaotic than a restaurant. Most of the managers seem overwhelmed; only the big boss in brown usually seems to have everything under control. It's a shame how much the quality and atmosphere have declined – I don't know, something urgently needs to be done. What a pity! My plea: Rehire the teenagers! We don't want a sleepy atmosphere; we want employees who are smiling and in a good mood. Well, I'm still giving it two stars because I remember it being better before.

I just visited the Burger King in Hagen, and I was pleasantly surprised by the way the young woman, L.V., served me. Afterwards, I went to the drive-thru and was very impressed with how she took my order; she was very friendly. I'd gladly go back to this location. Thanks again for everything!

Went there today, what a joke! This place is a joke. The burgers were cold, and with the kids' meal they just give you a Coke... you order a normal burger and no, they write down the XXL... I don't understand why they don't hire people who know their job and understand what you're ordering.

Too bad... I agree with the forgotten fries, and the Jr. Whopper was cold... The two stars are only because my kids don't want to work in the restaurant industry because of the constant complaining. They should close down the multitude of stores and concentrate the few good ones. P.S. Yesterday there were more employees than customers there...

An absolutely negative experience – neither service nor customer service! I visited the Burger King branch on Herdecker Straße in Hagen on October 19, 2025 – and had one of the worst customer experiences in a long time. After waiting for over 25 minutes (in a nearly empty restaurant!), my order was only partially served. We ended up returning the entire order because the beer was simply full. What followed was even worse: Instead of an apology or a straightforward refund, the branch and customer service sent me in circles. Despite having a receipt, no refund has been issued to this day – instead, I'm asked to submit bank statements (!). For a fast-food restaurant, this is simply embarrassing and unacceptable. That's not how you treat paying customers. I certainly won't visit this branch again – and I can only advise everyone to go to McDonald's a few meters away. Apparently, service there still works.

2 of 4 displays out of order. The floor was sticky. The young waitress who worked the checkout counter and cash register was very friendly. The shift manager (??) had a harsh tone with his employees... Food/Menu Standard Visited on a weekday around 12 p.m.

What is this place? For a moment, I thought it was a fake, imitation McDonald's by Temu. Aside from the name, this branch has absolutely nothing to do with McDonald's. The design is completely outdated, like it's stuck in the 80s. There are no self-service kiosks, and the branch doesn't even appear in the McDonald's app—and I always order through the app. No breakfast, no app coupons, no Monopoly. Even classics like the cheeseburger and chicken burger were missing from the price list, but then, when I asked, they suddenly turned up—very strange. On top of that, there's no restroom and no power outlets. And to top it all off: no Big Rösti (I visited in December). Overall, extremely disappointing. This is nothing like the McDonald's standard you'd expect.

⭐ 1/5 – Disappointing I went to McDonald’s today and had to wait over 30 minutes for a simple ice cream. That’s really unreasonable – especially considering how quiet it was. No one apologized, and it seemed like the staff had absolutely no idea what was going on. Waiting that long for ice cream is just ridiculous. Very disappointing – it really ruins the experience.

It's a two-story establishment, with the second floor always closed, and the ground floor completely full (nowhere to sit). Wi-Fi and power outlets are available, but they rarely work (I've been there more than seven times, and everything only worked once).

Everything is great, usually it starts to get brutal from 7 pm to 10 pm, but otherwise, McDonald's is perfect, I've been going there for 4 years now and everything is fine.
