Nach kurzer Nachfrage,wir waren 6 Personen,konnten wir zusammen Platz nehmen, obwohl das Restaurant sehr gut besucht war. Die individuellen Wünsche der Steaks bezüglich medium durch usw.wurden in jeder Hinsicht erfüllt.Schnelle und sehr kompetente Bedienung. Fazit:Wir waren rund um zufriedenund kommen bestimmt wieder!

Providing service in different cities of Germany, Block House serves quality steaks at affordable prices. I eat either Herford ribeye or master cut, and I am very satisfied. Each steak comes with salad, garlic bread, and baked potatoes and is served with sour cream. Very nice, I recommend it. However, they only have pils beer, it would be better if they also serve local helles. The wines are okay.

We initially had walked by here because the prices look a bit on the high side. But after a couple of days we decided to give it a try and so glad we did. One of the best steak's i've ever had, cooked perfectly.

Absolutely great customer service and friendly staff! We ordered a couple of steaks which were juicy and tender but not too much flavor to them. The starter salads were delicious and very fresh! Great spot for a quality meal if you’re stuck in this area for food options.

The service was great and I was hoping, especially in Hamburg, that the food there would also be excellent. Unfortunately that wasn't the case, the meat (filet mignon) didn't taste very good, the garlic bread was dripping with garlic butter and wasn't as usual. The view was quite nice and what should be clearly highlighted is the excellent service from the employees at the table. Polite, courteous and extremely attentive.

This is a very good restaurant. The food is tasty, served very hot, and portions are large…easily shared by two ladies. The vibe is really great. Will definitely go back again. I had the schnitzel and fried potatoes which was excellent.

As a French I found the food was costly, lacking taste, the waiters are in a rush and under high pressure leading to unappreciable exchanges. This may be a specific thing to France, but when you go to a restaurant water (flat) is supposed to be free! Come on, flat water is cheap and when your pay 40€ you expect it. The meat is over cooked and the waiter made a mistake in my order, I suppose this was due to my poor spoken English but could also be due to the waiter being in a rush. The restaurant is very noisy and we felt like in a school cafeteria. The odor of burned meat spread all over the place. The place was too hot, this could be on purpose to push the customer to buy water 😂.

The food was great and the service was absolutely premium. I learned in the catering industry myself and can only congratulate such employees. Thank you, we will definitely come back!

We wanted a steak dinner after the Hamburg marathon and found this place. It was much nicer inside than I expected & the food was very tasty. Our server was great.

Unfortunately, we haven't had such a bad experience in a long time. How can you deal with this? The waitress was very rude, impatient, and there was 0 professionalism. I ordered the steak medium, but got it rare, I then told them, it was grilled, but it came like it was well done. In my opinion, the waitress who served us urgently needs training on the subject of service She didn't even ask if everything was okay with us, she was only at the table to clear things up and sell dessert, otherwise it wasn't a shame.

Also erst einmal vorab, die Bewertung von Jens K. vom Februar 2024 kann und will ich überhaupt nicht teilen!! Das Personal hat hervorragende Arbeit geleistet 👍. Freundlichkeit und auch Herzlichkeit wird hier echt noch großgeschrieben und wahrgenommen! Und das bei jedem Besuch von uns! Hier können sich so einige andere Betriebe in Hamburg ein Beispiel nehmen!! Nochmal herzlichen Dank an das Personal und das ausnahmslos. Wir freuen uns schon auf den nächsten Besuch im Block House. Food was actually very good. But the term classic burger means something completely different here. There's just a piece of burger meat and part of garlic bread. And that should be the Classic Burger🤷‍♂️ The atmosphere is very loud and uncomfortable. Can barely hold a conversation. Service was very mixed. Some are very polite and pleasant, others don't feel like it.

We have reserved a table for 3 people in the blockhouse branch on Jungfernstieg for May 3rd, 2024 by phone and online. A Belgian woman met us and said we couldn't make a reservation, although I called shortly after 12 this afternoon and my online reservation was confirmed. I told the lady this. Then I had to hear that I was accusing her of lying. Reluctantly she looked for a table and sat us down. I had to continue to observe that she was talking about me with a colleague. Absolute nonsense!!!

Food: Steak was not as ordered (medium = well done) the burger was served in the form of a meat loaf without a bun. Service was okay Ambience: very crowded and loud!!

We're here right now and I'm fed up with cardboard. Super friendly service and the food deserves a 10. The rump steak was on point, medium rare. Any time.

I ate T-bone. It was delicious. Served with salad with various toppings, potatoes with sour cream.

In short: loud, hectic, food quite okay but relatively expensive. I don't have to go there again.

Nice atmosphere, well-attended restaurant with great service and of course very good food. American Tenderloin was on point! The evening was rounded off with a delicious Caesar salad as a starter and a fantastic Belgian waffle with a scoop of ice cream. We recommend.

We were here for lunch with our daughter and were very pleased that every child gets something to paint, which makes the waiting time more bearable for the parents. The service was very friendly and quick, the restaurant was very well organized. The only thing that couldn't really be dealt with was reordering, as the dishes apparently had a tight budget. The restaurant was very full, which made it seem very loud and restless. What is positive to highlight is that in the toilet you are asked to report any grievances directly. Children's chairs are available and at the end there was a balloon and soap bubbles for the child 👍

The food was very tasty, we enjoyed it, but the blonde, young, slim waitress was very unfriendly, we won't visit this location again.

The food was great, the service was very friendly and even loving words with the bill (where else can you find something like that?!). Unfortunately the noise level was very high - because of course there was a lot going on. But the food and service put that into perspective. We recommend!

A rude waitress, she scolded us for sitting at a table that was not prepared according to her, when there were other clean ones. To begin with, if they let me choose a table I sit where I want and if not, they seat us. And by the way, the food was neither cheap nor expensive. Never to return.

We arrived from France to spend a nice weekend in Hamburg The Block House was supposed to be the end of the day. Unfortunately, it was a complete FLOP. Never again. Didn't want dessert or anything like that, just wanted to get away. There are definitely better restaurants. When it comes to a good steak, the price isn't that important, but here it's all about sales and getting customers through. It's a shame, it was a step better.

We have now been to the BLOCK HOUSE Jungfernstieg 3 times and each visit was perfect. After a short wait we were allocated a table. The restaurant was very full and yet the food was served very quickly. The price-performance ratio is great! Very friendly and attentive staff!!! We would like to come again.

Basically we were looking forward to the food. But unfortunately the vegetables were cold and overcooked. The rump steak should come rare, but does it have to be ice cold inside? The service staff tried hard, but seemed overwhelmed due to the rush. It's a shame - we've had very good experiences with Block House in other cities.

A very well-known chain of steak houses in Germany with an American concept. The Jungfernstieg restaurant just before Rauthouse (Town Hall) has a direct view of the Alster. The food is excellent, starting with a good fresh salad and Caesar sauce. The meat is tender, tasty accompanied by baked potatoes. But the menus are varied. Restaurant always full, so little wait on the ground floor. The welcome is excellent, the service fast. The nice bill, inexpensive daily menu, cost around 16 euros (starter and main course). Too bad the equivalent of this restaurant chain does not exist in France.

Food was delicious! I ordered Mrs. Something (steak). We didn’t have to way long for food to be served when the restaurant was full of people. Highly recommended ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I’d be happy to come back there one day.

The worst thing I have ever eaten in Hamburg. I ordered the New York Cheese Burger. The meal had nothing to do with a burger. A petty was served gratinated with cheese and two slices of tomatoes. The minced meat was unseasoned and unsalted. Unfortunately it was also very dry and the "burger" was served without any sauce. The waiters didn't even ask if everything was OK, while the others around them were constantly asking. The price paid was way too high! The portion is far too small, the hunger is still there. This store doesn't even deserve one star.

Great restaurant for families with children. The portions are well chosen and the food tastes very good. I ordered my steak medium rare and it was on point. The service was extremely friendly, even though it was very busy and everyone was stressed. The children are treated very courteously and I felt welcomed as a family. The facility is a little older, but it doesn't matter because the view of the Jungfernstieg is awesome. Price performance is very good, we paid under €100 for 4 drinks, 2 adult main courses, 2 children's meals and 4 desserts. We would love to come back when we are in Hamburg.

Taste, atmosphere and service are great

Great service, very nice, good food, for me the shop was very big and loud. The wine was really tasty. I had to order garlic baguette as dessert, thinking it would be included 🤷

Had a great seat right at the counter and ate a delicious rump steak with baked potato and side salad and drank a tasty red wine (Cotes du Rhone).

We were served by Nazire and it was really great service (which has unfortunately become rare these days). Great advice before the meal and courteous behavior during it. Lovely again.

Food is good to okay, unfortunately steak wasn't as ordered but that was probably due to rush hour, it was packed. This was also reflected in the ambience, the noise level was loud, it's a shame that there's obviously nothing you can do about it. The service overall was incredibly nice, very accommodating, polite and almost charming despite the full shop. The mistake with the steak was made up for without discussion by an invitation to dessert. We'll definitely be back, but never at peak time, that's for sure.

Somehow better than all the other branches in Hamburg… service staff very nice, very nice location with a great view of the Alster, good meat beautifully prepared. Keep it up, I will recommend this store.

A nice place to dine in with a good view and good ambience. The steak is not jaw-dropping but it's good enough, be sure to ask for the characteristics of your steak for the best experience because I had a fatty bit. What actually was the show-stopper for me was the salad, it's really a great salad. All in all it's good if you want to take people for something nice, but I honestly think that I've had better steaks for cheaper, for what the name is worth. It was my first time here, maybe it's normally better. The service is great though :)

Meat, if you come to this chain restaurant you do it to eat meat; although the cooking of my meat was slightly different from what was requested, it was very good, with an excellent taste; I was satisfied as always when I come to these places, I enjoyed it so much that I came back to try another dish that my partner had eaten, a lamb that was amazing to say the least! I forgot, a beautiful view of the river.

Well, I actually really enjoy going to the Block House. The food is tasty, the service is good. Unfortunately, portions have been noticeably smaller and prices significantly higher over the years. This started before Corona, but it is no longer sustainable now. Side dishes such as fries are served in regular children's portions. The side bread has halved. So you leave the restaurant with a bad feeling that the price/performance ratio is no longer right. EITHER INCREASE PRICES OR REDUCE PORTIONS. NOT BOTH!

Of course, the Block House should not be missed when visiting Hamburg! I am absolutely thrilled by the friendliness of the entire team and that the guests' wishes, whether they have already been expressed or have just been requested, are fulfilled as quickly as possible to the greatest satisfaction. Despite the restaurant being full, everyone was always friendly and helpful! Respect to you for doing this job so well and remaining friendly even when customers complain.
