I ordered garlic chicken through Lieferando, but unfortunately there was hardly any garlic on it, too much oil, and the chicken didn't taste good. I would have returned it if I'd had it at a restaurant. Sabine G.

Very good schnitzel with fries and good beer

The food was delicious, but I didn't like that the waitress was literally asking for tips, which ruined the experience.

Recently I ordered half a chicken with fries, which gave me two days of diarrhea and the worst cramps of my life. And charging €3.99 for 15 fries is an absolute disgrace. Never again! The taste was so-so. Definitely not worth the money, and I'll never eat that pain again.

Funny, there was a daily special every day except Sunday! Monday: chicken schnitzel Tuesday: cordon bleu, Wed: half chicken, Thurs: pork schnitzel, Friday: seafood, and Saturday: XXL schnitzel. You can't see that on the takeaway menu anymore! Is it no longer available? Sorry, but I think 👎 then it's no longer worth it for us to go! It's a shame they always have to change everything 😞

Really nice, a bit hidden but friendly and good

A very pleasant and cozy place 😉 The prices are reasonable, the food is delicious, and the staff are all very friendly. We always enjoy stopping here when we're passing through 🤗

The food was okay, nothing special. For the price of just under €17, a few more fries would have been possible, I think. The waitress didn't ask for the size of my raspberry soda when I ordered. She promptly gave me the large glass. But it just tasted very sweet, like poured syrup. The atmosphere under the tree was simply wonderful; from experience, the interior was quite gloomy and rather worn. So, the food would probably only be given 3 stars. But since I regularly get chicken on Wednesdays, and it's always great, I'd give it 4 stars.

Update 08/2025: I tried eating here again. Unfortunately, the food was unchanged. Wilted salad, dry chicken. Fries were soggy, and the takeaway service was unfriendly. What a pity.....! ........................... Update after more than 3 years! This place is just as old and rancid as it used to be. Just like the staff. Chicken house. A great name. Unfortunately, the chicken is more of a chicken horror. I'd love to deduct two more stars for the poor quality and preparation. The poor birds died three times for the trash can. ********** I waited 20 minutes here to be served to order a Spezi. Sorry, I didn't mean to disturb the waitress. I dropped my food because of the grumpy look on her face. Otherwise, this place needs a serious renovation!

Sunday lunch, I picked up half a chicken and a salad. When I got home, I unwrapped the salad, and the lettuce leaves were completely soggy, wet, and inedible; it went straight into the trash. Thanks for nothing - I won't be coming back and would advise everyone not to eat here.

The grandparents loved the schnitzel. My vegetarian dish was okay. All the portions were very large. The vegetables, however, were frozen. The staff is very friendly. Not really for me, but the grandparents love going there...

I know the shop where I was a small child. I have to say that the staff are very friendly. Sometimes they make a mess but they apologize. The food hasn't changed as far as I know. I always go there on Sundays for the roast pork and it has never disappointed me. But I have to say that the food prices have gone up quite a bit. It's very nicely decorated, particularly the outside area. In the summer it was a great place to relax and have a beer. It's also very nice inside on colder days. When can you bring your dog in, where they give you a bowl of water? So yes, I can definitely say it's worth going there.

The tastiest schnitzel in Bavaria, and especially in Munich. Delicious fries and salad. Top-notch beer and service. And all for a very reasonable price. See you soon!

I visited your restaurant on July 27, 2025, at 12:32 p.m. and was generally impressed by the ambiance and the menu. Unfortunately, my visit was severely marred by the behavior of an elderly waitress wearing glasses. After taking a few minutes to read the menu, I politely raised my hand to indicate that I was ready to order—since I only had about an hour—to indicate that I was ready to order. The waitress took my order but then told me in a very rude tone in German that I shouldn't call her—essentially: "I'll come when it's convenient." This reaction was disrespectful and completely inappropriate. I was neither demanding nor impatient—just friendly and efficient. I originally planned to host my birthday party with around 50 friends and relatives at your restaurant. But regardless of the food, after the waitress's behavior, I clearly decided against it. I seriously wonder: Is this the kind of treatment guests should expect in your restaurant?

I've ordered takeout from here several times; the food has always been good, and I didn't have to wait long. Recently, I was adventurous and ordered the sweet and sour chicken with rice, which is rather unusual for a Bavarian restaurant. It was also really tasty and very filling!

We went to the Bavarian Schnitzel House today, and it was truly a complete success. The atmosphere was very cozy, the Wiener Schnitzel was incredibly tender and flavorful—exactly what you'd expect! A special mention goes to the super friendly service, which made the evening even more enjoyable. We'd definitely love to come back!

I was very surprised: They placed a pretzel in front of me along with the cutlery without comment. The bill then showed €1.20 for the pretzels I hadn't ordered. Outdated economy, strange service and bad food.

I was there shortly before 11 a.m. and wanted to buy a chicken! I waited at the counter for almost 10 minutes, politely calling out hello and greetings to the kitchen, because I could hear the conversation between the staff! Nothing happened. After 10 minutes, someone finally came out and asked me rudely and without apologizing, because he knew I'd been waiting there for a long time! I said I only wanted to buy one chicken! His answer was quite cheeky and simple: I sell from 11 a.m. onwards! I regularly come there to buy something, but after this situation, never again! Opening hours are 9 a.m., but sales don't begin until 11 a.m., so keep it up!

We went in this restaurant on a school trip because it had an agreement with the Imperial hotel but there were only problems: - starting with the waitresses, they were always grumpy, rude, without ever a hint of a smile - to requests for differentiation of the menu for Muslim students they did not know how to adapt and even commented with 'I too am musumlaman, but I eat this' - to various requests the answer was always no, such as the request for mayonnaise or beer which was brought at the end of the meal - the food was always poor, even one evening they brought chicken which was not cooked properly to a student Disappointing that the hotel decided to partner with such a poor restaurant. If I could give less than one star I would.

Yes, the chicken tastes like it used to be in the Vienna Woods, which it was. It doesn't look good as a restaurant anymore, but the chicken is top notch!

Went to the restaurant for a nice evening at the theater, unfortunately the water we ordered came to our table dirty, which we didn't see because the room was dark. When asked, they said the water couldn't be replaced because it wasn't sure whether the dirt didn't come from us. Because of some water!? Great service...

We had lunch here on Sunday. A Paprikaschnitzel, a Hawaiian Schnitzel and a Kaiserschmarren. For me, schnitzel is a slice that is cut from the top and then pounded. Unfortunately, here it was once again the cheap, easy-to-portion substitute made from sliced ​​pork loin, which is unfortunately much drier and tougher than the topside. The pepper sauce tasted strongly of Maggi or other ready-made products from a bucket with a little ready-made pepper from a can. The Hawaiian schnitzel was edible, the Kaiserschmarren was simply a plucked pancake with applesauce. The only bright spot was that the portions were enough to fill you up. Overall, I didn't think the price was entirely reasonable and I don't think I'll give the restaurant a second chance.

The food has lost a lot of quality in recent years. Some of the fries with the schnitzel are soft and mushy, others are still hard on the inside. The soups are pretty tasteless. The schnitzel is neither particularly good nor particularly bad. The service seems annoyed.

Inflexible and not accommodating. I ordered Sprite and got Spezi (which I don't drink with a small child), but I still had to pay even though it wasn't my fault. I suspect the staff will otherwise be charged because the lady was otherwise okay. Unfortunately, food didn't make up for this, most of it went back.

We come almost every Sunday and appreciate the Bavarian hospitality and the almost familiar atmosphere. The price-performance ratio is excellent and the portions are sufficient for me, in contrast to other Munich restaurants. I get something for my money there. The inn's garden is under chestnut trees and is a small idyll. I like coming here. Regarding the staff, friendliness and service: 100 out of 100 stars. Stay the way you are. Im like Eich!

The smell of old grease and cigarette smoke alone should have put me off eating here. In the almost empty restaurant, the waitress directed us to a smaller table. As if anyone came here more than once, except for a few lost souls. As expected, the food was bad and not cheap at all. We were here with 4 people at the weekend. There wasn't much going on. We had Jägerschnitzel with spaetzle: it was very chewy and the very thick sauce tasted like Maggi. One of our companions had the normal pork schnitzel with fries. It was also really tough. The waitress saw that one of us's glass was empty, but didn't even ask if we wanted anything else. The table wasn't clean either. The seating is very worn. It used to be very good here, but today I can no longer recommend it.

Last Sunday I was there again to take away food! I complained about half a chicken that I had taken with me a week before! Chicken skin is dry under the skin, meat is already dried out and I like fresh chicken for my money and not stale, dried out chicken! I picked up half a chicken from a street vendor in Neuaubing. Unfortunately, when I got home I realized that it looked more like a house chick. The scales showed 335 grams. And that for 8 €!!!!!! Outrageous and bordering on exorbitant prices. Never again!!!!!!!!!

Saturday giant schnitzel at a great price

Super friendly staff and the Cordon Rouge was a dream. The side salad could be a little less iceberg lettuce but that is complaining at a very high level. ;) Preus/performance is true and what others call old-fashioned can also be found rustic and cozy.

A nice neighborhood inn with friendly service and good beer. But that was it, the breading of the Wiener Schnitzel was crumbly and I would include the fried potatoes on the menu without the word brat. Unfortunately prepared carelessly. The Rewe across the street saved my evening. Luckily, Mr. Hacker and Pschorr weren't there.

Everything here is really squalid... the shop is completely empty, but the service is extremely slow, absolutely unfriendly and inattentive. Tables are dirty and so is the cutlery. Every year we eat worse with more and more cheap ready-made sauces, over-fatty fries and/or fried potatoes, but the prices still rise from quarter to quarter, completely unjustified.... good tip, go somewhere else!!!

We had dinner here with my family 2 weeks ago. The waitress wasn't very friendly. When I eat at a restaurant, I don't have to tip. I didn't feel like tipping. The waitress wanted to embarrass me in front of other customers because I didn't tip. As long as the workers are working at this restaurant, I will never eat there again. Food great as always. Nothing special, but if you just want to go to a rustic Bavarian restaurant and like to eat schnitzel and chicken, this is the right place for you. Good prices and all schnitzels available either as turkey or pork. There was even a vegetable schnitzel.

When I'm in a hurry and my stomach is growling, I like to go to Bayerisches Schnitzel and Hendlhaus. I haven't been to the restaurant itself, I always take something from the street sales. The chicken here is fresh and very tasty. Especially not dry. Another thing I really like is the homemade potato salad. Delicious. 😋 You can also buy many other things there such as cordon bleu, schnitzel, fries, chicken wings,... Depending on the day of the week, there is something cheaper. The staff at the street sales are always very nice. 100% purchase recommendation

If you order something from the Schnitzel Haus, it should be ready, but you have to wait another 15 minutes until you get it. I won't be ordering here again

We were there for a long weekend and wanted to eat in the same atmosphere, which we succeeded in doing because the ambience really corresponds to the surroundings and is very rustic!!! The service staff was friendly and pleasant. I can recommend the original Wienerschnitzel to everyone. The portions are more than sufficient. The other dishes also looked quite tasty. I would definitely stop by again if I was there again.

A chicken house without chicken, and that at dinner time and with only a handful of guests in the restaurant. My husband then decided on a Wiener Schnitzel, which unfortunately was fried to death and the wafer-thin meat was therefore very dry. You almost only had breading in your mouth. The (fried) potatoes were unseasoned and soggy. Everything was very carelessly prepared and not seasoned. Unfortunately not a recommendation for me. Only the service was very friendly.

I sometimes get different variations of chicken here to take away. The food is always fresh and the service is friendly and everything is always quick. It's also good that there are parking spaces.
