Even at Burger King, there are significant differences in food quality, service, and cleanliness.

The kebab-style dish tasted very strongly of lime, it was quick and all, but as I said, the sweet and sour sauce wasn't very good either, and it was quite expensive, I have to say. We were there at 1:30 in the morning and they were out of tablets; we got bags even though we had ordered to eat in.

I went to Burger King today and was thoroughly disappointed. The restaurant was filthy. Everything was greasy and sticky. The drinks from the self-service machine were lukewarm and undrinkable. On top of that, we had to wait a full half hour for four burgers! The service was also terrible. They didn't seem to care that the drinks were way too warm. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. And the prices aren't exactly cheap either!

How and by others we were sent away again; they didn't want to sell us any food, claiming they were overloaded.

Unfortunately, I can't even call the disgusting atmosphere in this filthy restaurant my worst experience. Unfriendly service like that woman on a weekday lunchtime is the icing on the cake. Such rude behavior towards customers and colleagues is unparalleled. I have NEVER experienced a meal that I received in one sitting. Instead, the individual components are delivered every minute, instead of waiting an extra two minutes for the order to be served. How they are unable to deliver the entire order when waiting times are generally up to 25 minutes remains a mystery to me. A little tip for everyone: Don't pay with cash at the cash register, the lady will almost jump at someone's throat.

The employees are absolutely incompetent

We just ordered something for almost 50 euros, and the fries tasted absolutely disgusting, old, like cardboard. Thank you.

Well... How do you describe a Burger King

Was there on Friday 1 minus point: We were originally in the drive-thru, but after 5 minutes we weren't served, so we went inside. We placed our order at 6:13 PM and left 45 minutes later after I asked how long it would take. Sorry, I have absolutely no understanding of how a fast-food restaurant that now charges the same prices for a set meal as a proper, clean restaurant can operate like this! Also, our order was incomplete at the end. But honestly, complaining wouldn't have helped. I want to make it clear: the employees were stressed. And, in my opinion, understaffed. And on a holiday. It's okay that mistakes happen. It's not okay that the drive-thru is simply not served. If the volume is too high, politely invite people inside. But you can tell they're not organized.

Disaster... you stand at the drive-thru counter for 5-8 minutes, it's backed up, and you simply don't get served even though 2(!) employees had their headphones on... that's incredibly cheeky!! Then we order at a fast-food restaurant... we had to wait 37 minutes for our food... 37... that's service for the faint-hearted. Of course, something was missing... So, my recommendation: go to the nearest kebab shop around the corner or get a decent meal. But it's best to ignore this snotty Donald Duck.

Is it actually the street's fault that all the chains on Detmolder Street are crap? McDoof is a total failure anyway, and Subway seems to have closed down for good reason, so they're probably thinking: We'll accept that level! It was actually an "okay" branch, but now they've reached the bottom of the pile. The constantly dirty tables, which seem to only be briefly wiped with a dry cloth, hardly need a word. It's a sad standard in the industry that the wait times surpass many restaurants, and then you end up with lukewarm to cold food. We're familiar with it everywhere by now, but since when are they so damned impudent as to display unavailable items on the terminals and then throw in random, inferior items when ordering? There's no point in complaining on-site either. Maybe they should start requiring their employees to have at least a basic knowledge of our language, so that at least ONE per shift can address potential complaints, not just "I don't have anything, I don't give you anything, it doesn't matter"... The "gentleman" who was on duty at the cash register today (Wednesday, October 1st, around 9:30 PM) can be fired immediately anyway - anyone who lies to customers has no business in that profession. And almost EVERY other customer was upset about him, so we were definitely not an isolated case. From now on, we'll only be getting Star Burgers at the Detmolder - who knows, maybe the Federal Chancellor will get a visit soon anyway, which would certainly be well deserved.

I can recommend this place for its drive-thru. Friendly service. Fresh produce. Simply good.

I had mixed experiences at Burger King in Paderborn. Unfortunately, the restaurant often seems unclean, and the employees are visibly stressed, which means they often forget something when ordering. Additionally, you sometimes have to wait up to half an hour for your food. The food itself was okay, even if the prices have become quite high these days.

Drinks can be refilled for free. Sometimes you have to wait a little longer for your food, depending on the number of customers. Car posers regularly gather in the parking lot and take up parking spaces.

I haven't seen such a dirty branch in a long time. Tables dirty, I cleaned it myself. Sticky floor, no cleaning... Food was lukewarm, but after complaining, it was served hot.

Burgers are already ready, but they're not being handed out. The cash register is empty, the driveway is empty. They wait until other burgers are ready because they want to work on them in order. But their work ethic is pointless. They walk slowly back and forth, wait until the burgers are cold and hard, and then hand them out. I had to wait for the shift change and ask a fellow heir named Leroy to please give me my burgers. Pointless?

Top service & delicious food! I visited the Burger King branch on Detmolder Straße in Paderborn today and am completely satisfied. The service was truly excellent – the entire team was very friendly, attentive, and helpful. I was particularly impressed by the manager, who interacts with guests in a very professional yet pleasant manner. The branch was remarkably clean, both in the dining area and in the restrooms. The food was freshly prepared, served hot, and tasted absolutely delicious – just as you would expect! Thank you for this positive experience – I'll definitely be back!

The Burger King in Paderborn is the best for me – everything is just right here. The burgers are always fresh, warm, and juicy, and the fries are crispy as requested. Everything inside is clean and well organized, and the staff is friendly and efficient. What's particularly nice is that everything runs smoothly, even during peak times. They constantly get the order wrong. Of five children's meals, three toys and two portions of fries were missing today. If it hadn't been for the thunderstorm, I would have driven back to complain.

Very slow! We waited 25 minutes for four cheeseburgers, which is unacceptable!

On June 5, 2025, at approximately 10:40 p.m., I visited the drive-thru to order an iced chocolate coffee. The employee initially explained to us, in an unintelligible accent, that this drink wasn't available. After we pointed out again that this drink was available, he told us, completely annoyed, that there was no chocolate sauce, only caramel. When we didn't respond quickly enough (about 2 seconds), he yelled into the intercom asking if caramel was okay. He received the answer back at the same volume. He then got upset about why people were talking so loudly and that we should be paying attention. Only after he had finished his loud monologue did I ask him if we could order now or if he wanted to continue the discussion. After about 10 seconds, he annoyed and dismissively ordered us to drive up. Arriving at the drive-thru checkout, I tried again to explain to him how loudly he was shouting into the system and that he shouldn't be surprised if he met with the same reaction. Unfortunately, there was no sign of understanding at all. We will definitely avoid this Burger King in the future. I've had too many negative experiences at this restaurant. Extremely long wait times despite moderate customer numbers, sticky tables smeared with food scraps, etc. Not to mention the unfriendliness of most of the employees. Service and customer friendliness are not part of some of the repertoire here.

Tonight I was with my family and the washing machine wasn't working so well. My children and my wife had a stomach ache.

We received a very friendly welcome, the lady at the order counter was very friendly, the selection was good, the burgers were tasty, the prices are completely inflated, and we're deducting one star for that. The menus are only available in size L, so we're deducting one star because we'd throw away too much. Conclusion: not for us anymore.

Goes. So everyone who eats in these fast food chains knows very well that you don't get the best of the best, or the healthiest. But you expect at least reasonably good/edible food. We were there at around 12 o'clock at night. You could tell that the fries were old. Burgers loveless and flat. The people who work there are really really nice. But for over €12 per menu, you at least expect simple fries to be freshly fried. Or burgers don't look like a truck just drove over them. Dining outside is becoming more and more of a luxury, even in the “worse” restaurants. The prices are way too high for what you get in the end. Either prepare well or the prices are significantly lower. This goes to the people who have the upper hand, not to the employees who have to put up with all sorts of crap because otherwise they would be unemployed.

The shop looks very clean, but waiting 30 minutes for an order and receiving a completely dry burger as an excuse is not really my thing. Burger King advertises new great things that are permanently sold out. Not in Paderborn again

The lady who works at the drive-in counter is extremely unfriendly. Their tone is similar to that in a barracks. The words “please” and “thank you” do not exist in their vocabulary. Strange that management tolerates such behavior towards customers. I will only go to Mc D. in the future. The employees there are friendly.

The lady at the checkout, Ms. Agnis, argued for 10 minutes because she misunderstood my brother even though he wanted a hot brownie. She gave it to Hot Blondie and said that Blondi tasted good too haahaaaahaaa…. Very professional of her and incredibly poor service.

We previously ordered 4 burgers and 1 churros at the drive in. We stood for about 15/20 minutes and waited for our turn. After paying, the receipt was not given. Only when I asked again was it reprinted for us. Unfortunately, you could only see the prices and not what it cost and how much. The young man in brown clothing obviously seemed listless and unmotivated. There was only one other car in front of us and apparently only the customers inside were being processed. When we drove up after getting our food, we checked to make sure everything was there. Since we didn't know that the churros were also packaged in a burger package, we assumed that the churros were missing and the crispy chicken burger we wanted was in the bag, since we only received 4 of the 5 things we ordered. We went in to get churros. We got some without any problems. We then drove home for 30 minutes only to find that the burger package had churros in it instead of the burger I expected. So they forgot my burger at the beginning. So you have to check your packaging from the inside too. Incredible. But otherwise, luckily, it tasted good.

From the outside it was not obvious that the employees were completely overwhelmed. Despite the restaurant being sparsely full, you stand in line for over 40 minutes waiting for food. Despite a special order and an explicit request, once again no fresh burgers were given, the bread was hard, the meat was lukewarm and the cheese was hard, the lettuce was soggy, old, so honestly you can't get fresh burgers out if you specifically ask for it and then we told you yes Everything has to be fresh, everything has to be made anew, so you're still being lied to about the same thing every time

Hands off! If you want to eat, you should go to the McDonald's next door or go to another BK. The fries were cold and barely salted, the double Whoppers tasted chemical and were also cold and the nuggets were like the sole of a shoe. A BK near Soest-Ost or similar is much better.

Unfortunately, the waiting time was long (for us it was about 30 minutes, without special requests). The number of people waiting has also hardly decreased in about 20 minutes. The food was probably ready some time before and was therefore only lukewarm. Toppings and sauce were also saved. I actually know it to be much quicker and fresher from this location.

We were there with friends because the children were hungry. The friends ordered 2x menu and 2x children's menu, waiting time about 25 minutes. We ordered 1 children's menu and 2x cheeseburgers without cucumber, waiting time 45 minutes and that only because we asked twice. Of course there were no cheeseburgers without a pickle, so the employee took two burgers from the counter and gave them to his colleague in the back, who unpacked the burgers and took the pickle down (yes, you could see that). Afterwards we got everything and of course it was cold. If my child (7 years old) hadn't complained because he was the only one who didn't have anything to eat and was hungry,... Definitely never again!

Unfortunately, repeated problems with food. We brought food for our family. The order took a really long time. The children's menu was missing the sweet and sour sauce, my wife was missing the salad dressing and my burger was missing the additional patty, which costs 2.10 euros. Unfortunately, I can't check everything in the branch and so I'm once again disappointed at home. It's a shame, we used to love being guests. Today I think that was my last visit here for a long time - a real shame.

I ordered a menu there and one of the burgers was completely burnt. The second one was great and the fries were delicious too.

On July 19, employees said they should close 10 minutes earlier. After 10 minutes in the drive-thru, they said we were already closed. All I wanted was ice cream. Good staff is difficult to find.

Long wait, food wasn't edible, everything was dirty and the owners really seem to have no idea how to run a company in 2024. I feel sorry for every employee and guest if anyone else gets lost in this eyesore of a restaurant. Inhumane heat, that can't be compatible with food regulations either! You should close the shop straight away and hand it over to someone who knows how to run a restaurant. The staff, on the other hand, is sometimes really nice and motivated, but that doesn't make up for the rest! Dirty shop and even dirtier management, preferably 0 stars

Been here again after many years! Except for me and my son, there was hardly anyone in the store! Still, it took about 20 minutes for us to get our food! Drinks vending machine had to take a long time to be refilled! The burger was so greasy that I couldn't eat it! Tables and floor were dirty and greasy! A pity! Apparently it has nothing to do with fast food anymore! Appointment in Paderborn at lunchtime (empty branch), thought to myself, ok, I'll quickly grab something to eat on the drive! Well, we waited over 15 minutes, not just because of the food, but because the EC card system wasn't working! The employee was very nice and hard-working and apologized to me 7 times! Nevertheless, due to restarting the EC system, my order was lukewarm for €15! That's really not possible, I'm really angry! Not even a small fries or something similar to make up for it, maybe go to McDonalds next time?

Unfortunately, 20 minutes before closing time, we were informed that no more food would be sold. Contrary to the stated opening times and with full shelves with visibly finished burgers, a really bad picture for Burgerking! The staff didn't let anyone speak to them either. What a shame! Next time we’ll go somewhere else!!

The restaurant is welcoming, bright and spacious. We previously placed our order via happ, and after ten minutes we received our order. The only thing I can complain about was the staff, the lady who served us wasn't friendly😑 that was a real shame.
