What a fantastic experience! The food was incredible and the service was equally impressive. Highly recommend making a reservation— we went on a Monday night and it was still packed. Truly some of the best tapas I’ve ever had.

We visited the winter village; it was very nicely done and had a great atmosphere.

5 out of 5. If this place were in my hometown, I'd be there every weekend. The food is not only visually stunning but also tastes amazing. The service is superb. The ambiance is wow. I especially love the beautiful seating areas and table lamps. I'll definitely be back.

I had a fantastic evening at Bolero with my colleagues. The food is absolutely superb. The price-performance ratio is perfect. The portions are generous, and I was more than satisfied after just three tapas. The staff are all very friendly. We booked a table for 2.5 hours and were politely informed that the other guests were already waiting. I think this concept is great. It gives everyone an equal chance to have a good evening. I'd gladly come again.

First of all, the tapas were amazing! We ordered a bunch of different tapas, and each one was delicious. The bartender’s attitude was great, but the Sangria we ordered was really bad it had almond syrup in it so we couldn’t even finish it

The food was very tasty, with a good selection of tapas. The service was uncoordinated. At times, there was barely any attention, and then two servers were at the table one after the other. It gets so crowded after 6:30 p.m. that the atmosphere definitely suffers. The cocktails are substandard.

It was simply excellent! Cozy, friendly service, delicious food! A bit pricey for Bamberg, but if it's good, it's worth it! It's probably even nicer in the summer, as there's a lovely garden!

I've rarely experienced such a good overall package in a restaurant. Top-notch food, top-notch service, top-notch ambiance. I'd go back anytime; absolutely recommend it for a relaxing evening.

Pleasant atmosphere, and nice and active young waiters. A table reservation was necessary, as the place was completely full in the evening. Our party of four ordered about 16 different tapas dishes, which filled the table and our stomachs. The tapas were ordered smoothly by marking the desired quantities of each on a pre-printed list, and subsequent additional orders were also received quickly.

The Spanish seafood paella was delicious and fresh, with the perfect seasoning and perfect consistency of rice! The grilled chicken wings were fragrant, but the octopus and potatoes were just average.

And also, for Asian girls, just a kind reminder: if you have dinner here, you may also receive the “goodwill” of an old gentleman, who is suuuper friendly. He will keep watching you, sizing you up, and staring at you while you eat. If you treat him with respect for older people and smile back, he will come over to talk to you, tell you his age, and the fact that he does not have a wife, letting you fully feel his "enthusiasm" and "friendliness". He will flatter you—telling you how young and pretty you look, and of course, how all Asian girls are so beautiful. Once he learns you are here studying alone, he will generously offer his pity: “Poor thing, no father, no mother here, living all by yourself, how sad!" Completely ignoring the fact that we are mature, independent adult women who can take care of ourselves. Even if you try to keep physical distance, he will keep moving closer, trying to sit nearer and nearer to you. This all happened to us three "poor" girls at around 21:00 on 28.09.2025. ---------------------------------- Many thanks to the hotel reception staff: while this old man was talking to us, they kindly gave us three non-alcoholic drinks and offered the old gentleman a glass of alcohol. The drinks for us were very good. Thank you very much. Note: This was just a very personal, random encounter and has nothing to do with the restaurant itself. The food and the service here are truly excellent, and I give this place five stars.

Beautiful tapas bar in the heart of Bamberg Good service, friendly staff - but: The cleanliness could be improved! Out of 6 glasses, 1 was clean, I returned 3, and 2 had their previous customers' lipstick removed. If I had already been to the restroom at the beginning, I certainly wouldn't have ordered anything! There's still a lot of potential here! For those who don't care: Nice atmosphere in the garden, stylishly decorated, good food, and you can have a good conversation, even when it's full.

Nice atmosphere, like in Andalusia. Not exactly cheap, but really good. Friendly and competent service. Beware, the portions are really large, even for the tapas, which justifies the prices.

The food was good, and even intolerances were taken into account. The atmosphere was pleasant, and the service was attentive and quick. I find the tapas too expensive, but the prices for salads and chicken pasta were OK. We enjoyed happy hour; the cocktails were delicious and well-mixed. We'd be happy to go again.

Nice place with nice outdoor seating area. I am Spanish, so I wasn't very impressed by the food . The fried tapas were ok, but Paella does not do the cut for me. Desserts were tasty, and the staff was friendly. If you remove the "Spanish food" expectations is a decent place.

Delicious! For me, this is the best Spanish tapas restaurant in the area. The selection is large and plentiful. My favorite is the fillet tips in a red wine sauce. The cocktails are delicious, but not cheap. We keep coming back!

The garden is cozy and idyllic. Unfortunately, it's very noisy inside. The cocktails are delicious, and the selection is extensive. The tapas are mostly convenience foods, so they're not exactly great. However, if you're looking for a pleasant cocktail evening, this is a good place to go, at least in the summer.

Super delicious! There's something new to discover and try every time. The staff is very friendly, has an answer to every question, and the kitchen really does great things – always a pleasure to come back for. Highly recommended, but only by reservation.

Hello, we were there for the Sandkerwa festival on Saturday. Even without a reservation, we got a table for four people. The seating host is very well-run and always finds a solution. Even the guests after us were seated, either quickly or immediately. The food arrived on time (the kitchen seems to be very well prepared). Repeat orders were also no problem. A successful evening for us.

We've been here several times in the last few months and were almost always rewarded with a great experience. With one exception, we've had no problem getting a table every time – both inside and outside. However, we recommend making a reservation for dinner on weekends. The service is always friendly and prompt. The portions are generally decent, but some of the meat dishes could be a bit more generous. The tapas are consistently delicious. The ambiance is very inviting – lovingly decorated both inside and in the beautiful garden/terrace area. The prices for food and drinks are absolutely fair. A particularly positive point: The entire facility is clean and well-maintained, and the restrooms are spacious and also very clean. A place we'd happily recommend and will definitely visit again!

A while ago, five of us ate at Bolero Bamberg. We had reserved a table in advance, so I don't know if you can get a seat on the spot. We were able to order our drinks fairly quickly, and they arrived promptly. We received good advice when ordering food, as we couldn't estimate how much to order 😉. The service was super friendly and attentive, and the food was simply delicious. We were absolutely thrilled and will definitely come back. Oh, and the location is also very pretty and inviting—it's a great place to spend a long time in comfort.

We celebrated our daughter's confirmation at Bolero Bamberg – and it was a complete success! With 20 people, we had a perfect spot, reserved especially for us until 5 p.m. That alone speaks volumes about the great service. The celebration featured three tapas starter platters and a vegan version – all fresh, delicious, and generously portioned. We actually thought everyone would order their own individual dishes, but the platters were so filling that we only ordered a few more tapas. The desserts were not only delicious, but beautifully presented. I would especially like to highlight the service: super friendly, attentive, and always present – without being intrusive. The drivers were given non-alcoholic wine, which was regularly refilled – a lovely gesture that shouldn't be taken for granted. The kids were thrilled too: fries and nuggets in huge portions. Absolutely fantastic value for money – everyone was full and delighted. Our daughter loves the Bolero – and after this day, all the guests understand why. The tapas make dining an experience: You can try many different things and simply savor your way through them. Something completely different for a celebration – we'll definitely be back!

The seating is very pleasant in the leafy courtyard. The selection of tapas was extensive and delicious. I just didn't like the aioli cream. It was obviously not homemade and not very spicy. Otherwise, everything was excellent. We'd happily go back. The value for money is also good.

I've been to this restaurant twice before—the second time with my mother. The food was delicious and served in less than 20 minutes. The service was excellent, and the server was very attentive. A particularly positive aspect was that he spoke Russian, which was very convenient for my mother. We really enjoyed everything and will definitely come back!

The taste was quite good but the price was out of proportion and the price for water, I don't know if they fly it in twice but 6.80 is just ridiculous and then you have to wait an hour for it 🤷

We were there last night at 5 p.m. Two adults and two children. The only complaint I had was that we couldn't order drinks without ice twice. Otherwise, the staff was very accommodating. Our table was very small, but they provided us with a side table for our many tapas 😀 The non-alcoholic cocktails were very, very tasty, and they also served them during happy hour from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. The food was really delicious 😋

We had fried calamari, sweet potato fries and paella. If I’m not wrong, the chicken in the paella had bones. So be careful when eating..also, the sangria was quite strong. Overall, decent place! Friendly staff, good service. Nice environment to chill as a couple or with friends.

As I was getting used to the slightly slower service in Germany, I fell in love with the relatively fast service and delicious food. It was the best!!

We were in Bamberg spontaneously and didn't have a reservation. I think it would be advisable, however. The waitress then found a table for us. We were very happy. From the start we were served very friendly and quickly. The food was very good. The waiters have everything under control and there is simply nothing to complain about. Thank you for the lovely evening. Particularly recommended are the Angus beef fillet tips, the bacon-wrapped dates and the tagliatelle with truffle sauce.

Edit: Reply to owner answer Since when is only one person in a group allowed to rate poor performance?! This would be new to me! Furthermore: John speaks of a group of 12 people, you of 14 people. Therefore, as the owner, you probably know exactly which table it was that evening. Because it was originally reserved for 14 people. 2 were ill at short notice and we reduced the reservation by 2 people. Yes, anyone who knows you should think that something like that doesn't happen. Otherwise we wouldn't have come to you again. Unfortunately, that's exactly what happened. So please don't distort the facts just because you don't like the rating. A reasonable apology would be appropriate at this point at the latest. But no, your answer reflects our experience that evening! Unfortunately, 0 star ratings are not possible. Unfortunately, in terms of friendliness and service, you deserve it.

We get the 2nd round - our latecomer nothing. We ask - slightly stroppy answer: still to come. We order tapas again and order the same food a second time for the latecomer. Our tapas are coming. Its not again. Now we want to pay because he hasn't received anything after more than 2 hours and get him a kebab around the corner... In the end there are 3 parts that no one ordered. Suddenly the colleague comes around the corner with 3 tapas. Now things got interesting. We should pay for these now because we just got them. That was too much for us. Now the waitresses in the background speak to each other in English - unfortunately we couldn't understand them acoustically. Take the food back with you - don't charge for it and say goodbye with a rude goodbye. We left over 800 euros in the store through various drinks and then they treat us like this?! A mistake that we can't do anything about? Anyone else would have apologized 5 times, given 3 tapas and given a schnapps on the house. This was our fifth time there and it was the last time. Too bad! Good service can be done differently - no matter how much stress you have, you have to remain cordial.

There is also a large outside seating area. We came here on a Friday evening so we decided to do a recon mission beforehand. We came right when they opened up to make a reservation for the evening. We are glad we did as the place was completely packed by the time we finished our two-hour meal. We started with some delicious and perfectly cooked fried calamari. This was followed by gambas al ajillo and pulpo Galicia, which are always two of our favorites. Both dishes were amazing! We were only half way done as we also enjoyed the pimientos de Padron and sweet potato fries with a soicy sauce. Again, these dishes were outstanding. For our final tapa, we ordered something I had never seen before on a tapas menu. It was called pasta rellena, which was simply noodles cooked in a Manchego cheese sauce. This dish was actually the hit of the evening; however, every item was superbly outstanding! My wife and I enjoyed two glasses of dry white wine. Our waitress was also worth noting as Nexhisa Zeko took fabulous care of us. She knew exactly when to bring out a new dish and take away an empty one. The meal, the atmosphere, the service, and the evening were excellent. I strongly recommend coming to Bolero and doing the dance of the tapas! Que deliciosa y muchas gracias!

Eigentlich mag ich das Bolero sehr gerne und gehe auch des Öfteren dort hin. Leider bin ich dieses Mal sehr enttäuscht. Am Samstag den 22.03.25 waren ich und 5 weitere (RESERVIERT) zum Essen im Bolero uns hat ein Stuhl gefehlt, also fragten wir eine Kellnerin die uns versicherte das es ok ist den Stuhl zu nehmen und stellte ihn zu uns. Alles war gut bis uns dieser Stuhl genommen wurde weil eine Gruppe kam die einer zu viel war. Ein anderer Tisch wurde umgesetzt für die besagte Gruppe (die Leute waren am Essen und mussten während des Essens aufstehen) Der Kellner war nicht gerade freundlich als er uns den Stuhl genommen hat obwohl wir ihn versucht haben zu erklären das uns dieser Stuhl zurecht gegeben wurde. Also haben wir uns zusammen gezwängt und versucht so gut wie möglich zu essen. Das witzige an der Sache ist...ein Tisch war komplett frei (ohne reservierungs schild), da hättet der Herr auch den Stuhl von nehmen können. Danach war die Atmosphäre an meinem Tisch eher negativ da alle Augen auf uns waren. Unsere weibliche Bedienung war aber sehr lieb, welcher wir auch Trinkgeld gegeben haben. Vielleicht das nächste Mal nicht so viel reservieren lassen?

I actually really like the Bolero and go there often. Unfortunately I am very disappointed this time. On Saturday March 22nd, 25, I and 5 others (RESERVED) went to eat at Bolero. We were missing a chair, so we asked a waitress who assured us that it was ok to take the chair and put it in front of us. Everything was fine until this chair was taken away from us because a group came that was one too many. Another table was moved for the group in question (the people were eating and had to get up during the meal) The waiter wasn't particularly friendly when he took the chair from us, even though we tried to explain that this chair was given to us. So we squeezed ourselves together and tried to eat as well as possible. The funny thing is...a table was completely free (without a reservation sign), so the gentleman could have taken the chair from there. Afterwards the atmosphere at my table was rather negative as all eyes were on us. Our female waiter was very nice and we also gave her a tip. Maybe don't reserve so much next time?

Choosing tapas together and writing them down on a piece of paper is a very good idea, it takes a while until you decide on the selection ;-) Food came very quickly. However, 6 to 7 euros for a bowl of tapas is also a proud price. But it was delicious. Would definitely come again.

The place is beautiful and very Andalusian, except for two signs, one Argentine and the other from Colombia. The food however leaves a lot to be desired. The tapas are very very small and expensive. The beer is not Spanish and they do NOT serve it cold. The product is not Spanish either and is not cooked by a Spaniard. I dare say that the chef has never gone for tapas in Andalusia or anywhere else in Spain. Very expensive. You leave hungry. They don't put bread (in Spain we eat with bread). And little variety of Spanish cuisine. Not recommended if you are looking for Spanish cuisine. But good atmosphere if you are going to have a WARM beer.
