Clocky inn with an old brick vault and an open grill, where bratwursts and steaks are all freshly prepared. Service very friendly. Especially at very reasonable prices. We can definitely recommend the bratwurst heart.

My friend and I had an absolutely horrible experience. From the moment we sat down, it was clear that the restaurant had no organization. We were seated in a section that seemed to have no assigned waiter, and we waited over an hour just to place an order, all while watching the staff argue about who should take our table. The lack of professionalism was shocking. When we finally asked for the check, it took another 45 minutes before anyone brought it to us. To make matters worse, our waiter, after giving us the worst service imaginable, had the audacity to ask for a tip. And if that wasn’t bad enough, the food was disappointing—cold, bland, and definitely not worth the price. This was by far one of the most frustrating dining experiences my friend and I have ever had.

The food was very good, the place is always nice, but the waiter was just bad. First he throws the used cutlery on your pants, then he cheats on your change. We already gave tips, he gives out even less. Unfortunately noticed too late.

A very nice Germanic atmosphere, as far as the decor goes. The service spoke English and were straight forwardly polite (rather than grovelling), so that was appreciated on either account. The food was tasty - but I was a bit let down by the portion sizes, what with the grilled sausages being the size of fingers, which you wouldn't be able to tell by the photos. Had I somehow been able to know that ahead of time, I would have ordered the larger order and not left hungry. It is however commensurate with the price you would expect to pay at a restaurant in a big city these days. Not much to pick on, then.

Absolutely delicious schnitzel and sausages in an extremely cozy restaurant, service was busy but was to be expected with the crowd. There's no music blasting so you can actually have conversations with your company which is a wonderful treat these days. Potato salad was also really good, tangy and sweet and worked as a great side dish to the savoury schnitzel

In the past you could eat delicious bratwursts fried over beech wood with delicious sauerkraut. On the last visit, the bratwursts were lukewarm and the bratwursts were fried slightly bitter over the gas grill. The sauerkraut tasted like it was fresh from the can. Never again, what a shame...

Also das Essen kam nach 2 Minuten, es war warm gehalten, das Fleisch was komplett zäh, die Würsten haben nach Pappe geschmeckt, also die billigste Großhandelsware, nicht mehr Metzgerqualität. Wir gehen da nicht mehr hin, so schlecht habe ich schon lange nicht mehr gegessen.

What a nice surprise this place is located right in the center next to the food market. Not only is it very good, generous classic Bavarian cuisine, but also rather cheap considering the quality. Server full of mischief, very polite without laughing, very friendly. Cozy and friendly atmosphere. Fast service but we almost wish it was slower so we could stay longer 😊. Highly recommended! We will return with pleasure if the opportunity presents itself.

First time ever in my life I was being 🤫by a waiter?! A lady who is really lovely referred me to this really rude colleague. I sat down, read the menu and decided on what to order. I raised my hand and smile at the waiter to get his attention and he put a finger in front of his mouth, shhhhhh me with a sound while walking away?!?? I thought I offended him until I see him repeating the same thing to another table. This is bizarre! He then asked for my food rudely, yet walked away before I even pointed at the food I want. Will never, come to this place, at all.

I was polite enough to ask instead of assuming, but he still snapped at me like a bully. Completely unprofessional and unacceptable behavior. Take your money elsewhere — this owner either doesn’t care about customer experience or can’t hire decent staff. Save yourself the trouble and find another restaurant. Don’t let this place ruin your evening like it did mine.

At 2 p.m. there were no more pretzels, we ate bread with Obatzter - quite overpriced, drinks too. Service quite chaotic. While we were consuming something, we played cards. When our glasses were empty, we were immediately informed that playing cards is forbidden by law - of course we would have ordered something else, but we weren't asked anymore and were literally chased away.

That the cook takes advantage of your loin steak to clean the grill (I don't know if burning is good for humans), says a lot about this restaurant. We ate the grilled due (don't order it, everything is very dry) It has a short and tacky menu of 4 ingredients. With all the restaurants in the area we accidentally fell into this one. I asked for a table for four... without even glancing at me, the angry waiter muttered and went away gesticulating... he continued to ignore me... He didn't give the same treatment to Germans sitting at a table.. actually he was talkative with them... But..

Tasty food at a reasonable price. Really liked the sausages and the he schnitzel. As a tourist I recommend it to other tourists who look for something inexpensive to eat that is not junk. Looking forward to visiting you again👍

Good value for money. We found a place on the terrace for dinner in August and we had a great time, they were fast and the food was good.

I was here for the first time today and I was impressed by the rustic atmosphere. Here, bratwursts are grilled right in the dining room and served directly from the fire with sauerkraut. Sensational. Of course you go out afterwards and take the smoke with you ;-). But that's exactly what's special here. The service was quick and attentive. We'd love to come by again.

The place itself is very quaint, but if I could have given the service 0 stars I would have done so. Rude staff as soon as they understand that you are a foreigner, we arrived (three of us) they told us to find us a table, sending us to an empty room where the staff either never came by or the only two times they came by pretended not to see or hear you. Whereupon, on the advice of a German customer, we moved to the main room, otherwise who knows when they would have served us; even in the main room it took some time before placing the order. We thought it was over, but unfortunately the waitress brought us the plates almost throwing them on the table, hitting us and causing my friend's glasses (placed on the table) to fall under the table due to the blow she took against the plate. IN CONCLUSION: don't come here if you don't want to be hit with pizza in the face, also due to the quality-price ratio of the food offered. Cold and mediocre dishes accompanied by very rude staff.

Quite literally the worst service I have ever experienced, anywhere! Two guys working on 27th of July at around 7pm. Oh my god. They see you waiting for 15 minutes to order and just rudely smile because they do not want to take an order even though they had time. Then, after we wanted to pay, they didn't want to come and give us the bill. I went inside to pay at the counter, the waiter said I cannot do that and that I can only pay at the table. And still, no one came for 10 minutes. We were in a hurry. I couldn't take it anymore and went to the waiter again and said that if he doesn't come with the bill now, we are leaving without paying - he said OK for that and came with the bill after 2 minutes. Horrible 😅 Nobody should visit this place. Pretzel was so hard, you can break your teeth with it

Food was overpriced and not very good, service was nonexistent

Very rude service. At first I was asked to stand up and move my chair although I am walking on a stick and my chair had been where I had found it when taking my seat. I wasn’t in the way of anyone either. Quite weird. When I asked to pay with a card I was told to go inside in a harsh voice(“then you need to go inside!“). The word please or any politeness was beyond the waiter. The food was so so. The Nürnberger Rostbratwurst was charcoal grilled but had been left on the fire a bit too long so they had black parts which were quite bitter tasting. The Sauerkraut was excellent though. The beer was excellent. The rude waiter clearly waited for a tip when I paid by card but this was the first time in years I didn’t give a tip due to his rudeness.

Interesting place in the center. The style of an old Bavarian restaurant. Traditional Bavarian food. Unfortunately, the wait for service is long despite several waiters. Food ok. We ordered sausages with potato salad, maultaschen and goulash. Although my goulash dumplings were too hard. Most often, maultaschen is served with soup, but here we had it with scrambled eggs. This dish is good for vegetarians, because the filling of the maultaschen was meatless. Interesting, but very filling. A good classic dessert, apfelstrudel, with ice cream and whipped cream. Unfortunately, it must have been defrosted because the dough was very rubbery and impossible to bite or cut. Overall ok, but nothing crazy. Although the service gentleman is nice. If you have time and want Bavarian classics, come visit us.

This place specializes in sausages and you can tell. We had the 6 grilled sasuages (6 stückrostbratwürste), 2 wollwürste veal an pork sausages, and 6 smoked sausages, and 2 pretzels to accompany. We ate on the terrace due to the high temperatures. We ordered a couple of beers, a Rostbratwürste with 6 sausages and an Apfelstrudel for dessert. Everything was delicious. The price was reasonable and the place was very nice. The service was a little slow, but could improve. Overall, I was satisfied with the experience.

The innkeeper who welcomed us, I don't know if he was the owner, was rude right from the start. 10 of us entered, we asked for a table and if we could stay just to drink, a question to which he answered "yes". While ordering we asked questions (in English) because the menu was in German and we didn't fully understand it, and he replied annoyed by repeating the word that was on the menu... in German. As soon as he went to the counter with the orders he started talking to a colleague in a loud voice and the only thing that could be clearly understood was "italianen". To send us away he gave our table to some people who had just entered, telling them, this time in English, that we would be leaving shortly, while our glasses were still half full. As if that wasn't enough, he slammed the receipt on the table. DO NOT GO THERE.

The best sausages we tried in Munich. Our first breakfast with the typical white sausages, delicious pretzels accompanied by sweet mustard and some excellent quality beers. Some local friends brought us and the truth is that it was a pleasant welcome to Munich.

I'm really pleased with the food and how everything went. Even though it was really busy and chaotic when we arrived, nobody noticed us for about 10 minutes. Eventually, we found a table when someone else got up to leave. We ordered from a waitress who was cleaning the table, and she was really quick and professional. Our beer and dishes arrived in less than 10 minutes. So, while the service wasn't the most attentive, it's clear why this place has stood the test of time. We ordered the Grilled Duo, but it was a bit dry without any sauce. I enjoyed the potato salad, though. We also had smoked sausage, and, of course, beer. I got a Weissbier and something else, but you can't really go wrong with beer in Germany.

The worst experience at our first German restaurant. To begin with the restaurant was very busy when we got there, and the waiter we approached made it very clear that they were incredibly busy and did not have time to stop and help us find a table. Once we found a table outside and settled in, the waiter actually approached us to inform us we had to move inside because the outside seating area was closing. At this point we tried to order, we had been waiting for 30 min, but he kept answering “wait wait” very rudely and would walk away. When we did order our beer it took another 30 min to get two beers, and it was not until we received the beers that they allowed for us to place our food order, every time we tried they would turn away or completely ignore us. The food was not worth the wait, we ordered traditional sausage dishes that arrived lukewarm & the potato dumplings were inedible. Avoid this place.
