Bräustüberl in Berchtesgaden

Wonderful place for traditional German food! The beer is sublime, got to sample first which was nice! Lol. Average price but you get plenty, Ox in dark beer sauce was lush, but we couldn't finish it, sorry!

Bavarian cozy inn. Service very nice. The roast pork wasn't so good. There was a lot of fat on it. The lean part was very tough and therefore a challenge to cut. The Kaiserschmarn was more like a cake and was dry. The venison was very delicious and the meat was very tender.

Was there for the first time, was very disappointed, there was nothing going on on Saturday evening, a very dark dining room, the buffet was completely dried out and had been sitting in the heat for ages, we were a large group and ordered a variety of dishes, everything was very, very overpriced! ! And absolutely not good, lukewarm and tasteless, it was the most horrible ice cream pancake I've ever eaten, the drinks are also expensive and the liquor will make you go blind! The waiter was nice and pointed out to us that we shouldn't order anything from the buffet, trd. he wanted to leave at 10 p.m.! Conclusion, it's definitely not worth a visit! It would have been better to go to Müllnerbräu!

It's crazy, pork knuckle and beer on Fridays for only €21.80. It was super tasty and hard to make. The price and service are all right here. Recommended to anyone who lives or is on holiday in Berchtesgaden and the surrounding area. Keep it up...

If you like it hearty and Bavarian, this is the place for you! Even when it's full, it goes quickly! It can be a bit louder, but it's a must when you're in Berchtesgaden!

We were very dissatisfied. My fried eggs were undercooked, had runny yolk on the fork and that was really very unappetizing. I have no understanding of why people let a meal leave the kitchen like that. And charging such an outrageous price for a clear broth as a Maggi fix is ​​far from reality. However, we have already heard from several people that they were dissatisfied there and that was confirmation. The service was also very unfriendly. It must have been a mix of a Bavarian and a Pole 😅 This was definitely the worst meal in Berchtesgaden in all the days. Sad but true 🤷🏼

During this visit, the joy of the rustic ambience was high again. Of course I don't have to say anything about delicious beer. But the daily menu was unfortunately only satisfactory. This time there was roast beef with bread dumplings. Unfortunately, the roast was a bit tough and the sauce also had a bit of an exotic taste. The service was friendly, but we always had to actively draw attention to ourselves. I think it's all a bit too little for such a very traditional house and it's just a shame.

We wanted something to eat but there was only a buffet and there was nothing for us, but from 5:30 p.m. there was a menu again. So there was only delicious beer but they were really delicious.... Especially the anniversary celebration and the festival beer were a dream. Would love to come back for dinner.

A quaint pub of the local brewery conveniently located. We tried four dishes with colleagues and they were from top to flop. The roast pork was good with a very good bread dumpling. The burger was good and the plaice was “ok”. The low point, however, was the Kasspatzen without onions and without cheese...the worst Kassanocken ever...a shame.

When we entered we were greeted by a drunk guest from the regulars' table where it was quite loud and aggressive. Considering this, the service was still tolerable. Unfortunately, in our opinion, the dishes, roast pork in Reinderl and beer oxen with dumplings, were warmed up at least twice and were actually inedible. Conclusion: Bräustüberl never again!!!!!!!!!

We stopped at the Braustüberl after our day of excursions. It's a very nice old brewery with lots of space. The multicultural staff are very nice. The food was very tasty. We will definitely stop by when we are in the area again.

Definitely tearing out the food. There is little heating in the Bräustüberl and that detracts from the rustic atmosphere. The menus are very yellowed and can hardly be interpreted. Nevertheless: the food is definitely amazing and the prices are really ok for Berchtesgaden. Not enough for 4 stars, but a very good 3.

Very disappointed 😞. It may be an old inn, but they don't keep up with the times. I was there today and was very dependent on outside help 😡😡. Nothing has been done there to allow people with disabilities to come in. There is no chance of getting in with a wheelchair except with a lot of effort. I know you can do without us. It's very discriminatory and if the excuse comes up about listed buildings, sorry, even with that you can do something handicapped accessible. But you want to earn money and not spend it. I don't recommend this inn at all. Even one star is too much 😡😡😡😡😡

Rustic atmosphere, attentive and friendly service. The price is completely okay, but the designated roll/bread for the goulash soup is omitted. You can offer fiery kettle goulash, but not in a Bavarian brewery. You should concentrate again on the local, traditional, tasty cuisine.

At half past five in the evening we were actually on our way to another restaurant that we had chosen based on the reviews in TripAdvisor. Brauhaus sounds very good, so we changed our mind and went there. We found a rustic restaurant and a somewhat rude waiter. Ordered a beer and tried it - great, very good - both the dark and the light. We were happy. Ordered a roast pork with bread dumplings and a veal sausage, cabbage and fried potatoes. This came very quickly, served together. The roast was good, the bread dumplings were great. Unfortunately cold. My wife was brave and didn't complain. My dish was also ice cold. The sausage is cold on the inside and briefly placed in the hot pan on the outside because of the color. I complained about that. The friendly waiter took my plate away and promised to fix it. My wife had finished eating for a long time - at least 15 minutes later - the waiter came with a new plate. I would have liked to eat together with my wife. At this point I no longer accepted the plate. It would have been so easy. Do it right - and - shit happens, if necessary, just fry a sausage and bring it to me. Then I would have been happy. Unfortunately it didn't work.

You can't complain about the service. It doesn't exist. Got a broadside from the waiter when we asked about the food. Luckily in German, so we didn't understand it all. You can't complain about the beer. But buy the same beer somewhere else where they value their customers.

Today, late on a Friday afternoon, I had dinner at the Braustüberl. What was good: definitely the beer What wasn't so good: The knuckle was relatively fatty. The service was also relatively strange, as soon as we arrived there was "actually we don't have any free tables left" and then there was room. And when we left the inn there were still seats available (even though it had filled up quite a bit in the meantime).

We can't rate the food because it didn't come that far. Unfortunately, total mass processing and hectic atmosphere. I made a reservation for Haxn Friday AND hometown evening, unfortunately I wasn't told on the phone that there would no longer be a hometown evening on that Friday. So we went to the Bräustüberl, full of anticipation. We got there on time, told a waiter that we had a reservation and then he saw that my reservation had been lost. Because... 1. the reserved table was already occupied 2. we should come back in about 20 minutes 3. only after I asked were we told that the last home evening had already taken place a week before. They didn't even apologize. But after we saw how the guests were squeezed together at the tables, the food was in a warming counter and the jugs were carelessly filled, it was probably better that we left straight away.

We left again, came in pairs, wanted to sit at a window seat, it was between meal times, we weren't allowed, we were banished to a corner... Well... then not! By the way, both tables were for 6 people, but as I said, it wasn't full. So we can only judge the service and ambience.

We were there for pork knuckle day: a huge knuckle with a pretzel and a measure for just under 22 euros. Easily enough for two people. The food was good and the service was on point. Food came within 10 minutes. But it was a bit too hectic for us and felt like mass processing. Nevertheless, you can stop by there, the food is delicious - meat lovers in particular will definitely be happy there 😉

It is unpleasantly loud in the Bräustübl (just Bräustübl), and when I visited there was also unpleasant brass music with a strange traditional dance (girls have to clean up). Maybe I don't understand this custom. Long wait for beer... If you like this atmosphere, this is of course the right place for you!

Basically only the sausage on the Vesper platter is a joke...

Our second visit to this excellent restaurant. Good middle-class cuisine as we know it from the country. Good quality, the room was really busy, but there was still a reasonable wait for the drinks and food. When we were told that the dish we had ordered was out (the fresh burger), we apologized several times. Even after we chose and ate a different dish, we apologized again sincerely at the end of our visit The beer ox I had was juicy and buttery soft, a great portion for the price. And the schnitzel is crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. We left the restaurant full and happy, we'd love to do it again!

Get a place for 2 people without prior registration at “prime time” 6-8 p.m. However, I would generally recommend a reservation. I can particularly recommend the house beer! The Berchdesgadener is almost only available here and tastes excellent. I liked the light one best. The food and the service are very good. In short, I can only recommend the Braustüberl.

We were registered with a bus and 25 people. As a Brettljause, a thin baked salt stick and 2 sheets of meat and cheese and a few radishes were placed on the table per person. And that for 14.50 euros. The beer was very good.

Rustic restaurant with tasty food and friendly service

Unfortunately, the service has been deteriorating for years. I'm not talking about longer waiting times during peak times, I consider this to be normal in times of staff shortages. It's a shame, because otherwise it's a beautiful, traditional location with history.

Nice, quiet place already designed in the inner courtyard. The tolits are beautifully designed, clean and really good. The potato rosties are full of oil, the citizen is too dry and nothing special, a very simple 0815 citizen of the Keizerschman, really nice and fluffy but very little, the desserts are very tasty and Nicely prepared. The service was really nice and relatively quick. But you wouldn't go here again

Beautiful yard. Very good value for money. The beers as well as the various main courses and desserts were impeccable. Parking space is available. And a walk in the surrounding area is a highlight. A small selection of vegetarian dishes and one vegan dish are available.
