Very nice atmosphere, efficient and friendly service. But: unfortunately the price-performance ratio of the food is not right at all. For this price I expect freshly prepared tapas of high quality. However, the tapas gave the strong impression of warmed-up convenience food. That's not a bad thing in principle, but then you can't charge such prices.

Leckere Tapas in allen Varianten im ehemaligen Polarbär-Garten in Bamberg. Alle Tapas, die wir probierten waren frisch und lecker, der Rosé des Hauses gut gekühlt und so ließ es sich gut aushalten in dieser inzwischen über 20 Jahre alten Bamberger Institution.

We visited here a few weeks ago for the Germany game against Denmark and wanted to write something here again, especially to "warn" people who want to come here at top times in the future. First about the situation: The restaurant was completely full and nothing was possible without a reservation (which we had). From the moment we arrived it was clear that the service was a bit overwhelmed. Drinks came slowly or not at all. Food was already cold when it came and one dish was wrong, but we were still charged for it... In summary, this part of the evening was a bit of a letdown. As already mentioned at the beginning, I can only speak of a very well-attended time here, hopefully the situation is (significantly) better normally...

Food was delicious. After 1 1/2 hours the boss very uncharmingly asks you that it's time to leave. You won't be asked if you want anything else or if everything was OK. assembly line. Eat there. Out - next. This is not how you imagine a nice evening. The last time I was in the Bolero. In Bamberg there are definitely more hospitable options to spend a nice evening.

We went twice to this place, while in Bamberg! The esconde time it was to watch the final of Eurocup 2024! The attendance was above the average and service was a bit slow, but OK!

We spontaneously came across the Bolero during our visit to Bamberg and got a place for two 😊 if you want to be on the safe side, you should reserve in advance. Parking is easily possible in the parking garage within walking distance. Large selection of tapas. Highly recommended 👍

Beer is great, the food doesn't taste good. The sousse is not “handmade” by “Knorr” or Dr. Oetker??? No idea.

I was there on the evening of June 26, 2024 and unfortunately I cannot recommend the Paella Valenciana.

Paella was tasty, rumsteak and ensalata con Pollo- tasty as well. Cocktails were super!!

Too narrow and too loud, too many people. Unfortunately overcrowded and too few service staff (but friendly), which leads to long waiting times. However, the food is delicious but very expensive.

Unfortunately very disappointed since the last time. We really enjoyed coming here back then to spend a lovely summer evening in the garden with the family. Unfortunately, what bothers us the most are the disproportionately high prices, especially for the tapas and drinks. Location is still beautiful. The garden is maintained and cared for. As well as the location is also fine. Parking is possible opposite at the police station or in the underground car park.

Everyone deserves a second chance. The same goes for the Bolero in Bamberg. Unfortunately the same experience repeats: - Ambience nice - Service ok - Tapas come quickly and just taste greasy - Aioli also only tastes greasy - White wine spritzer is 95% water - Sarti Spritz also too watery - Hugo also too watery A disappointing experience for just under 100€/2 people. Not recommendable!

We went to Bolero on a Thursday evening. The online reservation, which we made just 1.5 hours in advance, worked great. The drinks were served quickly and the tapas were really as tasty as in Mallorca. In the end the two of us paid around €60. You don't do this every week, but it's really worth a visit every now and then. 👍🏼

The food is very good, it's quick, there are lots of staff and everyone is very friendly, but it also has its price.

The food and the ambience are really great, but the service really leaves a lot to be desired. One walked around in a spaghetti top and the other wouldn't even let us have a smoke. We would have had to pay first and we wouldn't have been allowed to take our drinks into the garden. Then we went somewhere else. If this could be improved, everything would be really great!

I tried to celebrate my birthday there today. Unfortunately some of the food was cold and there was a fly in the cocktail. We raised it and nothing was done. We were also not told how much it would cost to drink a gift of sparkling wine there. In the end we were simply left with a bill of €35 for the champagne on the table with a curt answer. We knew from a waiter that it would cost €10 to drink a bottle here, but in the end the boss didn't like that and he simply changed it. That's not possible at all and should be said in advance, because then we wouldn't have opened the champagne in the first place. All they said was “it must have been a failure on our part” wow, for such an expensive restaurant in which we left more than €400, this could have been regulated differently and, as I said, discussed in advance. The bottle was a birthday present and if we had known that we wouldn't have opened it. We came all the way from Ansbach and drove 1.5 hours to eat there. Unfortunately it was a big mistake. Won't go there anymore.

If I reserve a table for 2 people, then I expect a table with 2 normal chairs and also exclusively for 2 people. We were offered an 8/10 person table with a wooden bench, or a beer barrel table with bar stools. If I want that, I'll go to Oktoberfest in Munich! We left this store immediately. I expect more for my money!

Very cool Spaniard! Aioli is to die for! Service is very courteous and kind, especially if you come alone. The ambience is traditional and stylish and it is also possible to get a seat spontaneously (even if the reservations seem very rigid. Although there are free tables, people are seated together at long tables instead of spreading the guests out a bit outside - but that's not wild 😇 This is how you start a conversation if you want..) Tapas are well selected and delicious! (Try the dates!!) Short assessment of the food ordered and not generally speaking: The salad is probably always changed. I'm only there once or twice a year and, subjectively speaking, I discovered a few cost-cutting measures (a shame) -> hence my star deduction. There is a bit of a gap between price and performance here - even when it comes to the quality of the tapas. It definitely tastes good, but each dish lacked a bit of “zing”. Everything seemed a bit careless and “quickly” prepared. -> therefore only 3 stars. Maybe in the future a little more effort can be made with side dishes/sauces/spices or the food used while keeping the price the same. Yes, that may reduce the margin - but the desire to come more often than once or twice a year increases! At least in my (subjective!!) case 😘😘 Price may be a little higher than expected but within reason. (approx. 130€ for 2 people with tapas, a main course and several drinks) If I drive past Bamberg again I'll stop again! 🥰 Info to drivers: Finding a parking space is cruel. (Possibly opposite in the Geyerswörth parking garage... but it feels like it's only big enough for a Nissan Micra..) Greetings ✌🏼

Dem Empfang war zunächst verhalten freundlich. Wir wurden zuerst an einen Tisch mit Bänken gesetzt. Auf Nachfrage konnten wir uns dann doch an einen Tisch mit Stühlen setzen. Unsere Servicekraft in der Bedienung war dann sehr freundlich. Wir hatten Serano-Schinken mit Dip, Chorizo in Tomatensauce, Garnelen-Spieße mit Bärlauch-Salsa und einen Brotkorb. Das war uns für den Mittag vollkommen ausreichend. Geschmacklich war es gut, aber die Intensität ist noch ausbaufähig. Das Bolero ist, zumindest im Außenbereich, wohl hauptsächlich für größere Gruppen am Abend ausgelegt. Dann dürfte das Ambiente sehr schön sein.

Went there just for a quick bite. We got a place in the sweet winter garden. Best aioli in the world!!!! Large portions justify the tapas prices, although I prefer smaller portions but more different things. I'd be happy to go into more detail and longer. Definitely a great place to hang out with friends.

We stopped by here by chance and were immediately impressed by the atmosphere and what was on offer. We couldn't help ourselves and of course we stopped in. The first impression was not deceptive, we were very satisfied. A very nice selection of tapas and the paella was very very tasty. The service was also very courteous and friendly, everything ran smoothly and we were served quickly. Highly recommended, we will definitely come back on our next visit to Bamberg.

The atmosphere is cozy, the staff is friendly and you can definitely relax here. But when it comes to the food you have to say that it's really more mass than class.

I now associate sweet potato fries less with Spain, but they were still good. The fried shrimp with sweet and sour sauce didn't really fit either, but if you're hungry... Service was friendly and attentive.

A very atmospheric place in the center of Bamberg. There is an underground parking lot nearby. The food is delicious, very tasty cocktails. The staff is friendly and they bring everything very quickly. On weekends, book a little earlier.

A great Spanish restaurant. We booked at the last minute whilst visiting town for a few nights. The service was very friendly and efficient; even though it was a big, full restaurant. English-speaking staff, great food cooked very well, and we were not rushed out; even though we were supposedly booked in for a set amount of time.

We went by in the early afternoon and wanted to eat tapas. Unfortunately everything was documented online. We then generously got a table for 4 people on site. The restaurant was well attended and many tables were reserved. The selection of tapas was huge and we ate excellent and delicious food. We had an hour which was completely sufficient. Food was fresh, hot and arrived in a short time. Paying wouldn't be a problem either, whether with a card or in cash. Even paying separately wasn't a problem. I can only recommend the restaurant. Anytime again 😋

We had reserved a table for two hours from 6:15 p.m. to 8:15 p.m. The waiter was very friendly and had a funny and relaxed manner. The food was served very quickly and tasted very good. A very negative thing to mention is that even though we had just ordered a cocktail, we were asked to leave at 7:30 p.m. because the next guests were already waiting. As I said, we had reserved the table until 8:15 p.m.! Unfortunately, at the end there is a bad aftertaste to an otherwise lovely evening.

Very cozy atmosphere. The tapas are good but in my opinion overpriced: minimum price currently 6.50 for e.g. 6 mushrooms or 6 bacon-wrapped dates... Larger tapas cost up to €10.50. To eat your fill you won't get less than €30 per person, excluding drinks.
