Brasserie in Bamberg

We spontaneously went to the romantic courtyard last night for dinner as a group of five. The weekly menu and à la carte menu were good, and the salad was very good, usually included. The service and ambiance were very good, with large portions freshly prepared. The steak was cooked to perfection, and all other dishes were also perfectly prepared. 🌞 This was the case on our first visit, but on our second visit it was completely different. Gluten-free options were very poor. Not all burgers were available, even though the menu stated that all fries were not gluten-free. According to the server, they were fried in the same oil as the schnitzel. Fried food should be available in two fryers, and the gluten-free burger buns were half the size of normal ones. It was incomprehensible that we received salad instead of fries. Despite this, we still received a bill for crispy chicken. I didn't want to get upset and paid because salad was included instead of fries with the cheeseburger. At the beginning, the wrong drinks were brought, which I complained about. When I made the reservation, I was told gluten-free dishes were available, but apart from the burger buns, nothing was listed on the menu.

Whenever I'm in Bamberg, I always eat here at least one evening: a cozy courtyard in a rustic building, super friendly service, good regional cuisine at reasonable prices – and the burgers are fantastic! It's not a typical tourist trap, but mostly locals – you can tell!

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the brasserie from 1:30 pm to 11:30 pm, with only a short break. Marco and his team are outstanding. A very good reason to visit Bamberg again! 👍

The reservation in advance for 10 people went smoothly; we were able to watch Bundesliga after the city tour and had a very nice evening in a great restaurant with delicious food and very nice and friendly service. We really enjoyed it and had a wonderful evening!

Cool, modern atmosphere. Unfortunately, not very customer-friendly. Despite prior arrangements and a reservation, the agreed-upon arrangements were not honored. A shame. The waiter managed to cover up some things with his charm. The waitress, however, had a different attitude, one that was far from customer-oriented and friendly.

When paying by card, there's no preset tip – great, leave it that way! That way, people are happy to give a tip.

I'm not here often, but when I am, it's against my will (still good though).

Great restaurant with very dedicated and attentive service. The food was delicious, the football match shown was terrible ;-), but we were very satisfied. We'd be happy to come back if we ever make it back to Bamberg. One small downside: smoking was allowed in the completely enclosed and covered "outdoor area" after 10:30 p.m. I didn't need the smell of my clothes.

The store advertises events and special offers, but when you order, the employees say the manager thought the offer was last year and charge the higher price. There are posters in the entrance area saying Saturday, October 25th. They then promised shots, but they didn't arrive. I wouldn't go here again.

In short: Highly recommended! I was there yesterday around 7 p.m., and the place was already quite packed. The waiter was super polite and immediately offered me a table by the bar, which was perfect for one person. Since I was a Schalke fan, the fact that the game was being broadcast was a good coincidence. Otherwise, the beer was as good as expected, the wait time was comparatively short, the service was consistently friendly, even when the place got quite crowded, and the food was excellent—I can't complain at all.

We ate at the brasserie today and were served by a very friendly young lady. The food was definitely delicious; I had a shoulder of pork, but the sauce was a bit thin. Otherwise, nothing to complain about; we'd be happy to come back!

Nice atmosphere, very friendly service, but the food left a lot to be desired. It took a very long time and wasn't particularly good. I ordered fried potatoes instead of bread with my Franconian sausages. They arrived (for an extra charge), but they were mushy instead of crispy. The sauerkraut was missing, and the sausages tasted a bit stale. My husband's roast pork was swimming sadly in a thin sauce. The service was very nice, and we got two espressos on the house because of the lack of sauerkraut. We would have preferred good food, though.

I happened to pass by and absolutely hit the jackpot. Today I was accompanying a wheelchair user, and at first glance, the place not only looked very nice, but when I asked for a seat with access to power, they handled it incredibly friendly, understanding, uncomplicated, and courteous. After a few minutes, we were seated in the beer garden in the courtyard with a power outlet. Many thanks to Marco and his team for their helpfulness and first-class service! We'd definitely come back! Absolutely recommend it and give it 5 stars!

Highly recommended! Beautiful, rustic location with a very pleasant atmosphere. The cordon bleu with chanterelle mushrooms is very good, as are the tagliatelle pasta.

We had a sensationally delicious veal Wiener Schnitzel there. It was worth every cent. The service was super friendly. If we come back to Bamberg, we'll definitely eat here again!

Despite the restaurant being half empty, we had to wait a long time for our food. Guests who arrived later received their food much sooner. It also took a long time from the time we were seated to the time we asked for a waiter. All in all, you need a lot of patience. It doesn't matter how good or bad the food tastes.

We recently visited the Brasserie in Bamberg with friends and would like to share a nuanced account of our experience. First, the positive: The service was absolutely first-class – friendly, attentive, and professional staff who take their time with their guests. A minor complaint regarding the food was handled very accommodatingly and with a solution-oriented approach, which further underscored the excellent service. The atmosphere in the restaurant is also very pleasant: stylishly decorated, lively, and perfectly located in the heart of Bamberg's city center. The drink selection – especially the cocktails – also impressed us: top-notch in taste and beautifully presented. Now for the criticism: the food unfortunately didn't measure up during our visit. The Schäuferle (pork shoulder) that my companion ordered was a bit cold and the portion size was very modest. My meatloaf, on the other hand, was unfortunately dry and flavorless. As I said, the staff responded well to this, which we would like to emphasize very positively – but there is still room for improvement. Conclusion: We would definitely come back for a relaxed evening with drinks, good service, and a pleasant atmosphere. However, we would consider a different location for food next time.

I was there with some friends on a Saturday evening and received a very friendly welcome at the door. The service was attentive, and our drinks (very tasty cocktails and long drinks) arrived quickly throughout the evening. Another plus was the exceptionally delicious local beer. There was also a DJ there that evening, who really got the party going. So, if you're looking to party in Bamberg, this is the place to be.

I ate here a few days ago. It was truly delicious. The service staff was also extremely courteous and friendly. However (which is why I have to wear stars), I noticed the negative way the manager treated his employees. I've rarely seen a boss speak so disrespectfully and cholerically to his staff. It was extremely unpleasant, as I could hear it all the way to my desk. I work in the restaurant industry myself, and I would never speak to my employees like that. It's pure insolence and overstepping boundaries. I hope they take this criticism into account.

I ate there last week. The food and drinks were excellent and arrived quickly. Very friendly service. However, I was a bit shocked by how the manager (I think) treated his staff (he yelled at the service staff in front of the customers). That's unacceptable!

Very nice restaurant in Bamberg We also visited this restaurant on August 24th... after a friendly phone call (very good service), we were welcomed promptly... we were very satisfied so far, but the dishes were very bland... but the food was still delicious.

4 stars for the beautifully decorated terrace, with good taste and attention to detail, as well as for the kind and friendly staff. In the end, we asked for the bill and the lady kind of forgot about us. We had to get up from the table and ask for payment, otherwise we would have waited a long time, she had forgotten about us. 3 stars for the dishes. Maybe we didn't choose what we needed, we wanted traditional dishes. Beef roulade with tasteless vegetables, dessert - pieces of baked coca, powdered with sugar next to a glass of something very liquid (a little vanilla would have been good) and with a lot of whipped cream, also without a special taste. The chef probably follows certain recipes and that's it, without adding a little bit of his own input to give the dishes a plus.

I had slow-roasted pork, similar to Spanish suckling pig, very delicious, and a good jug of beer. 22 euros. Friendly service. 4.5 rating.

We were in Bamberg over New Year's Eve and ate at the brasserie on New Year's Eve. Very friendly service, good food, and a very cozy atmosphere – we sat in the covered and heated beer garden.

There were seven of us and we had a very pleasant evening. The waiters were super friendly, helpful, and unobtrusive. The food was delicious, and we all got it at the same time. The prices were reasonable for the location and the quality. We sat in the heated conservatory, and I was pleasantly surprised: it was comfortable, and despite the cold outside temperatures, we didn't freeze. Definitely recommend it.

Very, very delicious food! Highly recommended. The staff were also very friendly. The dishes with fries come with ketchup and mayo (large bottles). Perfect. The wait time could have been shorter. Another good thing was that it was at the perfect temperature, and there was a large window.

Hier kann man richtig gut essen und zwar nicht nur typisch bairische Gerichte sondern auch köstliche Burger, Salate, Currywurst. Alles sehr lecker! Der kleine Innenhof ist so gemütlich und das Personal unglaublich freundlich und schnell. Sonderwünsche werden ohne Diskussion entgegengenommen und soweit möglich auch realisiert. Hier sitzt man gerne und lange bei Kerzenschein bis spät in den Abend und genießt die guten Biere und andere Getränke in gemütlichser Atmosphäre. Das die Brasserie ganz nebenbei auch eine Sportsbar ist, ist ein weiteres witziges und interressantes Item. Wir kommen wieder!

Haben beide Spargel mit Bärlauchpesto bestellt. Es kamen 3! Stangen Spargel mit einem Kleks Pesto 5 kleinen neuen Kartoffeln. Kostenpunkt 15,90€. Preis-Leistung stimmt hier leider gar nicht. Können wir nicht empfehlen! Ansonsten hat das Ambiente gepasst, Wein war gut, und das Essen hat, wenn auch spärlich gut geschmeckt.

This place is an easy 5 star from me. All across the board. Really beautiful aesthetically. The staff was some of the friendliest I've ever had, and the food was huge and very tasty. Much like alot of Bamberg, they have their own brewery and their drinks were delightful. I'm so very happy I came here. I encourage anyone else to do the same. As a tourist, they treated me really well, and sat at my table to converse when they had downtime. I had a few shots with the staff who were professional from start to finish. I only wish we had a place nearly as good as this at home.

Had dinner there We both ordered Schäuferla with dumpling and sauerkraut. Food was quick because it was just warm. Schäuferla was a bit small, as were the two small dumplings. The taste was good, but the portion was borderline for men.

On my way out of the bathroom I got catcalled by a customer and staff laughed and cheered. Miserable and unacceptable.

Wir wurden sehr nett empfangen und bekamen einen Tisch mit guter Sicht auf den Fernseher zugewiesen, da wir gerne während unseres Aufenthaltes die Bundesligaübertragung sehen wollten. Der Service des Personals, insbesondere von Max, war sehr zuvorkommend. Das Essen war sehr lecker. Gerne empfehlen wir das Lokal weiter.

There were two of us eating burgers there today, so my husband reserved a table for both of us three days in advance. Unfortunately, the visit there was anything but pleasant. The quality of the food has decreased incredibly significantly compared to 3 years ago. Prices have increased while portion sizes have been reduced by almost half! felt like it had sunk... The burger was small and only a handful of fries - half the plate was empty. Having to wait almost an hour at a bar table in the aisle (even though we wanted to go out for a fancy meal) was really tough. The waitress was friendly and gave us a cappuccino on the house, but in the end that couldn't take away the disappointment. Very very sad and unfortunate.

I can recommend this place. The restaurant is in the backyard. You enter the restaurant through a glass door through a corridor. The food was delicious. The service was great. Very nice cellars. Why I deducted a star: The homemade lemonade was bitter and there was too much ginger, unfortunately.

Went to eat for the first time. Very friendly and attentive staff. It seems a little cool when you come in. But it is a quiet and pleasant dining experience. The starter was amazing, avocado tartare. Unfortunately, the main course wasn't hot, both plates were rather cold, and not something special for me. The dessert was really delicious. Overall a four out of five. We will eat something different next time and let ourselves be surprised. You should always visit a restaurant at least twice.

We liked the atmosphere. The drinks were well chilled. Friendly service. For 12 of us, the food was sometimes good and sometimes not so good. After the second meal - sausage salad - I have to increase it to ☀️☀️☀️☀️.

5 Star Rating: I was a guest in the brasserie with my family today and it was a thoroughly successful visit. We were served very friendly and politely, the service was simply top! The food was excellent – ​​really impressive from the quality to the taste. There is also special praise for the cleanliness of the toilets, which is not a given in restaurants and is definitely a big plus. Five stars are deserved for that alone. Unfortunately, since we've traveled over 300 km, we can't stop by often, but when we're in the area again, we'd love to come back. Thank you for the great experience!
