Whenever I'm out and about in the Berchtesgadener Land, whether by bike or on the mountain, the Laroswacht has become almost a must-stop to round off a successful day. The wait for the delicious food is short, the staff is friendly, and the location is perfect!

A small but fine restaurant. The service is excellent, very friendly and incredibly attentive, with a touch of humor. The menu is straightforward, the dishes are plentiful and very well prepared, and offer excellent value for money. The ambiance suits this cuisine. We highly recommend it. Thank you very much.

This review is for the restaurant only. We reserved a table for three people by phone and were seated at a nice indoor table a good hour later. Reservations are definitely recommended, as the seating inside is limited. Generally, the food arrived quite quickly at all tables. Unfortunately, the trout hadn't been delivered yet, so I had a delicious roast venison with Brussels sprouts and spaetzle. We also had pumpkin soup from the daily menu, loin with croquettes, and the breaded Camembert from the permanent menu. The beer and shandy were reasonably priced, and we'd happily come back again.

We noticed the inn while driving past and stopped right away, and we weren't disappointed. Very friendly and quick service, delicious food, and a lovely atmosphere. Highly recommended.

The rest of the dish was tasty. Parking space is limited, so it’s better to come early. We didn’t need a reservation this time, but depending on the season it might be necessary. We had a wonderful meal today with our waiter, Manuel. Very good! Authentic, a wide selection of traditional Bavarian food, delicious and reasonably priced, and a lovely atmosphere.

Fantastic food, child-friendly and great prices

We stopped at Laroswacht on way back from a beautiful hike along the river. We had beers and currywurst on the front patio and had Manuel as our waiter. He was delightful and gave us many local recommendations for our travels around the Salzburg and Berchtesgaden area. Wonderful hospitality!

We can only review the restaurant. We had a table reserved inside for 7 p.m. The food was delicious and the price was perfectly reasonable. The waiter who served us had a few jokes on his lips and was very friendly despite the restaurant being packed. Here in Bavaria, we'd probably say "it's fine." 😀

I ate here with my family. The food arrived very quickly after we ordered, which surprised us a lot (less than 10 minutes). However, this was reflected in the taste. Some of the potatoes were hard and not fried potatoes. The onion roast was okay, but the onions weren't cooked very well. The Kaiserschmarren (smothered pancakes) was nothing like a Kaiserschmarren; more like scrambled eggs sprinkled with sugar. We expected more based on the reviews, but were very disappointed. The waiter was also very uncaring and just slapped the food down on the table, seeming like he didn't feel like eating. Nice place to eat (location), but I wouldn't come here again and wouldn't recommend it to anyone who really wants German food. It was more like ready-made food for an expensive price.

Very unfriendly and unwelcoming. We came for dinner with seven people and had called to make a reservation. There was only a table for five. After politely asking for an extra table several times, my husband pulled one up himself. The waiter also asked if we could put the table back after dinner. The food was decent, but the quality was definitely not in line with the price. Absolutely not recommended; I can't understand why this restaurant has an average rating of 4.6.

Ate here for the second time and was never disappointed. The food tastes great, as does the side salad. Everything is made with love. Very, very good home-style cooking, which unfortunately isn't available so often these days. A big compliment to the chef, the kitchen, and the always friendly service. Keep up the good work.

We came here just for dinner without a reservation. At first, we sat in the garden, enjoying the charming atmosphere, but when it started to rain, the staff quickly and kindly moved us inside. We were there last night. There's always a daily special, which changes daily. It's very child-friendly. My daughter, even though it was supposed to be plain, asked nice questions and got her schnitzel. The friendly waiter gave her a lollipop at the end. The nice gentleman with the glasses and the "fish necklace" was a very nice waiter. 😊 Highly recommended!

We took a short break here and decided to grab a bite to eat. The service, or rather the waiter, was good and a bit jolly. The drinks and the ordered food arrived after a short wait; it was good, and the portions were still sufficient. Price/performance ratio is OK. You can stop here without hesitation and take a short break next to the Berchtesgadener Ache river.

Ready-made food. Fast food. Zander from the freezer of the Aldi. No Coca cola. Unhealthy choices: everything fried/ with fries except my asparagus.., also for the children. Unfortunately this is the case with almost all restaurants in Berchtesgaden (has become so) probably focus on American guests. Too bad because the location is great. A traditional Bavarian inn to enjoy and linger in The Laroswacht is a little gem of Bavarian hospitality – a place to feel good, enjoy, and be full. I've eaten there several times, but only recently, after a long bike ride, I sat inside for the first time. The food was, as always, excellent: generous, hearty portions that left nothing to be desired. I was particularly impressed by the exceptionally warm service (according to Manuel's bill). Our requests were practically anticipated before we could even express them. My companion, an American friend, was attentively provided with an English menu – a small gesture that made a big impression. Another plus: The Laroswacht serves hot meals all day. Although we arrived shortly before 3 p.m., we could still look forward to a hearty meal. For me, the Laroswacht remains a reliable address when I want to experience Bavarian hospitality and good food. I'd love to come back!

The Gasthaus Laroswacht is idyllically located on the Berchtesgadener Ache and is easy to reach from Salzburg or Berchtesgaden. The Berchtesgaden specialties are fresh and lovingly prepared - a pleasure! The view of the Alpine panorama from the Hoher Göll to the Watzmann is particularly beautiful. Whether in the cozy guest rooms or in the beer garden, you can indulge yourself wonderfully here. Highly recommended!

Were there today completely by chance. After a nice welcome, we were served very friendly and had a delicious meal. There was even a jug of sauce, free of charge, without being asked. The owner noticed that we weren't from here but integrated us with nice conversations and great jokes. As part of our visit to Berchtesgaden, we stopped at this restaurant and wanted to eat something before continuing on to the Bundeswehr's oath of allegiance. The room is quiet, the service was impeccable and the food was delicious. There was nothing to complain about or complain about.
