Bräustüberl in Berchtesgaden

When we entered we were greeted by a drunk guest from the regulars' table where it was quite loud and aggressive. Considering this, the service was still tolerable. Unfortunately, in our opinion, the dishes, roast pork in Reinderl and beer oxen with dumplings, were warmed up at least twice and were actually inedible. Conclusion: Bräustüberl never again!!!!!!!!!

Went there with a group, very nice restaurant, good food, there was even music 👏, it was very nice!

We stopped at the Braustüberl after our day of excursions. It's a very nice old brewery with lots of space. The multicultural staff are very nice. The food was very tasty. We will definitely stop by when we are in the area again.

Eisbock beer is super tasty, price performance is unbelievable

Definitely tearing out the food. There is little heating in the Bräustüberl and that detracts from the rustic atmosphere. The menus are very yellowed and can hardly be interpreted. Nevertheless: the food is definitely amazing and the prices are really ok for Berchtesgaden. Not enough for 4 stars, but a very good 3.

Very disappointed 😞. It may be an old inn, but they don't keep up with the times. I was there today and was very dependent on outside help 😡😡. Nothing has been done there to allow people with disabilities to come in. There is no chance of getting in with a wheelchair except with a lot of effort. I know you can do without us. It's very discriminatory and if the excuse comes up about listed buildings, sorry, even with that you can do something handicapped accessible. But you want to earn money and not spend it. I don't recommend this inn at all. Even one star is too much 😡😡😡😡😡

Rustic atmosphere, attentive and friendly service. The price is completely okay, but the designated roll/bread for the goulash soup is omitted. You can offer fiery kettle goulash, but not in a Bavarian brewery. You should concentrate again on the local, traditional, tasty cuisine.

At half past five in the evening we were actually on our way to another restaurant that we had chosen based on the reviews in TripAdvisor. Brauhaus sounds very good, so we changed our mind and went there. We found a rustic restaurant and a somewhat rude waiter. Ordered a beer and tried it - great, very good - both the dark and the light. We were happy. Ordered a roast pork with bread dumplings and a veal sausage, cabbage and fried potatoes. This came very quickly, served together. The roast was good, the bread dumplings were great. Unfortunately cold. My wife was brave and didn't complain. My dish was also ice cold. The sausage is cold on the inside and briefly placed in the hot pan on the outside because of the color. I complained about that. The friendly waiter took my plate away and promised to fix it. My wife had finished eating for a long time - at least 15 minutes later - the waiter came with a new plate. I would have liked to eat together with my wife. At this point I no longer accepted the plate. It would have been so easy. Do it right - and - shit happens, if necessary, just fry a sausage and bring it to me. Then I would have been happy. Unfortunately it didn't work.

Nice cozy restaurant. The portion of food was completely fine for me. I had roast pork. I can happily recommend it 👍

You can't complain about the service. It doesn't exist. Got a broadside from the waiter when we asked about the food. Luckily in German, so we didn't understand it all. You can't complain about the beer. But buy the same beer somewhere else where they value their customers.

Great inn. We got a table without a reservation at lunchtime when the weather was bad. Definitely worth it.

Today, late on a Friday afternoon, I had dinner at the Braustüberl. What was good: definitely the beer What wasn't so good: The knuckle was relatively fatty. The service was also relatively strange, as soon as we arrived there was "actually we don't have any free tables left" and then there was room. And when we left the inn there were still seats available (even though it had filled up quite a bit in the meantime).

We can't rate the food because it didn't come that far. Unfortunately, total mass processing and hectic atmosphere. I made a reservation for Haxn Friday AND hometown evening, unfortunately I wasn't told on the phone that there would no longer be a hometown evening on that Friday. So we went to the Bräustüberl, full of anticipation. We got there on time, told a waiter that we had a reservation and then he saw that my reservation had been lost. Because... 1. the reserved table was already occupied 2. we should come back in about 20 minutes 3. only after I asked were we told that the last home evening had already taken place a week before. They didn't even apologize. But after we saw how the guests were squeezed together at the tables, the food was in a warming counter and the jugs were carelessly filled, it was probably better that we left straight away.

Very unfriendly hospitality! Food is in a warming counter...didn't look inviting! We left again, came in pairs, wanted to sit at a window seat, it was between meal times, we weren't allowed, we were banished to a corner... Well... then not! By the way, both tables were for 6 people, but as I said, it wasn't full. So we can only judge the service and ambience.

We enjoyed it...quaint, cozy atmosphere. Very nice service. The food and beer were very tasty 😋 We had the fiery goulash and meatloaf and Kaiserschmarrn for dessert. This was super tasty, very fluffy 👍

We were there for pork knuckle day: a huge knuckle with a pretzel and a measure for just under 22 euros. Easily enough for two people. The food was good and the service was on point. Food came within 10 minutes. But it was a bit too hectic for us and felt like mass processing. Nevertheless, you can stop by there, the food is delicious - meat lovers in particular will definitely be happy there 😉

It is unpleasantly loud in the Bräustübl (just Bräustübl), and when I visited there was also unpleasant brass music with a strange traditional dance (girls have to clean up). Maybe I don't understand this custom. Long wait for beer... If you like this atmosphere, this is of course the right place for you!

Basically only the sausage on the Vesper platter is a joke...

Best grilled knuckle I've ever eaten.

Our second visit to this excellent restaurant. Good middle-class cuisine as we know it from the country. Good quality, the room was really busy, but there was still a reasonable wait for the drinks and food. When we were told that the dish we had ordered was out (the fresh burger), we apologized several times. Even after we chose and ate a different dish, we apologized again sincerely at the end of our visit The beer ox I had was juicy and buttery soft, a great portion for the price. And the schnitzel is crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. We left the restaurant full and happy, we'd love to do it again!

Get a place for 2 people without prior registration at “prime time” 6-8 p.m. However, I would generally recommend a reservation. I can particularly recommend the house beer! The Berchdesgadener is almost only available here and tastes excellent. I liked the light one best. The food and the service are very good. In short, I can only recommend the Braustüberl.

We were registered with a bus and 25 people. As a Brettljause, a thin baked salt stick and 2 sheets of meat and cheese and a few radishes were placed on the table per person. And that for 14.50 euros. The beer was very good.

Rustic restaurant with tasty food and friendly service

Unfortunately, the service has been deteriorating for years. I'm not talking about longer waiting times during peak times, I consider this to be normal in times of staff shortages. It's a shame, because otherwise it's a beautiful, traditional location with history.

Food was delicious. I personally didn't feel very comfortable in the inner courtyard and we waited a little longer to pay.

The only thing that I find a bit like this is that all the other breweries in the area have tried their hand at new products, while here they have stopped at the same production for years.😁😁😁

Nice, quiet place already designed in the inner courtyard. The tolits are beautifully designed, clean and really good. The potato rosties are full of oil, the citizen is too dry and nothing special, a very simple 0815 citizen of the Keizerschman, really nice and fluffy but very little, the desserts are very tasty and Nicely prepared. The service was really nice and relatively quick. But you wouldn't go here again

We dropped in for a quick meal, ordered schnitzel, keiserschrmarrn and local beer. Efficient service, medium-sized portions, but tasty food.

Beautiful yard. Very good value for money. The beers as well as the various main courses and desserts were impeccable. Parking space is available. And a walk in the surrounding area is a highlight. A small selection of vegetarian dishes and one vegan dish are available.

We were in the Bräustüberl for the first time. Although we got a free table straight away, the waiters noticed how hectic the Bräustüberl was. Unfortunately the food was a bit too salty.

Of course we also went to the Braustüberl during our vacation, we were never disappointed with the food or service!! And not this time either! I can only recommend the Stüberl!!!!! 👍🏻 Unfortunately, the restaurant is a bit old, I could imagine that a renovation would make the brewery more attractive for other guests too. Unfortunately, when we were there it wasn't that busy and that's a real shame because the kitchen is really good ! 👍🏻

Spent an evening here with good friends from Australia. The food and drinks were very good, everyone was actually happy, although the apple fritters I had eaten were much too firm. After we said we wanted to pay, the service didn't come for about 10 minutes. Then we were asked whether we wanted to pay by card or cash. Then the service didn't come again for at least 10 minutes. Ambiance is good, typical brewery :) Can only give 3 stars here thanks to the service.

I thought the meals were pricey. But the atmosphere was spot on. My wife who is German said the griessnockerln was the best she had.

Food could be a star better...rate the Nuremberg Rostbratwurst with sauerkraut here.

We were there on Sunday for the Weißwurst breakfast It was super tasty.

One waiter is obviously not enough at peak times… long waiting times for a seat or for food and drinks…

Service was very good, very nice service, but unfortunately the food was terrible, spaetzle was cold, schnitzel had a fishy taste, potato salad had no taste. Unfortunately not recommended.

It was a wonderful evening in the Bräustüberl, with delicious food and freshly tapped drinks. Then there was Bavarian music and a traditional costume group - a Bavarian hometown evening. It's worth it. Very nice courtyard for warm summer evenings. The waiters and the guys at the counter were very friendly, quick and accommodating. Praise to the kitchen and the chapel and traditional costume club.

2 stars because the beer is really tasty! It can happen that certain food was no longer in stock, but the fact that most of the food served didn't even deserve the word lukewarm is a shame! And even a perhaps stressed waiter could put on a friendly face 😉

From a historical perspective, it's a really rustic place, as befits a proper Hofbräuhaus. Our food was tasty and the beer 🍺 was tasty in different types. Staff was really nice. PRICE-PERFORMANCE RATIO is 👍

It's now our go-to restaurant when we're in Berchtesgaden. Beer tastes good, food is good too. Everything perfect! If possible, always reserve a table in advance.

Were really disappointed. Service was not friendly, 1 ticket for 2 people, I know it differently in breweries. There was no drinks menu. Especially in a brewery I would like to try new or regional beers. There was a daily/weekly menu on the other tables, which we didn't receive either. We didn't feel comfortable. Don't come back. It's a shame, we expected more. The building and the courtyard promise so much... drank 1 beer and then left
